When I saw your ships chart I saw that you, as expected, really love Jing Yuan. HOWEVER THEN I SAW— ….Bailu x Jing Yuan.
Like. Goddamn. There’s a lot of Yanqing x Jing Yuan but I’ve never seen ANYONE publicly declaring they kinda like or consider Bailu x Jing Yuan a ship. I can’t believe you went out and said it OP, you’re so goddamn brave. I applaud you. I truly do.
on a side note, can you elaborate on that? ;3 for science
Its SOOO amusing that after posting that ive gotten like 4 people in my inbox being like YOU..... (/pos ) lmaooo I'm happy to catch people Happily by surprise with my blatant tastes
I'm glad I'm not the only degenerate on here (͠≖ ͜ʖ͠≖) honestly it's a good ship if you're into the kink. The background JY has with the vidyhadra (forgive my botched spelling i dont rmr it by heart) and specifically the elder vidyhadra gives the ship some nice groundwork honestly. I think it's sweet how he's one of the few who checks up on her and their visits are a positive thing in Bailu's rather constricted life. I can imagine Bailu developing a crush on him because of it and starting to look forward to his visits. There is, of course, the strong age gap, size difference, and power imbalance between them which is very very juicy. While the ship could technically lead into sweet territory and has its tender moments i am definitely projecting a darker side of JY when I'm shipping them. So take that as you will LMAO. Coercion and manipulation is JY's middle name (͠≖ ͜ʖ͠≖)

↳  pairing(s) : various hsr men x gender neutral reader
↳  synopsis : you never realized how pretty your boyfriend was when he was covered in your lipstick kisses.
↳  authors note : THAT TIKTOK TREND DRIVES ME MAD MOSTLY BECAUSE IM JEALOUS !!! i will confess to my sins i wish i could do this with someone pls,, also this is a really cute idea
Tumblr media
DAN HENG stands next to you as you do your makeup, staring at your various little brands of makeup that sit on your desk. As you do your eyeliner, he picks up one of your various colors of lipstick and stares at it. “Pretty shade..” He thought, resisting the urge to put some on his own lips as it was yours and really didn’t wanna possibly ruin it (or look like a fool if he did it wrong.)
You notice this, and a small light bulb pops over your head. “Do you wanna try it?” And you smile as he shyly nods, but there’s a quiet confusion when you take it from his hands and began to apply it to your own lips.
He’s not given a second to process before you begin to kiss his lips, then his cheeks, then his neck and eventually all over his face. You’re giggling to yourself as he stands there and takes it, not complaining but there’s a fluster and red blush all over his cheeks and a tint of it on his ears.
“It’s a perfect shade!” You exclaim, laughing at how red your boyfriend had gotten after that small interaction.
Tumblr media
“JING YUAAAN.” You call for him, the General walking into your room not long after as he sees you, chair facing the door and sitting in front of your mirror with two different lipstick brands in your hand. “I don’t know which one to use..” You frowned, but all he could focus on was the slight smudge of lipstick at the end of your lips.
He falls to his knees due to his height, and you can’t help but notice how pretty he looks from that angle. His golden eyes looking up at you with utter adoration, as a hand reaches out to the corner of your lips to cleanly clean it off with his thumb. “You’ll look pretty with either one, my dear.” He chuckles.
You have no idea what came over you, but you grab his face and just kiss him. Going from his lips to his cheek and to all over his face until you were decorating his soft skin with your lips. Jing Yuan doesn’t protest, in fact he’s laughing in amusement while you do so.
“Guess it was prettier on me if you were so insistent to kiss me.” He hums, pulling you close.
Tumblr media
Your boyfriend was such a pretty sleeper, you loved to lay on top of him as he slept somewhere like the couch and just smile at how peaceful he looked as he slept. One of your favorite activities is softly kissing all over his face. he would always tell you how it brought him peace as he would rest and it was something you were happy to do for him.
One night, after a party, you two were exhausted and wanted to rest. As per usual, the blonde asked if you could kiss him to sleep.
You, completely forgetting you had the smallest bit of lipstick on your lips, was surprised at the lipstick marks all over GEPARD’s face after you sleepily kissed him. “Oops.” You’d softly chuckle, but it didn’t really have you stop. Continuing to use your boyfriend as a canvas for the art of painting his face with your pretty kisses.
Tumblr media
This once, BLADE let you use his lap as a seat as you do your make-up. He’s on his phone as you apply your concealer, humming happily as he doesn’t really mind having you sit on him. He just doesn’t usually do it because he’s a busy man, but for once Kafka let him have a free day since she and Silverwolf were on a side mission that didn’t require his assistance.
“Blade?” You catch his attention, having him look up from his phone as you’re wearing a shade of lipstick he was unfamiliar with. “Did you buy a new one?” He asks, and you nod in response. “Mhm.” You answered, but he steals a kiss before you could even form a coherent response after that. “Ah-”
You stare at the small smudge that got on his lips, seeing him chuckle and your heart racing at the sight. “You should kiss me again. You picked a good color.” He says with a smirk, pulling you closer to him by the waist as you were never really one to refuse your boyfriend.
He doesn’t care about the potential embarrassment that could come from going to meet Kafka with all your marks all over him, he simply shrugs off the laughter coming from her as Silverwolf was simply disgusted.

Trial exams are gonna start soon so I may or may not be active for a few weeks. Anyways these exams remind me of that one night before similar exams a few years ago - I got frightened because I woke up and heard my father yelling at my little sibling, so here's a fic inspired (?) by that
This will be quite similar to my SAGAU "Comfort" fic
----------
Reader's pronouns: they/them
Warnings: implied anxiety / panic attack, cult behaviour
Notes:
1) SAHSR cult AU
2) The Astral Express has a carriage that's used for "connecting" to the reader's world, everyone including the Stellaron Hunters are allowed to enter it as long as they don't start fights in there
------------------------------
Himeko let out a breathy giggle as she watched you sleep.
"Just a few minutes...I'll be back soon..." you had mumbled before falling asleep on your bed with your device still running.
That happened around 2 hours ago.
The red-haired woman sipped at her coffee, sitting on a cushioned chair with a novel on her lap. She would gladly wait till you woke up. For now, she was content with watching over you.
"As much as I want to be able to see Their Grace, it's bad for them if they leave their device on near themselves while sleeping," Natasha said, approaching Himeko and standing behind her.
"I'll see if I can tell them not to do that anymore." Himeko smiled at the doctor.
"They're stirring," Dan Heng reported, gesturing at the hologram. Your brow was scrunched up slightly, and you shifted your grip on your blanket. Faint noises they couldn't place could be heard as your eyes fluttered open and glanced at your device.
"Oh," you said. "Did I make you wait - "
Your sentence was cut off abruptly as a loud yell pierced through the nearly silent carriage. The younger acolytes quickly covered their ears at the sudden noise while the older ones winced.
Apparently you weren't the one who had yelled, as they saw your eyes widen - in shock, fear, some emotion they couldn't describe. You bit down on your lip, pulling your blanket over your head. Your fingers dug into your pillow as you hugged it close and buried your face in it. Himeko swore she saw you quiver ever so slightly. They couldn't see your face, but they could hear your breaths starting to quicken.
"Your Grace?" Jing Yuan stepped closer to the hologram, voicing his concern. You didn't seem to hear him. The glow of your device reflected off something shiny at the corners of your eyes - you were crying.
"Let me try!" With a wave of her hand, Silver Wolf summoned a digital screen and began to type on it rapidly. Crackles of static rang out in tandem with your breaths. After a few minutes, Silver Wolf finally stopped and nodded her head.
"We can talk to them now."
----------
You squeezed your eyes shut, feeling tears escaping them and trickling down your cheeks, dampening your pillowcase. A crackle of static caught your attention - was it from your device? Or was it your imagination? But then you heard a familiar voice say,
"We can talk to them now."
You lifted your tear-stained face and propped yourself up on your elbows to look at said device. You saw Jing Yuan, Himeko and Silver Wolf staring back at you. Several other characters could be seen in the background, including Dan Heng, Natasha, Bailu and Serval.
"Jing...Yuan...?" You choked out a sob.
"Yes, Your Grace, it's me," he said. "Do you want to talk?"
Your hands shot to your ears to block out another yell. The closed door still wasn't enough. A hurt look flashed across Jing Yuan's face - he'd probably assumed that you didn't want to hear his voice right now - before turning into realisation.
"Sorry," you apologised.
"It's alright, Your Grace," he replied. "I understand. Your comfort is most important."
"Your Grace." Natasha showed up on the screen. "Breathe according to my voice, okay? One, two, three..."
You forced yourself to breathe in deeply, then exhale slowly. A few more tries and you could feel that you were calming down.
"Thank you...Natasha..." you managed to say. Now that your breaths had become even, the tears you were trying your best to hold back flooded your eyes.
"You can cry, Your Grace," Bailu said. The camera had tilted downwards to show the Vidyadhara healer. "You can cry for as long as you like."
You buried your face in your pillow once more, sobbing quietly into it. Jing Yuan and the others said nothing, just watched silently as you cried your heart out. After what felt like half an hour, you raised your head to look at your device.
"Sorry," you said, biting back a sob.
"You don't have to apologise, Your Grace," Dan Heng insisted. "Besides, there's nothing to apologise for. Are you feeling better now?"
You nodded in response, slumping onto your bed to lie on your back. Now that your tears had finally run dry, fatigue started to creep into your mind. You yawned and rubbed a hand across your face.
"Are you feeling sleepy, Your Grace?" This voice was unmistakably Serval's. You nodded again, too tired to reply verbally. You device emitted the soft, soothing tune of a lullaby as Serval hummed gently.
Before you slipped into unconsciousness, you heard one last sentence from your device.
"Sweet dreams, Your Grace."
----------
Everything seemed so surreal the next morning.
You logged into the game, but couldn't find any place on the Astral Express or the planets that looked like the background shown last night.
All of the characters were still in their original spots, and as usual, they would only face the model of your vessel character when approached - never the screen.
You had assumed that it was all a dream.
But it wasn't.
Give us a little more time, Your Grace, and we'll bring you to our world, away from that thing (or anything else) which caused you pain.
------------------------------
I've only ever gone through this once so I don't know if it even is considered a panic / anxiety attack ;^^ I've checked the symptoms of both online and some of mine are similar to them but I'm still not sure, hence the "implied" in the warning.

Hii, how was your day? I wonder if you could make a platonic yandere xianzhou with the characters you want(but I like to include Jing Yuan or Yanqing) with qiqi!reader. If this make you feel incomfortable don't hesitate to tell me or block me. Take care of yourself!!
My day is great, thanks for asking😀
Trigger Warning: Yandere, Obsessive behaviour, Possessive behaviour, Kidnapping
Jing Yuan: He is at first concerned, are you an expermient of sanctus medicus. He follows you around to see if you're safe to have around people. He sees you stretching and forgetting all kinds of things, he thinks you are pretty cute.
He decides to take you to his home, make sure you are safe. Jing Yuan repeats his name to you every day so you can remember him. He just finds you so cute, you are like a stress reliever.
"I have had a stressful day, come make me feel better"
Yanqing: WHY ARE YOU SO CUTE, Instantaneously becomes an overprotective brother to you, he teaches you sword skills so you can defend yourself, even if you forget them most of the time, he does not care, he likes spending time with you.
Does not like when you talk to others, your big brother is here, ignore those vermin. Will not try to help you with your memory, Yanqing finds it easier if you just forget who you were talking to, no one deserves you, not even he himself.
"Why were you talking to them, isn't your big brother enough"
Bailu: You interest her, you are somehow staying alive after death without an aeons help. She wants to study you and understand how this works. Somewhere along the way she started seeing you as a friend instead of something that can help advance her medical knowledge.
Bailu gets worried alot about you, you forget alot of things, even her sometimes. She gives you a dairy so you can write down things before you forget. Bailu also likes to hug you, it feels nice and cold. Just don't try to leave her, the vidyadhara can be quite... Possessive.
"Where are you going, it's better if you just stay here with me"
Was this what you had in mind🤔

𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐬𝐭 - 𝐘𝐚𝐧𝐪𝐢𝐧𝐠
-> In which it takes a talking and diagnosis for Yanqing to realize he was more than capable of having a crush. (1.1k words) (req by @xx-yanqing-anonymous-xx )
Cw) oblivious dork yanqing and guiding father figure jing yuan agenda
18+ DNI! Yanqing is explicitly stated to be around 14-16 in his character story, and I am not comfortable with adults reading romantic content with a minor.
Tumblr media
"General, I think I need to see a healer."
Jing Yuan halted in his movements, carefully turning his head towards the young lieutenant. Besides the stern expression plastered on his face, Yanqing looked like his usual self. There wasn't a sign of illness in sight.
"Is there something wrong? You aren't pale..." The General gently brushed the younger's bangs upwards, placing the back of his hand on the blonde's forehead. "And you're body temperature is perfectly fine."
"It's not noticeable on the outside, General!" Yanqing blurted, the same stern expression displayed on his features. "I think I'm cursed..."
Jing Yuan only stared at the boy. Cursed? While it's not a common occurrence on the Luofu in the slightest, he wouldn't be all that surprised. Higher ranking Cloud Knights are always more widely known, and therefore more sought offer with more malicious intentions by criminals.
And Yanqing was a lieutenant, after all.
"And just what makes you believe that, Yanqing?" The elder inquired. He always believed Yanqing, but in this case, he wondered if the boy was exaggerating a personal feeling. It wouldn't be entirely out of character.
"It's (Name)! Whenever I'm near them, my heart rate increases and my face gets real hot! It's uncomfortable, and I can only imagine it being some sort of curse, right?"
The General deadpanned.
"What's with that face! General, you've gotta believe me!" Yanqing blatted, stern expression replaced with a comical irritated face.
"Oh Yanqing, have you ever heard of the phrase 'having a crush'?"
'Having a crush? Having a... crush?' He thought to himself curiously. It was a phrase he's heard of. Many times, in fact. On nearly every patrol he'd pass different groups of teenage girls talking amongst themselves, the words "your crush?" or "the one I like" getting thrown around once or twice.
But weren't 'crushes' meant for non Cloud Knights? Not once has he heard a single knight discuss their love life. At least, not on the job. The lieutenant simply chucked simple matters such as love aside.
Maybe if love came in the shape of a sword he'd pay more mind to it.
"I think this 'curse' of yours are merely romantic feelings for (Name). That's not something to be ashamed of, no?" Jing Yuan reasoned with the boy, only making the young lieutenant scoff in response.
"And just what would you know about love, General?" Yanqing interrogated teasingly. To no avail, Jing Yuan only brushed his inquires off. "Why don't you go visit (Name)? See if that 'curse' of yours is still intact." The General teased back, something Yanqing didn't brush off.
"You know what? I will! Thanks for the help, General. But I'm sure I'm not experiencing a crush." The Cloud Knight Lieutenant muttered the last part under his breath, feeling a tad bit rude for telling the General he was wrong. Jing Yuan waved him off, resuming his paperwork.
"The General told me it was a 'crush...' but I'm still sure this is a curse. Bailu, is there anything you can do about this?"
The small healer never experienced a patient like this.
Most of her patients came to her for a diagnosis of something they didn't know of. If the diagnosis was something serious, it wasn't out of the ordinary for a patient to be in denial for a moment. But with time, they come to accept their condition.
Yet this boy was a whole other story.
Yanqing would prefer hearing he was cursed rather than the (much better) alternative; having a crush.
"I'm sorry, there's nothing I can do for you." Bailu declared, ready to send the blonde out and call in her next patient.
"But wait! Are you sure? My heart beating that fast can't be normal, right? Aren't there any prescriptions for that?" Question after question... Bailu was getting quite fed up. "Well, there's nothing I can do... but..."
"But?" Yanqing asked enthusiastically
"There's something you could do."
Yanqing didn't know who to blame for his current situation.
One of the Luofu's greatest healers, or the Cloud Knight General. Whosever's fault it is, he knew they were only partially to blame. No matter how much he refutes any blame, he knew deep down this was partially his own fault.
Yes, it was Yanqing's own fault he stood dressed in his finest attire, with a bouquet of roses in hand.
Who was the bouquet meant for?
"Yanqing?" Your familiar voice called out. He didn't have to turn to know it was you, not anymore, at least.
The blood that rushed to his face, his heartbeat gradually speeding up, there was only one person on the entire Luofu that had that kind affect on him.
"Make sure to let them know how you feel while your at it!"
"You want a diagnosis so badly? I'll give you one. I diagnosis you with the fattest crush known to The Xianzhou Luofu. Will that do?"
The words the lieutenant previously deafened replayed in his mind, now louder than ever.
He'd resort to calling these feelings a 'curse' just to run from his feelings. He's not sure why he was so adamant about avoiding these feelings. Because now that you're mere feet away from him, he finally began to appreciate the fuzzy feeling you gave him.
Because while he can run from his feelings all he wants, he could never run from you.
"I- well... I have something I wanna tell you." He started slowly, trying to find the right words. You stood there patiently, and Yanqing could feel his face growing warmer and warmer and his heartbeat faster and faster. "You see, I..."
"I really like you, (Name)! I really really like you. Will you go out with me?" He held his head low and pushed the bouquet of roses forward, in front of you. Your lack of response was worrisome, so worrisome in fact that the blonde considered running again.
"I'll answer you if you look at me, Yanqing." You calmly requested, seemingly unbothered. The lieutenant slowly lifted his head, locking eyes with you after a few seconds. "If you're gonna say that kind of thing, at least look a little more confident."
You carefully took the bouquet from his hands, holding it gently to your torso. "I like you too, Yanqing. I really really like you too, actually." Your imitation of him made him chuckle.
He looked ethereal under the beaming sun, the light highlighting his features was almost too perfect.
It was so perfect in fact, you couldn't help but place a sweet kiss on his cheek.
"So, who put you up to this, boyfriend." You teased, gesturing to the almost fancy attire he wore. He was still in shock from the kiss, of course. Calling him your boyfriend on top of that was certainly not helping his situation.
"Ah- well, it's a long story... lover?"

So… I did jingliu’s companion mission…
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
you’re telling me that the only thing that’s been keeping this woman alive is hatred and a promise she made to someone she loved like eons ago… and that the reincarnation of that same woman who she made the promise to told her that she could cure her mental turmoil if only she let herself rid of the torments of the past, and jingliu was like “nope, my pain is the only thing that’s keeping the memory of my loved one alive, so I shall bare it till the stars go dark” TO HER FACE. And then proceded to tell her that even though she couldn’t physically do anything to aid her illness, just by being near her once again, she healed more than any medicine could’ve ever done.
So, she’s doomed by immortality to live her life infinitely with the grief of the loss of the one she loved + the loss of her own sanity, and the guilt of the deeds made whilst she wasn’t lucid in her own body. Believing herself a sinner and a criminal, with no memories of the good times, all stolen by her own mind- with only hatred left towards the people that she once called her friends. A revenge that could never be fulfilled by her own blade. So, she seeks for one last final respite before being locked away at last, to serve her due. She tries one final time to draw blood, to diminish, to sever- to grant a favor, to end a life. And throughout that last display of violence she gets, once again, to see a flash of the face that she had missed so dearly, of a soul she once loved that until then had been stored amongst forgotten phantoms of what once was. In the end neither of them get what they sought. Either way, they are doomed to keep trying still, for eternity. To hate each other. To mourn. To hate themselves, to punish themselves, to punish each other. To kill. To die. To be reborn, yet again, with the same weight on their shoulders and a feeble mind that’s just on the verge of collapse. Sick and tired. Forever.

WE WERE ONCE ONE
part!1: Prologue
Content Warning!: Angst, Fluff?, gn!reader, unhealthy obsessions, graphic depictions of violence (rarely), trauma, spoilers!, (Some of the lore here is accurate cuz i did my research😡) Note: The reader is part of the high cloud quintet- and is also a long life species. So they are vulnerable to mara- but Bailu helps in keeping it suppressed. They still have some amount of control on themselves.
Tumblr media
🌘 🦁 🐉 ❤️‍🩹 💀
When the high cloud quintet broke apart years ago, you isolated yourself away from people- only ever paying attention to the new found creation made by Dan Feng: Bailu. She was so clever, so smart and so much like him. It seemed as if he had pulled a part of his loving personality and inserted it all into her.
Nevertheless, you adored her. She was like your own child, a sibling, a friend, a companion. She had won the hearts of many people, being a healer that is- but. There will always be those who never let of the past. She was still a sin committed by Dan Feng, a being who shouldn't exist.
You often visited the statue of the once honored Vidhyadara Prince at Scalegorge Waterscape, where the Dragon palace was located. You would place flower, bouquets- even certain trinkets at the edge of the statue, and pray for his wellbeing. For you wondered, no- you knew he was alive. He was somewhere out there, and he would return for you someday.
It was an unhealthy obsession of yours, letting yourself completely depend upon the thought that Dan Feng will come back for you. He hadn't been killed- he had just been banished. And despite knowing that his memories had been wiped out after rebirth- your reason for living was purely based on the fact that he was alive.
Bailu had told you so many times, let go of him. Even if he does come back he wouldn't have a clue of what's going on, let alone be allowed to enter the loufu. However much you tried- you always returned to him. No- not him, but his memory. You sobbed lonely into the nights, often being comforted by Bailu herself.
Jing Yuan had become general, he had attempted to visit you- comfort you, assure you that not all is lost. He used to be your best friend, the one you could always rely on after Dan Feng when thinsg went wrong. But you detested him now, you wouldn't speak to him or look at him. It was all his fault- his his his.
"Will you not pull so hard-?!" Bailu asked with a pout, you were so absorbed in your thoughts that you completely forgot about brushing bailu's hair. "I'm sorry.." You mumbled with a gentle smile, your grip on her hair softened and you brushed it with love. "Hehe, you bimbo/himbo!" She giggled as she looked up at you. You giggled in return. "Stay still, unless you wanna end up looking like a lion."
Yes, your life could have been called stable. But it lacked what you most desired, your deepest- most wanted desires. They weren't dark- but they were impossible. And you would spend your entire life waiting for them to be fulfilled.

48 hours.
✧ jing yuan x gn!reader
✧ synopsis: did time always pass this slowly before?
✧ word count: 3.5k
✧ contents: established relationship, mentions of other characters, fluff, angst, hurt/comfort, spoilers for the 1.2 main story! + a very sorry attempt of writing angst lmfao
✧ a/n: i better see my man waking up from the best sleep he's ever had next update, i ain't accepting anything else. but until then you guys will get whatever this is because Jing Yuan is literally the definition of sleeping beauty throughout 90% of this piece.
Tumblr media
The smell of seawater is prominent the closer you get to the statue of the former high elder. The waves seemingly roaring their praises for the Vidyadhara male before you who once again parted them to reveal a palace buried beneath them.
You're still able to see the waves crash down onto the shore, the force of the impact so harsh that your shoes are drenched.
The troops behind you seem to be in awe, whispering amongst themselves as you make your way up the stairs. Fu Xuan seems to notice you almost immediately, to which you give a curt bow before looking over to Jing Yuan whose hardened expression seem to soften slightly upon seeing you, "General, the reinforcements you've requested are here," you relay, glancing behind you to gesture the other Cloud Knights to position themselves behind the two that was behind Fu Xuan.
"Splendid, Lady Fu?" Jing Yuan turns his attention back to Fu Xuan who straightens up a bit, your eyes sweep over the people behind him. The trailblazer and their companions either giving you a curt nod or an energetic wave upon seeing your attention on them. Only one male diverts his attention elsewhere when his eyes locked upon yours. You can however see him give you a curt nod when he glanced back at you, "Remain here - lead the Cloud Knights in defense of this passage. We must prevent further incidents."
Your eyebrows furrow, but before you can utter a sound Fu Xuan takes a step before you in alarm, "Jing Yuan- General, are you planning on facing Phantylia alone?"
Your mind blanks the moment you notice what he's planning to do, but as the plan has already come this far any complaints you would have would fall on deaf ears. You can merely bite back your words and look away from him - Jing Yuan does take notice of this, but he has no time to console you, merely sparing you an apologetic glance as if that would lessen the sudden reveal of his plans.
You only turn your attention back towards the stairways leading down once you start to hear bustling around you, already noticing Fu Xuan address some Cloud Knights - but she does glance at you and cock her head to the side towards the retreating group with a small smile.
Almost as if saying: "We never know what might happen, say what you want to say now instead of regretting it later."
He's walking considerably slower than the rest of the party, and you let out a scoff at how he even predicted this, "Jing Yuan." you call out, and your lover turns around with the same easygoing smile he always gave you whether it was during a meeting at the Divine Foresight, on the training grounds of the Cloud Knights as he sparred with Yanqing or at the comfort at your own private quarters.
But he doesn't move from his spot - "Yes?" he asks softly, foregoing the petnames he usually addreses with you, a silent hint as to what sort of situation the two of you find yourself in.
"... I expect you to return safely to your troops, general." you merely say, before mouthing silently: "And to me."
Jing Yuan doesn't give you a nod, he merely laughs with a smile before turning around and descending down the stairs.
The next time you saw him, he was being carried by Dan Heng, not even conscious to hear your call for him.
HOUR 3
It took an hour to haul him to to Miss Bailu's place, the smaller vidyadhara's eyes widening upon seeing his unconscious self being carred by another Vidyadhara of all things.
And as much as you wanted to stay by him, there were more immediate pressing matters to handle. You had practically begged the high elder to take care of him, sputtering whatever you were informed before Bailu were forced to sit you down to make you relax.
You were offered a cup of her herbal tea before you continued on your way, taking one last glance at Jing Yuans' resting form before you rushed out to take care of your home in his stead.
HOUR 12
The ink brush in your hand is barely moving at this point, the tip of the hair dipped with the ink having made an extended black dot on the paper scroll you were currently writing on. You glanced over to the side from your place at the desk, watching with rapt attention Jing Yuans' chest falling up and down - an indicator that he was alive and breathing.
You're pretty sure you've observed his condition more than you have gotten any work done in the past few hours. The intial plan was to go the Divine Foresight to take care of the duties that would be left behind with the abscence of the General personally because at that point you would be easily accesible to the public. But just after an hour or two, Qingzu had contacted Fu Xuan to inform her that you were in no right mind to currently focus.
Thus you were tasked to stay home or work from the room where Jing Yuan was resting by Bailu's clinic - Fu Xuan had merely parroted back what Bailu had said to her which was to let Jing Yuan wake up on his own terms, he didn't seem to be affected too strongly by Phantylia's attempt to turn him into a voidranger, and Bailu was currently in the process of finding out more.
"You wouldn't want him to wake up to the entirety of Xianzhou and yourself in disarray do you? If anything the moment he does he would sure wish he was back asleep," she had tried to joke, to which you only responded with a dry laugh.
You glanced towards the clock again, you don't know how many times you've done it, 7:28 AM. it had gone 9 hours since? Why did it feel like it had gone days?
You let out a sigh, settling yourself to sit beside Jing Yuan and brushing a hand through his hair, "How come you even made me forget the concept of time for us?" you mutter. 9 hours was usually nothing for you - nor for him. 9 hours was a lot for a short-lived species, but for you, it was just 9 hours.
It was just supposed to be a few hours.
So how did 9 hours suddenly feel a lot longer?
HOUR 24
There's a quiet knock at the door that jolts you awake, the sudden sound amidst the quiet room makes you jump from your seat at the desk, your knee colliding with the surface underneath the desk.
It doesn't hurt of course, but the person behind the door can hear your quiet curse, "Come in, Yanqing," you utter a few minutes after, and when he opens the door he's met with scene of ink spilled all over the desk and dripping down the floor.
"... Lady Bailu wouldn't be very happy about that mess, you know?"
You merely dropped a handful of paper towels down on the floor and set the ink bottle straight again, taking a seat by the bed and gesturing for Yanqing to settle on the floor in front of you. The boy doesn't utter a word as he passed you the bandages and first aid kit he had gotten from one of the attendants.
"You know you don't have to come all the way here to just get your wounds dressed up, right?" You remind the lieutenant, but at the back of your mind you're well aware the reason why Yanqing keeps coming back, "But thank you."
A couple of minutes pass like that, Yanqing kneeled on the floor as you set up everything, the distant tick-tock of the clock reverberating by the lieutenant ears.
"It doesn't hurt as much anymore, right?" you ask while undressing the bandages currently adorning his head, "It never hurt at all, who do you take me for, [Name]?!" he scoffed, crossing his arms and turning his head to the side harshly - immediately regretting said decision with a pained whimper.
You chuckle, brushing out his hair before starting to wrap the bandages around his head again, "You and that idiot really like to throw yourselves head first into danger, hmm?" you muse quietly, Yanqing's posture immediately stiffening at the mention of the general still unconscious beside you.
"He's not mad, is he?" Yanqing asks quietly after you've tied a knot, leaning his head back to stare at you. The mere question makes you laugh even more, "He was already aware of what you were planning to do, he could never be severely disappointed in you," the response made the younger boy let out a sigh of relief.
"... Are you mad at him?" Yanqing asks in the end, the boy having already made himself comfortable against you, twisting his body to lean his arms on your left thigh. Propping his chin on his arms that rests against your thigh, he takes a long look at Jing Yuan before directing his gaze back to you. He patiently waits for your response, but you can only blink back at him in wonder before your gaze turns towards Jing Yuan.
... Were you angry?
HOUR 32
"You're not gonna rot in this room with him of all things, [Name]." is the first thing Fu Xuan says the moment she slams the door open. You are for once, not cooped inside the clinic room, but outside by the balcony staring down at the Xianzhou people go on about their day with a cup of herbal tea in your hand, merely giving her a glance with a raised eyebrow.
"I'm very much not rotting inside there, Lady Fu. Bailu wouldn't let me either. Please give me a bit more credit than that," you say with a sigh, placing the cup of tea down in front of her before taking a seat opposite of her, "I'm just concerned is all, is there any news from Lady Bailu?" you question, the divination commissioner shaking her head, "Other than her confirming that the general should really just be deeply asleep, she hasn't found anything yet. But he did take a lot of wounds and hits during that fight from what I was informed, it's amazing there's nothing more than that."
A moment of silence passes, the only sound is the clinking of ice cubes against your glass while you swirled the tea around.
"That's the thing."
"Pardon?"
" There should be something more happening to him than just being bedridden needing a nap! He was almost turned into a voidranger of all things, Fu Xuan!" you shout, the fragile composure that you had so desperately tried to hold up cracking in just a few hours. The divination commissioners' eyes widening in surprise at the sudden outburst.
If the past you could've seen the state you were in now, they would've laughed at you. Even now you find yourself pathethic. Because it is pathethic, you've been through worse situations that lasted for weeks, months and even decades.
But somehow, seeing your beloved in such a position and unable to do anything when you usually were able to just cracks down on every purpose and belief you've held yourself to.
"He didn't want help, he didn't ask for help when he had the chance! He went into that battle expecting to not come back alive at all, but with purpose to bring that ravager down with him! And of course he would, it's Jing Yuan! He will lay down his entire soul and being, his life to protect the Xianzhou through another crisis - just like every other problem that could've risen to a crisis in the past centuries!" you cry, Fu Xuan can see that even with the outburst you're still trying to keep yourself sane, your knuckles turning white from gripping the corners of the table before you.
"The only thing I shouldn't have to worry about is when he's going to wake up, Fu Xuan. That worry shouldn't have to be my only concern with his condition," you mutter in the end. A few minutes pass by in silence, not because Fu Xuan didn't know what to say - moreso because she was aware that you weren't looking for comfort.
So she lets the few minutes pass before you raise your head with a smile. It's a smile she is well aware is forced: "Why don't we take a stroll outside then? I think Bailu would jump in joy if she sees me out of the room too."
HOUR 45
Fu Xuan realized how efficient you truly were whenever you didn't have to appease a touch starved general. A glance at the desk when she first arrived to drag you out showed her results of your hard work under 24 hours which was the finished and marked scrolls that was supposed to be sent to her - in addition to more "trivial" paperwork left behind at the Divine Foresight.
No wonder Marshal Hua was reluctant to let you go when Jing Yuan had first proposed to you.
And Fu Xuan will be damned to let said general also be your downfall.
So for the next 13 hours after that, you were somehow visited by numerous people who were in need of some minor help - that be the trailblazer looking immensely out of place as they asked you for some obvious facts about the luofu to Yanqing dragging you out to the training grounds to finally have a chance to spar with you again.
That girl really can't show concern in the normal way, can she?
A futile attempt to relieve your mind of endless worry - but an attempt nonetheless which makes a soft smile graze your lips. You sent a quick message to Qingzu to send a few Cloud Knights to guard the perimeter of the house before heading out the door once again.
If you knew the Cloud Knights well enough, they would already be running over - and sure enough you were greeted by enthusiastic greetings by them after merely taking a few steps away from the porch.
Fu Xuan merely gave you a deadpanned look when you arrived at the Divination Commission, "What, weren't you the one who wanted to distract me from worrying so much?" you asked with a grin.
"Yes, but I meant it in a way to relax your body and mind, not overwork yourself to exhaustion."
"Just humor me this once, Lady Fu."
Fu Xuan huffed, turned around while nagging at you. She didn't comment on the way you were clenching your fist so tightly that blood seeped out from where your fingernails were digging into your palm.
Love truly was a dangerous feeling.
HOUR 48
Jing Yuan felt like his whole body was underwater. It was hard to move, and even harder trying to open his eyes. There's a dull ache spreading through every vein in his body - a feeling he had gotten used to thanks to numerous battles, but with so many centuries of peace he was not liking how taxing it truly was.
Blinking his eyes open, he was met with an unfamiliar ceiling, but inside an environment that he was somewhat familiar with whenever he felt like skipping work.
Trying to heave himself up proved harder than normal, the man letting out a groan as he supported both hands on the bed to drag himself up to a sitting position.
He was covered in fresh bandages, so either Bailu or another attendant must've been inside a few hours before to change them. One look around the room gave him a rough idea on what has been going on.
It's been roughly 2 days since the battle with Phantylia, the new addition to the desk by the corner piled with scrolls and textbooks indicate that you've been by his side ever since he came back.
And lastly, although his whole body is hurting and moving even a muscle sends shockwaves of pain through his body, he was still very much alive.
"Bailu I've already been chased around for 13 hours to prevent from being inside there, I just want a break. No it's fine I don't need a bed I'll just sit by the balcony again - yes I'll call you if I need anything, don't worry. Really it's fine -" The fake cheer in your voice immediately stops up when you turn your head away from Bailu and into the room, but instead of being seen with the same scenery as you've gotten used to in the past 48 hours, you're staring straight into Jing Yuan's open eyes - the man himself only cocking his head to the side with a smile.
"Good afternoon, dear."
He can tell Bailu has already hightailed away to grab her things, which leaves him alone with you. You, who hasn't even moved a single muscle since locking eyes with him. Jing Yuan can see your mouth move in attempt to say something and that the hand on the door handle is trembling slightly.
"... What, you're not happy to see me?" he tries to joke, but the moment he sees your eyes flicker from surprise to anger he knew it was a bad joke to tell, "I'm sorry-"
"Sorry? You're sorry?!" you seethe through clenched teeth, still having enough rationality to not yell inside of a clinic of all things, even closing the door gently before marching into the room.
You don't even reach out to him, and Jing Yuan doesn't have the energy to reach out for you.
"You sure weren't sorry when you kept all of those plans to yourself and walked down that staircase with half a mind of not returning," you point out, and Jing Yuan can only give you the same easygoing smile he gave you that very same day.
"... Why? Why is at the most crucial moments that you want to do everything alone? Why won't you lean onto someone for once, why must you do everything in secrecy but at the same time be so open?" you question, every worry and fear just pouring and Jing Yuan let's you speak.
And even when his whole body hurts, he reaches out to gently grab your wrist to pull you down to sit by the bedside. He's aware that you could've easily stood your ground, because he's much too weak to actually force you to do anything.
And yet you're so pliant, sitting down close enough for him to wrap his arms around your waist and rest his head against your shoulder, "... 48 hours isn't a long time for our people," you breathe softly after a moment of silence, "But those 48 hours where you didn't even turn around one single time nor make a single movement? It was almost the worst 48 hours I've experienced so far."
"And I hate it, why have I let you reduce me to something so vulnerable and I can't do anything about it?! Why have you gone against everything you first promised to me?!" Your voice is gradually getting louder, but Jing Yuan doesn't comment on it.
"I'm sorry," he mutters again, and you only scoff, "You're not sorry, I know you're not. If something like this happened again I know you would do the exact same thing."
You know him too well, and that's what also scares him in the end.
Because if you weren't so high on emotions right now and just took a moment to think, you would realize that if you were in the same battlefield as him things would not go as smoothly - to either one of you.
It was better for him to be alone right then and there - because if Phantylia had even seen one weakness from him of all people it would've reduced the already slim chances of them winning that battle to zero.
If Phantylia had even decided to target you, he knew he wouldn't be able to keep his rationality inside - because you have him wrapped around your finger more than you realize.
Every regret and painful memory he has experienced have started to pale when he compares to every joyful moment you've given him. So if you were to perish in that fight for him and for the Xianzhou? Jing Yuan would've truly lost against the battle of time.
He's selfish, for once he wants to be selfish because he's chosen to not be in every waking moment of his life - so he wants to be selfish this once and rather take a gamble with his life than toy with yours.
"I'm sorry," he whispers once again, a hand reaching out to cup your cheek, the general chuckling when he feels a stray tear his his thumb. He leans back to watch you, a guilty look crossing his features at your slightly reddened eyes.
And yet you're glaring at him in anger, but Jing Yuan is so relieved that you're still there with him.
So he leans in with no hesitation, pecking the corner of your eyes while whispering that he's sorry after every peck, his thumb pushing down on your lower lip to stop you from biting your lips so harshly, "I truly am," he whispers, silencing the bubbling sobs coming from your lips with his own.
He is sorry. And he hates the thought of you hurting, because both of you had gone through enough. But he would rather that you go through 48 hours of pure torment for him than taking the risk of losing you completely.
His love for you is selfish like that, because if he wasn't selfish he would be too vulnerable.

from me, the moon
Pairing: Jing Yuan x Reader Warnings: hanahaki, angst!, implies happy ending though dw i'm not feeling THAT cruel tonight, mentions of death (no actual death) Word Count: ~2.4k A/N: spirit waking up from a nap after a midterm: omg hanahaki with jing yuan!!
Tumblr media
To you, the sun,
You feel it before you realize it has struck you. That feeling in your chest that has begun to blossom when you're in the presence of the Jing Yuan. You become acutely aware of the way your heart thunders when he's near, the way you quiet down when he laughs to hear him, and the horrifying realization that yes, you are in love with him.
I would like to apologize in advance.
But honestly, who isn't? Who wouldn't fall in love with such a gentle soul dedicated to protecting those he loves. The sacrifices he's made for the Xianzhou Luofu are found in the warm smiles, greetings, and gifts that he receives from the people. He's effortlessly handsome, with his hair pulled back, but not enough to keep some of his hair from falling in front of his eyes. It feels like a privilege to get a glimpse of those eyes of his, pools of melted gold that soften when they fall upon those who hold a special place in his heart. you wonder what it would be like to be on the receiving end of such a look.
In the privacy of your own home, you allow yourself a moment of indulgence, to live in the fantasy of walking at his side, listening to the hum that builds from his chest as he nods along to what you would say. You imagine what it would be like to trace your hands along his skin, to cup his cheeks and turn him to face you so you can memorize his features. you wonder what it would feel like to feel his hands wander, if he could be as gentle with you as the way he holds the birds that seem to gravitate towards him.
I’m sure you’re upset, and you have every right to be. But I’ve made my bed, and it’s my time to lie in it.
Flower petals, splattered with droplets of blood, make their appearance for the first time that day.
I’m sorry.
An ancient curse, is what Bailu calls it, fixing you with a concerned stare. You can only laugh dryly at your luck, of course it would be you to have come down with some ancient curse that has caused you to cough out petals. You keep it to yourself, cradle half-bloodied flowers in your hands as you make excuses as to why you can’t join your friends for lunch, or why you can’t spend a morning to spar or play chess with the General. The less they know the better. (Right?)
Individual petals become clumps, and the clumps become half-made flowers. And by the time that the ever-attentive general decides to confront you about the sudden change in your behaviour, you're close to coughing out full flowers.
"Are you alright?" Jing Yuan asks as you sit across from him, cup of tea in your hands as you sit with your eyes closed, reveling in the warmth of your drink and that of his presence. "I haven't seen you around much. you're not avoiding me, are you?" Despite the chuckle that falls from his lips as he finishes speaking, you can still hear the hints of worry that he fails to hide. You suppose that's the result of knowing him for so long, the result of loving him for so long.
I wish I had the courage to admit it to you in person.
"I wouldn't be here if I was avoiding you," you hum, opening your eyes to meet his. Your chest tightens when you see the concern in his eyes seem to melt away. The last thing you want is to worry him, and you hope that your attempt at banter will at least deter him for the meanwhile. but Jing Yuan is quiet, more so than usual. He spends longer studying you, making you squirm under his watchful gaze until you chide him for thinking too much.
"Well, I can tell something's on your mind, Strale for your thoughts?" he wants to know what's going on in your mind. He's not stupid, and is far too attentive to the way you seem to keep yourself at bay, holding your tongue and sipping tea as if it would keep you from speaking.
Funny how you called me the bravest you knew, and yet the one time when I should have come clean, I couldn’t bring myself to say anything.
"I think I might be stricken with mara." Out of the corner of your eyes you see him stiffen. You look down at the steam that curls from your cup, caressing your face as if knowing that the man next to you wouldn't do the same.
Forceful laughter is pushed from his lips. “Don’t play jokes on me, dear. Have you come down with a cold? I know some of the Cloud Knights are out sick because of some bug that has gone around. You must have caught it when we sparred with them.” Your silence gnaws at Jing Yuan, and he can feel anxiety bubbling in his chest. It begins to grow when you turn away from him to take a breath. He watches, almost in slow motion, as you set your cup aside and look at him.
Thank you, Jing Yuan, for being my friend.
There is acceptance in your eyes, and Jing Yuan’s mouth goes dry. “Are you certain? Have you been diagnosed by a doctor? I can call for my doctor, I’m sure it’s not mara-struck—”
“Jing Yuan. There’s no other explanation,” neither of you can tell if the softness of your tone is an attempt to comfort yourself or him. His palms feel sweaty, the lump in his throat lodged so that words fail to come forth. He doesn’t like the way you say his name like this. It doesn’t roll off your tongue the way it usually does, and he finds himself grasping at anything to urge you to tell him that you might be wrong.
His desk becomes stacked with papers and reports about the mara-struck. The archivists watch as he spends longer nights conducting research, hair slipping from its hold as for the first time in years, the great General of the Xianzhou Luofu begins to lose a grasp on his composure. He calls upon Fu Xuan to divine what she can, and yet the grimace on her face paired with her admittance that the future is too foggy for her to divine makes his heart drop.
I have loved you longer than you could imagine. Thank you for allowing me to be at your side for as long as I did. I will treasure these memories forever, no matter where I am.
He finds himself alone in his room, head in his hands as he sits at his desk. Your medical reports, handed to him by your own hands, are missing something. There’s something you’re hiding from him and he needs to know what it is. For the first time, he begins to doubt the words you’ve said to him. You’ve had no reason to lie to him thus far, so why does it feel like you’re trying to hide something serious.
He lets the anxiety fester before finally, Yanqing is the one who forces him to his feet to find the only doctor he hadn’t visited yet. Jing Yuan watches as Yanqing lets his own worries and fears come spilling out and he realizes how much your condition has affected others. He chides himself for selfishly thinking that he was the only one trying to find a cure for your illness.
“They’re growing weaker,” Yanqing bites the inside of his cheek. “I went to visit them but I didn’t see any signs of Mara on their skin. But the Vidyadhara doctor, Bailu, was there. She gave me this letter and asked me to give it to you. She left in a hurry, but maybe we can ask her about them, right General?” There’s hope in the boy’s tone as if he too, was trying to grasp at anything to make sense of sudden fall to this illness. So clearly, a visit to the energetic doctor is next.
By this time, I’m sure you’ve uncovered the truth. The extent of my lies can only extend so far. I’m sure Bailu has spoken to you already. Be kind to her, will you?
“Mara? No, who told you that? That’s ridiculous, have you seen them? Didn’t they tell you?” Bailu stares up at him, unimpressed. “It’s Hanahaki. Surely you’ve heard of it, well, perhaps you haven’t. There’s no recorded cure. They told you all this, right?”
“They told me it was Mara,” Jing Yuan feels like he’s out of breath. He isn’t sure what to feel, the mix of emotions closing in on him. He wants to be upset with you and yet he can’t understand why you had been so bent on lying to his face. Not just him, but to Yanqing, to Yukong, to everyone else for the sake of what?
“It’s an ancient curse,” Bailu shakes her head.
Ancient curse. The words ring in his head. He figures the expressions on his and Yanqing’s faces are enough to give away their confusion. And he can only feel his chest tighten and tighten as he listens to Bailu explain the first time you came to her, tears building in the corner of your eyes, hands cupped to your chest and flecks of blood splattered on your palms. He listens as Bailu explains how you begged her not to say anything, that you would be the one to admit the truth. He listens as he hears of how your condition seemed to grow worse, day by day. He reads the medical reports that the Vidyadhara solemnly gives him and becomes acutely aware of his own shaky breath. He recognizes the days when you had gone to visit him, indulged in his requests to soak up the warmth of the sun as he put aside his work or to share stories over tea and a game of chess. The same days that you visited him are the same days that you came to Bailu.
Please, my dear, don’t blame yourself for my own faults. You have been nothing but supportive, caring, and kind. There is nothing more that I can ask of you other than you take care of yourself, please?
Jing Yuan knows loss better than anyone. He has faced loss in his own family and has watched as close friends and comrades have lost their lives on the battlefield. He knows of sacrifice, of that gut wrenching feeling when you are faced with the hard truth. He knows the feeling of defeat when he fights his master, initially hesitant in his blows before he gives into fate. The sight of his master’s thankful smile, a last moment of clarity breaks his heart. He knows of all these heartbreaking feelings, the same ones that have built up his walls, guarded his heart thus far and led him to become the Arbiter-General of the Xianzhou Luofu. The scars that litter his body are a result of hundreds of years of training, of hard-won battles and choking defeats, so really, there is nothing that can shake his resolve after all that he's been through. He isn’t sure what’s worse: how easily he believed your lies, or the reality of this sickness that you’ve come down with.
I’m sure all will be well. Don’t forget about me or I’ll haunt your dreams! (Stop falling asleep while you’re at work okay?)
He wants to yell, to go back in time and push harder for you to tell him the truth. He curses this long life that he has been cursed with. Because your time is fleeting, so quickly slipping from his grasp and he will live longer to live. He hates to imagine what it might be like when—
Visit me one last time, please?
He indulges in your request, shedding all armour and weapons at the door. He visits you with nothing but his jumble of emotions. To bring you flowers as a get-well-soon gift would be too cruel. But perhaps it’s more cruel for you to invite him over.
He hates the way you smile at him so warmly, that knowing look in your eyes prying through ivy ridden gates into his mind. You know what he wants to say, and when he sits down at your bedside and wraps his hand around yours, you squeeze gently.
“I’m sorry,” his voice breaks. You look at him curiously, about to tell him to stop apologizing, that he has nothing, and will never have anything to apologize for when it comes to you. But you stop when you catch sight of his eyes, watery golden pools that beg you to stay. He can’t get the words out but in the silence, there is more than enough said.
All my love.
(I love you, he thinks to himself. He closes his eyes and brings your knuckles to his lips, pressing a lingering kiss that he hopes will say enough. He doesn’t catch the way your eyes start to clear up and the way you gasp softly.)
From me, the moon.

╭₊˚ ๑︰hsr men & their love language
Tumblr media
:★: relationship : various hsr men x g-neutral reader
:★: warnings : none! fluff
:★: a/n : SO CUTE i love getting reqs like this!! lets me write super quick and simple stuff yipeeee >.< school starts soon .. uh ohhh
Tumblr media
DAN HENG's love language is simple, quality time. Whether it's quietly reading books together, leaning on his shoulder to rest or small little dates here and there.. he's just happy to be with you. It gives him a sense of comfort and when you're gone it's like he's longing to go home. You make him feel like he has a place in this galaxy, like he's home.
JING YUAN tends to be stressed here and there, with so much to handle as a General - who wouldn't start cracking under the pressure every now and then? So he really appreciates whenever you do small acts of service for him. Giving him a head massage, getting him tea and doing all the little things you know he needs. It warms his heart that you rememeber and take note of these things to take care of him.
It was surprising to you that BLADE enjoyed physical touch. Maybe he was so used to loneliness, being immortal isn't exactly easy, but you made it feel like he was human. He doesn't know how to put it into words, but you make him want to live just to be with you. Having you in his arms gives him a purpose he didn't know he could have.
Words of affirmation was definitely GEPARD's strong suit if anyone had to guess. On days where you feel sad or insecure, Gepard has always been there to tell you all the things you need to hear. Whatever you've been feeling for the past couple of days, a small talk with him won't fix it - but it would at the very least help. You know he's an honest man, a very kind one at heart. He'd never tell you what wasn't true, and everything he affirms about you is nothing less but how he truly sees you.
CAELUS isn't saying he's rich, but the extravegant gifts you find at your door every single day without fail speaks alot of volumes, and that his love language is gift giving. It is not always the case that people love to buy gifts are shallow or only have their materialistic gifts to prove their love.. Caelus just loves to spoil you. He'll take you out on many dates, spend hours of time with you and show you that he cares but it's clear he loves to spend for you. Any little trinket that reminds you of him? He gets it for you immediately. You could definitely fill a whole shelf of things that he's bought for you.

this man is ruining my life. somehow this is 1.6k.
minors and ageless blogs dni. you will be blocked.
jing yuan x f!reader, pwp, sex pollen/aphrodisiac, unprotected sex.
Tumblr media
you stare at jing yuan.
he meets your gaze, the corner of his lips flickering up, a guttering candle flame.
"you were what?"
"poisoned," he says cheerfully. "lady bailu confirmed it."
"so you decided to die in my foyer?"
"apparently it's mild."
"what a shame."
"so cruel."
"why are you here, jing yuan?" you ask.
"ah," he says. "it appears that the poison has...a few side effects. there's a possibility that i could be compromised."
you tilt your head. "compromised?"
"i am rather susceptible to certain stimuli at the moment. there's a possibility that—in the correct circumstances—i could give away a few things that should not be divulged."
you study him. he stays smiling, but he shifts in place minutely. he's flushed, a pale pink the color of the dawn in two spots high on his cheeks, and there's a thin layer of sweat gathering at his temples. it's starting to darken his hair to the deeper silver of the artificial moon.
"jing yuan," you say slowly. "what, exactly, are the side effects?"
"similar to a strong aphrodisiac."
"similar? or exactly like one?"
he huffs out a laugh, but it's strained. "astute as always," he says. "exactly like one."
you can't help but glance down.
he's hard.
heat suffuses your cheeks, burns hot like a supernova. you look back up at him immediately. his golden eyes are gleaming, his pupils dilating, a black hole devouring the sun.
shameless, you think.
"what do you want from me?" you ask bluntly.
"nothing untoward. just your company."
"i'm not sure i believe you."
"i just need to be with someone who won't take advantage," he says. "and i don't want to expose yanqing to this."
you sigh. "fine," you say, beckoning him deeper into your house. "come on."
the two of you settle in your living room. jing yuan sighs, closing his eyes and tilting his head back into the cushions, exposing the long line of his throat. the sweat is beading more heavily at his brow now, shining in the afternoon light, and you gnaw at your lower lip.
you pick your book back up as his breath evens out, his broad chest rising and falling with it. his brow furrows more deeply; the set of his lips looks pained.
you put your book down.
"does it—"
"it's merely uncomfortable," he says, cracking open an eye. "please don't worry about it."
you chew on your lip again. "there has to be something i can do."
he pauses for a moment. "i don't want to ask something of you that you're not willing to give."
"you won't know until you ask."
"i'd like to hold you," he says, shifting slightly. "nothing more."
it stokes the heat in your cheeks; they feel like they're on fire, burning merrily. the usual tease in his voice is gone. somehow, it bares something in you, flays you open. your traitorous heart flutters.
without a word, you stand. jing yuan raises his head, watching with interest as you cross to him. you stand in front of him for a moment, dithering like a moth, before you sink down next to him.
it takes a moment to settle into a comfortable position, but you end up with his arms wound around you as you lean back against his broad chest. you're not quite in his lap, but you're close.
he presses his cheek against you. "thank you," he says, his voice rumbling through you.
"don't mention it," you say, cheeks still suffused with heat. "really. please don't."
he chuckles, arms tightening around you. "shouldn't i be the one embarrassed?"
"nothing ever embarrasses you."
he laughs outright at that. you squirm as the sound vibrates through you; it sends a gust of damp, hot air against the sensitive shell of your ear. jing yuan is warm against you, the gentle heat of sunbaked stones, and you're not immune to the hard press of his body against you.
you shift again, settling back against him further. you take in a sharp breath as his cock—now pressed flush against the small of your back—twitches. his arms tighten around you as his breath hitches. his fingers sink into the softness of you before he lets go.
"perhaps this was a bad idea," he says, sounding strained. you're not sure he knows that one of his thumbs is stroking along the waistband of your pants, just shy of the skin beneath.
"maybe," you agree, voice breathy.
he shifts; it brings you entirely into his lap. you take a deep breath.
"tell me to stop," he murmurs, pressing close and nipping at the shell of your ear. his cock throbs against you.
you take hold of one of his big hands. you bring it up to your breast; it takes only the slightest flex of your fingers for him to cup it, his palm brushing against your hardening nipple.
"i don't want to," you admit.
he squeezes at your tit. it sends sparks skittering up your nerves. he slides his hand down and plucks at your nipple. the sensation is blunted by your shirt, but it arrows through you anyway.
"i'll struggle to control myself," he warns, his other hand sneaking between your legs to palm your dampening cunt. it presses the seam of your pants against you. you chase the feeling with a roll of your hips.
"good," you say, and that's all it takes for the world to spin as he flips you beneath him, pinning you down against the couch as he slips between your legs. you lift your hips to press up against his cock, and he groans before dipping down to kiss you.
he's soft with you for a breath, and then he devours you, all teeth and tongue, spit starting to drip messily down your chin. he shoves your shirt up over your tits and tugs down the cups of your bra until your breasts spill out.
before you can even protest the rough treatment of your favorite bra, he's ducking down to close his hot mouth around a nipple. you hiss out a breath and feel him grin against your skin. he suckles until your nipple is peaked and hard, occasionally grazing his teeth against the soft skin that surrounds it.
you fist a hand in his fluffy hair. he groans as you tug at it, his hands scrambling at the fastening of your pants. he nips at you until you raise your hips for him, letting him push down your pants until they're tangled around your ankles.
he's on you again in an instant, kissing you with deep intent, stealing your breath away, as if it wasn't his already. one big hand slips between your legs to cup your cunt.
jing yuan drags his fingers over the damp spot on your underwear. "this wet for me?" he asks.
"says the one who was hard when he showed up at my doorstep."
"true," he says, and then he descends to your tits again, sucking and biting until you're arching up into him with breathy little whines.
he pushes aside your underwear and sinks one big finger into you. you flutter around the intrusion and he curses under his breath before biting hard between your breasts, making you yelp. he pushes another finger into you almost immediately.
you tug at his hair again and he moans against your skin, the rich sound vibrating through you. your voice breaks on his name as he sinks a third finger into you, thrusting hard and curling his fingers until he finds your sweet spot, making you spasm around him.
"so good," he breathes. "so good for me, that's it."
he kisses you as he pulls his fingers out; you can feel him undoing his belt and then his pants, his knuckles brushing against you.
and then he's in you, and you sink your fingers into his back from the stretch, from the way he opens you so well on his cock.
"jing yuan!"
"you can take it," he soothes, brushing a gentle kiss against your lips even as he snaps his hips in a devastating thrust. the embers of your pleasure begin to spark into a fire, start to run hot through your veins.
he kisses you harshly as he starts to fuck you hard, each long stroke reaching deeply enough in you to make you keen. he presses down on you with each roll of his hips, pinning you completely, until all you can do is take him.
he sinks his teeth into the junction of your neck and shoulder when you tug at his hair again. you mewl at the lightning strike of pain, but it melts away into heat, stoking the fire burning inside you.
you gasp as he fucks you without abandon, each thrust of his hips heavy, bullying inside of you. one of his hands drops to your clit and your voice breaks on his name.
he grates out your name when he cums, his diligent fingers circling harder on your clit until you're shuddering with it, heat racing through you like a forest fire, leaving ashes in its wake, like a landscape forever altered.
when your orgasm fades away, jing yuan kisses you softly. he teases at your lips with his tongue; nips at your lower lip until you bite back. then he rolls his hips again, and your breath catches.
he hasn't softened at all.
he gazes down at you, sweat-soaked, his pupils dilated until there's just a thin rim of gold around them, the sunrise against the horizon.
he fucks in and out of you until you hiss at the way it sparks down your nerves like lightning, pleasure kissed with pain.
"can you keep going?" he asks, drawing his tongue up the line of your jaw. you tighten around him.
"yes," you say, and his eyes flash with something predatory.
"good," he purrs. "because i'm not sated yet."

Thank you so much for the part 2 of the sanctus medicus storyline. I love it so much!!!😆
Expanding on it more. You mentioned that Bailu would be the one taking care of the reader through her medicine. Bailu sees Banxia in you and she sees the clear distress you’re in when your with either Jing yuan anr Yanqing. She even witnessed Yanqing suffocating you with his very tight hugs. Reader pleads and downrights begs bailu to save them and take them away from here. Bailu may not have been able to save banxia but she will save you.. she must. So cue platonic yandere bailu sneaking reader out and escaping to the only place she thinks that is safe and out of Jing Yuan’s control.. the astral express, she may have even been helped by Tingyun as the skyscriff acassador to avoid Jing Yuan cloud knights.
But Jing Yuan is very meticulous as soon as he sees you not where you supposed too he puts the whole xianzhou on lock down and orders every single Cloud Knight to track you down even going to as far as use the Diviner to track down your location and retrieve you himself. Yanqing is downright pissed at Bailu for her betrayal.. he will hunt you back down and eliminate any “threats” that gets in his way.
Its a race against time.. you and bailu (maybe even Yandere tingyun) hastily hiding and running from the cloud knights hoping to board the Astral express and get the heck out of there while Jing Yuan and Yanqing are fast approaching willing to get rid of anyone that get in their way.
-Thank you for reading and I am really grateful for answering my past requests. I just love your writing and the recent post just gave me inspiration!
I will admit, tears fell in Bailu's companion quest😭
Trigger Warning: Yandere, Obsessive behaviour, Possessive behaviour
Bailu was scared of them, they threatened her to take care of you, to give you treatment. The more time she spends with you, the more you remind her of Banxia. You are not a raplacement but the resemblance is enough for a connection to grow, and that connection turns into an obsession.
Bailu believes it is her mission to not only cure you, but to also save you from Yanqing and Jing Yuan, she gets help from Tingyun, it was not cheap but it was worth it. She helps you onboard the astral express and sits besides you, finally she has saved you.
But Yanqing and Jing Yuan was not happy, this was a betrayal of the highest degree, they were supposed to keep you safe, but now they can't. Bailu gets a wanted poster, she is a criminal of the Xianzhou Luofo, they will make sure to get you back, no matter how long and no matter how many corpses.
"They can't get you here on the astral express, don't worry, you're safe with me"
Well, was this what you imagined, I'm curious🤔

Imagine Mom! Reader Taking Care of Baby! Bailu with Daddy! Jing Yuan
Found Family: Mommy! Reader x Daddy! Jing Yuan + Brother ! Yanqing & Baby Sister! Bailu
Dan Feng! Twin Sister! Reader Comforts Jing Yuan & Takes Care of Baby! Bailu
Imagine: General Jing Yuan & Reader Take care of Baby Bailu after Abundance war incident
Tumblr media
+ Takes Charge after Dan Feng Incite Rebellion & Steals Immortality
I keep thinking Jing yuan as young awkward still fumbling gaining his confidence as captain of the cloud knight when Jing Liu has the mara overtake her and so he comes home crying & Reader comforts him.
Then The incident where Dan Feng rebelled and Jing Yuan now older comforts Reader who is Dan Feng’s sister so it’s her family that is being charged for crimes.
Also, after that incident Baby! Bailu is found by Jing Yuan and he and reader decide to raise her as Bailu is what is left of the quintet.
Maybe later also adopt Yanqing as Jing Yuans apprentices who become Bailu’s brother figure o they family with Mommy ! Reader. Daddy Jing Yuan, brother ! Yanqing, and Baby Sister! Bailu
Yanqing the big bro excited for kid sister but be the type to fumble and almost drop the baby the first time he holds her o_o!
Drabble Platonic! Caretaker Reader x Bailu
Imagine: Bailu’s purple hair and eyes resembled Baiheng so she was named Bailu in memory of Baiheng
“As vidyhadyra we cannot bear children and yet I find myself raising & teaching baby Bailu….” mused caretaker reader as she rocked baby Bailu to sleep.
Tumblr media
Imagine: Caretaker! Reader is a Sucker for Bailu’s puppy eyes.
“Please just one more treat” wheedled Bailu on excursion with Y/N as they played hooky from lessons one day.
Bailu’s tail swings happily and big baby eyes watering to which Y/N relents with sigh
“Okay but only one more too much sugar isn’t good for you”
“Jing Yuan can you take care of Bailu , Thanks!” Y/N drops off a sugar high baby! Bailu on poor Jing Yuan as he did to her a week prior.
Perhaps it is revenge for when he stuck her with babysitting Bailu on her during work where Bailu ate all the papers and caused kid chaos.
Bailu Character Introspection
Bailu found her calling as healer in the alchemy commission on her own and cares very much about doing a good job as it’s her own ability separate from the high elder title though the high elder power is what allows her to heal
The high elder Postion lost a lot of power when Dan Feng rebelled
Bailu is monitored for her safety & to keep her from running away. Also to see if she rebels like he predecessor, and because assassination attempts were made questioning her legitimacy as high elder.
Bailu stunted her growth or does not appear older as she fears growing up taking high elder role for fear of judgement by the high elders
For the Marastruck fic, Platonic Yandere! Bailu is afraid Y/N might leave her, stop being mother/sister figure , or reincarnate to leave her behind if she is no longer a ‘baby’ or ‘kid’ she has to take care of. So, stays in a younger form so Y/N is forced to keep her current position as she promised she wouldn’t leave until Bailu grew up…but Bailu is stunting her growth so Y/n won’t leave.
Tumblr media
Bailu & Teacher! Reader Interactions
-Buys bailu stuff she wants like snacks on their excursion and take her where she wants to go
- babysit bailu basically and makes sure her curiosity doesn’t get the best of her
- Y/N: Once helped  Bailu get out of a Alchemy furnace that Bailu fell into from leaning in too far to see in
- Y/N Prefers being called sister because mom feels old
Y/N totally give out mommy Himeko vibes and worries for bailu
Y/N is intensely worried for Bailu whenever she goes missing
Panics like a mother who lost her kid in the mall and said kid is just hiding behind the clothes hangers out of sight and think it is funny
Y/N is afraid of assassination attempts as they happened when Bailu was baby . Jing Yuan helped stop one of them. And also, due to losing the past high elder due to his past sins.
Y/N has Bodyguard and shadow habits to guard the high elder and feels  partly responsibly for Bailu and sees her as what is left of quintet.
Tiger Mom ! Reader!
Bit of tiger mom wants Bailu to study and show she is good elder as Y/N is under pressure by elder to make Bailu a good elder
Also so that Bailu can take on the high elder work she had been doing when Bailu wasn’t old enough to do it.
Y/N raised Bailu as a baby and taught her high elder politics & everything but cloud hymn magic .
Y/N Worries about Bailu Like a Mom
Y/n just wants Bailu to successfully succeed high elder for Bailu’s own safety & Security on and for the loufu
She wants Bailu to do it while Y/N has political power so she can retire without worrying
She is worried that the High Elder position doesn’t have enough power to protect Bailu
Her worst fear is that giving Bailu less freedon might lead to a similar situation with Dan feng that lead to rebellion against the loufu and forced her to cast judgment on him
Outside the Lines Y/N Helping Bailu Politically
Y/N Tried to give Bailu freedom through outdoor lessons and playing hooky sometimes with her from lessons
Tried to get Bailu allies & friends through introducing Yanqing and Sushang to Bailu
Elders dissuaded the high elder from forming connection since the quintet being a suspected as the reason why Dan Feng rebelled & sought immortality for his friends.
Y/N volleyed to be a teacher/guide to form a close relationship with Bailu promising to keep her on right path
To get the role as baby Bailu’s teacher/caretaker Y/N was forced to cast judgment on Dan Feng and execute molting rebirth to prove her loyalty to the loufu as she was suspected as his sister to be involved in the incident where rebelled and made one of his friend immortal but Y/N was not involved.
Y/N with Jing Yuan secretly tried to help Bailu build enough power so she can make new friends and remake the High elder role to be freer from the constraint of studies & the job

Bailu & Y/N Saw each other Less when Bailu became Head of Alchemy Commission
When Bailu was older and could be influenced the Elder had Y/N separate from Bailu for fear she might influence Bailu with her connection as Dan Feng’s sister
Y/N had other work such as rebuilding to keep her loufu kept her busy and Bail role as healer dragon lady led to her working in the alchemy commission
Y/N also has another job as judge of the ten commissions that keeps her busy so when Bailu got older she couldn’t be Bailu’s maid or caretaker anymore.
