➺ Fantasy Discord server, OC friendly, some server lore, SWF & NSFW, literate writers, safe space!! ────────────────── ➺ Relatively new, very small, very casual. We aren't following a dedicated, heavy plot and are mostly just fucking around and having fun, but we'd like to get a story going soon. Kind of a crack server tbh but if you're looking for serious writing, some members would be more than happy to provide! ➺We try to be careful about spoilers but be advised you may come across one by accident, and we apologize. ➺Canon characters taken: Astarion, Dammon, Gale, Gortash, Haarlep, Halsin, Karlach, Raphael, Shadowheart, Sorn (would love their twin!), and Wyll. ➺ Tav's welcome, we only have one at the moment. ➺ Text-based messaging, "plot drop" writing (five sentences or less), and anything up to novella writing are all applicable in this server though have their own areas.

Come one, come all to Volo's Guide to Misadventures, a Baldur's Gate 3 roleplay server!

This server is an 18+, full-lit roleplay server where you and your friends can play out stories as your favorite characters, and your Tav too!

We have multiple channels for roleplay in the plot of the game, and plenty of space for your own exciting stories to be told. Choose an available character or two to play, and interact with other members in and out of rp.

One person per character in the main "canon" story roleplay channels, but you're free to play anyone in our other channels. Come make friends and explore!

Hello hello! Are you looking for a baldurs gate 3 roleplay server? Then I got one just for you!

We're looking for more people to join us! We don't have many people yet so you could really be anyone! Ocs are always welcomed too!

The characters so far that are taken are; Shadowheart, Astarion, Halsin & The Emperor.

I do prefer it to be semi lit or lit but its fine either way! Just try not to do one lines too often. We have multiple channels for roleplay thats in the game as well! But if there are any channels you want me to add don't be afraid to ask!

Baldur's Dweebs is a loose campaign-style Baldur's Gate 3 Roleplay Server that seeks to recreate the BG3 experience through written roleplay and with a little more nuance than the game itself allows, welcoming writers of Origins, Canons, Tavs, and OCs alike.

Still actively looking for people to claim Lae'zel, Karlach, Halsin, and Minthara if those characters pique anyone's interest!

Most other non-Origin canons are also up for grabs.

OOC / Server Rules: (more complete rules in the discord)

Be Excellent To Each Other

No discrimination of any kind towards both "privileged" (white, male, cis, straight, able-bodied, neurotypical, etc) and "unprivileged" (poc, female, trans, LGB, disabled, etc) groups. Respect must go both ways or you're not welcome here.

Admins and Mods are people too. Treat us how you'd like to be treated.

If you feel that another user is acting inappropriately, please bring it to the attention of one of our staff. If you are having problems with a staff member, bring it to the admin. Staff are not exempt from rules.

Admins / staff are community advocates and mediators, but not babysitters. We expect you to do your own due diligence about communication.

Keep All Topics To Appropriate Channels.

Avoid political talk.

Vague-posting, passive aggressive commentary, or harassment aimed at other current group members is a kickable offense.

Participating in "callout culture" is a kickable offense, except in the following circumstances and with hard, irrefutable evidence of the accused crimes:

-Malicious stalking & hardblock evasion -Sexual harassment -Grooming (regardless of ages) -OOC Pedophilia / Hebephilia / Ephebophilia -Death threats -Suicide baiting &/or "kill yourself" type behaviors -Targeted hate, harassment, and cyber-bullying -Generally anything that would legally fall under "criminal actions" in a court of law

Roleplay Rules:

The "Canon Claims" channel is for those who would like to be the server's "Main" version of any Baldur's Gate 3 canon character (Astarion, Shadowheart, Gale, etc). The channel works on a first-come first-serve basis.

Duplicates are allowed, but not considered "canon" to server-wide events and can only be played in "Non-Canon threads". (See further down)

All RP channels are required to use appropriate tags for threads. These tags include Public, Private, NSFW, Canon, and AU/Non-Canon.

In order to request a thread be marked "Canon", you must request the tag from admins. This is to avoid accidentally mismarking a thread or mismarking a thread in bad faith.

Private threads should list participants. Those not listed should ask the thread starter for an invitation first if they'd like to join the thread.

Canon Threads will be held to a higher standard of quality and realism than AU/Non-Canon threads, in order to maintain a cohesive narrative.

Questions and Answers:

Q: Are Duplicates allowed? A: Yes and no. For "Canon Threads", there is only 1 version of each canon muse allowed server-wide. However, there is no limit on duplicates in "AU/Non-Canon" threads.

Q: How many characters am I allowed to play? A: Currently, we want to limit Origin and Companion Canon muses to one per person. There is no limit on Tavs/OCs, characters from other franchises translated into BG3 (from anime series, live action shows, video games, etc), or non-Companion canon characters (such as Cazador, Raphael, Scratch, Thorm, Orin, Gortash, Orpheus, etc).

Q: Am I required to play a character infected with an Illithid/Mind Flayer parasite? A: No. In fact, we encourage that some not be.

I don't have a personal blog but if I make one I will update here, but if not then feel free to ask me anything too!

Remember that there is a real person behind the blog. I have work and life responsibilities that may mean I don't get to things super quickly. Feel free to nudge me once because I am forgetful but no more than that.

I'm open to NSFW topics but when it comes to sexual content, I ask that our characters have gotten to know each other a bit first and also that we fade to black.

I also won't answer or RP any of these topics with anons either because of this.

Other types of NSFW such as gore, violence etc... are allowed. Just make sure to tag anything appropriately so people can avoid it!

― EXPERIENCE / HOW MANY YEARS? I started when I was 10, so I'm 30 now. 20 years. I went from Neopets -> Gaiaonline -> Tumblr. I wrote as Thrax from Osmosis Jones, V from V for Vendetta, King Candybug from Wreck it Ralph, Oogie Boogie, Scarecrow and Professor Pyg from the Batman Series, Courtney and Ghetsis from Pokemon, Nnoitra Gilga and Mayuri Kurotsuchi from Bleach, Savage Opress and General Greivous from Star Wars, Pitch Black from Rise of the Guardians, Davy Jones from POTC, Gantu from Lilo and Stitch, Randall Boggs from Monsters Inc. I'm sure there's others but those were my main. However, Rick Sanchez has persisted and I've kept him throughout 10 years. Currently on private servers I write Gortash from Baldur's Gate 3 with a friend. I'm TRYING to convince my friend to write an OC so I can ship them with the Ghoul from Fallout. My resume is long. But again, Rick Sanchez for better or for worse persists.

― FLUFF, ANGST, OR SMUT? All three.

― PLOTS OR MEMES? Both are good. Memes are a great way to get the ball rolling, but plots can also provide more structure. I like a balance between the two.

― LONG OR SHORT REPLIES? A mix. Quality over quantity.

― TIME TO WRITE? 7pm-2am.

― ARE YOU LIKE YOUR MUSE(S)? Rick, yes, I like to have fun like he does. Life is short, fuck it. But I'm not mean or toxic like him. I'm also not very witty like he is. I'm more like Jerry. Isn't that irony to the highest degree. No one knows a Rick better than a Jerry.
