Maybe have Hollylark be a part of a one kit little, the strange offspring of her mom’s godly powers lol. I think Snap and Fly have adorable names and Fly is interesting for the little part she’s shown before just going away. Them as kittens that ToadLion adopts is my favorite option, maybe their names from something around like Snap named for the snapping jaws of the fox they chased off to get them and Fly after the bugs laying on the two lost kits fur. Idk just a idea

The adoption seems to be the most popular option, and I'm leaning towards it too. It's nice to generally see more non-biokits messing around, plus the Queen's Rights make the perfect framework to have more of it in-universe.

They could have been left in the woods by a human, or been the child of a loner who had stopped while traveling and got attacked by a predator.

#As a side note foxes and badgers are less of a problem in BB but still can be dangerous #They're slightly stronger than a powerfully trained warrior.#But they're not the roaring bellowing kaiju that canon makes them into

#marzi speaks #the clan was prospering. tons of new kits some new couples things were looking up #then BAM. mass extinction event (badger). huge chunk of the clan is dead (INCLUDING THE NEWBORN) half of the clan is grieving #and We Are Down A Medicine Cat #the deputy was widowed :(( poor guy #honestly just glad the lesbians were ok. i think all their kits made it i do not remember #but it was so like. WOAH #anyways. we have since recruited a new medicine cat but she is currently recovering from birth #anywho my cats are all grieving. we have so many apprentices. we are having to take them hunting. it is dangerous #btw the leader is on her last life like 180 moons old and still kicking. ma’am #she lost her gd CHILD the day it was born n she’s just hanging out. no grief or anything just oh well

We wanted to write more about the college trio (Jack, Maddie, Vlad), but we started creating stories that were too distant from Danny Phantom's world... so in the end we ended up moving these three into our story world and turning them into OCs!

found something cool on the beach yesterday. I like to go for night-time walks to clear my head and get a look at the stars, and I'm lucky enough that there's a beach within walking distance (and that it's a pretty safe neighbourhood). so picture four in the morning, less than half a moon but bright for it, high-ish tide, and I've stepped down onto this pebbly seaweedy beach to nudge at what I assumed was a toy pumpkin.

it was reddish orange, about the right size. something odd about the shape though.

and it was metal. bowling-ball sized, with a hole clean through it (no sharp edges, it must have been shaped that way) and impressive scratches that had clearly been painted over. and it was light enough to lift as well as having probably washed up there, so, hollow.

I ended up staring at it for maybe five minutes trying to decide whether to move it, where to (tripping hazard), and whether I wanted to keep it. "things salvaged from ships" is an entire genre of decoration here (pubs are one of the biggest offenders) ((I fucking love it)) and it could look pretty cool with... a rope through it? some sort of knot? a doorstop or a garden decoration?

(to be honest it appealed to my sense of humour that what I normally take home from beaches is stones with holes through them. we get a lot of them, and they're meant to be lucky. and they're easier to store when I'm still dithering over how to use 'em. they make nice gifts sometimes.)

I didn't keep it. but the internet's a cool enough place sometimes that I could search "hollow metal ball washed up on beach" and get an answer - it's a trawler net weight, and I read elsewhere that they do come in different sizes.

and wreck and salvage law is apparently this whole messy thing that may or may not apply - technically yes, but this is probably way too small to bother with, which I think might be an actual legal thing - so if I find one again...

it's not like this happens often, anyway. and I'm just delighted to have been surprised.

#this is the most exciting thing that's happened to me for months so yes you're getting aimless words about it #don't mind me #I've been to a little technically private beach maybe once at night when the lockdown was really getting to me #because it's lovely and secluded and often used by dogwalkers and people having barbecues #but it involves walking along this pretty ratty old wooden walkway with no handrails and. well.#you can crawl but it's not very dignified. worth it at least that once though.#so far the scariest thing on these walks is that the local badgers are utterly stupid and sometimes need multiple verbal warnings #to realise there's a human right there‚ yes‚ there‚ where they're running to at FULL SPEED—#they're scared of humans and theoretically dangerous if startled/cornered and they also look... seriously cuddly up close #foxes at least look like wild animals but badgers look like plushies. just murder plushies.#(I am not that stupid but I do despair a little when I get a good look at one.)#anyway I'm just enjoying being able to spot sirius again. I can identify one (1) star now and by gum am I gonna keep doing it.#sirius says hi <3

i know im like several months late but i finally watched jjk and wow. the shibuya incident arc was just...exhausting to watch. like dont get me wrong, as a viewer i loved the fights (so much variety in scope and scale), and it had some amazing character writing. but as someone who cares for those characters, it was deeply tiring for it to just. never stop. like the tragedy never ended. there were no breaks. it just kept getting worse.

#probably not the first to make this comparison but i instantly thought of the suffering game arc from taz #just like. the constant slog of danger and depression. seeing these beloved heroes trapped in a cycle of pain.#anyways im gonna go read some fluff now. someone shove some satoru x suguru in front of me. surely that will save me.#jjk #jujutsu kaisen #badger post
