I found this cringeworthy cover art for "The Count of Monte Cristo," in which Kirk Douglas' Ned Land from Disney's "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea" has dyed his hair black and finally got his hands on that stupid treasure chest.
I don't know what's going on, but it looks like Edmund Dantés has a whale of a tale to tell; a whale of a tale or two.

Ok, seriously, what the hell is this thing? A very tiny number of Scratch users say it's a mixel, but I don't even see it. It doesn't look Lego-y enough. What makes this thing clash out more to a regular mixel is that it's just as comparable to a minimal sparkledog in color choice and design, and from what I recall mixels have single uniform colors.
I'm just gonna act like I don't know what this is and I'm calling this obnoxious thing a "technobat." Anybody wanna make some art of technobats and make their own characters, lemme know.
Or just make art out of the character above.

This character from Sonic Boom is supposed to be an aardvark.
I know none of the Sonic characters are particularly realistic, but... did the character designers even LOOK at a photo of an aardvark before whipping this up? Did they design the character first and then just decide to call her an aardvark because, hey, the show doesn't have any other aardvark characters?
Like, this character has absolutely none of an aardvark's actual characteristics. The long ears, the long nose... if you asked me what kind of animal this was supposed to be without giving me her name, I'd probably assume it was a fox or something.
I'm sorry, this just really bothers me. Has one of those "bad character designs" blogs on here talked about this character yet?

And for all his own harping about how Medrano can't take criticism and needs to ether get a social media manager or get off social media and keep her mouth shut, Medrano really did need to just keep her mouth shut on this one and take a break from social media this time.
Also, given... some things I just learned last night while watching JayLaws video on Brandon Rogers, Vivienne has absolutely no right to be claiming she's uncomfortable, like oh my god. You hired this man.
I do love her, but next to the Blair White/ Sh0eonhead tribute this is probably the worst tweet she's ever posted and I'm so glad I wasn't there to witness it in real time.
I still love Brandon too but JayLaws video solidified that I'm never buying merch with Blitz on it ever if the whole "Rolling With Robbie" thing wasn't enough to convince me of that compromise already.

Cheese and rice, even the other characters look worse.
Barry looks like a bad Xenoblade character. His comic design is completely abandoned, and sure, he looked like a Ninja Turtle, but it still looked like Flash. Here, there's too much white, not enough red and yellow. It took me a minute to even realize it was supposed to be Barry with how bad the design is. And the zipper Flash insignia to try and make it work is just... embarrassing.
Victor looks like a fucking refrigerator. His design in the comic was fine enough, making him even more machine can be good (if that plays a part in a character arc like ZSJL did). But either get rid of the tank top or pull back on how machine Cyborg is, you can't do both.
Jess is the most acceptable design of the bunch here, and fits pretty well with the early RWBY anesthetic. But even that's not saying much. The belts on her shoulders are tacky beyond vaguely looking like the letter G. It's like RT took a good design, and then added a bunch of unnecessary details to it for no real reason.

To be clear even though I find her base design (as in, body, face, hair) pretty okay, I have my own issues with Ilulu’s design, mainly her ABSOLUTELY GARBAGE WARDROBE
No drip. Bone dry.
The initial outfit with the fur cape? Almost perfect. So awesome. With the big giant claws? Yes please. Until you pan down and. Thong. It’s extremely topheavy and silly looking. It kills the dramatic tension of her first appearance imo
And then her casual outfit is just IRREDEEMABLY ugly. The shitty black sack dress that somehow hugs her body all the time? Hideous. The thigh highs? I can’t believe I’m saying this as a certified thigh high lover, but boring. Passé. And to top it all off, those red shoes… who designed this. I’ll rip their eyes out. And that’s the only splash of color on her design! What the hell! That communicates the OPPOSITE of the kind of person she is! Give her something big, bombastic, memorable, colorful! She’s a chaos dragon for fuck’s sake!
At least her work outfit is okay. I think the cool colors actually work well there to communicate her mellowing out to fit into human society, and they compliment the reds of her eyes and hair well. Still boring, but it’s a work uniform, so what can you do really.

Character idea:
An army staff sergeant who keeps giving his squad members homophobic nicknames.
The twist is that firstly, he's a huge fan of literature and irony.
Fairy really loves doing the washing up (Fairy Liquid dish soap) and Faggot tripped and fell down a hill during exercise and face-planted straight into a tree wrapped in barbed wire ("It's supposed to mean a bundle of sticks wrapped in twine but I'll make do").
And lastly, he's an ally who uses people's knee-jerk reaction to the nicknames to gauge how much of an asshole they are.
If you send through a HR complaint without asking for clarification he likes you because you called him out on his behaviour. If you don't do anything, he assumes that you can't be trusted and warns everyone.

Finished my werewolf sketch-dump on Halloween, just getting around to posting. Point was to loosen up a bit and also push the body horror aspect. Kinda got a little addicted to the fur though. Didn't quite reach what I was aiming for so I may revisit this.
Shout out to @nataliehall, I did draw inspiration from your work. Just to say this is a sketch dump, I'm trying to push my limits in terms of design.
