Favourite tiny detail from 3x05 Chicanery; the clock says 12:16 when they remove it from the wall before Chuck comes in.
Ah you fucking geniuses. *chefs kiss*

Something I didn’t expect from starting to watch Better Call Saul was to see reflected in Chuck McGill a reflection of my experiences with misophonia. I’m sure there are a number of different disorders his condition can be likened to, but - the inexplicable nature of it, the ravaging agitation, the inability to ignore the discomfort, the absence of medical support, the helpless, crazed, undignified desperation to get AWAY from the source of stimulus - it’s like looking in a mirror, watching my own pain playing out in front of me. Every damn decision he makes (in regard to his sensitivity) is so acutely, thoroughly, deeply recognizable. He’s ripping holes in the walls and I’m saying “no, Chuck, no,” but I’m right there with him, my hands in the insulation and drywall too, in perfect empathy, because god, I get it. I’ve never gotten that self-destructive, but it’s not unimaginable to me that my experience could ever get that bad - the possibility is just glimmering there distantly on the horizon, with me watching carefully knowing that there’s very little I can do if it starts marching closer. I have been haunted by the fact that the structure of my life and career hang on that thin thread, and it is truly bizarre to closely watch the ongoing downfall of a character whose own thread has long since snapped.

Thinking about BCS; 3x04 Sabrasito
The scene with Jimmy, Kim, Howard, Chuck and Miss Hay where Jimmy is being boxed into signing the PPD confession by Chuck.
My heart really just pours out at his being forced to apologise when Chuck manipulated him, treated him so poorly, as an inconvenience rather than a person, was never proud of him and set Jimmy up by being the most deceitful person.
Also the fact that when Miss Hay asks if the lights off are ok and he goes “It’ll have to do” fuck you man that’s just like the most bitchy comment when people are humouring your fucking imaginary pain at a psychotic illness. Ugh. It’s so passive aggressive and if I had been there I would have called out that bullshit and told him he was being a prick. The look on Jimmy and Kim’s face tells us they can’t believe Miss Hay just accepts that and then proceeds to pander to him more. We clearly know who’s side she is on.
And the apology. My God. That likely gave fuel to the fire of what Kim and Jimmy then did at the bar hearing. It pushed Kim closer to Jimmy, it really peaked her sense of injustice at how Jimmy was being treated — humiliated — in that room. And when he says “no brothers should treat each other like that. Not ever.” I can’t with this, it feels like Jimmy is pleading with Chuck. Pleading and asking why has he done this. But also, there is a layer of anger quietly bubbling underneath, a word of warning to Chuck that he definitely did not see coming at the hearing.
Chuck had drifted in Jimmy’s good natured, forgiving graces for so long. He extended such courtesy and leeway to Chuck that Chuck never reciprocated and finally, finally Jimmy gave up.

Was trying to figure out Jimmy’s angle here, and then realized that.. no, Jimmy just likes him.
