Bernese Mountain Dog vs Swiss Mountain Dog
Tumblr media
Meta Description
Bernese mountain dogs are one of four canine breeds. They are collectively referred to as Swiss mountain dogs.
What characterizes a Bernese Mountains Dog from a Bigger Swiss Mountain Dog?
When adding the component to your extended family. Are you thinking of a Swiss Mountain Dog or a Bernese Mountain Dog? Let's examine the distinctions and parallels between these two outstanding breeds.
The Greater Swiss Mountain Dog has its origins in Julius Caesar's war canines. Which he used to lead his forces across the Alps in an attempt to bring down Europe. These dogs, inherited from Cesar's mastiff dogs, were employed by the Swiss. To pull carts filled with dairy and meat goods up the mountains to the marketplace. Their journey has become known as "the destitute male horse" as a result.
Although Switzerland has produced numerous amazing dog breeds. None is certainly as well-known as the enormous, tricolored Bernese Mountain Dog. These stunning and loving canines are easy. Recognized by their striking markings and size, they are well-suited for hard work. However, there is another Swiss breed that shares its cultural roots and appearance. People occasionally mistake the Greater Swiss Mountain Dog, a devoted. And powerful member of the Working Group, for a Bernese. Continue reading to find out how to distinguish between these two Swiss Alps dogs.
Closely linked to the Greater Swiss, the Bernese Mountain Dog is native. To an area of Switzerland well-known for its chocolate and cheese. The Bernese were employed for both livestock and pulling. Both are Saint Bernard and Rottweiler foundation breeds.
A Short History of The Bernese Mountain Dog
The Appenzeller Sennenhund, Entlebucher Mountains Dog, Greater Swiss Mountain Dog. Bernese Mountain Dog are the four representatives of the tricolored species. Of Swiss mountain dogs. In the past, Swiss Mountain dogs served as general-purpose farm dogs. For their families, driving animals, pulling milk wagons. And keeping an eye on the property and wildlife. The Bernese Mountain Dog is thought to have originated from a mix. Of certain native Swiss mountain agricultural dogs and big old Roman military dogs. They were introduced to the region about 2000 years ago. During the Roman conquest of Helvetia (modern-day Switzerland). Large canines with exceptional power and endurance were the product of the cross.
Some referred to them as the Clydesdales of the canine world because of their skill at carting. The Bernese Mountain Dog was originally named the Durbacher after a location. Where the breed's predecessors were most prevalent and preferred. Has a lengthy and fascinating history. They were also referred to as Berner Sennenhunde. Which means "Mountain Pasture dog of Berne" in German. Eventually, the Canton of Berne, a region in Switzerland. Where the type of dog originated, came to be renowned.
In the past, there were many Bernese Mountain Dogs in their own country. Still, the breed's popularity started to decline. It was almost eliminated in the middle of the nineteenth century as a result of changes. In agricultural technology. And a lack of official initiatives to breed. Nonetheless, the breed was saved from extinction by Professor Albert Heim and Swiss cynologist Herr Franz Schertenleib. The popularity of the Bernese Mountain Dog started to rise gradually. Farmers from all over the region began bringing their Dürrbächler dogs to dog shows. At the beginning of the 20th century, they also took part in breeding initiatives to improve the breed. The Schweizerischer Dürrbäch-Klub was eventually established, and the breed's standard was created. It was later established that the proper moniker given to the breed is Berner Sennenhund, and this continues to be how the breed is known in its country of origin. The Bernese Mountain Dog, or BMD as it is called in the West, is one of the most widely recognized breeds in all of humanity today.
An Overview of the Greater Swiss Mountain Dog's History
The Greater Swiss Mountain Dog originated from Mastiff-type canines that were employed 2000 years ago in Roman armies. Out of the four varieties of Swiss Mountain Dogs, they are the biggest and the oldest. They were developed to drive livestock, serve as security dogs, and be draft dogs. Before two specimens were given to Dr. Albert Heim, who identified the breed and had it registered with the Swiss Cynological Society in 1909, this breed was on the edge of destruction in the late 1800s. The Fédération Cynologique Internationale released the first standard in 1939. Because of their dependable, peaceful nature, these dogs are now mostly bred for relationships, but they were once valued for their ability to protect.
Comparable appearance and place of origin
Under the prefix Nashem, Sara Karl, an AKC judge and the AKC representative for the Bernese Mountain Dog Club of America, has been producing and exhibiting Bernese since 1986. "Only when the Berner is removed from coat," she responds when asked if people frequently mix up the Bernese Mountain Dog and the Greater Swiss Mountain Dog.
The primary similarity between the two breeds, according to Karl, who has bred over 100 leaders, performance-titled Berners, and two National Specialty winners, is their physical characteristics and traditional purpose. They are equally enormous breeds of canines in black, red, and white. They are both Swiss canines that were created to be used for pushing carts filled with products to markets.
However, Liz Coit, an AKC breeder of excellence and member of the Greater Swiss Mountain Dog Club of America, pointed out that the Berner is a more popular breed than the Swissy and, therefore, more recognizable to most people. Frequently, people inquire as to whether the Swissy is a Berner or, better yet, a shaved Berner. Naturally, when a Swissy is a puppy, it's frequently mistaken for a Beagle, and when it's an adult, for a Saint Bernard. Therefore, I believe the problem is the Swissy's unfamiliarity with the wider population.
Coit, who owns three Swissies, among them Shine, the 2020 Ambassador of the Breed winner, concurs that the breed's appearance and background as farm dogs are similar. Regarding both breeds, she states, "They are recognized for their eye-catching tricolor coats and attitude." They have gone to market and greeted friends and customers who visited the farm, despite being incredibly committed and devoted to their families. Both act as watchful guards, alerting the family to any imagined threats or even just a shift in the wind's direction.
Variations in Coat and Character
Even though many confuse the Swissy for the Berner, there are distinct structural differences. The Greater Swiss Mountain Dog breed guideline states that male Swissies should weigh between 115 and 140 pounds and have a shoulder height of up to 28.5 inches. Male Berners can grow to a height of 27.5 inches and weigh between 80 and 115 pounds. They are slightly smaller than other breeds.
Another notable distinction between the breeds is their coats. While the Swissy has a smaller double coat, the Bernese has a longer one. As Coit notes, both have a dense undercoat, thus a significant amount of shedding is to be expected. She goes on, saying, "There are some differences between the Swissy and Berner standards, such as the markings (which are brown and white) and head form. Compared to Berner breeders, we are more tolerant of marking diversity in Swissies, and naturally, our coat is not as defining a characteristic as it is in Berners.
The Swissy has a more intense industrial temperament than the other breed, even though both are friendly with youngsters and devoted to their families. While the Swissy breed standard refers to them as "alert and vigilant," the Bernese Mountain Dog breed regulation characterizes Berners as "alert and good-natured." Furthermore, the questioning Swissy is more eager to make strangers with new individuals than the aloof Berner. Karl claims that while both are straightforward to train and get along well with people, "Bernese are a little sweeter than the Greater Swiss."
Dedicated and Caring for Dogs
In the Swiss region of Bern, the Berner breed of farm dog was developed for all-around use. Karl claims that farmers employed them for farm security, pulling carts of milk and cheese to markets, and moving milk cows from a particular pasture to another. Possibly because of their history of collaborating closely with farmers, this kind and affectionate breed is committed to its family.
Karl believes that the breed's attributes of beauty, stockiness, and love apply to them. She claims that having a Berner requires a lot of hair loss. She recommends leather seating and an excellent vacuum. She claims that although these dogs enjoy going on walks and travels and enjoying the cold, they don't enjoy being left outside by themselves for long periods. They are also adversely affected by hot temperatures. Although they may survive in warmer climates, you should keep them out of the sun during the hottest parts of the day.
According to Coit, among the Sennehund breeds (Swiss mountain dogs), the Swissy is one of the oldest and biggest. They were also bred to be all-purpose farm dogs, trained to perform duties including herding, transporting milk carts, driving livestock to markets, and simply keeping an eye on the home and property. The Swissy's harsh bark of caution and alertness serves as a sentinel, a legacy of its guardian pedigree.
Like their breed, they are devoted and caring and yearn to be with the people they love. According to Coit, as long as they have long walks in the morning and at night, they are content to laze around all day rather than being busy dogs. They will love it too, though, if you educate them on how to do drafts or herd or take them climbing every day. Since they were bred as shepherd dogs, they tend to gather kids, thus it's critical to teach them how to walk on a slack connection.
For experienced owners or owners prepared to learn everything these huge breeds demand, both types may make wonderful companions. To ensure that the pet you take home is fit and well-bred, though, do your homework on prospective breeders. Karl recommends using Bernergarde.org to look up possible breeders of Berners. And now you can recognize the differences between these strong Swiss breeds, should you be lucky enough to meet one, regardless of whether they're the ideal fit for you.
Lifestyle, Instruction, and Temperament
Because of their affectionate nature and commitment to their families, both kinds are highly valued. In terms of stature and disposition, the Swiss are a little more threatening. They are devoted guardians who are a little darker in spirit but not unfriendly. These strong dogs tend to go through the puppy stage more slowly, and they have a booming bark that your neighbors could not enjoy. Due to their size, they may test a parent's tolerance throughout this protracted puppy stage. At 100 pounds, their ungainly, awkward bodies might make bumps and huge paws too much for them to handle.
It's well known that Bernese Mountain Dogs are more reserved, easygoing, and extremely mindful of their body language when around young children, much like a teddy bear. Although both breeds make wonderful family pets, the Bernese would prevail in the Gentle Giant battle over the Swiss.
Instruction
When it comes to training, food is a terrific motivation to assist teach positive habits in Swiss Mountain Dogs, which can be a bit more resistant , and should start training young. They pull stronger when wearing a safety harness throughout leash training and don't react well to them unless they are being hauled.
Similar to Swiss dogs, Bernese are intelligent canines that are more motivated to please their owners. They are more vulnerable to criticism and separation because of their loving disposition. If they are left alone for extended periods, they will exhibit undesirable behaviors because they would like to be with the family.
Work out
Both breeds need an average amount of daily activity. They work well for owners who enjoy taking their dogs for peaceful walks or hikes in the outdoors, but they are not the best fit for serious bikers and joggers who like training alongside their pets. Both make excellent camping dogs, and they can even tow children and camping supplies in a wagon.
Every day, the Berner and the Swissy require one hour of exercise. Whether or whether there is snowfall on the ground makes no difference in fact, they would both like it. They require long, leisurely walks through the nearby park or natural reserve because they are big dog breeds. They both enjoy being outside and will develop cabin fever if kept indoors for an extended period.
Due to their huge bodies and joints, neither one of them should be trained aggressively while they are puppies. The best course of action is to completely avoid physically demanding tasks because too much pressure can lead to abnormalities in development.
With less social engagement during the day, the Berner is the more relaxed pup. When his loud breaths begin to reverberate throughout the home, you will know that he is content to nap for a few hours. The Swissy requires a lot more company during the day to get rid of his excess energy. Consider harder play sessions, difficulties, and the requirement for long-lasting dog toys.
Well-being & Health
Neither the Swiss nor the Bernese Mountain Dogs are known to have any breed-specific illnesses, making them both generally healthy dogs. However, they are prone to health concerns like elbow, neck, shoulder, and hip joint troubles that often affect larger species. Nevertheless, their musculoskeletal health generally looks good overall. Additionally, bloat is a serious medical condition that can affect any large breed; owners just need to understand what to watch for.
The American Kennel Club advises evaluating puppies for eye health issues in addition to elbow, shoulder, and hip dysplasia. AKC additionally suggests a Von Willebrand's (clotting) Disease DNA test for Bernese, especially. The Swiss Mountain Dog lives eight to eleven years, while the Bernese Mountain Dog lives between seven and ten years.
Grooming and Weeping
Possimply the most noticeable distinction between the two breeds is this. Compared to Swiss dogs, Bernese wear longer, thicker coats, which means they need more maintenance. Naturally, Bernese shed continuously, but their lengthy outside coat and wooly underneath shed severely twice a year. To maintain a glossy and healthy coat, Bernese needs to be brushed once a week all year round and every day during shedding seasons. Owners may occasionally need to use an iron comb or toothbrush to untangle their fur because of its longer length.
Conversely, the Swiss have lower standards for grooming. They require less care and have a double coat as well. A blowout of the overcoat twice a year throughout periods of greater shedding would be beneficial to them. A periodic bath and brushes, however, maintain the Swiss looking well.
Nourishment
Every day, the Berner will drink from three to four cups of food, whereas the Swissy will drink four to five cups. Their age, size, and level of energy all affect how much they eat. They are both prone to rapid weight gain, particularly the Berner with his easygoing disposition, so watch out not to overfeed them. You must closely monitor their dietary consumption since obesity may compound existing health issues.
Both of them needed to be provided with a premium diet that offered them well-balanced nutrients. An excellent meal consists of genuine livestock meat, carbohydrates, fiber, healthy fats, calories, and elements. Two other crucial components to look out for are chitosan and ibuprofen since they will preserve their enormous joints.
Since they are both huge breeds, they should be provided kibble made especially for them, especially in their puppy years when their development is very quick. These will have the ideal balance of nutrients that they require. This is especially crucial while the project is still under development. According to research, they can aid in delaying or preventing bone problems that both breeds have a susceptibility to, such as elbow, shoulder, and hip dysplasia.
Conclusion
In conclusion, the background, appearance, personality type, and care needs of the Bernese Mountain Dog and the Greater Swiss Mountain Dog are comparable and differ from one another. As tricolored Swiss mountain dogs, both breeds have a long history of being used as adaptable farm dogs in Switzerland.
Originating in the Swiss Alps and the Roman military, the Bernese Mountain Dog saw a drop in appeal in the 19th century before being saved from extinction by committed individuals. Conversely, the Greater Swiss Mountain Dog, which originated from Mastiff-like canines utilized in Roman forces, was nearly exterminated in the late 1800s but was subsequently acknowledged and documented.
There are noticeable variations in height, coat length, and disposition between the two breeds, despite their remarkable tricolor coats and kind dispositions. The Bernese Mountain Dog is characterized as being more reserved and laid-back, and it tends to be somewhat smaller with a longer coat. In contrast, the Greater Swiss Mountain Dog is bigger, has a thinner fur, and possesses a more industrialized temperament characteristic.

The little bar hangout you had with Leon lifted your spirits beyond expectations. It had felt so good to see him again, not within your stressful line of work or distant and painful memories, but in normal surroundings, just like it used to be.
Despite the high emotional tension that lingered after you'd returned his police badge to him, the night lightened the heavy weight that rested on your soul, making it that much easier to get out of bed in the morning.
You'd now left your little apartment on more occasions, not only when you had to. When taking Lady out for her walks, you'd stop by a local Cafe and enjoy a warm drink or frequent the little antique shop that had always caught your eye. It felt like a fresh breath of air, a new start to a life you didn't think you'd be capable of having.
It's not like everything was magically fixed, not even Leon had such power, but things were better. And right now, better was more than enough for you. Certain things changed in your living space as well.
You'd open a curtain or two, and finally put up the new mirror you bought. Even things as little as letting the sun into your living room had improved your overall well being.
And there was someone that was ecstatic that you were doing better. Lady had really been your lifeline the past few years. She gave you a reason to keep going, to not give up and maybe even let the small flame of hope in your heart burn without extinguishing it immediately. She was your best friend, really, always keeping you company and distracting you if you ever got lost in your head.
She'd always be there if you woke up from a bad nightmare, by your side in the blink of an eye. Lady would whine and nudge at you with her nose or lick your cheeks that were tear stained from yet another excruciating replay of that night. She'd cuddle close to you and lay her head on your chest, something that helped you steady your frantic breaths.
In return, you did everything in your power to make her life as best as you could. She deserved that and so much more in your eyes. Dogs really were a blessing.
"I don't know when he's getting here, Deedee. I'm sorry." You cooed at your wiggly pup. She'd pace around the living room and sit in front of your door with her beloved stuffie tucked between her teeth. Lady looked back at you with big eyes and whined, though the wagging of her tail never stopped.
"C'mere. Come on." You softly called for her, patting the spot next to you on the couch. Lady trotted over, the quiet 'pat pat' of her paws on the floor accompanying her until she reached you and jumped onto the sofa. She laid her head in your lap and looked up at you expectantly.
"You're excited, huh? S'not often we get visitors. We'll just have to wait a little bit longer, okay-"
You were cut off by the sound of your doorbell. Lady perked up and let out a hearty bark before she was sprinting to the door.
"Alright, alright, calm down, sweet girl." You chuckled, leaving your cozy spot on the couch and taking a peak through the peephole. A smile etched onto your face when you spotted that familiar head of blonde hair and those lovely blue eyes. He was swaying slightly, hands in his pockets. He looked quite nervous. It cut into your heart just a little, knowing that the comfortable atmosphere that you two had around you was gone after everything that had happened.
To an extent, you were basically strangers, and you needed to start from scratch, building a new friendship. Both of you have changed, to no surprise, so what was, will never be again, though you were certain that you still fit together like you used to. Or at least that was what the ever growing sprout of hope inside you told you.
"Leon." You smiled gently when you opened the door, being met with a kind smile of his own.
"Hi." He replied softly, pulling you into a hug. You melted into eachother, craving that familiar and comfortable touch. "I missed you." He mumbled, followed by a relieved sigh.
"I missed you too, blondie," you giggled softly,
"has work been hard on you lately?"
Leon chuckled as he pulled away, shoving his hands in his pockets.
"How do you always know?" You gave him a nonchalant shrug with a small grin before stepping aside, beckoning him into your home. Lady was sitting by your feet with her tongue out and a wagging tail, waiting to finally meet this guest you'd been talking about for weeks. There was a smile on his face as he stepped onto your doormat and knelt down, holding his hand out for your pup to sniff.
"Hi there, Lady. I'm Leon." He spoke softly as you watched in awe, your heart beating faster at his gentleness. Leon's gentleness was nothing new to you, but you've missed it after Raccoon City. You craved it, that soft and warm tone that never failed to make any worries fade away.
Seeing him being so soft with your dog was a bittersweet sting in your chest when you realized you wanted him to be that gentle with you again. Lady nudge her wet nose against his palm a few times before the wagging of her tail picked up, gentle drumming against your leg, before she surged forward and whined, excitedly sticking her face wherever she could.
Leon shifted his weight backwards a little so Lady wouldn't tackle him and he laughed and cooed at her, petting her face and scratching behind her ears.
"Such a sweet girl, huh? Who's a good girl? You've been keeping her safe and happy for me?" He leaned in closer for the last phrase, as if telling her a secret and he chuckled when he was met with a series of barks and huffs.
"She's absolutely infatuated with you." You smirked, your arms crossing in front of your chest. 'And so am I' you tried not to entertain the thought for too long, but every refusal you made about loving Leon, really loving Leon, slowly drifted away, letting your shoulders slightly slack and just feel the warmth of your love for him in your heart.
So what if you were in love with him? It wasn't hard to fall for him, but instead of tripping and stumbling forward a little, you fell off the highest mountain peak and landed straight on your face. But who could blame you, with that cute smile, those ocean blue eyes and a heart so pure it hurt. You'd think about it more later, maybe talk to Ashley about it, too. Right now, you wanted to keep the promise you made in the bar and enjoy an evening with your best friend. A measly attempt to feel normal again. To forget all the things you've seen, to feel whole again.
There always was a lingering darkness that shuddered through you, and it only seemed to be bearable when you were with Leon. You imagined what it would be like to live with him and Lady, to share a bed and wake up every morning with him, with that lingering cloud of gloom getting smaller day by day.
The sound of Leon's voice slammed that drawer of dreams and fantasies shut and snapped you back into the moment. He softly called your name, a worried crease between his brows. "Hey, are you alright?"
"Yeah, sorry, I just kinda... space out sometimes." You chuckled awkwardly. He cracked a small smile. "I get that. You're not alone." He said quietly, placing a firm hand on your shoulder while his other was scratching your pup's head.
Lady was whining quietly, her stuffed toy hanging from her mouth, upset at the lack of attention she was getting from Leon.
"Neither are you." You spoke gently, but with a sincere firmness. Leon's hand slid down your arm until it reached the faint scar on your forearm. He took your arm into his hands and drew circles into the skin surrounding your scar.
The gesture made the butterflies in your stomach flutter uncontrollably and you cursed them in your mind for making your cheeks heat up.
"How's your arm, hm?"
"It's good, all healed. It doesn't hurt, it's just... hard to look at some days." You gave him a tight lipped smile.
"Scars make you a survivor. You made it out of that shithole with your life, and that's one hell of a thing to do."
"I hope you talk that kindly to yourself, too."
Leon's head tipped forward slightly, exhaling sharply before swinging one of his arms over your shoulders.
"I don't know about you but I'm starving. And if I remember correctly, I was promised cuddles." He grinned, making you roll your eyes with a smile.
"I don't have much in the fridge but we can go to the convenience store right around the corner, they have decent hot dogs."
Lady perked up and barked at the mention of hot dogs.
"Hot dogs it is, then." Leon grinned, petting Lady again.

The walk to the little convenience store was quiet and pleasant, making casual small talk about your daily life and any hobbies that you'd both spend time on outside of work. Lady was happily walking on her leash between you and Leon, him being on the side closer to the road, of course.
He insisted, and there was no arguing with him. Not that you wanted to, but he couldn't know that, so you feigned push back until you 'relented' with a sigh, and you walked on with Leon having a triumphant smirk on his face.
Lady was excitedly looking around at all the colorful light up signs and street lamps. You never took her out this late, you never felt safe enough to do so, but with Leon by your side you've never felt safer.
There was a quiet splat sound as you stepped through a puddle, courtesy of a downpour earlier in the day.
You could spot the familiar sign of the store further down the street when Leon spoke up.
"What movie did you pick?" A small grin crept onto your face at his question.
"You know how you're such a big fan of the Lord of the Rings hexalogy?"
"Yeah..." his furrowed brows and the hesitancy in his voice almost made you chuckle.
"And you know how they made the books into movies a couple of years ago?"
"Wait, don't tell me-"
"Well," you interrupted him as his eyes widened, "I happen to have the entire trilogy at home. Extended editions. I figured we could watch the first one." You smiled, watching the light in his eyes grow.
"Are you serious?" He chuckled breathlessly.
"Very."
"God, you're the best best friend."
"Right back at you, Lee."
.·:*¨༺ ༻¨*:·.
The little bell attached to the top of the door frame jingled as you stepped inside, Leon and Lady in tow. Leon's eyes fell on the short, elderly woman that was seated behind the counter, glasses on the tip of her nose with a pencil in hand, seemingly solving a crossword puzzle or perhaps Sodoku.
She wore a pink cardigan, and there were a few rollers hidden in her short silver curls. She glared over the top of her glasses at the ring of the bell, but her forming scowl was replaced by a bright smile when she spotted your kind face. Leon smiled just a little at the observation.
Apparently, you had the habit of carving yourself a spot in others' hearts no matter how cold or grumpy they were.
"Why, hello, dear! It's so nice to see you. You've brought Lady, too, I presume?" She chuckled, being met with a proud bark from your dog.
The woman slightly stretched upwards to take a look at your pup that was hidden behind the counter and she wiggled her manicured hand in Lady's direction, a form of greeting, before she rummaged through a drawer, pulling out a treat. Lady tapped her paws on the linoleum floor excitedly, waiting for her to throw the treat. She did with a soft giggle, clapping when Lady caught it.
"Good to see you, too, Dot." You smiled, scratching Lady's cheek.
"And who's this, hm?" She gave you a smirk before letting her gaze run over Leon,
"have you finally got yourself a boyfriend? Oh, I thought the day would never come!" She sighed excitedly.
"Rude." You grumbled underneath your breath. Before you could answer her, Leon took the reigns of the conversation.
"I'm Leon, her best friend. Nice to meet you." He said with a kind smile, holding out his hand for Dot to shake. She glared suspiciously at his hand but decided to take it in the end.
"Best friend, huh? How come I've never seen you before? God help me if I find out you're only pretending to be her friend so you can take her to bed and break her heart like the rest of your generation-" she pointed a finger at Leon accusingly, stretching forward as much as she could, though never reaching for enough to jab at his chest.
"Dot, Dot!" You scolded with a small chuckled, taking her wrist and tugging it back at her side.
"He's not like that, I promise." You said gently, watching as Dot still glared at Leon.
"Ma'am, I can assure you, I have no intention of ever breaking her heart." He chuckled, placing a hand over his heart.
Dot sank back into her chair.
"Good." She said firmly.
"We lost touch a couple of years ago due to some... unfortunate circumstances in the town we lived in," Leon glanced at you briefly, "but we recently found eachother again on a work trip."
He explained, watching as Dot's judgemental facade slowly crumbled.
"Oh, alright. I suppose you do look like a nice boy." She relented with a sigh, making Leon grin.
"Quite handsome, too." She pondered before turning in your direction, "it's a shame he isn't your boyfriend, you know."
"Dot-"
"What? You can't be alone forever. You've known him a longtime. Most boys are either pretty or decent, not both. He's the exception, it seems. Are you just going to waste that?"
You sighed heavily and pinched the bridge of your nose. You knew very well that Leon was smiling bashfully with a blush on his cheeks. He never knew how to deal with compliments.
"Dot. We've been over this so many times. And can you please not talk about him like he isn't here??" You whisper-yelled the last part, feeling a heat crawl up your spine when Leon chuckled.
"Fine, don't take my advice then." She brushed you off, turning to Leon.
"Maybe you should take her to bed-"
"DOROTHY."
.·:*¨༺ ༻¨*:·.
You waved Dot goodbye, stepping into the cool chill of the night with some snacks you'd bought in your bag and the only thing warming your hands being that delectable looking hot dog.
You sat down on a nearby bench, Lady sitting patiently at your feet while you fed her a couple bits of the sausage.
"These are pretty good for convenience store hot dogs." Leon's voice came muffled from beside you, when you turned your head you broke into laughter seeing him basically inhale that hot dog.
"What? I'm hungry." He defended himself, still muffled and obstructed as he chewed on the bun. You took another bite of your hot dog and chuckled as Leon licked his fingers.
Your laughter was contagious to Leon, he couldn't help when the familiar rumble of laughter surged through his chest.
You sat giggling and laughing on that bench for a while, no real reason or purpose for your laughter other than the person beside you, a feeling the both of you had longed for for as long as you can remember.
The laughing didn't stop on your way home, watching fondly as Leon continously threw a stick for Lady who darted off before returning with said stick. The empty streets echoed of excited barks and heartfelt laughter.
And that carefree feeling that made you breath without a heavy weight on your chest was something you wanted to cling on for as long as you could.
.·:*¨༺ ༻¨*:·.
Leon's eyes were glued to your TV as he attentively watched as the scenes of The Fellowship of the Ring ran across the screen.
The bright and lovely beginning of the movie with all the green hills and the Hobbithole made tears of joy sit on his lashline as he talked about how surreal it was to see the world he'd read of and imagined so many times before. Lady was asleep with her head in Leon's lap while he gently petted her, like it was second nature to him, his other arm resting on the back of the couch.
You watched as the colorful light of the movie ran over the handsome features of his profile.
Your mind drifted to a multitude of different scenarios. What if he was your boyfriend? Is that something he'd want? Is that something you'd want? That answer came to you quicker than you'd like to admit. You wouldn't mind if you were dating. No, you wanted to date him. You wondered, what if he had similar thoughts about you? Or were you just as foolish as the last times and end up having to pick the shards of your heart off the ground?
But how nice it would be.
Your own little life with Lady and Leon, your own little family. Your heart yearned for it, you could feel that aching pull in your chest. Before you knew it, the credits were rolling and you snapped out of your somewhat embarrassing daydreams.
You rested your chin on his shoulder.
"So, what did you think?" You asked softly. Leon smiled before trying to start a sentence a couple of times but failing.
"I... it was incredible. S'like my childhood came to life. I mean, it did every time I read the books, but... this is different. Thank you." He said quietly, taking your hand and giving it a squeeze.
"Anything for you."
It slipped out before you could stop it. But instead of taking it back in a scramble of haphazardly formulated excuses, you let it linger.
You let it linger between the two of you, reveling in the warmth of it. Leon's arm slowly slipped from the back of the couch, settling heavy on your shoulders.
You let out a quiet sighed and subconsciously shuffled yourself closer to him to the point where your noses were almost brushing against one another.
"I'm so glad that I have you. Life's only been getting better since you came back into my life, it's like... all the color returned." He whispered, drawing circles into the back of your neck, sending both a searing hot feeling and a chill up your spine.
You could feel his warm breath on your face, and his blue eyes had never shone this bright.
You inched closer with half lidded eyes, enveloped and dazed by his embrace, his touch, his warmth.
Your lips brushed for a mere second before a loud bark from Lady snapped the both of you out of it, and you scrambled away from each other. You were pressed to the other end of the couch with burning cheeks as you kept your gaze away from Leon.
Lady whine and tilted her head, nudging her toy closer to Leon.
"You... you want to play?" He asked gently, a hint of disappointment tarnishing his tone. He got his confirmation with yet another bark and a wagging tail.
"M'sorry, but it's late. I should.." he cleared his throat and briefly glanced at you, making you whip your head away, "I should go home."
Lady whimpered sadly but Leon just gave her a few consolation pets before he got up from the couch.
You followed behind him, being the good host you were, seeing him out the door. The tension that hung in the air was thick and uncomfortable. Instead of the usual warm hug, you opted for an awkward wave. And with a stumbled promise of calling you in the coming days, Leon was out the door.
When you heard the click of the lock, you slid down onto the floor, back pressed against the door as you groaned, laying your face in your hands.
Your cheeks were a raging inferno by this point, and your pounding heart didn't exactly help either. There were so many things going on in your head at once. It felt like your brain was about to explode.
You wanted to cry and yell in frustration for having such a perfect moment ruined, but there was slight relief because were you ready for a change that big? Were you ready to never have your newly built friendship with Leon be the same again? All these unanswered questions were making your head spin.
You felt Lady's wet nose nudge at your hands and you pulled your head back, letting it fall back against the door with a soft thump. You sighed and closed your eyes.
"I love you, DeeDee, but what the hell was that?" You glanced at her, your voice being laced with nothing but defeat.
Your pup laid down beside you and looked at you apologetically and let out a soft whine. You cracked a small, soft smile and stroked her head.
"It's okay. I guess. I don't know. I need to sleep on it." You said quietly, followed by a sigh.
You retreated to your bedroom, tossing and turning. You spent most of the night staring at your ceiling or watching Lady take gentle breaths beside you.
Sleep didn't come easily to you that night. Though, you were lucky sleep came to you at all.

Leon let his head hit the steering wheel of his car with a sigh. He was finally so close to expressing his feelings for you without having to actually say it when it was all ripped away from him.
"Lady is lucky she's cute." He mumbled, starting the car and driving off to his home.
The growing frustration in his chest didn't go away as he drove on, to his dismay. He laid awake all night, staring at the empty side of his bed, imagining what it would be like if you were there.
If his bed wouldn't feel so cold anymore, despite his thick blanket.
He wanted nothing more than to hold you, to kiss you, to love you. Leon was certain you'd died that day. He remembered his cracked voice after screaming for you until he was dragged away.
The emtpiness in his heart when it sunk in that he had failed to save you and would now have to live with the overwhelming guilt of your loss.
The day you two crossed paths in that Spanish village, Leon swore to himself that he would do anything in his power to never feel like that again. He wouldn't lose you this time. Not again.
.·:*¨༺ ༻¨*:·.
"I don't know what to do! It was so awkward." You sighed frustratedly, pulling at your hair.
"You guys almost kissed! A kiss is a two-sided thing. Usually. He's totally into you, too." Ashley beamed through the phone.
Your contact with Leon had been kept to a minimum these past few weeks. You didn't know how to even start a conversion now.
It was just that embarrassing and awkward almost-kiss moment running on loop in your mind whenever you thought of him.
"I just... I don't know. He might be? I mean, I want him to be... but I've been wrong before and I don't think I could handle getting my heart broken by him." You spoke, albeit somewhat dazed as you seemed to be lost in your thoughts.
"I think you should talk to him. I know it's awkward and uncomfortable, but it's only gonna get worse if you two keep avoiding each other like this." Ashley said softly, making you sigh and drag a hand down your face.
Not talking to Leon was eating you from the inside. You'd missed him terribly, but the thought of having to look him in the eyes after that incident made your skin crawl.
You looked outside of your window, the moonlit streets littered with bright neon signs reminded you of that you spent with him and Lady.
If talking to him meant you would experience something like that again and feel that intoxicating euphoria that was freedom and peace all over, you'd swallow your nerves and the twisting churn in your stomach and do it.
"I suppose.. you're right. It feels different now, you know? I guess now that I look back I've been in love with him for a while. Saying it out loud just... makes it real." You laughed half-heartedly, chewing on the inside of your cheek.
Lady was laying by your feet as you petted her absent-mindedly.
"It'll all work out, I promise! You gotta have more faith in yourself. You're a real catch." She giggled, making you crack a lopsided smile.
"Thanks, Ash. I'll... I'll talk to him. Soon. I'm... really tired right now, I'll call you tomorrow, okay?"
"Yeah, yeah, no problem. Keep me updated!"
"I will, Bye-Bye." You chuckled.
"Talk soon!"
You let out a heavy sigh when the noise of the ended phone call hit your ears.
"What a mess, huh?" You asked Lady, smiling slightly when she gave you an affirmative huff.
Your thoughts were running wild, but you were exhausted. So, despite your brain screaming at you, you eventually fell asleep, a weird dread settling in your stomach as your eyes shut.
.·:*¨༺ ༻¨*:·.
Your limbs felt leaden, your mind slowly waking up but your body refusing to as tears nipped at your lashline. Your muscles ached and quiet sobs slipped past your lips as the horrific pictures of that night ran behind your eyelids like a movie on a screen.
The blanket that would usually soothe your anxiety with its weight suddenly felt too heavy, all too much like the rubble you were buried under after the building collapsed on top of you. You could feel the sharp edges of concrete and rebar digging and cutting into your skin all over again. Your throat felt dry, just like when you breathed in all the dust and debris back then.
Your sobs grew louder, and they turned into pathetic wails as the memories continued to flood your mind. Still, your legs and arms refused to move, your breaths turning shallow as panic set in. All you could do was lay there like a wounded animal, trapped in the literal nightmare that were your memories.
Your door opened slightly, and Lady came rushing in, alarmed by your cries. She jumped up onto the bed and licked at your cheeks before nudging your arm with her nose. Your fingers twitched, and you gathered all your strength before you reached over to your nightstand and felt for your phone, all while Lady whimpered beside you.
You sagged back onto the bed once you've had a steady grasp on your cell. With trembling fingers, you clumsily tapped at the screen, hoping you'd somehow call Leon. Lady laid her head on your chest, hoping to help steady your breathing.
Sobs tore through you when that familiar pain in your chest set in, the one you felt when you thought Leon had you left you behind. You were angry and hurt, ready to chew him out the second you'd find him in all this mess.
But once you got out and ran from all the resident evil, and all you found was his bloodied badge, your anger evaporated and all that was left was the heart wrenching pain of having lost your best friend.
You grew frustrated with yourself when your numb fingers refused to his the right button, but eventually you managed to click on Leon's contact and your panic was soothed just a tiny bit when you hit the call button.
You cried through the rings of the phone, mentally begging for him to pick up. It was the middle of the night. You were all alone, but you hoped he'd pick up.
You felt like you were dying, the pain in your chest, the heaviness in your limbs, the lack of oxygen caused by your hurried breaths making you light headed.
"Please, please, please..." You sobbed, your hands shaking. A particular unpleasant wail left your throat when it went straight to his voice-mail. Lady softly barked at you, beckoning you to try again.
You could see the worry when you glanced down into ber big brown eyes. You tried again, feeling exhausted as all the crying and fast breathing sucked the strength from you. This time, he picked up at the first ring, making you sob in relief.
"It's the middle of the night, what- hey, hey, what's going on, are you okay?" His voice made the ache in your chest lessen, and you could even muster up the tiniest smile.
"L-Leon...'" You forced out between sobs and hiccups.
"What happened? Where are you?" He asked firmly, a rustling sound in the background.
"N-need you... please.."
"I'm coming, okay? Just breathe for me." There was worry and panic in his voice, but he kept it soft and soothing for you to help you calm down. You slightly nodded your head.
"Yeah, y-yeah, okay-" your trembling hand accidentally hit the red button, ending the called. Your arm gave out and your phone fell onto your bed, just out of reach.
The crying had drained more of your energy than you thought and you weeped as your phone lit up again and again, Leon calling you. You watched for what felt like forever as he called you continously and all you could do was watch with no strength left to move.
Lady whimpered and pushed your phone closer to you, but you couldn't even lift your finger to pick up.
You've never felt so helpless and pathetic in your life.
So, you continued sobbing as the memories still wouldn't stop as you waited for Leon, feeling a pouding headache setting in already.
Finally, after what felt like some excruciating hours to you, you heard your front door click. You thanked all of the gods above that you'd exchanged spare keys with Leon. Lady jumped off the bed and barked, running towards the front door.
"Where is she?" Leon heaved urgently, following your dog who pulled at his sleeve, leading him to you. His heart shattered at the sight of you. Red and puffy eyes with heavy bags under them, cracked lips, and a heaving chest.
Your complexion looked all wrong, as if you were sick, and to be honest, you did look like you were about to pass out any second.
He rushed to your side, pulling you close to him and slowly rubbing circles on your chest to help you get more air into your lungs.
Leon's jacket was shrugged off, same with his boots and he climbed in next to you and sat you upright. You felt so weak, like your bones were made of jelly, so you awkwardly slumped against him.
"What's going on with you?" He asked softy, gently wiping away your tears.
"Nightmare.. Raccoon City..." Your sobbing picked back up when you uttered the name of your once beloved city, and Leon swallowed thickly.
"I-I thought that you-you left me again.." You wailed, grabbing onto his shirt. Leon pulled you closer with tears glistening in his eyes and a deep ache in his heart.
"I never left you... I would've never ever left you. They made me, dragged me away, and I couldn't... I couldn't go back for you." His voice cracked halfway through, and you gently shifted your head back to look at him.
The heart broken look in his blue eyes almost made your own shatter. You pulled yourself up and into his lap and wrapped your arms around his neck in a tight hug. His arms tightened around you as he buried his face in your neck, rubbing between your shoulder blades to help you breathe deeper.
You cried in each other's arms, mourning the loss of the normal life you had before the incident and the pain of having been apart for 6 years. Lady watched from the foot of the bed, visibly relaxing as your sobs lessened. You pulled back and took his face in your hands, wiping his tears away. Leon melted into your touch, and the crease between his brows softened ever so slightly. You sniffled and took a deep breath.
"I love you. And not like a best friend. I'm in love with you, Leon Kennedy." His eyes shot open at your words and his jaw slacked slightly.
"I've loved you for so long it hurts. I was terrified, so I never said anything but when I thought I lost you I regretted never telling you. I love you so much." You sighed, stroking his cheek.
If you had any tears left to cry, you would be a mess right now. Or at least, more of a mess than you already were
"I just... you're the only one who... who can make it better, you know? Make it hurt less."
Leon's shocked eyes softened, and a small smile tugged at the corner of his lips. You searched for anyhing; hatred, disgust, joy, reciprocation, anything.
"A-And it's fine if you don't feel the same but-"
You were cut off by Leon connecting your lips in a kiss so soft it made a tear roll down your cheek as you leaned into him. Cupping the back of your neck, he gently pulled you in closer in and sighed against your lips.
"I love you too. I never stopped, even when I thought you were gone. You... you make it hurt less, too." He spoke softly, a lopsided grin on his face. You chuckled softly and hugged him again, burning the feeling of his touch into your mind. Leon rested his forehead against yours and stole a few soft pecks from you.
"Will you stay?" You asked in a whisper, suddenly being hit with a wave of sleepiness.
"I'll always stay. Always, I promise." He said softly, kissing the tip of your nose. You smiled hazily and slowly slid down the headboard, dragging Leon with you under the covers. You realxed into his embrace, your face nuzzled against his chest as he pressed a kiss to the top of your head.
Lady, who had watched the whole thing with a slowly wagging tail, crawled up the bed between the two of you and nudged her nose against Leon's cheek repeatedly. He giggled, albeit with an exhausted undertone.
"I guess you finally have a Dad, DeeDee." You said quietly, earning a small huff from your pup and one last kiss from Leon along with an amused chuckle before you drifted off to pleasant dreams for the first time in years. He soothed your mind and kept all the bad memories away.
Your love acting like a shield, protecting you from nightmares. You'd been wandering in the dark for years, searching for all the pieces of yourself that you lost that night.
You were lost once, but with Leon, you were found again.

That was supposed to be a calm Friday afternoon, but of course, life does not always follow as one wants. The old gentleman who was a neighbor to the ranch appeared with his son at the door, asking Jack for help; his cows had broken the fence and were near to the ranch. Promptly, Jack confirmed that would help them and, after Horace, Jack’s beloved black Clydesdale, was saddled and the two dogs Gus, a ten-month-old Bernese Mountain, and Lola, a two-year-old Australian cattle were already excitedly following Jack, they proceeded to catch the cows.
You sat on the porch while watching Jack and both neighbors herding the cattle back to their property. Safe to say that you always had enjoyed watching those kinds of activities, but when your handsome husband was the one doing the job, it was a hundred times more enjoyable to see, especially when he was wearing that all-denim outfit he frequently wore to work around the ranch.
Faster than you expected, almost all the cows were back home, but two of them refused to follow the leading of the dogs or the horses. Noticing that would be a waste of time to try to herd them, Jack went back home to grab his lasso.
Once in front of the house, Jack easily got off Horace and walked inside the ranch. No more than two minutes later he was back with his lasso in one hand while straightening his hat. When he was about to get back on his horse, you approached him with a playful expression.
“Jack” you called and he promptly turned to look at you with a soft smile.
“Yes, honey?” he questioned laying one hand on your waist.
“I was just wondering how much I would have to beg for you to tie me with this lasso.” Immediately Jack’s grip on your waist tightened and you could see the devilish smirk forming on his lips. He leaned slightly towards your face, looking at your mouth for a moment, then back at your eyes.
“Just wait ‘till we’re done with the cattle, and I’ll show why you shouldn’t tease a cowboy while he’s working, sugar.” He winked at you and got mounted on Horace again, leading to what he had to do, and praying for the god he didn’t believe to the effect of your words on him wasn’t visible on the fly of his jeans.
Your attention remained fixed on Jack, admiring how easily he manipulated his lasso even while riding a horse. With the agility of one who had done that throughout his whole life, Jack lassoed the two remaining cows, helping the neighbors to take them back. After a lot of acknowledgments and a very brief conversation, the other men led back home, while Jack unsaddled Horace and released him to the field, then walked towards the house, more precisely towards you, with his rolled-up lasso hanging on his arm.
“That was very unpolite of you, little lady.” He said at the moment he stood in front of you, caressing your cheek and grabbing your hand, walking inside home with you.
“I was just curious.” You answered with a smile, frowning when, while passing through the living room, Jack grabbed your one-liter bottle of water “What is that for?”
“Oh, trust me, once I got done with you, you’ll need that, honeybee.” You could only bite your lip while following him without questioning. Once in the bedroom, Jack sat on the edge of the bed with you mounted on his lap, calmly getting you rid of your clothes, and placing his hands on your waist once he was done. “First things first, are we keeping our usual safe codes for this one?” after you nodded your agreement, Jack smirked, promptly entering the mood for the adventure about to come.
With no rush at all, Jack placed you on your back on the bed, lassoing your wrists together and tying your hands above your head on the headboard, making sure that the knot was tight but not enough to hurt you. The only thing you could do was observe his every move with full attention, already feeling pathetically turned on, still not fully believing that you were finally being tied up by your handsome cowboy.
From all the things you imagined Jack would do after got you restrained, the last one you expected was what he really did. You watched with a slight frown as he picked up his lighter and a cigarette, resting one hand on his hips once the cigarette was lighted, observing you with a calm expression.
“Now, what I’m going to do with you, sugar?” His voice came out neutral as he walked around the bed, taking a slow drag of his cigarette.
“I have a ton of suggestions.” You answered with your gaze fixed on him.
“I know you do.” He chuckled and shook his head, stopping on the bed foot “But I’m afraid we have different plans here.” Jack walked around the bed and sat next to you, planting his free hand on your thigh “Look, darlin’, you haven’t been precisely well-behaved earlier, and I shouldn’t be too generous with you.” As he spoke, his hand moved up your body, rubbing your lower stomach softly and moving further, until his fingertips were caressing your breast “Problem is that having you so worked up just for being tied, I can’t help myself.” Jack chuckled as he heard the first quiet moan coming from you as he slowly rubbed and pinched your nipple.
“Jack…” you mumbled looking at him with a pleading expression, involuntarily pulling your hands, sighing when the rope just pressed your wrists.
“Easy, sweetheart.” He smirked while moving his hand to your other breast “We’re in no rush here.”
“I can disagree on infinite levels about the rush.” You said while squirming on the bed as his fingers worked on your hard nipple.
“Y’really don’t know how to wait do ya?” Jack shook his head with a smirk, taking another drag of his cigarette before letting it sit on the ashtray on the nightstand.
Calmly, Jack grabbed your hips and turned you to lay on your stomach, spreading your legs and kneeling between them. Both of his hands rested on the mattress close to the sides of your body, and he leaned his body forward, kissing the back of your neck slowly, exhaling slowly just for you to feel his breath against your skin.
You closed your eyes, squirming once more, feeling shivers all over your body caused by both his warm kisses and the feeling of the cold metal of the buttons of his denim jacket tickling your back. Involuntarily you moved your hips, moaning quietly when you accidentally touched his fly with your needy core, and without a second thought, you did it again, moaning louder this time with the feeling of the harsh fabric of his jeans rubbing against your cunt.
“Not that easy, love.” Jack laughed and grabbed your hips, preventing you from moving again.
“Daniels!” you complained and sighed, looking at him over your shoulder.
“You’re complaining without even knowing what’re my next plans.” He said while turning you on the bed again.
For your total desperation for more, Jack placed his lips on your neck, kissing your skin with no hurry while his hands caressed your sides. You could only contort and pull your hands as he moved further, taking his time while licking and lightly nibbling your nipples, only making you more miserably needy and almost regretting having put so much power and control on his teasing hands.
Once he got down only to kiss your stomach cruelly slowly, you were moving and whimpering in a mix of satisfaction and impatience, keeping constantly pulling your tied wrists, until, somehow, one of your hands got free from the lasso. Jack looked up with a raised eyebrow and shook his head with a smug smirk.
“I knew you were thirsty, but not at that point, sweetheart.” He said while getting out of the bed and approaching the headboard, calmly grabbing your hand and putting it back together with your other hand, tying it once more. “You better not get loose again.” You didn’t know what were his plans behind that phrase, but now you wanted to untie yourself again just to see where it would lead.
Back on the bed, Jack resumed his task of ruining your patience and rational thoughts, kissing your skin more slowly than ever, planting a few soft hickeys and nibbles on the sides of your hips before settling between your legs, kissing from your inner knees to that sensitive spot on your inner thighs, a few inches away from your pussy, enjoying the desperate moves of your hips, trying to get some relief.
Keeping his tranquility, Jack moved one hand between your legs, softly moving his fingertips over your outer lips, taking a satisfied sight out of you and another failed try of freeing your hands. While holding one of your legs to keep them spread open, he moved his fingers through your inner lips, provoking a louder sonorous response from you as he approached your most sensitive parts.
With a small crumb of generosity, Jack finally got further, circling your soaked entrance, you whimpered with the warm feeling of his rough digits caressing you, arching your back slightly and trying to move your hips further. Without you having the time to foresee it, Jack slid two fingers inside you, smirking as he felt you pulsing around him, and calmly started to move his hand, slightly curling his fingers just to mess with you a bit. And it worked damn well. Thanks to your desperately needy state, his slow fingering was more than enough for you to moan, and felt your pussy clenching involuntarily, not to mention that the man knew very well what he was doing.
As he started to notice you getting more relaxed on the bed, Jack took the next step, licking your clit with no pre-warning, making your back arch as you once more pulled your hands, at that point without care with the high possibility of your wrists end up with the mark of his lasso. You raised your head from the pillow just to take a look at that view, as if just using that all-denim outfit wasn’t enough to make him look immeasurably hot, Jack saw no problem in sinking his face between your legs while wearing that, doing unspeakable things for your libido.
You didn’t bother to try to keep calm or hold back, just moaning loudly and squeezing his head between your thighs, as you tightened his fingers inside you and felt your clit throbbing a lot against his tongue. With the passing time being married to him, you had learned how to deal with Jack’s advanced skills on cunnilingus, managing to not be about to come in least than five minutes, but when he decided to join his abilities with unfair teasing, your resistance was turned into a joke, precisely as it was happening on that moment. You just savored every sensation you were able to notice, feeling your heart beating fast, a few drops of sweat on your back and temples, and your womb reacting more to all of that at each passing minute. You whined and choked on your breath while your whole body tensed up and then melted on the bed as you got taken by an intense orgasm, having some little spasms during the process. With a satisfied smile, Jack got to sit on the bed, admiring you all boneless as he pulled his fingers off you, savoring your taste on his fingers.
Once your senses were in their place again, you opened your eyes to take a look at what was going on when you noticed Jack moving out of the bed and, for your positive surprise, you found him kicking his boots to the side while taking off his jacket. Realizing he had your attention, Jack didn’t rush on what he was doing, keeping his glance on you as he started to open the buttons of his shirt with all the tranquility one could have, and it certainly awakened something in you; the joint of his hands working and the result of this work being his skin getting uncovered was making you thirst for him once again, even that your legs still were heavy from your recent orgasm. When Jack got done with his shirt and started to work on his belt buckle, you had abandoned your dignity and were contorting on the bed and unceasingly trying to move your tied hands while staring at his every move, as if you had never seen him naked before.
After what seemed an eternity for your thirsty self, your handsome man was finally totally undressed and took the first step to approach the bed, making you move suddenly and bit your bottom lip as you realized you had, somehow, untied your hands again.
“Now this is gettin’ way outta hand, sugar.” Jack shook his head, chuckling softly, at all he wasn’t expecting you to achieve such a feat twice on the same day.
Jack stood next to the bed, resting on of his knees on the mattress as he finished undoing the knot on his lasso, and the most you were attracted to him doing anything with a lasso, you couldn’t focus on anything more while having that astonishing erection just a few inches away from your face, so without a second thought, you leaned forward and sucked the tip of his cock, catching him hundred percent unprepared for that, resulting in a surprised groan coming from him and one of his hands grabbing the headboard tight as he looked down at you.
“Tsk, tsk, someone is gettin’ way too naughty for ma taste.” Regardless of his remark, he didn’t stop you, brushing a few strands of your hair back to take a better look at your face, letting out a heavy breath as you moved slightly further. “I wasn’t plannin’ that, but now you made me tempted.” Slowly he moved his hips back, until his cock was out of your mouth, proceeding to cup your face and rub your bottom lip with his thumb “It’s okay for you if got into your pretty mouth?” he had barely finished the question and you were already nodding “Words, my love.”
“Yes.” You answered solicitously “Please.”
“Very well.”
With a noticeable smirk on his lips, Jack moved to the bed, straddling your upper body, being careful not to let his body weight on you, while untangling your hands from the lasso so you could sign if you wanted him to stop at any moment. Softly, he grabbed your chin between his thumb and index finger, running his tongue over his lips as you opened your mouth and let your tongue stick out. Jack placed his cock on top of your tongue and slowly moved into your mouth, moaning quietly once your lips were wrapped around him, sinking one of his hands into your hair and caressing your scalp as he started to move his hips, thrusting in your mouth on a steady calm pace. You couldn’t help your moan, feeling your cunt throbbing at his every move, such as your mouth getting watered, making his cock more drooled every time Jack slid himself back inside.
Fair to say that both of you were aroused on almost unbearable levels, because, if Jack was loving the vision of your taking his cock in such goodwill and seeming so pleased for doing it, your libido was once again unfairly attacked with the incredible sight of him looking so dominant straddling you and looking into your eyes while fucking your mouth, and the safety of knowing that even on a position that gave him unrestrainedly power over you, Jack would never try or trespass your boundaries just provided you with tranquility and relaxation to enjoy the moment without having to worry about anything else, but the feeling of his twitching cock making your mouth filled.
The most he was loving every second of that, Jack wasn’t planning to come at that moment, and it would unquestionably happen if he remained any longer enjoying the fabulous feeling of your warm mouth accommodating his cock so well, so he needed to move his hips back, pulling out of your mouth the slowest possible, grinning when you leaned your head to give a last suck on the tip of his length before let him go. Jack dismounted of you and turned his attention on tying your hands again, this time being less gentle and restraining your hands firmly than before with a slip knot, making sure to tie the ends of the rope together so the only way you would get rid was if he released you or if the headboard was brooked.
“Honestly, sugar, an untamed horse is easier to tie than you.” Jack mocked while moving back to the bed, making you laugh while he was settling next to you.
“Maybe it’s just your knots that are not that good.” You couldn’t help but tease him.
“If you manage to untie yourself this time, I may agree with this affirmation.” He said calmly and leaned to kiss you as one of his hands moved down your body. He smirked against your lips once his fingers were between your legs and only then he realized your soaked state. “Seems that someone enjoyed having her mouth full.” Before you could retort, Jack already had turned you on the bed, letting you lay on your stomach and putting a pillow under your hips, pushing your legs apart and placing himself between them. “Let’s see watcha feeling when your pretty pussy is the one fulfilled.”
Once more you didn’t have the chance of came up with one of your usual sharped teasing answers, because the only thing your mind could process was the feeling of Jack doing exactly as he said, burring every inch of his cock inside you, making you squirm and pull your hands, feeling the tight rope rub on the skin of your wrists. Without ceremony, Jack braced himself in one elbow, leaning forward so his chest was pressed against your back, while he caressed your hips with his free hand, then, planting a soft kiss on your shoulder, he started to slam his hips against you, making you whine and sank your face on the pillow, moving your hands and hips involuntarily as if it would help you deal with the almost overwhelming feeling of him so comfortingly lying on top of your as he railed you relentlessly.
You tried to focus on the warmth of his mouth as he kissed, nibbled, and sucked from your jaw to your shoulder and back, but nothing was helping you to keep your cool. His restless thrusts, your desperate wish to squeeze or scratch something that you were unable to fulfill, and the rubbing of your clit against the pillow under your hips caused by your involuntary moves and Jack’s intense pace were surely working well together to end up with any self-control you could have.
So, if you can’t defeat your enemy, then you join with them.
You stopped trying to rationalize anything at that moment and let yourself go, enjoying how your body got more taken by the pure intense pleasure you were feeling and paying attention to all the things you could: the good feeling of your husband’s body all over you, the way his mustache and breath tickled the skin of your neck, your sensitive hard nipples rubbing against the bedsheet, your throbbing clit rubbing a lot against the pillow, your cunt clenching hardly around his cock. Everything felt so intense and so good, in a way you didn’t remember to have ever felt, so, when that tension on your lower stomach became more pronounceable, you just focused on feeling it blossoming into another breathtaking orgasm, making your legs tremble as you were almost screaming.
While you still were highly boozed on your post-climax, Jack moved away from you for a moment, just to turn you on the bed and let you lay on your back. On a gentle pace, he moved inside you again, cupping your cheek and kissing you passionately, resulting in your lazy body starting to react more intensively.
“Gimme another one, sugar.” Jack mumbled without moving his mouth off yours, still kissing you and mercilessly moving his free hand to touch your clit. You arched your back, moving your hips against him, aware that it wouldn’t take too much for you to come again.
Contorting and moving your arms the most you could while being tied, you felt that tension starting to grow once more in your womb as you whimpered and squeezed Jack’s cock inside you more and more. Being a total mess of irregular breath and incomprehensible whispers, you hit another orgasm, this time getting boneless with it. Taken aback by the beautiful scene of his wife so out of her mind due to pleasure, Jack allowed himself to go, keeping his lips glued on yours and his hands all over your body, filling you with his warm seed.
You got slightly confused when Jack moved away, only understanding what was his goal when you felt his tongue sinking on your entrance, savoring every single drop of your mixed tastes. The most you loved everything he was capable of with his mouth, you couldn’t take anything else at that moment, so, at the very moment you felt his attention moving to your hipper-sensitive clit, you had to prevent him from going further.
“Red.” Faster than the blink of an eye, Jack moved to your side after hearing the safeword.
“You’re okay, my love?” he questioned while caressing your face.
“Yes, I just can't take it anymore.” Jack nodded and pressed a gentle kiss on your lips, already in the aftercare mood.
Carefully he unrestrained your wrists and only then did you realize how heavy and tired your arms were feeling, aware that you’d be sore next morning. Knowing that you were too drained to get out of bed, Jack walked to the bathroom, coming back probably less than a minute later, sitting on the bed, gently moving your legs apart, and taking a relieved sigh from you as you felt the fresh wet towel calming your highly sensitive core. When you were cleaned, once more surprising you with how attentive he could be, Jack softly massaged your already slightly sored arms with something that you recognized by the scent a few seconds later as muscle pain ointment. With that done too, he helped you sit on the bed, grabbing your water bottle from the nightstand and patiently holding it while you drank. At the moment you were satisfied, Jack moved back to lay by your side, tenderly pulling you close and smiling when you got nestled, laying your head on his chest.
“After all that, I’ll be used as your pillow too?” he joked in a soft tone, caressing your hair.
“Thanks to you I’m exhausted, so yes.” You answered with your eyes closed.
“Fair enough.” He smiled and pressed a loving kiss on your forehead.

There’s a well-established inverse relationship between a dog’s size and its expected lifespan. Bernese mountain dogs and Great Danes live just six to eight years, for example, while corgis can live up to 15 years and Chihuahuas up to two decades.
San Francisco biotech company Loyal wants to close that gap, and is developing an experimental drug to extend the lifespan and improve the quality of life of large and giant dog breeds. Today, the company announced that based on early data, the US Food and Drug Administration has determined that Loyal’s drug has a “reasonable expectation of effectiveness.” The company hasn’t yet shown that its drug actually extends lifespan, but the FDA decision signals the agency’s confidence in Loyal’s approach, and the drug will soon be tested in a bigger trial.
“Big dog owners want more time with their dogs,” says Loyal CEO Celine Halioua. “It’s really heartbreaking to people that they don’t live that long.” She argues that the wide variety in dog sizes isn’t natural, but a result of selective breeding by humans to create dogs with certain physical traits or that can perform specific tasks. On average, mixed-breed dogs live longer than their purebred counterparts.
So far, the FDA has not approved any drugs to expand the lifespan of animals—or humans, for that matter. “This is completely novel,” says Linda Rhodes, former CEO of pet biotech company Aratana Therapeutics and a consultant for Loyal. It’s difficult to study life-extension drugs in people, she says, because humans live relatively longer lives than other species. But starting with dogs—and the breeds with the shortest lives—could yield important clues. “The implication for other species, including humans, is pretty profound,” she says.
Loyal’s experimental drug is an injection designed to be given every three to six months by a veterinarian. The drug is meant to lower levels of a hormone called IGF-1, which is involved in growth and metabolism and has been linked to dog size. Large dogs have a genetic variant that leads to high levels of IGF-1 and small dogs have a different variant that results in lower levels.
Inhibiting this hormone has been shown to increase lifespan in worms, flies, and rodents. In humans, both very high and very low levels increase mortality risk, while a midrange is associated with the lowest mortality.
In early studies, Loyal dosed 130 research dogs with its investigational drug. Halioua says the company has shown that it can reduce IGF-1 levels in large dogs to those seen in medium-size dogs. Two dogs had loose stools for a day or two after receiving the injection, but beyond that, Halioua says, no major side effects have been observed.
To determine the drug’s effect on lifespan, the company is planning a bigger study that will start in 2024 or 2025, and enroll about 1,000 large and giant breed companion dogs that are at least 7 years old. Each will receive either the experimental drug or a placebo.
Halioua says the company aims to have its drug on the market by 2026. But first, Loyal still has to prove to the FDA—which regulates both human and veterinary medicines—that the injection is safe and that the drug can be reliably manufactured. At that point, the FDA can grant conditional approval, a temporary authorization that lasts five years and allows the drug to be sold by prescription. During that time, Loyal will collect effectiveness data and apply for full approval.
Loyal is also working on two other drugs: a pill version for large and giant dog breeds, and a pill for older dogs of all breeds.
Danika Bannasch, a veterinary geneticist at the University of California, Davis, who specializes in canine genetics, says that IGF-1 is only one factor thought to be associated with dog size and longevity. “As for targeting it, I think it’s a bit premature. We know that smaller breed dogs live longer than larger breed dogs, but we don’t know how much of that is due to the influence of IGF-1,” she says.
In a study published last month, Bannasch and her colleagues identified another possible driver of dog longevity, a gene called ERBB4. Studying more than 300 golden retrievers, they compared the DNA from blood samples of dogs that were still alive at 14 years of age to those that died before age 12. They found that dogs with certain variants of the gene survived longer—on average, 13.5 years compared to 11.6 years. Bannasch cautions that the work was conducted in only one breed and that it’s not known whether these variants are associated with longer life in other types of dogs.
The ERBB4 gene is the canine version of HER4, a human gene closely related to HER2, which is associated with cancer. Studying the canine gene could have implications for human health. Researchers are also testing new cancer treatments in dogs with the hope that these therapies could help people.
Giving an experimental drug to healthy dogs is different from treating sick dogs. Bannasch says Loyal’s drug will need to clear a high safety bar for owners to be comfortable giving it to their pets. She also thinks a drug would need to show more than a few months of life extension before people would want to buy it for their dogs. “As a pet owner, I think anything over a year would be great. I suspect people would be really interested in that,” she says.
Linda Rhodes says that humans owe it to dogs to make up for the genetic misfortunes they’ve inherited due to hundreds of years of breeding. “We’ve bred dogs to have problems because we want them to look or act a certain way,” she says. “It’s our responsibility to figure out how we can help.”

--------------
The first time they had seen each other was in the midst of quarantine.
Chewy had been losing her mind with boredom given that she was only allowed outside for a short daily walk. Eivor was losing her mind as well: she was stuck inside with a hundred and ten pound Bernese Mountain Dog and she herself was going stir crazy. Of course she was going to stay inside and do her part - but she had to admit it was a little monotonous … and stressful.
She had set up her balcony to be a retreat for Chewy so the dog could at least get some fresh air during the day. She herself had decided to set up her work out corner within sight of Chewy so she could watch her dog while getting her reps in.
Of course she hadn’t realized her work out nook also happened to be in perfect view of anyone in the apartment building across the narrow alleyway.
And so it happened on a nice, warm spring morning when Eivor was doing her daily workout that Chewy placed her front paws up on the balcony railing and began to bark. Eivor had been in the middle of doing a set of pull ups, using a bar set up across her bedroom door frame. She finished her set and dropped to the ground and walked towards the open doorway to where Chewy’s barks were still piercing the quiet morning air.
“Chewy,” Eivor said as she approached the balcony, “What are you barking at?”
Her dog rarely ever barked and for her to go on this long was out of the ordinary. Immediately her thoughts went to her landlord who had made an exception to their “no large dogs” policy only because Chewy was so well trained by Eivor.
She didn’t want to put that in jeopardy, especially now of all times.
Chewy was on the balcony, both paws still on the railing and her fluffy tail wagging faster than a windshield wiper in a rainstorm. Her gaze was fixated on the apartments across the alley - specifically the apartment directly across from Eivor where an absolutely beautiful woman was now standing at the window with a bowl of cereal in hand.
Chewy ceased her barking as soon as Eivor stepped out onto the balcony. The dog looked back at her master with a goofy grin as if to say, “Look what I found!”
As soon as Eivor stepped fully into view, the woman at the window widened her eyes slightly. She cocked an eyebrow at Eivor and smirked. It took a moment for Eivor to figure out why:
She was standing on her balcony clad in no more than a black sports bra and running shorts.
Eivor grinned back at the woman, ‘Beautiful and has good taste,’ she thought and she gave the woman a friendly wave.
The woman set down her bowl and reached over to open her window when she paused and looked back into her apartment. Eivor could make out the cuss word she said before she flashed an apologetic look at Eivor and walked away from the window.
Chewy finally settled down and planted her front paws back onto the floor. She stared up at Eivor with her big brown eyes and lolled her tongue. Eivor reached down and scratched Chewy behind the ears and the dog’s eyes closed in absolute ecstasy as her tail thwumped the old wood of the balcony.
“Are you making a new friend or are you trying to get me laid?”
“Boof.”
Eivor saw the woman the next morning.
Her neighbor across the alley had set up her laptop at a table next to the window and was now sitting down and working. Or at least she was giving the illusion of working - there was indeed quite a distraction across the way from her.
As evidenced by her gaze constantly flickering up towards Chewy who was back on the balcony and propping her paws back up on the railing so she could stare at the woman. Eivor stepped onto the balcony, slightly more dressed this time - even if she had swapped out her sports bra for a tank top.
She leaned on the railing next to Chewy and gave the woman a smile and a wave.
The woman smiled widely and waved back, standing up so she could reach over and slide the window open, “Morning neighbor!” she called across the alley.
“Morning,” Eivor called back, “I think my dog’s taken a liking to you.”
“Yeah she’s been staring at me for the past week,” the woman replied with a laugh, “I’m glad she finally brought your attention to it. What’s her name?”
“Chewy,” Eivor said, “What’s your name?”
“Randvi.”
Randvi.
Maybe it was the quarantine driving her slightly mad or perhaps it was because this Randvi was absolutely drop dead gorgeous but Eivor found herself wanting to repeat that woman’s name over and over. So caught up in her thoughts she didn’t realize Randvi had asked her a question until she noticed the woman staring at her expectantly.
“What?”
Randvi laughed, “What’s your name?”
“Eivor.”
“Eivor,” Randvi repeated and Eivor found that her name sounded beautiful on Randvi’s lips, “That’s a nice name.”
They chit-chatted for a few more minutes before Randvi was called away. She was a paralegal - not allowed into her office for the time being, she had to work from her apartment. She had found Chewy a welcome break from the monotony.
“Does Chewy like toys?” she asked before she closed the window.
“What dog doesn’t?” Eivor replied, “She’s been chewing through them this whole month, I’m running out of sewing thread to repair them.”
Randvi replied with a twinkle in her eye, “Well maybe that’s a sign it’s time she needs some new toys, hmm?”
Eivor was about to reply that the offer was too kind, that Randvi didn’t need to do that. But with how Randvi and Chewy were now looking at her - she knew she was outgunned and outmatched.
“I think Chewy would love that,” Eivor said.
Chewy barked as if to agree.
When Randvi closed her window to get back to her work Eivor stepped away from the balcony and back into her apartment - which she realized was getting a lot more cluttered than she’d like. As she spent the rest of her day straightening up the place and cleaning, she repeated the woman’s name.
“Randvi.”
Every time she said it she felt butterflies flutter in her gut. By the time she sat down on her couch, late that evening, she had realized what was glaringly obvious from day one:
She had it bad for this woman.
In the next week they had come up with a little routine. Eivor would take her meals out on the balcony with Chewy and Randvi would sit at her desk and eat with them. It wasn’t quite like a date but it was as close as they were going to get. Randvi had scrawled her phone number on a large poster sheet and held it up to the window so they could better coordinate their meetings.
When Randvi wasn’t around or when she was too busy with work to talk, she taped up a poster sheet to the window with large writing in marker, “Hello Chewy & Eivor!”
Eivor wasn’t even mad that Chewy took precedence on the poster.
One fine evening a week and a half later, Eivor got a text from Randvi:
Come out to the balcony.
Eivor obliged with Chewy hot on her heels and stepped out onto the balcony to see Randvi standing by the open window, a large cardboard box on the table next to her. She could see something made of stuffed fabric half hanging out of the top and she realized what the contents of the box were.
Randvi had made good on her promise of new dog toys for Chewy.
“How are we going to get them across?” Eivor asked.
In response, Randvi held up a water bottle with a string tied to the neck, “I’m going to throw this across to you,” she said, “Wrap the string around your planter hook and throw the bottle back to me.”
Eivor nodded, her brow furrowing for a moment before she realized Randvi’s plan. Randvi tossed the bottle over to Eivor and Eivor caught it, she looped the string around the planter hook that was hanging from the roof of her balcony and chucked the water bottle and string back to Randvi. Randvi took the string from around the neck of the bottle and tied the ends of the string together, making a loop and hanging her end of the loop from a hook by her window.
She attached the first toy to the string and gave Eivor a thumbs up, Eivor pulled the rope towards her while Randvi helped it along. It wasn’t a perfect pulley system but it got the job done and Eivor was able to grab the first toy, a yellow duck, from the string.
Chewy sat on the balcony, waiting obediently for Eivor to allow her access to the toys that were now coming across the string. The next toy came over and then the next … and the next … soon there were five brand new chew toys sitting on the balcony table for Chewy to prove her name to.
One final toy came over and Eivor had to chuckle.
It was a large stuffed toy in the shape of a beer bottle.
“You should give that to Chewy first,” Randvi said with a wink.
Eivor cocked an eyebrow but acquiesced as soon as the toy came over, handing the bottle over to Chewy who took it into her mouth immediately. The sound of a cap being popped from a beer bottle caught Eivor’s attention and she looked back up just in time to see Randvi hold up a bottle of beer, “Skal!”
Eivor held up a finger and dipped back into her apartment. She came out a moment later with a bottle of her own and sat on the chair, raising her bottle to Randvi, “Skal!”
-
It was another long month before quarantine was lifted. A long month made bearable by Eivor’s balcony dates with her neighbor across the way.
When the news came that the lockdown was lifted, Eivor and Chewy practically ran outside. Eivor had made sure to shoot a quick text to Randvi before leaving to let her know they were going to be going for a walk.
Chewy was first out the door and paused for a moment as if to wait for Eivor before she took off like a shot towards a nearby bench. The reason for her excitement became obvious when Randvi stood up from the bench and braced herself so as to not get bowled over by the mass of fur and slobber that came at her at full tilt.
“Chewy no jumping!” Eivor admonished as the dog placed her massive paws on Randvi’s chest to lick at her face.
“Aww, it’s nice to meet you too Chewy,” Randvi managed to say as she turned her head upwards to keep Chewy’s tongue away from her mouth.
Chewy dropped immediately at Eivor’s command, now sitting slightly more calmly but with her tail still wagging furiously and her tongue lolled. Eivor clipped the leash to Chewy’s harness, “Would you like to join me for a walk? And then perhaps dinner?”
“I would,” Randvi said with a smile. She paused for a moment as if thinking through what she was about to say next.
Finally, with a suggestive tone and smirk Randvi said:
“I’ll even stay for dessert.”

Henlo,, do you do the hc prompts for the agents still? Could you do by chance one for Breach if it's alright 👉👈
Breach <333
I'll put this out there that technically my requests are closed, but if someone asked me for Breach stuff I would probably still write it bc I love the man and there's so little about him in this fandom
5 things they usually see:
Bamse! This is my fave HC for him that's basically cannon (but old, deleted cannon). His Bernese mountain dog that Nina kindly named so long ago! But he sees Bamse every day when he's not on missions, and his pup is probably allowed a bit of exploration around certain areas of the base. Though perhaps a little too high energy and slobbery for some agents. The ones that like dogs will swing by the dorms or workshop sometimes to see if they can catch Bamse out and about.
Other people's shock/discomfort. It doesn't matter if he's loud or quiet, Breach has met too many people to ignore the way other people's eyes drift from his eyes down to his arms. Some people have visibly flinched, others kind of ready themselves as though they expect him to start a fight right then and there. But so much of how people see him is how they see his arms.
His workshop/garage + car parts. He has an interest in motor vehicles and loves tinkering, personalizing, and upgrading all his gear, and spends the more time on his car than most. On occasion, he gets help from Raze to paint on his car, but otherwise this is a moment he can spend alone.
Ghosts of people he used to know (not actual ghosts... the people are still alive, just not with him.) Sometimes, he'll catch the sight of someone who looks just a little too similar to his nephew, or his father, and he has to do a double take, just to realize that the stranger was nothing like them. Each time, it brings up an ache in his chest. A reminder that what's lost is gone forever.
Rubble or crumbling structures. He doesn't do quiet very often, if at all. So, when he's lead on a mission, his team and Brimstone are expecting lots of collateral. Some, aka Raze, look forward to that, and others are reproachful (Astra, Sova, and Brimstone mainly).
4 things they usually feel:
Frustration. Due to his congenital amputation, he has faced discrimination more than once in his life. Even when he got his arms, no one could see past them, which was impressive considering how big of a guy he was. "Always have to overprove myself," and "Doubt me again!" That's his mentality. He can't just do what's expected, he has to perform the best each time, and one slip up can be held against him unfairly. That sort of attitude will sink in deep after enough time, and so, despite his solid self esteem and confidence, he still feels the need to prove himself hundreds of times over.
Sore muscles. I once posted something about him one day being unable to keep going with arms and downgrading or retiring. I think the thought of not keeping up plagues him at his lowest lows. And when he wakes up in the morning and feels a little stiffness, the thought of this being too much flickers across his mind.
The whizzing of bullets by his face. He's probably one of the more experienced field agents from his past. Also, he enjoys the risk and the thrill of a fight. "Guns in my face? Just another Tuesday." Instead of flinching at danger, he smiles and looks forward to the action.
Nothing (literally in this case). I think, especially when he was younger, he would see everyone around him touch the things around them. People who brush their coats off, who run their fingers over certain tactile textures, who flinch when the coffee cup is too hot. Seeing so many people feel or do the same thing, and then he himself feeling nothing but the absence... it was pretty hard to understand for him.
3 things they usually hear:
Brimstone's raised voice. They don't always agree and they don't like each other enough to be bothered to keep it civil. More than once, it has almost escalated to a fist fight, but others have always separated them. This isn't so common anymore, and he's probably suspicious that Raze had a part to do with it, but it works out for the better. More recently, with Brimstone having a hand in reducing his nephew's prison sentence, and then their jam sessions, they don't really have screaming matches anymore. At least, not on a regular basis.
His drumming! I already made my points about his drum kid, but playing along with the metal he normally listens to is relaxing. His way to get rid of excess energy. In addition to listening to his own groove, he likes the feeling of the drumming thumping against his heart.
Raze and her stories. I like to think that when they were in the workshop together, early on right when he joined, he would listen with a smile on his face while Raze enthused about all the things she and KJ spoke about that day. He would tease, and he would fake annoyance, but he loves her company. She fulfills just a tiny bit of his longing for family.
2 things they usually smell:
Lingonberry jam, meatballs, mashed potatoes, and sausages! Traditional Swedish foods, just like his pathetic holiday takeover that one year. To this day, I still feel a rush of anger when I think of what he got to celebrate his life when everyone else had something much more extravagant planned (except maybe not Cypher... that was just... budget Queen's Gambit lmao). But in all seriousness, I think when he gets homesick, he cooks up this meal and lets himself reminisce and wallow in his regrets.
The various inorganic materials he needs to maintain his arms. They may be carbon-fibre and titanium plated, but they still need regular maintenance.
1 thing they usually taste:
Bitterness. Despite his whole lone wolf thing, I think it's been underlined enough that he still misses his home/family. Every t time he thinks of his family, he also remembers that it's his own fault that he's stuck here. And Raze does her best to be family, and he has tentative friends, or at the very least, allies, and yet he can't let go of what he misses most.

Bernedoodle Puppies & 9 Facts You May Want To Know
 A glance at Bernedoodle Puppies
Bernedoodle puppies are a popular designer dog breed that combines characteristics of the Bernese Mountain Dog and the Poodle. These puppies have grown in popularity due to their cute and fluffy appearance, as well as the fact that their fur does not cause allergies. Dogs captivate people all over the world because they make excellent family pets and friends.
History
Where the breed originated
The Bernese Mountain Dog and the Poodle were purposefully bred together in the early 2000s to create the Bernedoodle breed. The goal was to create a dog that possessed the best characteristics of both parent breeds, such as the Bernese Mountain Dog's loyalty and the Poodle's intelligence and allergy-free coat. The breed became well-known and popular due to how adorable it looked and how well it behaved.
What distinguishes Bernedoodle Puppies from other Bernedoodle breeds?
A Bernedoodle is typically the result of a cross between a Bernese Mountain Dog and a Poodle. However, there are some distinctions between dogs of the same breed. The various generations, such as F1, F1b, F2, and so on, demonstrate the level of hybridization and genetic makeup. Each generation may have different traits and coat types depending on how the parents mated.
Characteristics
External appearance
Poodle and Bernese Mountain Dog physical characteristics are shared by Bernedoodle puppies. They typically have a wavy or curly coat that sheds little and is often hypoallergenic, allowing allergy sufferers to live with them. They can look different from generation to generation and from parent breed to parent breed. They are usually strong, have eyes that show a lot of emotion, and appear friendly and easy to talk to.
Character traits
Bernedoodle puppies are said to be friendly, loving, and good with people. Most of the time, they get the Bernese Mountain Dog's gentle, loyal personality as well as the Poodle's intelligence and trainability. They are said to be very adaptable, good with families and children, and eager to please their owners. They enjoy being around people and spending time with their family.
Temperament
Bernedoodle puppies are calm and even-tempered, making them an excellent choice for families and individuals looking for a dog to keep them company. They are usually good with children because they are patient and kind. Socializing them when they are young helps them grow into well-adjusted, friendly dogs who are at ease in a variety of settings and with a variety of people and animals.
Size, weight, and life expectancy
Bernedoodle puppies can be different sizes, weigh different amounts, and live different amounts of time depending on the breeder and generation of the cross. They can range in size from extremely small to average. Miniature Bernedoodles typically weigh between 11 and 22 kilograms (25 to 50 pounds), while standard Bernedoodles can weigh up to 32 kilograms (70 to 90 pounds). Their average life span is between 12 and 15 years, but this varies by individual.
People education and training
Early education and socialization are critical.
If you want your Bernedoodle puppy to grow up to be a well-behaved, well-adjusted adult dog, you must train and socialize it while it is still a puppy. Training them when they are young helps them develop good habits, learn basic commands, and get along with people and other animals. They should go to different places, see different things, hear different sounds, and do different things during socialization. This will help them grow up to be confident and well-rounded individuals.
Suggestions for training methods
When training Bernedoodle puppies, positive reinforcement works well. They are intelligent and eager to please, which allows them to learn quickly. Reward-based training is extremely effective. This is when you use treats, praise, and play to elicit the desired behavior. Training sessions are most effective when there is consistency, patience, and gentle direction. You can also help them learn and socialize with other dogs by enrolling them in puppy classes or hiring professional trainers.
Problems with people's behavior and how to solve them
Bernedoodle puppies frequently exhibit behaviors such as biting, jumping, and excessive barking. To stop them from chewing, you can give them chew toys or divert their attention to something else. Jumping can be stopped with consistent training and positive reinforcement methods. You can stop your dog from barking excessively by training him, determining what motivates him, and treating any underlying causes, such as boredom or anxiety.
Taking care of business
Common diseases and symptoms: Bernedoodle puppies are susceptible to the same health issues as Bernese Mountain Dogs and Poodles. Hip dysplasia, elbow dysplasia, eye problems, and some genetic conditions are among the most common health issues. Regular vet visits, a balanced diet, exercise, and proper grooming are all essential for maintaining their health and detecting any problems early.
Dietary requirements
The food requirements of a Bernedoodle puppy vary depending on its age, size, and activity level. It is advised that you feed them high-quality dog food formulated for their size and age. It's critical to monitor their weight and adjust their food portions accordingly so they don't gain weight and their health remains optimal.
Exercise necessities
Bernedoodle puppies require physical and mental stimulation by playing and running around. They get the exercise they require through daily walks, playtime, and cooperative games. However, you must consider their size and energy level to ensure that they do not become overtired. Training and puzzle toys can also be beneficial to their overall health.
Personal hygiene and grooming
Bernedoodle puppies' coats must be brushed frequently to keep them in good condition and from becoming matted. Long-haired dogs may require brushing more than once a week to remove loose hair and keep it from becoming tangled or matted. A professional groomer may be required to make their coat look nice. It is also necessary to clean and trim their ears, teeth, and nails as needed.
Having children and reproducing
When breeding Bernedoodle puppies, their health and happiness should come first. Responsible breeders ensure that their breeding dogs receive the necessary health checks so that they do not pass on genetic health problems. They ensure that the puppies are well cared for and that their breeding dogs have all of the necessary health clearances. It is critical to conduct research and find reputable breeders who are concerned about their dogs' health and behavior.
Where can I get and buy an animal?
If you want to buy or adopt a Bernedoodle puppy, you should do a lot of research and choose a reputable source. Reputable breeders are concerned about their dogs' overall health, behavior, and well-being. They look after their breeding dogs, teach them how to get along with other people, and monitor their health. The best thing to do is visit the breeder's facility, meet the puppies' parents if possible, and ask questions about how they breed, how they test for health, and how they care for the puppies in general.
It may be easier to find Bernedoodle puppies with the help of online platforms and websites that connect people looking to buy puppies with reputable breeders. However, you should exercise caution and thoroughly investigate any online sources before purchasing anything from them. Look for breeders who have positive reviews, are open about how they raise their dogs, and are concerned about their dogs' health and happiness.
You could also consider getting a Bernedoodle puppy from a shelter or rescue organization. Discover How Weighted Jackets for Dogs Can Help Get Fit A Complete Guide
Tumblr media
Meta Description
Find out how your dog's exercise regimen might be changed using weighted jackets. Discover the best practices for choosing, introducing, and combining weighted jackets for dog performance and health. Exploring the Weighted Jackets for Dog Fitness
Weighted jackets are an original method that the dog fitness industry is now improving the physical fitness and general health of dogs. These specialty clothes are intended to provide focused friction during exercise, which successfully turns ordinary activities into active exercises.
They are much more than simply a statement of style. The use of weighted jackets has become an effective means for reaching measurable fitness objectives as dog owners look for methods to maximize the workouts of their animal friends.
Understanding the potential advantages of weighted jackets for our dog friends requires an understanding of the science behind them. Through an examination of how these jackets affect dog biology, including muscular growth, improved endurance, and heart function, we may better understand their usefulness as instruments for boosting peak fitness.
Furthermore, by using appropriate security measures and progressive introduction methods, dogs may benefit from weighted jacket education without jeopardizing their well-being.
The Weighted Jacket for Dogs Scientific Basis
Heavy dog jackets are made with extensive knowledge of pup biology. These specialty clothes have a function based on the laws of physics; they are more than just clothes to wear. We can understand how weighted jackets affect a dog's biology and how they might improve general health and fitness in dogs by learning more about these systems.
Effect on the Biology of Dogs
When a dog moves, weighted jackets provide a regulated amount of pressure to their body, causing different biological responses.
Muscle Construction
As the dog rotates, the extra weight these jackets give causes a greater level of muscle involvement across various muscle groups. Increased muscle activity serves as a kind of workout that is similar to what is seen in sports. Increased muscular growth, power, and tone may result from this over time.
Bone Size
Weighted jackets may benefit bone health in addition to muscular growth. More weight on the bones promotes development and reshaping especially in weight-bearing bones.
This feature is especially helpful for puppies going through the developing period or for seniors who want to maintain the strength of their bones and avoid age-related problems like bone loss.
Attitude and Body Knowledge
Dogs with weighted jackets often have a better awareness of themselves and their attitude. They have to modify their center of pressure and balance due to the additional weight, which improves their sense of balance and awareness of space.
This feature is especially helpful for dogs with bone issues or those undertaking rehabilitation from injury since it promotes regular exercise and lowers the chance of falls or other accidents.
Impacts on Performance and Muscle Growth
Muscle Stimulating
Compared to standard exercise alone, the effort offered by weighted jackets boosts a wider variety of muscles. By fostering a more balanced muscle, this complete engagement lowers the chance of problems that may result in injuries or incorrect movement.
Furthermore, regular muscle activation across the body enhances general strength and practical movement behaviors.
Improvement of Durability
Dogs' ability to endure often becomes better as they get used to the extra weight of the jacket. Exercise increases the burden on the circulatory system and muscle tissue, which leads to this improvement in durability. Dogs are better at using oxygen and energy as they age, which enables them to engage in exercise for extended periods without becoming tired.
Benefits for the Metabolic System
Exercises involving increased resistance, such as wearing weighted jackets, might cause changes in metabolism. Exercise may cause dogs to burn more calories, which helps them maintain a healthy weight and metabolism.
Furthermore, increases in insulin tolerance and glucose management may result from the increased metabolic effort experienced during weighted exercise sessions, which may lower the risk of metabolic illnesses like diabetes.
Knowing these complex biological effects makes it clear why weighted jackets are a recommended addition to dog exercise programs. But it's important to utilize them carefully, taking into account the unique qualities of each dog, such as age, species, and general health.
Seeking advice from medical professionals may be very helpful in making sure that weighted jacket teaching is secure and advantageous for every individual dog partner.
Selecting the Ideal Weighted Jacket
It's important to take into account several requirements while choosing the right weighted jacket for your pet. Not all weighted jackets are made equal, and selecting the ideal one requires weighing several factors to guarantee both effectiveness and safety while in use. Here's a detailed look at the things to think about before getting your pet a weighted jacket:
Things to Think About Before Buying
Weight Spread
Your dog's safety and well-being are greatly dependent on how the jacket distributes its weight. Seek for coats that disperse the extra weight across the entire body instead of putting it all in one place.
Uneven distribution of weight may cause pain, strain on muscles, or even damage, especially when wearing something for a long time or performing severe activities.
Flexibility
Choose a weighted jacket that is flexible and can be adjusted for both fit and burden. This lets you adjust the force to suit your dog's demands, level of health, and training objectives.
As your dog becomes stronger, you may alter the degree of the training by adding or removing weight packs from the jacket or adjusting the straps.
Component Excellence
Evaluate the jacket's building materials' quality. Strong, breathable materials are necessary for enduring constant use and allow for proper ventilation while working out. Should you want to use the jacket in environments where dealing with moisture is a problem, look for fabrics that are fast to dry or water-resistant.
Take into account how simple it is to clean and maintain the jacket as well to make sure it stays odor-free and safe over time.
Safety Features
To improve awareness and reduce hazards while engaging in outdoor activities, give priority to jackets with safety features. Low-light visibility is improved with shining strips or high-visibility voices, which lowers the risk of crashes or errors. When engaging in intense motion, secure fasteners like hook-and-loop fasteners or flexible belts keep the jacket from sliding or falling loose.
Connectivity with Straps and Leads
Verify that the weighted jacket is appropriate with the straps and straps you already own if your dog uses them for walks or training sessions. To ensure easy integration without sacrificing comfort or utility, look for coats with incorporated leash connection points or harness-compatible patterns.
Challenges for Size and Comfort
Proper Evaluation
To get the right jacket size, take precise measures of the dog's physical dimensions. Calculate the neck diameter, the distance from the lowest point of the head to the tip of the hair, and the length around the upper body to ensure a proper fit.
It is advisable to avoid making selections based just on weight divisions since dogs of the same weight might have different body forms and measurements.
Comfort and Flexibility of Motion
When choosing a weighted jacket, give special consideration to feel and range of motion. Make sure the garment fits your dog comfortably and properly without limiting its range of motion. Focus on important regions like the abdomen, chest, and shoulders where pleasure and maximum performance depend on being able to move.
Sample Adapting
Before investing, wherever feasible, let your dog test on the weighted jacket. This enables you to personally evaluate the fit and level of ease and make the necessary changes. When your dog wears the jacket, pay attention to how they move and behave to make sure there are no symptoms of pain or limitations.
Through careful consideration of these variables and thoughtful selection of the ideal weighted jacket, you can optimize your dog's training experiences and successfully promote their fitness objectives. To make sure that you and your dog have a good and happy time, keep in mind to put security, pleasure, and usefulness first.
Rules for Wearing Weighted Jackets in a Safe Way
Although there are many advantages to using weighted jackets for your dog's training and fitness, it is crucial to make sure they are safe while wearing them. Following the necessary security measures not only shields your dog from any danger but also optimizes the success of their training program. An extended look at safety factors for wearing weighted jackets is provided below:
Appropriate Distribution of Weights
Equal Load Delivery
Make sure your dog's body receives the additional weight from the weighted jacket in a fair way. An equal load distribution reduces the chance of strain or damage to certain joints or groups of muscles. In addition to encouraging typical motion patterns, this healthy distribution lessens the chance of pain or fatigue.
Ideal Weight Picking
Considering your dog's size, species, age, and level of fitness, choose a weighted jacket with an acceptable weight level. Gently increase the weight as your dog turns used to wearing the jacket; start with one that is thinner. Don't go beyond advised weight limitations to save your dog's skeletal system from excess stress.
Customized Weight Selections
Select a weighted jacket that lets you adjust the amount and location of the weight. You may customize the durability of a jacket to meet the individual demands and training objectives of your dog by adding or removing weight packs or adjusting sections. This flexibility guarantees that the exercise your dog gets is safe and appropriate for their level of ability.
Meeting with an Expert
When choosing a weighted jacket for your dog, get advice from an authorized vet or professional pet fitness trainer. These experts may provide specific guidance depending on the special qualities of your dog and any deeper medical problems.
Speaking with professionals guarantees that, to protect your dog's health, you make well-informed choices on weight choosing and use.
Observing Measures of Fear or Exhaustion
Watchful Evaluation
While your dog is wearing the weighted jacket, pay special attention to their actions and body language. Keep an eye out for any indications of anxiety, such as hunger, heavy panting, or anxiety, since these could mean that the weight level is too difficult or that the jacket is making you uncomfortable.
Subtle Indicators
During exercise sessions pay attention to any slight shifts in your dog's position, stride, or overall attitude. Fatigue symptoms, such as falling behind, not wanting to go on, or losing interest, should be addressed right once and may call for a change in the training plan or a break.
Reaction to Touch
Your dog's sense of security and any areas of stress or pain may be noticed by gently feeling their joints and muscles. Examine how your dog reacts to touch and take note of any sensitive or uncomfortable behaviors that can point to strain or overwork.
Clear communication
Clear communication is essential to determining your dog's sense of security and readiness to continue learning. Make sure you are communicating with the animal. Encourage your dog to use loud signals, such as "easy" or "slowly down," to indicate when it's time to take pauses or lighten up on activity.
To protect your dog's safety and well-being, fast respond to their indications and modify the program as necessary.
Resting and Healing
Give yourself plenty of time to relax and recover in between weighted jacket workouts. By allowing your dog's tissues to heal and adjust to the increased activity, proper sleep intervals reduce the likelihood of stress problems, muscular strain, and feeling tired.
To encourage the best possible healing and avoid compound fatigue include rest days in your dog's training program.
A safe and joyful training session may be guaranteed by following these extensive safety instructions and paying great attention to your dog's reaction while wearing a balanced jacket.
Put your dog's support, health, and longevity first to get the most out of weighted jacket education. While lowering the possibility of pain or damage. Make Sure You Have Pet Insurance for These 5 High-Risk Dog Breeds
Tumblr media
Not all dogs are created equal. One look at a basset hound, a Great Dane, and a toy poodle, and you’ll wonder how these three equally lovable but vastly unique animals could be considered the same species. Their differing features also require varying care and attention to health problems. Some dogs are just more likely to suffer injury or illness than others. With that in mind, make sure you have proper pet insurance for the following five dog breeds.
1. Basset Hound
A low-slung, belly-drooping, wrinkly tub of love and loyalty, the basset hound can be a great family pet. Unfortunately, the adorable short legs on these French hunting dogs have to carry a lot of weight, which can lead to health problems, especially hip and back problems. Owners should also be aware of stomach trouble like bloat.
Basset hounds tend to be slaves to their heightened sense of smell, making them insatiable eaters. Their weight should be constantly monitored as a way of ensuring steady health. As a result, their life expectancy is a tad lower than most breeds at around 10-12 years. Anyone who has ever owned one of these pups, however, will tell you that getting quality coverage for dogs like this is well worth it because they are such great companions.
2. Greater Swiss Mountain Dog
A beautiful, multicolored large working-class pooch, the Greater Swiss Mountain Dog (GSMD) originated centuries ago in the Swiss Alps. They are known to be social yet calm. Although relatively healthy for dogs of their size (up to 140 pounds for a male), they have the highest average pet insurance claim of all breeds at $425.  Should that fact influence your decision to raise one of these majestic-looking animals? Breeders and trainers would say categorically no, as the GSMD has a gentle disposition and is highly trainable and obedient to their human counterparts.
3. Cane Corso
This massively impressive specimen makes for an excellent guard dog. One look at the sheer size, muscular build, and somewhat intimidating expression is enough to ward off any intruder. A deeper investigation into the breed, however, reveals that they are mostly gentle giants.
The Cane Corso (also known as the Italian mastiff) is one of the most well-rounded breeds in the world. They are known to be gentle, intelligent, athletic, fearless, and highly trainable. Nonetheless, idiopathic epilepsy, mange, and eyelid abnormalities are common problems that can arise. Most coverage options for pets will take care of the relatively frequent care of these issues.
Tumblr media
4. American Staffordshire Terrier
Also known as a “pit bull,” this breed gets a bad rap due to the minority of unscrupulous people who train them for fighting. When raised properly and treated with love and care, the American Staffordshire terrier is smart, playful, and a great dog for kids.
Pet insurance is recommended for these dogs because if they are provoked and unleashed, they may get into a fight with another dog, leading to injuries.
5. Bernese Mountain Dog
It’s difficult for an animal to be as awe-inspiring as the Bernese Mountain Dog (BMD). Intelligent, affectionate, and loyal to a fault, this dog also has a distinct “peanut butter” appearance of brown mixed with black and white.
Sadly, the BMD has a life expectancy of just 6-9 years, one of the shortest of any breed. For unknown reasons, these dogs have the unfortunate characteristic of being nearly twice as likely as any other dog breed to suffer from a fatal form of cancer.
If you own a BMD, don’t let that information get you down. Get a great insurance policy for dogs, and you’ll have the best treatments available if your furry friend acquires an illness. Medication and surgeries are available that can increase your dog’s quality of life and overall lifespan. Just make sure you have the coverage to help that happen.
Where Can You Get Great Coverage for Your Dog Today?
Although these dogs are considered high-risk, all dogs are susceptible to injury or illness of some kind. Treatments often cost a few hundred dollars for minor incidents. I loved the headcanons for the main 4 as cats; but how about them as this time as dogs?
Dog lover ey? It's fine, dogs are great animals. Al though I am a cat person, this was really fun to make.
Hank:
- Hank is an intimidating Doberman.
- The scare of the neighbourhood. No mailman dares to get close, kids get nightmares from him.
- not only is he incredibly scary, but he's also incredibly strong. Instead of a normal leash, you use a straight-up steel chain to walk him. A few people insulted you for using a chain instead of a leash, but they quickly shut up once Hank sneers and growls at them.
- You had to adjust a lot when taking Hank into your humble abode, he didn't come with a warning when you adopted him. The person running the adoption centre actually expected you to return him within a few days since he's such a handful. However, it's been a whole 4 years now and he's still under your care.
- You have this metal fence that surrounds your property, to keep kids out and the dogs in. On the entranceways on the fence, you have several 'beware of dog' signs. Your mailbox is on the outside of the fence to keep the mailman safe.
-  When there are guests, Hank goes outside. You put him in the yard to make your loved ones comfortable. Hank is very invasive and guards his territory and his owner like no other. Once he is outside, he will either be barking at any passersby or stare at the guests from the window.
- Hank is the least affectionate out of all the dogs. The best you'll get is him laying on the other side of the sofa while you're sitting there.
- You didn't know about Hank's history, the adoption centre told you that they found the dog as a stray on the side of the street. However, all those visible scars in between his dark fur have you suspect that he used to either be a fighter dog or perhaps was abused by former owners.
- Whatever his history might be. He has never felt happier while under your care. He's perfectly happy here and no one is going to take that away from him.
- Hank is the best guard dog you have ever had.  ~~~~
Sanford:
- Sanford is a hefty Bernese mountain dog
- He's the one that leaves all the muddy pawprints all over the floor. It's a pain to clean up every time. You trained him to clean his paws in the doormat before entering.
- In the summer you have to brush Sanford every week, he loses so much hair in that season it's insane.
- Whenever you walk Sanford together with Deimos you go to the nearby forest, let them run around for a while. It's always nice to get some fresh air in the deep nature, for you and the dogs.
- When summer starts, you take him to the groomer to get his fur trimmed. It makes him a lot more comfortable during those warm months.
- Sanford believes he's a whole lot smaller than he really is. He loves to rest on your lap, make sure to keep petting him. If he falls asleep, you are stuck where you are with that huge canine on your lap.
- There wasn't any information of Sanford's history before you adopted him. But you suspect that he used to be a police dog or something like that. He's well trained, listens well and is a good guard dog.
- Now while under your care he can live the rest of his life peacefully together with friends. chasing all the squirrels he wants.
- Speaking of rodents, you don't have to worry about pests anymore. All your dogs love to hunt down the many rodents in and around your house.
- Sanford is there to greet you when you come back from either work or running errands. His tail wagging happily upon seeing you return.
~~~~
Deimos:
- Deimos is an energetic Border Collie
- His favourite thing to do is run around in the back garden. Running around, in general, is his favourite thing to do.
- Deimos and Sanford are best friends it seems, always playing and running around together. It's always nice to see your dogs get along. Open fields are the best place to take Deimos out walking, where he can run around and chase the tennis ball you play fetch with together with him and the other dogs.
- he's most likely to chase after his own tail for minutes on end until he gets either dizzy or tired.
- Make sure to close the door when you're either taking a shower or a bath. Deimos really wants to join your shower for some reason. He seems to love water and is always drawn towards it no matter the situation. You had to coax him out of lakes many times before.
- In the summer you take the water-hose to play with the dogs. It's always fun to watch your dogs run after the water your shooting in the air.
- Deimos will look for people if the room is too quiet, which means he will look for you in the night. If you're still awake, you will hear his paws tap over the floor before he jumps on the bed and sleeps by your feet.
- He's is always happy to meet guests, when family or friends show up he will be there at the front door to greet everyone. Many of your loved ones love Deimos for being a people lover.
- Deimos is a whole lot faster than the other dogs, he always catches the tennis ball first whenever you throw it.
- Knowing that Border Collies are sheep herding dogs, you assumed Deimos has that kind of history as well. A hunting dog may also be an option. Since Deimos brings in the bigger rodents in the house.
- regardless, Deimos is the most lovable and energetic dog you've ever had, and you wouldn't trade him for anything in the world.
~~~~
2Bdamned:
- 2Bdamned is an intelligent husky.
- The most well behaved out of all the dogs, he seems to be the leader of the pack. He bosses everyone around except you.
- Doc keeps the other dogs in line. Sanford is least likely to get growled at by 2Bdamned.
- You make ice baths for the husky in the summer. He loves his ice bath and no other dog can have it. You eventually made a second ice bath for the other dogs... Diva.
- Despite 2Bdamned being the leader of the other dog, he is still your pet. You're just a rank higher in the pack and every dog listens to you... most of the time...
- 2Bdamned is the best trained, he was already a bit trained when you first adopted him. But you were able to teach him a few more tricks. He's a fast learner.
- During the night, the other dogs will sleep anywhere except the dog-beds. But Doc neatly sleeps in his own dog-bed every night.
- Despite his usual grumpy behaviour, 2Bdamned loves to be pet. He will simply come and lay next to you as a silent request to be pet. You happily comply, with his request and pet his soft thick fur. And now you have to keep going until he falls asleep.
- In the morning, while you make breakfast. 2Bdamned wakes the other dogs up for their breakfast. Soon enough you have four dogs by your legs, looking up at you with pleading eyes, begging for food.
- Out of all the dogs, 2Bdamned is the keenest on other dogs. While Hank would attack any other dog without a second thought, Doc would inspect other dogs and then decide if the dog is a friend or foe. You can take Doc to the park without a problem.
- Doc wakes you up in the morning. Once he learns your morning routine, he will make himself part of that routine and follow you around while you get ready for the day ahead. A little later your other dogs join in. You love these dogs really, but they're a handful at times.  ___________________________________________ I prefer cats over dogs, to be honest... Thanks for reading.  - Smilex

For the characters in your TTB cont. Who is a cat person, dog person, fish person, bird person etc.
My brain cannot long lists currently but I’ll do you one better and list the people who keep pets on both teams!
On the Autobot side:
- Mirage has an Irish Setter, Dunedan, who used to follow him whenever he got pressed to go out on fancy fox hunts while he had to play the part of an aristocrat. (He doesn’t like these, the dog doesn’t really like these, and he usually just ‘accidentally’ chases the quarry away too early so they could just go riding in the countryside instead). Mirage also has a horse, Avalon’s Renaissance (“Ava” for short)—an old Cleveland Bay dame that’s seen too many hunts and now prefers casual walks which he’s absolutely fine with.
- Ironhide has Molly, a sassy cattle dog.
- Bumblebee keeps Bigwig, a rabbit (something he wasn’t allowed to have earlier in childhood).
- Ratchet keeps and breeds. Medical leeches. He names them, there’s a lot, he has some favorites, he praises them for a job well done (He doesn’t get rid of them after a session but either releases them or keeps them for breeding purposes).
- Jazz and Prowl co-own a cat, Esmeralda, that Jazz picked up during a mission and nursed back to health. She’s their sweet angel baby even if she’s all banged up.
- Hound had ram he liked back on his farm which he handraised as a lamb after its mother died.
- Prime’s gotten around to feeding and befriending the pigeons around Alpha Trion’s estate, and they now flock to him whenever he goes outside. Rearing pigeons was an activity his father enjoyed doing on the rooftop of their apartment way back in his childhood, and he’s carrying on the tradition.
-Kup of course has Dakshi, her rescued Ovcharka!
- Drift likes crows and crows seem to like Drift. Whether it’s because he’s calm, chill and feeds them in his spare time or if it’s because the two of them are closely associated with death is anyone’s guess.
On the Decepticon side:
- Megatron loves dogs and had one in his youth, a Bernese Mountain coal miner’ s dog named Boudicca, but hasn’t gotten around to getting one himself as he’s wary of getting that attached to anyone/anything again. Instead he spoils:
- Barricade’s dog! Barricade rescued an old pit-fighting Staffordshire, and life for the old fella has been sweet under his care ever since. There was never an official name for this dog, Barricade never expected to keep him but decided to after a while, and since the dog has basically started responding to “Fella”/“Ol’ Fella”, that’s the given name.
- Skywarp has Najmina, a hunting falcon he’s very proud of.
- Thundercracker has Buster!
- Tarn… likes dogs too 8’3
- Nickel does keep an old, ornery cat that hisses at everyone but her.
- Rats were not uncommon pets for offworld miners who didn’t have access to anything else, and rats were literally the only other creature living with them in the mines. As such, Rumble and Frenzy do keep and care for four rats, which came with them all the way from Messatine.

What did you think about the new lone star episode? I like reading your opinions because I always agree with them lol
Oh my god babe im so glad you asked because I probably would have told you anyway
SO there was a lot,,, like a lot of thoughts that I had to write them all down and the Owen thoughts will be at the end, because I know thats what you’re here for
- CAPTAIN JUDD
- Marjan being ✨pretty✨
- “Husband? You guys are babies.”
- Its the Tarlos Teasing for me, and the way TK pushes Carlos away I’m- these boys are so soft
- Paul called them Tarlos I’m-
- Someone give Marjan a hug please, I want to give her a hug
- I have a lot of experience painting rooms myself instead of professionally and like,,, Owen literally taped EVERYTHING it was so unnecessary anyway-
- “What the hell are you doin here?” Go off Judd I’m begging you
- also the way Marjan looked at Owen when he’s spouting off orders at them cause she knows thats not his job at the moment and he should just not
- “Ride or Die bitches” queens supporting queens
- The Sun and Salt reopening!!
- There’s a major lack of my favorite Bernese Mountain Dog
- Marjans outfits are iconic as always
- The way she’s starting to breakdown but still manages to save her life and do her job despite the fact that she has every right to be mad at the girl but she’s not because thats just Marjan
- Carlos’s lil wink when TK goes “Crisis Averted!!”
Now for my Owen (Derogatory) thoughts
If you don’t agree with this that’s fine, I don’t expect everyone to, so just keep scrolling my love thanks
- So Gabriel talking about the arsonist’s profile (narcissistic, who thinks he’s so much smarter etc etc) and how perfectly it fits owen i just- More on that later
- Owen could at least pretend to have a poker face, like TK didnt have to get him anything but he did because he knows how difficult being away from work will be for him. Because TK (unlike others) pays attention
- Owen to Billy: I can’t imagine [listening to the scanner app thing] is very good for your mental health.
Me: dont you even start Mr. Tequila Time
- Owen and his stupid hero complex
- Owen Just casually making bombs and starting fires in his backyard exactly the way the arsonist started them just to prove a point
- Imagine being an ass to someone who’s not willing to break the law because he needs to keep his benefits because- ya know- he’s sick
- The way Owen said “I just need to make a stop” or run an Errand or whatever like he’s just running to the supermarket instead of breaking multiple laws and is only building the case against himself
- This might be really bad to say but like,,, if he isn’t at least convicted with the breaking and entering i might lose my mind
Owen literally said “here’s the physical description of the arsonist” and then described himself. AND THEN WENT “Here’s a mental profile of the most arsonists” and then described himself AGAIN. THEN he went out and bought bomb making materials and thought “well I’ll show them exactly how the arsonist set off the incendiary and then i’ll break more laws to prove it again. And they’ll celebrate me because I figured it out” and he’s probably right but like And then he was arrested and i smiled cause he’s a dumbass. There’s literally means (all the stuff he bought, the fact that he knew exactly how it works and how to set it off and and and), opportunity (he’s basically jobless for the next three weeks so), motive (mmm, he’s a bored sociopath?).
anyway that was a lot and im sorry but im so glad you enjoy hearing my thoughts about this because I have a lot of them and i like to talk about them
