OKOK LISTEN I'M LITERALLY OBSESSED WITH AN ASSASSIN SCARA AU THE BRAINROT IS KILLING MEE
okay like. imagine reader and scara are both assassins. both despise each other since they're always competitive about their job, like they both are the best in the department. and most of the time reader and scara get paired up together since they're the best (im so sorry for the repetitive words eng is not my first lang💔) aand they always find literally ANYTHING to argue about . like yk.
AAAND what i want to ask a fic abt is when reader gets really badly injured on a mission undercover and what scara will do if that happens. thanks!
A/N Ooo~ that's an awesome idea anon, also sorry for taking so long, I took a break for creativity sake and then got really busy
P.S. And also don't worry, your English is great
Hatred, that's what Scaramouche feels for you
He turns away when you're paired together again because he can't stand to see your ugly face
He goes along with your plan to act like a couple only because he didn't have a better one
The burning red sensation that he feels in his face when you kissed him to really sell the couples act, had to be his anger at your audacity
The lump in his throat had to be his annoyance that you went off script and decided to scope out the place by yourself
Hatred has to be what he's feeling right?
So why...
Why does he heart beat faster when he finds your bloodied body?
Why does he panic and get all hysterical when you're barely moving?
Why does he want to drag you with him, even when you're a deadweight?
He should just drop you, leave you behind so that one of you survives to finish the job, but...
A spilt-second decision, he's got no time to lose
"Haahh.... you stupid idiot!"
One...! Shots echo behind him as he lifts you onto his back, he runs through the halls, occasionally shooting back but mostly focusing on get you out of there
He can barely breathe, it feels like a weight in his chest, is it the adrenaline? Or is it his emotions, finally flowing out, like the blood seeping from your shoulder
Two...! Drip drip, he can hear your blood drop on the floor, a constant reminder that you're dying the longer he takes
He weaves his way through original escape route and to safe house, protecting you the best he can, even at the risk of his own safety
Three! Rrrip, the gauze is open and he starts stuffing the wound, muttering all the while
"Why can't you just stick with the plan? Always had to go off by yourself! You could've gotten killed!"
You could've gotten killed. Why does that bother him so much?
Why should he care so much? Why does he care so much? What makes you so special to him?
Never mind, he has more important things to do
Ending Note: I might make a continuation, might not, but I'm back from my break
Thanks for Reading

About Wanderer's Downfall
The moment when he loses the Gnosis was the moment he loses himself once again.
His weapon, his tool, his...toy.
He didnt want to rule a nation or to destroy another one just because; he wanted to be recognize as someone of value & worth of affection.
Tumblr media
The moment he releases that he lost the battle and is going to get the gnosis taken back, is the moment when he starts to have a crisis.
His theatrics and his play of being a god ends; and he begins to plead, asking to please return his "toy" back to him.
Tumblr media
He curses, filled with hatred & rage towards the ones that took his toy away, - even if it is for his own good and the sake of others - yet, he doesn't understands this.
Tumblr media
"Anything but the gnosis...!"
As a kid, he treasures his toys with great care, and as a kid, he loses he's own control when there are no more toys to play anymore.
Tumblr media
He screams & cries, then the wires connecting him to the mecha break aggressively.
Tumblr media
He even breaks and hangs from the machine where he is, humiliating himself in desperation to recover what he believes belongs to him.
Tumblr media
"I'll never... I'll never go back!"
When his toy was taken away, he lets us know that he doesn't want to go back to his life as The Balladeer.
Where his only purpose was to be subject of experiments and to be used for someone else's plans.
Tumblr media
Then he stumbles in his recklessness...
Tumblr media
Just to fall deep in his misery & feeling of emptiness.
Tumblr media
Now, he's shut down and doesn't respond to any stimulus.
It looks like he enters in a process of grief or depression, which is totally understandable.
He lost a precious thing, something he considered that made him worth of affection & respect, something he has been searching all his life.
Tumblr media
He is again… lost in a deep slumber.
Tumblr media
But he's not they boy he used to be hundred of years ago.
He's not Kunikzushi anymore, nor he is Kabukimo or The Balladeer, or even Scaramouche.
He doesn't even have a name.
But that's no sign of defeat or emptiness, it is a sign of a new beginning, a sign of choice.
Tumblr media
The story of the puppet soldier & the ballerina doll really help to understand him better.
Tumblr media
The search to be smth else than a simple & still soldier, to become a beautiful ballerina.
Tumblr media
Being threw to the fire and turning into ashes.
Tumblr media
But discovering at the end that there's still a hearth within the soldier.
Tumblr media
Fortunately, for his own sake…or the good of others, he has people that will help him find a new meaning in his new life.
Tumblr media
Not as the puppet of an archon, nor as a Fatui Harbinger, & not even as an omnipresent god.
But as a simple, yet persevering Wanderer.

Suzanne collins wrote a trilogy where a main media propaganda strategy was to market a horrific act of violence as a love story to distract ppl and then it got adapted into a box office breaking movie and ppl made it all about the love triangle. so then since they didn’t get the point the first time Suzanne collins wrote a prequel story about the main dictator and she makes it so that you as a reader want it to be a genuine love story so badly even tho it’s so very clearly not and instead feels extremely unsettling to make her point even more meta which then gets adapted into another box office breaking film and now ppl are making romantic snowbaird tik toks. do u think she’s gonna write another book that’s somehow even more blatant or just give up and start executing ppl? hard to say but I wouldn’t blame her for the second one

thinking about how the hunger games were designed to prove that without society, order, government, someone to rule, we devolve into little more than animals, and how the games themselves prove over and over again that this is not true. We see it in every single game we witness.
Katniss placing flowers around Rue's body in the arena. Thresh sparing Katniss because she was kind to Rue, even though he was making it that much harder for himself to win.
Haymitch going back for Maysilee after hearing her scream even though their alliance had been broken. Haymitch holding her as she dies the same way Katniss did Rue.
Coral's "I can't have killed them all for nothing" when she realizes she's not going home. Lamina cutting down Marcus at great personal risk. And, my favorite moment in tbosas, Reaper collecting the bodies of his fellow tributes, his peers, even the ones who tried to kill him, into a pile. Taking the weapons from their hands. Closing their eyes and crossing their arms in the best approximation of a proper burial he can manage, covering them with the Capitol flag as a makeshift shroud.
The Games bring out the worst in people, yes. But despite the extreme circumstances, despite the exterior pressure of the Capitol, despite the fact that it could mean pain and heartbreak and death, it also shows that people have an enormous capacity for goodness. That even in a situation purposefully designed to make empathy impossible, people can't help but have it anyway.
Snow looks at the Games and all he can see is what's inside himself-- this pure animalistic drive to conquer and defeat. He kills and it feels good and he thinks that everyone else must feel that way too. He doesn't realize (maybe can't realize) that he is the exception, not the rule. He cannot see outside himself, outside his own warped perspective, to realize that the fact that people do show humanity in the games proves his entire worldview wrong.

So... since Scarameow is offical, I can add whatever cat habits I want to him and it'll still be canon right?
Cool? Cool.
He has a habit of shoving whatever you're doing that the moment and will stare at you until you get the hint that you're supposed to pay attention to him
Can and will sit on your guys bed while you're gone, staring at the door like it's going to open and reveal you
Absent-mindedly bites cords and exposes wires
Hisses at whatever startles him and upsets him
A/N I just had the best idea, someone should edit Scaramouche's face onto nyan cat
Thanks for Reading

look i know the hunger games fandom is entrenched in songbirds and snakes brainrot right now but i just wanna mention how horribly genius the tesserae system is
like. it's designed to keep the poorest districts from ever winning the games, by keeping the population of those districts on the verge of starvation without ever tipping the line too far. the poorer you are, the more you need your children to take tesserae. the more tesserae your children take, the more times their name is added to the reaping pool. the more times a name appears in the reaping pool, the more likely they are to be drawn over a person who doesn't need to take tesserae. a kid who's been surviving off of tesserae grain and oil is exponentially more likely to die early on in the games due to the effects of malnutrition (low muscle mass and body fat, not to mention the mental consequences).
pretty much the only reason katniss was physically capable of surviving the games was because she'd been able to catch meat in the forest. surviving on just the tesserae she was taking for her mother and prim, there's no way she would've had the physical strength to make it out alive.
say what you want about the realism of the hunger games but the tesserae system is horrifyingly well-designed to do exactly what it's supposed to do.
Edit: guys I wrote a fic that's meant to dissect all these horribly genius systems involved in the functioning of Panem, check it out

what makes Snow such a formidable villain within THG universe is that nothing he does was set in stone. there was no sense of inevitability about his actions and his brutality. Snow had enough perspective of poverty, capital cruelty, district hunger and not to mention his own arena experience’ and yet he actively chose at every moment to stray from natural goodness. its even more terrifying in the sense that he had the ability to care. Snow is not a mindless sociopath, he displays feelings to others such as sejanus, lucy grey and tigris but ultimately he will always choose himself. his ability to betray those he cared about in order yo advance himself makes him so much more than the stereotypical villain who is forced into his actions.
