I really hope the clone rebellion series will happen, there are still so many things that need to be shaped.
The most clear examples are Wolffe leaving the empire in one piece and the need to explain Cody disappearance (because I simply can’t image them letting him die offscreen).
Also, Echo and Rex distancing themself from the batch and starting to create their own squad looks like a great start for something more serious for me. Something worthy to be narrated.
After today’s episodes, I’m more prone to think that the Bad Batch will end extremely bad. Maybe till the point that everyone will be crushed into pieces and this will be the sparkle for a next clone TV product.
Maybe it’s the bad weather that’s making me a pessimist, but there is no time left to correct such tragedy and the creators have proved themself to be people that care about details and do not left plot holes behind. I just can’t see it happening this fast.

hearing about gale from tara is always such a treat because she's known him for so, so long, ever since he was just a boy and has watched him grow into who he is now:
Player: Excruciatingly awkward. On my side, at least.
Tara the Tressym: Don't be too hard on yourself, sir. You've been like that all your life.
Player: It's very unsettling how you can tell what I've been up to just by looking at me...
Tara the Tressym: Tressyms are exceptionally intuitive. And also, you wear your emotions like a very garish cravat.
Tara the Tressym: If that's all, then what comes after is for you to decide, Mr Dekarios. Think well on all that's happened, and stay true to that heart of yours. It's a good one.
which also sort of ties into this:
Player: I'd never want to lose you, Tara. I'll return the Crown to Mystra.
Tara the Tressym: There's a good humanoid. You had me scared for a moment here. But you're wise - and wiser all the time.
Player: That's just my boyish charm.
Tara the Tressym: Boyish charm and knees that creak like rusted hinges! Quite the combination.
Player: I'm honestly not sure. But don't worry - it's nothing I can't handle.
Tara the Tressym: Very tough.
Player: Must be the beard.
Tara the Tressym: Don't be silly. What is it really?
she's absolutely not averse to teasing him. however, it's never cruel and always light-hearted, just like she's not afraid to call him out on evading questions or making him reflect on the choices he takes if she does disagree with him. it really speaks of how long they have been at each other's side.
Tara the Tressym: Mr Dekarios. Gale. You are the finest mind - the finest wizard - I have ever had the pleasure to know. If anyone can beat this thing, it is you.
When you tried to control the Weave - when it all went, pardon my language, belly up - I was terrified. Scared you'd be hurt. Scared Mystra would punish you for your transgression. But do you know what never crossed my mind?
That you wouldn't figure a way out of it. My clever friend never leaves a knot knotted. This parasite is one more knot, so get to tugging threads. And - Mr Dekarios - please. The beard. I'd cut it down myself if I could hold a razor.
so from tara's pov, gale's always been awkward and obvious with his emotions.
she's convinced he has a genuinely good heart, one that she hopes he'll stay true to.
tara thinks he's wise, and growing wiser (condition: gale rejects to take the crown for himself).
she also thinks he's clever and brilliant.

why do i try so hard to make the characters in my fic fall in love in ways that seems natural and real when popular published books can just be like "i saw him from across the room and new i had to meet him. we swapped names in the rudest way possible. he never spoke to me kindly or showed in any way that he was a decent human being. he had only ever made me cry and been abusive and i want to marry him. im so in love"
like i am fighting for my life to make the crush in a fanfic make sense and doing that for no money when i would be writing batshit insane obsession/abusive/no-one-ever-says-sorry novels for at least one money

I've been reading Exodus lately and I've just gotten to the portions where God gives the first commands to the people via Moses (twice), and then goes on to give detailed instructions about the tabernacle and how it should be built, and I'm just... we think art is unimportant?? we think things only mean as much as their functionality?? we so easily fall into the trap of believing that beauty means nothing, that it's cheap and only worth whatever mindless distraction it brings, that it's barely more than a cheap sensual thrill, that buildings should just be practical and plain and cheap, that everything should be functional but ultimately disposable, that paintings and dresses and mugs and curtains and carpets are just pretty but have no real value, that beauty is fleeting and vain and therefore shouldn't be thought about too much, if even looked for at all... we fall into these traps so easily, and we forget that there are chapters upon chapters of painstakingly detailed plans to build one portable worship tent, and those plans have been handed down through thousands of years of human history, because beauty and art and skill in craft is important

I can hate on Rebirth for its flaws any day of the week but I can never truly hate it because it unequivocally gave us on screen proof that not only are Tifa and Aerith best friends but also that they undoubtably love each other.
Like there's no playing around with this like people do with the OG. It's not in subtext or in silent background moments where you see them together. Tifa and Aerith are friends, they care so much for each other that on the brink of death one of the people Tifa imagined calling and reaching out for her was Aerith.
They say, to Cloud and the audience's faces, that they are friends. Aerith was ready to punch that one girl in the face for trying to be catty with Tifa.
I don't EVER wanna hear from this fandom again that Aerith and Tifa do not care about each other or that they would let Cloud of all people get in between them. They were close in the OG and they're close in the Remake. FIGHT ME.
