For anyone who especially enjoyed the ways Izzy interacts with Lucius and Stede this season, I really really recommend watching BBC’s Uncle; you’ll get a lot out of Val and Andy’s relationship
Not sure anyone will get the reference, lol, but so much of the BBC show 'Uncle' lives rent free in my head. And most of the lines are from Con O'neill's Val. This one in particular makes me smile.
The full exchange is: "You hurt my little girl and I will cut your dick off with a spoon. Do you understand?" "Yes, I..." "Dick... spoon!" Lol, it's the growl on 'spoon' that gets me every time.

Introducing Val doll celebrating Con O'Neill's iconic turn as Val Pearson in 3 seasons of BBC Uncle starring Nick Helm. I wanted to make something special for Con and Val seemed perfect, the ultimate role model and life coach! Ask yourself always What would Val do? What would Val say? What would Val wear?
But which outfit? I had to go with the Siouxsie inspired punk look and laugh every time the voice box shouts, "Screaming Vaginas!" I poured a lot of love into them and had fun sourcing the mini jewelry.
Life is like a rollercoaster. Now, some people have a grand old time. Some people cry and scream their heads off, some just vomit and others close their eyes and try to make the whole world disappear. (...) No, twat! I'm trying to tell you, that the funfair has more than one ride! You don't have to be on the rollercoaster!
Con plays a genderfluid character named Val who has a daughter who is the main characters ex. Hes not in every ep but hes in way more than you would think. Hes also queer and gets a happy ending.
Just saying, I think it's really cute that in S2, now that Izzy is more at peace and in less of an emergency state, you can sorta see the Val in him seeping through. Like, Val's warmth, prissiness, playfulness and wisdom. I just can't wait to see more of Izzy's healthier personality shine through now that he's discovering himself as a person separate from Ed and constant pressure.
