*dreamy sigh* oh I loved that scene in Coda where Beth threw herself into Daryl’s arms and he just whispered softly to her that he was there and then they sat by a fire later on, her head against his shoulder before asking him how he survived, and he looked softly down and said “To find you.” Then they shared a tender, passionate kiss and the episode ended. 😌

It's just so funny to me how the Grady Hospital arc doesn't even exist in the comics yet they went out of their way to make a whole new storyline just for Beth. And correct me if I'm wrong, but literally all the other storylines of the OG show except the CRM were all in the comics. There's no way they did this just to kill her off AND Have Noah die literally like what 4 episodes later??

Plus why have all that mistery around Grady and the whole situation there?? Even the GA should be able to come to such conclusion.

GUYS HOLY SHIT IDK HOW I SAW THIS BUT LOOK:

In this scene of DD episode 6:

We get a call back to “Still” I don’t want to spoil anything for anyone but it’s not really a major spoiler. They are at The Nest having dinner and Daryl says cheers to everyone in French at the scene pictured above. He then specifically cheers to Isabelle on the side which is a call back to “Still” when Beth and Daryl cheers in the moonshine shack. The cups even look the same as the ones in “Still” (shocking).

BUT LOOK WHAT IS RIGHT ABOVE DARYLS HEAD ON THE COLUMN:

ITS A CODA

THE MUSICAL SYMBOL AND NAME OF BETHS “final episode”.

This is all I needed to see before this season comes to an end. She’s coming back. When? I have no idea. But girlie is coming back.

Keep Me chapter 3: Did You Think I Had Forgotten?

They just stand there for a few seconds. The air between them feels charged and they’re so close that she wouldn’t even have to take a step to be able to place her hand against his warm cheek. Beth is the first one to break a tentative smile, sweet and nervous and a breathy laugh escapes her lips which makes Daryl laugh a little too and smile bashfully, looking down at his boots briefly before meeting her gaze again. He unfolds his arms and turns his body to face her, leaning one hand against the countertop in a vain attempt to act casual. It’s not working for him either, it would appear.

Keep Me chapter three is here, finally! I intended to get this out a couple of weeks ago but life happens and my inspiration disappeared for a little while. It’s back now though and hopefully the wait for chapter four won’t be as long! (Although I do have a BHF23 idea I might work on first 😬).

So let me get this straight about these spinoffs....

So far we know that on Isle of the Dead, they are going to be in New York, ziplining between buildings, growing food on roofs, and all that with a million walkers wandering the streets below (per President of AMC on a podcast). We know that it's supposed to be a "madhouse" that they are "thrown into" with "waring fractions" that they "get caught up in" (per Gimple in this Comicbook.com article.) We have heard an announcement of additional cast members (per AMC official announcement). We even know a lot more details from spoilers that I will choose to remain silent about. They even have a snazzy poster!

And then we have this Rick and Michonne spinoff. We already know that it's going to be "an epic and insane love story" and that we will see them find themselves again. We've even been told we will see a return of "Machete Rick" and apparently even a Governor-whipping badass Michonne. We know that we will learn more about the group Michonne met up with and WTF Rick's been doing all these years at the CRM. We know this will be a continuing series (and will probably become the main series once everyone reunites eventually like everybody keeps alluding to). We know that both Andrew and Danai are executive producers and are closely working with Gimple "everyday" on this show. We know all this per EW and Comicbook.com articles and the preview special. They also made sure to have a snazzy poster as well.

And this is what we know about the Daryl spinoff: Daryl is going to go off along to France on some sort of mission and he'll run into those variant walkers shown in TWB Coda.

THAT IS LITERALLY IT.

Nahhh...That's not suspicious or anything. Especially since this is the FIRST Spinoff AMC announced.

And...this is what Norman has to say about it:

"If you look back to my history on [The Walking Dead], I've just been fighting nonstop, like all I do is fight, fight, fight. I never get nice things, I'm constantly... If I find something I like, it's taken away from me."

And...

"I just wanna see something different. I want the tone to be different. I want the look to be different." (per this LEO interview).

And...

"There’s some of the characters on the show that are missing; maybe I’ll run into one or two of them."

Oh...yeah...and lets not forget Norman is also making sure we know he is just a simple actor who's just going to be playing a part in this spinoff that is written for him by the writing team and he has absolutely no say in the story that will ultimately go down...

Yeah...I'm sure there's definitely not something weird about any of it. /s/

Oh but we do have a poster...apparently.

Anno Domini by ApocalypseMarried

After taking a bullet in the head, Beth wakes up. It's the morning that Rick carried his dying son in his arms to her family farm. With her memories of the next two years fully intact, she goes about trying to set things right. But maybe getting Daryl Dixon to come around just takes time. Maybe there’s nothing she can do to save him, or herself. Are her efforts misguided? Are some things decided by destiny?

"You awake, finally?" Maggie's voice interrupts them as she stomps into the kitchen, mud already on her boots, a few fluffs from chicken feathers clinging to the cuffs of her jeans.

First comes a rush of sadness. She'd hoped Maggie was alive out there somewhere. She starts to pull away from her dad, intent on, once again, pulling Maggie into her arms, but stops short.

It hits her, all at once. There's no sign, no sudden flash of light, there's just something about the scene of her father, being doctor daddy and concerned in their kitchen that smells so perfectly like lemon, and the foreboding sky outside, and the way the barn looms at Maggie's rounded back. There's a burden in that barn. There's something shadowy in the corner of all their eyes. They can't look at it straight on, even when it's right in front of them.

"C'mon, get dressed," Maggie doesn't seem excited to see her either. "Patricia and Jimmy need help with the peaches, and Otis just went hunting—"

Hershel interrupts Maggie with a shake of his head, "I don't think she's well, Maggie, can you help them?"

Maggie sighs heavily, but manages not to roll her eyes as she agrees with a subtle nod. She turns on her heel and leaves.

Beth is still stranded and wordless in the kitchen, looking back and forth between them. Slowly, she sits down. Not even in a chair, just on the ground.

"Beth?" Her father takes a hold of her wrists, stooping down. "How do you feel? Faint?"

"Yeah," she answers vaguely. "I just… I had a strange dream. Got up too quick." She speaks in a toneless, slow voice.

I remember this day. Not the details, but the big picture.

Her father pours her a glass of orange juice, and hands it too her, "Might just be low blood sugar."

She wants to just stare at them, wants to bask in their presence. They are already looking at her like she's crazy. "Maybe, I oughta go back to bed. Just for a little while."

"I think that's a good idea. Go lie down. I'll come check on you in a bit." He helps her stand up, takes the empty glass from her after she downs it.

Much slower than she arrived, Beth retreats back to her room, glancing back over her shoulder to see his face. Just as she remembers him.

Otis went hunting. Maggie fed the walkers in the barn. Beth helped Jimmy and Patricia pick peaches and fix the fence. They made it back to the house for lunch and then there was shouting in the distance. A man running across their property with a dying boy in his arms. His son.

She gets back in bed, but doesn't lie down. Her mouth is dry, suddenly, in spite of the citrus bite of orange juice still lingering on her tongue. She closes her eyes tight, then reopens them. It's all still the same.

Reading about a couple of Near Death Experiences, she knows that sometimes you see things that happened in your life, before you die. But this is different, and wrong, and too late. It just keeps going, every second an eternity of the past. Her mother is already gone. She should have gone back far enough to see her. She's not picking peaches with Patricia and Jimmy. Maggie took her place.

It's different.

It's the past.

That screams suspicious to me, it pretty much was posted the same day they posted the "Choose who you'd bring back" thing. For reference, this picture was posted 2 hrs before.

His head snaps up to meet her gaze and the air in Beth’s tiny bedroom shifts. That tension is rising rapidly between them again, Daryl’s eyes are dark with the same intensity they held that candlelit night in the funeral home kitchen and it sends a bolt of warmth straight to her core. Everything in her body is begging her to reach out, to close the distance between them and finish what they started all those years ago.
