not really sure how it's fetishizing judaism to say i mickey had gotten to explore a connection with jewish culture. the show fucks up representing so many minority groups and only uses jewishness as a punchline after terrys death so yeah i do like the idea of maybe some genuine representation. when i called myself an admirer i meant ive been considering converting for many years, not as somebody who finds judaism ~cool~ or whatever. the only reason i even had the gall to talk about it is because ive been "actual jews" in the fandom previously discuss mickey being jewish by patrilineal descent. i don't have some fantasy world where i make up a fun lil version of judaism to imagine blorbos in, i want to be in my local jewish community to learn and understand all of the customs and culture and religion. but i cant do that right now because i live in a homogenous rural area with family that would kick me out and cut me off if i began the conversion process, so i haven't been able to get the exposure i need and i have to rely on the voices of jews on online platforms rather than in-person. im sorry if that not always accurate to your personal experiences but i promise im not here to fantasize about some gay jewish version of My Big Fat Greek Wedding im just using my blog as an outlet for my interests, which includes religious, philosophical, and cultural. i want to know specifically why the posts i made are antisemitic fetishism because i seriously don't know

also, i have been getting hate in the fandom for a couple months now. which included disgusting transphobic remarks. for saying that people should research gay sex if they are going to write it in fanfiction. so if you're mad specifically about me making posts regarding judaism, let's stick to that subject. maybe don't justify the hate ive gotten in the past

Swallows. “You know you are.” “You know you are,” he throws back. “You’ve been grinding my fuckin’ gears since day one.” Ian scoffs. “How have I been grinding your gears?” “Fuckin uppity,” Mickey replies. “Stick up the ass and all that. I wasn’t kidding when I said that. You need to smoke more weed.” “I smoke plenty of weed,” Ian replies. “Like. A lot of it.” Mickey snorts. “Somehow I doubt that.”

this was not what i intended to write today, but i got caught up in the mickey x lip best bro-ship madness (thanks to @gardenerian, @baguetteslut, @celestialmickey) and inspired by the @galladrabbles prompt for this week from @flamingbluepanda, and this happened! It is not exactly 100 words long...but it is 6.7 times as long as that, so I feel like that counts?? maybe?? Right?!

anyway, whatever it is, it's here:

They're clearing away after dinner when Lip and Tami show up.

“Where’s the kids?” Lip asks, pulling Ian into a one-armed hug and dropping a couple of knitting patterns on the table with a nod in Mickey’s direction.

“Tory’s room.” Mickey replies, all three of them had piled in there as soon as the last piece of pizza was gone. “Where’s your hair?” 

Self-conscious, Lip scrubs one hand over his very closely-shaven head, a head that had had at least a half a head of hair on it this morning when Mickey had dropped Tory off for the school run. 

“Ah”, Lip ducks his head with that squinting grimace he does, “the guy got a little excited.”

Tami snorts from over by the stove where she is picking pieces of zucchini out of the salad, and Lip shoots her a sharp glare. 

“He found a gray hair.” She announces to the room, seemingly unaware of the daggers Lip is throwing her way. “Had a mid-life crisis in the car this morning, it was a whole big thing.”

“Christ Tami!”

“What? I was gonna ending up telling Ian later after a couple of drinks anyway, and you know he would tell Mickey, I don’t know why you pretend you can keep secrets.” 

Lip rolls his eyes with a huff and skirts around the table to go say hi to the kids. Ian winces with second-hand guilt as he goes. Mickey and Tami just meet each other’s eyes and shrug. 

“You ready to go?” Tami asks Ian, her feet clearly itching in her dancing shoes. His husband nods and gathers his wallet, jacket and keys, giving Mick a peck on the cheek and ushering her out the door. 

It’s a few minutes before Lip emerges from the bedroom, salad’s all boxed up and Mickey’s popped a beer while he puts the last of the dishes away.

He stops at the edge of the kitchen area, hands shoved in his back pockets, and they regard each other for a moment, quiet.

“What’s up Grandpa?” Mickey says eventually, just to cut through the weirdness.  He’s trying to keep it light, he learned nearly a decade ago that shitting on Lip is no fun when it actually makes him feel shitty. 

“Fuck off Mickey.” Lip grumbles, not quite in the pit of despair yet, though clearly sensitive. 

Mickey wonders how he’ll feel, when his time comes. Or Ian’s. If Lip’s there now they can’t be far behind. He’s growing thick wiry hairs in new places and sneezing so loud you could wake his entire army of dead nazi relatives. He’s ageing. They all are. And it’s hard to know how to feel about it.  

They are quiet, and his eyes drift to the box sitting by the balcony doors, delivered yesterday and yet to be opened. Assorted yarn from some dead lady’s knitting stores, he’d paid six bucks for it on ebay without knowing what was in it. That’s the kind of shit he did these days. Old Man Milkovich, buying yarn on the internet to share with his Geriatric Gallagher brother-in-law. If his fifteen year old self could see him now.

“Hey uh, estate sale lucky dip thing got delivered yesterday.” 

“Oh yeah?” Lip looks relieved at the change of topic, and kind of psyched about the yarn, Jesus Christ they’re barely even forty. 

“Wanna look through? Might be some shit you can use for Sockathon or whatever.”

“Yeah cool. Smoke first?” He nods, and they both move in the direction of the balcony, Lip patting his pockets for his smokes. 

Mickey sidles up as they walk and gets a hand on the back of Lip’s head, fucking weird and bristly, he remembers hating Ian’s when he buzzed it in prison. 

“Just try not to get upset if there’s any gray stuff in there.” He jokes, giving Lip’s head a hard shove and dodging away from the shove that comes in return. 

“Suck a dick, Mickey.” 

Later, Mickey thinks, with glee. Later, he's gonna. Lip probably doesn't wanna know though, it is his baby brother's dick after all.

1. This first answer got long lol: I actually have a bunch of pictures cycling through for my computer background right now, so I've been thinking of: fireworks over the Rhine and walking in the Hofgarten, but mostly getting lost on a mountain side not once but twice in two different places.😂

In Koenigswinter I was alone and followed the wrong road and ended up outside the gates of some high security place lmao (was trying to hit up an adorable reptile house halfway down or I would have taken the tram). And in Heidelberg a group of us tried to find a less steep path down in the dark and ended up going around instead, and ended up in a neighborhood where some expats invited us to a house party.

4. This literally just happened lol because my mom sent me some stuff I needed: I am much too excited for toilet paper and tea.😂

Hello and welcome to Mickey's Birthday version of ✨Ficlet Friday✨

“Ohhhh fuuuuuck” Mickey breathes out as his husband gives him a wake-up blow job. Ian looks up at him, beaming, crawls up until they are face to face and says, 

“Happy birthday”.

“Oh fuck off,” the birthday boy replies. 

He turns to pick up his mug of coffee Ian placed on his nightstand. Takes a gulp and it doesn’t manage to hide his smile. 

They eventually shower and start their day.

“You tryin’ to get laid?” Mickey asks as they pulled in to the shooting range.

“Do I really need to try, Mick?” Ian replied. 

He had this day planned for months. Each year that passes, Ian is more and more grateful that Mickey was born, grateful for all they had overcome, together and apart. But now they could indulge, and Ian wasn’t going to let the day go by without doing some of Mickey’s favorite things, so here they were at the range. 

Ian had consulted Ray, their weapons vendor. Ray was above board, ran a legit operation, but still had plenty of Southside underbelly connections to make Mickey trust him. Ray met them at the range with a plethora of shiny new guns and ammo for Mickey to try out. 

Ian can feel the heat of Mickey's stare while he expertly unloads the magazine of an AR-15. 

Later, when they are back at the security office building, putting away their own guns in a large closet that Mickey insists on calling “the weapons room” Ian says he needs to check something in their office. As Mickey walks through the door, Ian grabs his hand and gracefully slips a pair of handcuffs on his wrist, Mickey brings his other wrist willingly, he knows this always ends well for him. "On your knees," Ian growls in his ear. Mickey hits the floor dizzyingly fast. The redhead undoes his belt and jeans, lowers his pants to reveal a pair of white, barely-there boy shorts with a zipper down the front. Mickey looks up and waits and when no move is made, raises his eyebrow in question. “Take it out,” Ian commands with a jut of his chin. Mickey has a brief look of confusion but then promptly opens his mouth and takes the zipper pull in between his teeth. He pulls. 

Back at their apartment, after their second round and what Mickey would describe as Ian’s Top 3 Full Service Top performances, they are on their couch, binging Pawn Stars and heckling Chumlee. Ian brings out the traditional Snickers ice cream cake. They eat straight from the box with two forks.

Mickey looks over at Ian,”you always manage to make me feel good,” he admits to his fire-haired groom. 

“I am really glad you were born, Mick,” he says softly with his signature wide smile.
