No problem! It’s been a while since I’ve talked about this, and I’ve gotten over 700 followers since then
So hi, I’m A.D., and I’m an entirely anonymous fan creator. Only a handful of people know my main blog. Only one three people know my real (first) name. Only one knows my face.
See, I value internet safety, especially in a fandom like the one I started this blog in, the dsmp fandom. There are some crazy people there! So I decided to be anonymous, because I’m literally scared for my life sometimes because there are some real pieces of shit running around the mcyt space, and some from outside who make a hobby out of terrorizing mcyt fans. It’s for my safety and my own mental health as someone diagnosed with a couple sexy little panic disorders
I haven’t posted a regular fic on that account since early 2021, but I’ve been posting anonymously since late 2021.
All my properly published mcyt fics are under the fic series ‘Playlist A.D.’, and those are the only ones y’all need. But I also have the #a.d.‘s fics I suppose tag here on tumblr, so yeah. Sorry, but if it’s hard to find, it’s hard to find for a reason

Things I Want To See Whodunnit Edition
Mum got a copy of “The Science of Murder: The Forensics of Agatha Christie” by Carla Valentine a few weeks back and for some reason, I don’t remember why (probably avoiding coming back to my own, hotter house), I picked it up. I’ve been steadily reading through it around various meals and such ever since.
Of course, as sometimes happens, this got me on a Christie kick. I’m not much of a mystery person, but when I’m in the mood I quite enjoy them. Having polished off the fourth of the four books I had, I raided Mum’s collection. She picked up a couple more at her favorite bookstore and I’ve been cheerfully plowing through them as weather and sinuses refused to let me concentrate on anything else.
Now, while the weather has broken, I’ve spent now both of my days off in the incredibly irritating mental state of wanting to do something, not knowing what, and being too thoroughly distracted by my cranky making sinuses to even attempt to solve the problem. If you know me, you know this eventually leads to.....things.
Not always good things.
Right now, it has me crankily craving a Downton fic where someone is murdered and one of the household does it. Not Mary, because everyone would suspect Mary. Ditto Thomas. And not the Batses or Baxter because they already have criminal records already. Edith and Cora both have possibilities, simply because absolutely no one would suspect them. Mrs. Hughes or Mr. Molesley. No one in the house would suspect Carson, but at least half the audience would suspect Carson, and having the butler do it would be....mrgh. Yeah, not Carson.
And it has to be a case of someone straight up snapping. Not, say, revenge fic where someone in the house really did kill Alex Green or Vera Bates. No, no I want little-to-no-justification-petty-I-have-gone-round-the-bend murder that leaves everyone in the house shocked when it happens and beyond shocked when they find out who’s to blame.
...
No, I don’t write case fic. I wouldn’t even know where to start with this thing. But dang I want to read it and I can’t because it doesn’t exist and excuse me as I’m incredibly cranky about that.

This singing children's book just rhymed 'shark' with 'are.' you look at that and think 'oh that could work.' no. Not the way they're singing it it doesn't. Why are there so many terrible children's books. We've revamped standards for kids tv can we Please have a kids' books standards revolution?

PSA: i keep seeing posts about staying cool in extreme heat that include advice like "gatorade is bad actually!" and "don't drink fruit juice it'll just dehydrate you!" and neither of these are true!
regarding fruit juice: there's apparently a misconception that Any Sugar At All will dehydrate you, and that's simply not true. yes, sugar will make you pee more when consumed in large amounts, but 1) the natural sugar in fruits won't do this to you 2) great news! a lot of fruit juices exist without any added sugar in them! 3) honestly even having a glass of the fruit juice with added sugar won't completely dehydrate you as long as you're also drinking water throughout the day. if its hot you deserve a cold treat of a drink!!! can't go wrong with fruit juice!!!
regarding gatorade: maybe this isn't an every day drink, but guess what: if it's 110F/40C or hotter outside, and you don't have AC, or you're moving around a lot outside of the AC, and you're sweating buckets: that's when you drink a gatorade.
gatorade exists to replenish all the electrolytes (salt) and glucose (sugar) that you sweat out. YES it is meant for athletes to drink during intensive work outs and not necessarily for people who aren't doing that kind of exercise. BUT GUESS WHAT! when you're sweating buckets because you had to walk to the bus in extreme heat, that's intensive exercise. please feel free to drink a gatorade after that! that's its intended use case!!!!
no: neither of these drinks should be a total replacement for water. but drinking a lot of water and then treating yourself to a fruit juice with lunch is a good idea!!! drinking a gatorade becuase you just had to walk for 20 minutes in the heat is a good idea!!!

actual intense analysis of the situation aside, I love that Steven has only ever professed to truly hate two people in the entire universe. One of them is the dictatorial leader of a society of colonizers who is quite literally the root of all of steven and his gem family's problems and also personally traumatized him by physically ripping a vital organ out of his body. The other is a teenager who harassed him and his friend at a party.
Guess which one he still talks to.
