So, I'm going to make this a Masterlist of all my Hobbit fics as I write them. I'm also going to attmept to put them in some type of order. Hopefully it's easier for others to anvigate the mess that is my Tumblr lol <3
The Hobbit - All are Bilbo/Thorin unless stated otherwise

A Home, A Pack, A Place of Love (Animal Au)
Summary: Bilbo is a corgi and he has become the guardian of a traumatised little corgi pup. He has to leave their cosy home and hope for the best. For him and Frodo.
Hopefully he will find a ew place to call home, a new family for him and Frodo, hopefully they will thirve.

Summary: Thorin has moved to "The United Kingdoms" with his friends and family.
Follow his life as he ends up an unexpected father, Uncle and husband, and extends his family with wizards, witches, centaurs, goblins and, sadly, elves.
Bilbo stays in Erebor fics:Stop me Fading (Needs major re edtiting)
Summary: Its a few weeks since BOTFA. Bilbos running around like a headless chicken, The Company are being plonkers, Thranduil and Dain are being antagonistic, Bards just a cinnamon roll and Gandalf keeps disappearing for long amounts of time (for good causes of course).
There's one lonely, sad little hobbit on the plains outside of the Lonely Mountain.
Bagginshield-tober (A uncomplete series)
Summary: A series of fics spanning from LakeTown until Bilbo's death. Bilbo stayed in Erebor, this is his and Thorin's life.
Afterlife Fics:

Summary: MCD!! Bilbo sits with a dying Thorin, knowing he will join him. Dead or not, this will not be the last time he seee his beloved.
A Little Drop of Rain
Summary: Thorin holds his dying one in his arms. All he can do is hope he will see him again after his life is over. It was a long life and all Thorin wants is to be reunited with his hobbit.
Defying Death (or at least the ones in charge)
Summary: Bilbo has finally died, and now Lord Mandos wants to shove him away to Lady Yavanna's Green Gardens. Well that wont do. After all, Thorin wont be in Yavanna's gardens and Bilbo wont stay where Thorin isnt.
He's a burglar, and if he can smuggle his dwarves out from under Thranduil's nose, he can smuggle himself into Mahal's Halls under the Valar's noses, right?
Reshirement:
Changeling Child (Mpreg)
Summary: Thanks to his Stone headed nephews, Bilbo now has a new quest. One that needs cleverness and diplomacy. Not the reckless battle tactics of dwarrow. This is the most important quest Bilbo will ever go on, even more imprtant then facing a dragon. For the most important being in his life.
Animal Au's:
A Pasture Too Small for A Bovine’s World so Large
Summary: Bilbo is an odd Highland Bull, so odd that he has had enough and takes Primula, Drogo and baby Frodo to find a new place. A new home.
Thorin and his family are an odd little herd of Bison. An odd herd with room for a few other strange bovines.
Wait for me in the Aurora Bearalis
Summary: Bilbo is a red panda, he had had a good life. He had managed to make it to 64 seasons (16 years) when most red pandas were lucky to make 40 seasons (10 years).
Thorin doesnt want to say goodbye to his little Orso but he has too, hopefully they can find one another in another life.
Ive found Frodo ....and he found you?
Summary: Canine distemper has stolen all of the Bagginses away apart from Bilbo and little Frodo. No he has to find his kit, who has wandered off, again, and keep them safe from "The Sick". If only he wasn't alone doing it.
Bittersweet/hopeful ending:
The Last Meeting (Until Arda is Remade)
Summary: Bilbo is a sad, lonely hobbit in Rivendell. What is left of The Company, his friends, his Family find him there. There are less then there should be.
This is Bilbo's last meeting with the few remaining dwarves he adores. Until they meet again, when the world is remade, hopefully.
Sad Ending:
The Demented King Under the Mountain
Summary: TW MCD, Murder, Thorin did not beat the dragon sickness. Thorin did not defeat the Dragon-sickness and in his rage destroyed the gift he was given to cherish.

Summary: It is time for Bilbo to leave The Shire, he is going to make his way to Erebor, hopefully.
Before that, he makes his way to his oak tree, the last living thing he has that reminds him of Thorin, it is time to say goodbye.

Summary: Bilbo doesnt want it to end, he just wants one more day, one more hour, one more minute with his beloved. He will deny the truth in front of him to get it if he has too.
You Never Cared, Why Start Now?
Summary: It started with the fires burning through Erebor. It will end with the fires burning through Bag End.
The Last Durin Princess returns home (Gen fic, Dis-centric)
Summary: The Last Durin Princess returns home, but home is a tomb. A place with ghosts. With her dead borther and her dead sons.
When home is no longer home, all it is is a place of pain and heart break. What is the last of her line supposed to do? How is she supposed to go on?

Summary: Bilbo is watching the eagles fly overhead in victory. With Thorin's cooling hand in his, Bilbo isnt sure what their is to feel victorious over.

Summary: The Fell Winter wasnt just a time whe hobbits starved, it ws much worse then that. An entire generation of hobbits traumatised.
For one Bilbo Baggins, on a quest with a troop of rude dwarves, the memories become nightmares whilst on the road. Maybe waht he needs is dwarrow hugs off a dwarrow king?
A heart of stone and Fire in his soul
Summary: Thorin is but a ghost of a king, desperate and making stupid choices. Bilbo is a hobbit out of The Shire, trying to find his place. But he needs to keep his daft dwarven king alive to succeed.
The trials and tribulations of a married hobbit (a bowman's persepctive)
Summary: Bard see's a small hobbit amongst a crowd of dwarves clamouring to get on his barge. From that first glimpse he makes a friend, suprised by who his new friend has married. Follow the events from Lake Town until after from Bard's pov.
Far over the Misty Mountains:A hobbit with a heart
Summary: Bilbo's home is suddenly invaded by a troop of dwarves. He would be bad, should be mad, but that song ....
Modern Au's:
"Bring Your Older Gays To Play" at Club Erebor
Summary: Frodo had convinced Bilbo to go the event night at his favourite queer club. All Bilbo wanted to do was go home, back to his books and cup of tea. Well, that was until Mr tall, dark and sexy was pushed into him.
The reason is you, the reason is him, the reason is me (Dwalin/Nori, background Bilbo/Thorin)
Summary: Nori hates himself for the 4 and a half years he spent in prison. For destroying everythig good in his ife. For losing everything he had to live for.
Hes out now and hopefully he can fix his realationships and see his son again.
ABC's of Avoiding Bullying and Crying (Gen fic, The Companny are all young children)
Summary: Thorin is a big grown up 7 year old dwarf. Frerin is a little 5 year old dwarf who is usally bugging Thorin and his friends to play. So why didn't he bother them on this day, and who was he with?
It's a good job I love you!
Summary: Bilbo sees that Thorin has once again forgotten to take the rubbish out, bloody husbands, he thinks exasperated.
LOTR Fics:
Akmâthu Bask:Song of the Bath (Gen Fellowship fic)
Summary: During a bath by the river, Gimli starts singing Bilbo's bath song. Confusing the hobbits. It turns out that isnt the only song of The Hero of Erebor's that they sing in the Lonely Mountain.
Between the forest and the sea, I leave my heart with thee - (Gen fic, Elrond-centric)
Summary: Elrond is set to sail to Valinor to reunite with his wife when he has a vision. How can he leave when his he sees his precious daughter dying alone, her grief clear through time and space?
Two Lives Will Be Spared This Day (Boromir/Theodred)
Summary: Boromir looks into Galadriel's mirror and he doesnt like what he sees. Maybe if he makes a different choice he cna save himslef, and the love of his life.

ye s, well
it basically came to me like a prophet receiving a vision from an angry god. you know. like brian david gilberts video ideas but with more slow burn.
no really i wrote all this down in my phone’s note app because some nearly coherent things popped up in my head every time i was on the train or bus these last few days.
(after-actually-writing-this disclaimer/note: this is 2000 words of slightly edited rambling about Bagginshield in the Afterlife. i had to put it in a read more.)
so the gist of it
the botfa goes just as in the movie with minor details altered. like bilbo kissing thorin just before he dies which inadvertently causes a ripple in time and space that makes the valar curious of them both. you know. minor stuff.
so bilbo goes back to the shire, the war of the ring goes down, and the hobbit/elf gang sails to valinor at the end. classic stuff, not much alternating of universes here.
but here’s where things turn into the “my city now” meme because DUDE DO I HAVE A LOT OF THOUGHTS ABOUT VALINOR AND HOW THE AFTERLIFE WORKS
like, I’m sorry mister jolkien rolkien tolkien, but just putting people into a hall to await being judged like a hospital waiting room? snooze, that’s boring!
so first of all, and you can fight me on this, Yavanna Made The Hobbits And You Can’t Change My Mind.
it just makes sense for her to have been very saddened by the destruction of literally all her work on arda through melkor’s poison, so she made living, growing things that could protect themselves from harm. as opposed to the ents, by the way, which were made by Eru to protect all the other living, growing things. it was a nice gesture of Eru to make those, but not quite what Yavanna wanted or had in mind, i imagine.
as with the dwarves, Eru wasn’t all happy about the existence of another race he didn’t make but you know, whatever, ‘I’ll just let this married couple have their own kids aside from mine, it’s okay’.
so he hands both the dwarves and the hobbits independent thought and free will, but under the condition (and here is where the afterlife stuff comes into play) that Aule and Yavanna be responsible for their mortal creations after their death. meaning that both races have seperate afterlives from the halls of mandos, MEANING THAT ITS COMPLETELY FINE FOR AULE AND YAVANNA TO BE LIKE “oh look honey, these two are so very in love and remind me of us, shan’t we do something about that?”
so. they do something about that.
more precisely, they rearrange their afterlife-realms so they’re next to each other and someone with enough willpower could cross through the barrier. because listen, they’re valar, they can do whatever they want just for kicks.
okay so after that tangent lets get back to the meat of the matter: gay dwarves.
I know not everyone has read Sansukh, a 500k word mammoth of a fic, and I don’t really intend to copy any of det’s canon, but their version of The Halls of Mahal really inspired me.
basically the dwarven afterlife is one big hunk of a mountain/underground city where they’re free to live their days until dagor dagorath doing what they do best in the company of their families and friends; like smithing, crafting, building and other JustDwarrowThings.
meanwhile the hobbit afterlife is Basically The Shire and instead of being given the materials to build things, all the hobbits who go there get to grow plants and do their gardening. they don’t have to- just like none of the dwarves have to craft stuff- since there’s always enough food for everyone, but they are just allowed to do what they do best if they so desire.
now when Bilbo arrived in the undying lands he was still Old As Hell and im sorry to put it this way, he definitely kicked the can after like, a week of living there. not really so undying, them lands, huh.
anyway Bilbo bites the dust and LOOK AT THAT he’s suddenly young again, and another LOOK AT THAT he’s standing in a very comfy, but Not Quite Bag End hobbit hole that has a note hung up on the front door. you wouldn’t think gods could have handwriting but hey, again, they’re gods they can do whatever.
the note just tells him that yavannah made this place special and just for Bilbo but that there’s another home waiting for him. very cryptic there, lady. he doesn’t leave at first because hey, his family is here. there’s a lot of reunions and celebrating and food because its the fucking hobbit afterlife, what else would you expect
it takes him a few days of Regular Hobbit Life in his new home to realise ‘holy shit, this is so boring’ so what does a Fool of a Took do when things get boring and there’s a note urging him to do something?
HE’S GOING ON AN ADVENTURE
so Bilbo runs through the whole not-shire, meeting all sorts of people he outlived on the way (looking at you, Lobelia), as well as some elves. because elves can definitely just waltz through all the afterlives. they can walk on top of snow, you think they wouldn’t walk around wherever they please in valinor? rip to mankind, but they’re different.
he gets to the furthest reaches of it eventually, and lo and behold, what awaits him but the view of a tall mountain, an invisible barrier and a very flustered Thorin who is at his wits end as to how Bilbo even got here.
now for thorin’s part of the story we’ll have to start after the botfa again. he basically woke up in the darkness like an episode of naked and afraid, and started talking to Aule.
his maker, who loves him to bits by the way since he made thorin, just tells him he’s free to go wherever his heart takes him. again with the cryptic messages from the gods.
so thorin, still very self-loathing and bitter because of his actions right before his death, sees this as Mahal’s way of saying ‘please don’t step foot in my halls u disgusting litle creacher’, when really he just meant ‘please do some well deserved self reflecting and then come inside to be with your family, they all miss you terribly’.
after his chat with the maker thorin just spawns in right at the front gate of the mountain and he has a choice to make. go inside or stay outside.
and we all know Thorin’s proclivity for drama so he basically spends LITERAL YEARS just living in self imposed solitary confinement.
oh also tiny hc here, thorin was said to have taken “any work offered to him in the towns of men”, and they showed him in a smithy, but personally I believe they meant it when they said “any kind of work”. so basically thorin is a jack of all trades, master of some. he definitely has master-level skills in certain areas though, enough to build a vaguely hobbit-hole shaped house. why is it hobbit hole shaped?
oh right, the part where Thorin is absolutely enamoured with Bilbo.
"Go back to your books and your armchair, plant your trees, watch them grow. If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world.”- HELLO? GAY POLICE? I’D LIKE TO REPORT A CASE OF ‘DWARF KING REALISING THAT THE HOBBIT WAY OF LIVING IS A REALLY GREAT ONE IN CONCEPT / WISHING HE COULD HAVE HAD THAT KIND OF LIFE WITH BILBO’
anyway it’s a long 80 years until Thorin does get to meet Bilbo again, and in the meantime we have one of my favorite additions to any Hobbit fanfic ever: Frerin
For the uninitiated, Frerin is Thorin’s brother. They also have a sister, Dís, but Tolkien never specified when she died and she was a bit younger than Thorin and Frerin so I reckon she’d still be alive as an old dwarf lady somewhere?
Anyway, Frerin. Oh boy. Sansukh, again, does an excellent job at turning Frerin into a character with a level of authenticity that gets real fucking close to Genuine Tolkien™, so most of my own characterisation of Frerin is based on that in Sansukh. With the important omission of the dwarves not being able to see the present/their still alive loved ones in middle earth through a magic mirror pool.
so Frerin takes it upon himself to leave the mountain in search of his brother because he really does want him back. but also because Mahal has had it with Thorin’s antics and suggests Frerin fetch him so he can finally reunite with his family. Mahal doesn’t talk to the dwarves a lot because he’s like an awkward and distant dad, but he does actually speak to them.
so Thorin is supposed to go see his family, which he does, but not immediately. it takes like, a solid year of just brotherly (and sister-sonly) companionship for him to open up about all his anxieties and regrets and THEN he goes into the mountain to cry in his mother’s lap. as you do.
however Thorin still feels like he doesn’t 100% belong with the other dwarves in there, so he frequently spends long stretches of time outside, building away at his house, thinking about Bilbo. the company goes out to visit him sometimes.
more details on the house tho, cuz it’s Important; it’s built halfway into a hill near the mountain, like a proper hobbit hole would be, but the lower levels are built into stone. look, he’s had 80 years to work on constructing this. it’s near perfect in every way for both hobbit and dwarf standards and could definitely fit the entire company and more inside.
now about the barrier. elves can pass through without a second thought because they’re shiny little bastards who just get to do all the cool stuff, but the other races can’t just hop between realms like that; they really have to muster up the willpower. which usually means they can’t do it because a drawback for both dwarves and hobbits is that they favor isolation from other races even in death, and as such don’t want to mingle with each other.
unless you’re Bilbo Badass Baggins though, who simply runs through the barrier to yell at Thorin for leaving him sad and alone for 80 years. he is that bitch.
there’s gonna be some legolas and gimli shenanigans if i can fit them in (cuz i dont know when exactly they sailed west together), possibly a mention of tauriel because bruh peter jackson did us dirty by not giving her any closure besides ‘lol i guess she’s banished from mirkwood??’ and Mairon. because. I also have some thoughts about him.
also Fili and Kili as pseudo matchmakers because every fic needs that
and did I mention there’s gonna be hozier lyrics for chapter titles

Fandoms: Primarily Hobbit! I do have old works in MCU, OUAT, HP, Arrowverse which I need to finish someday and read Castlevania, DW and Good Omens.
Two-Shot: They have either turned into three-shot or four-shot lol! The only one is in MCU, called Turning Back Time. Other than that it’s all Multi-chapter or One-Shots.
Most popular multi-chapter: When the Sun Rises, I will... I love this story and I have been able to meet some amazing amazing people through this one piece. Coming close is The future sucked, so we are going to change it and maybe when it is finished it might just take over lol!
Actual worst part of writing: The writing itself! There’s a perfect image, the absolutely fitting dialogue, I can see the scenario, smell it, taste it, do everything. But when it comes to putting it down on paper/doc? wHat ArE wOrDs kjdjkdhkewfhk
How you choose your titles: It’s the theme. Whatever the main theme of the story is, it goes in the title. Like, When The Sun Rises and The Sun Sets is essentially about the two idiots declaring their undying love for each other, every moment of the day.
Do you outline: Oh God yes! I always have two docs- one where the whole writing thing is going on and the other where every detail can be found. Sometimes they are in bullet points, other times as random scribbling. Most of the times the outline doc ends up with alternate scenes, some details, some dialogues, and the notes of the upcoming chapter. Because almost all the world are multi-chap, this is what follows. One-shots are usually just me sitting down with a feeling and word-vomiting.
I also have a notebook that is kept aside just for fanfic, with new ideas, outlines for stories that haven’t been published and just some random stuff.
Ideas you probably won’t get to but wouldn’t it be nice: Ummmmmmm, okay here they are:
Dragon! Bilbo AU where Bilbo, Bard and Smaug have a History (Not telling just in case I ever get around to writing this lol)
Modern Day Reincarnation AU with Fiki, Bagginshield and just general Angst
Another Modern Day Reincarnation AU where it’s all fluff and Bilbo has a coffee shop
A series of One-shots of ‘what if the other Durin survived’ with storylines for Thorin, Fili and Kili planned out and a continuation where they meet in the afterlife which is essentially a redoing of Quest of Erebor and it is about all of these three forgiving themselves (it’s super angsty for Thorin and Kili, but for Fili he actually ends up in Shire cause Bilbo dies in his universe and like, he raises Frodo and then joins the Fellowship...I think about this a LOT!)
Fili, Kili, Thorin and Bilbo waking up in an AU where Erebor never fell and some Hobbits settled down on the foothills of Erebor.
Callouts @ yourself: I actually did end up planning the next few chapter of The Sun Sets!!! Which ended up being extremely hard but yaay I did it! I also made sort of goals?? where I roughly plan how many chapter I want each chapter to be and how long it can take to write and publish them so yaaay!
Best writing traits: Dunno...probably my ability to actually plot out multi-chaps and make ELABORATE backstories for many characters? I do that a lot and I love doing that.
(If all goes well I might just write a story which is a lot of backstory of Erebor with Bilbo and get it across!)

I started a timetravel bagginshield au... 👀
Bilbo‘s feet lead him after the dwarf carrying Thorin‘s body inside the mountain, his own body feels too light to be real and he looks back to check if he left it behind on the battlefield and Bilbo is merely the fraction of his own soul yearning to stay with the other half of him. In the end, he is a Halfling after all.
They lay Thorin to rest right next to his father and grandfather, crown on his head and Orcrist between his hands. He stays, long after every dwarf paid their respect to the fallen King and even longer after Thorin‘s nephews and sister turn away. Gandalf once told him he would not be the same Hobbit he was before the journey but oh, was he right. Bilbo is not the Hobbit he was before, nor is he a different one now. He‘s been torn to pieces along the way and has no idea how to put himself back together after this. Perhaps dying on the battlefield would have been better. They would not be reunited in the afterlife either, but perhaps seeing his parents again would soothe the pain a little.
The stones feels cold against Bilbo‘s cheeks, but the tears burn as he finally allows himself to mourn losing Thorin. There is no reason to stay strong any longer, his heartbreaking wails carrying through the whole mountain. It‘s the sound of a simple Hobbit from the Shire losing the other part of himself, his One and the other half of his now completely torn soul.

Hehe, I’ve very rarely labeled it as hurt/comfort but given that I very often write angst fic and very rarely given it a bleak ending, I’d say a huge percentage of my stories fit that label!
(Hurt/comfort has always puzzled me as a label because to me it’s like, “So a... plot????” lol but maybe that’s just because I have a habit of hurting the characters I love for drama to such an extent that I can’t imagine a story without it. Admittedly, I tend to attach myself to hurt characters rather than given them entirely new pain, and then have their S/O work on helping them recover from it.)
Fics of mine that would qualify as hurt/comfort (naming only a few because otherwise it’d just be my entire works lol):
Bagginshield (from longest to shortest, complete unless otherwise noted)
Prayers to Broken Stone - Thorin’s dragon sickness slowly turns him into an actual dragon, there are depression metaphors and much suffering, Bilbo does his best to save him using hobbit practicality to defeat honor-driven melodrama and eldritch horrors.
lay your troubles down - Hurt/comfort is practically in the title. The acorn scene turns into a kiss scene and then some, Bilbo tries to save Thorin from gold sickness via their emotional bond while Thorin’s illness traps him in a nightmarish mental scape (anyone noticing a pattern here? It gets worse.)
Burning Low (WIP) - Thorin’s depression is non-metaphorical, Bilbo tries to save him, the point that no single person can save you from depression but the help of loved ones is a great comfort is made explicit.
When we have shuffled off - Afterlife AU, Bilbo is offered a chance to heal (read: comfort) Thorin in the dwarven afterlife after the Valar reveal he’s locked himself in a personal hell-scape as penance ever since he died. Hobbit practicality and a metaphorical binge-watch of LotR win the day over honor-driven melodramatics.
Shorn - Thorin’s beard trimming routine is revealed to be a dwarven form of self-flagellation over past hurts, Bilbo doesn’t fix it but does help a little, mostly by being clueless about dwarven custom. Hobbit practicality wins the day over honor-driven melodramatics.
All We Are - Thorin reveals his past has been a less-than-honorable one, up to and including his treatment of Bilbo. Bilbo gets a glimpse of Thorin’s past and tries to comfort him over it. Both admit that they feel the other has made them a better person.

miles to go before i sleep - AU to CACW, instead of wandering Europe, Bucky makes a beeline for Steve’s Brooklyn apartment at his invitation and they heal together.
Ack, sorry for taking the opportunity for shameless plugs (I’ve been in a bit of a writing slump lately so it was nice to go back over these for my own sake, admittedly, and laugh a bit at my writerly patterns) As for Hurt/comfort by other people, bring on the delicious delicious angst and healing!
