I hate waiting for zine leftover sales so goddamn much because i know it's 100% my fault that it stresses me out.
Why didn't I Pre-order? Because I was both stupid and sane and thought "I don't need this, i could be using this money for smth important. It always feels bad to wait months for smth i spent near $100 on. But omg i maybe should've just pre-ordered it.
Because now I'm stuck in hell waiting for an announcement but will probably not get anything before it sells out bc ppl become the flash and sell out full and half merch bundles in less than a minute and most physical products in a day.
Why didn't THEY Pre-order? Probably for the same reason i didn't, dont be judgemental.
Anyway, yes i am still petty on missing out on some fanzine bundles and other times I'm glad bc i needed the money at the time.

#an idiot talks#MAN IM JUST PROJECTING SO HARD RN#i have so many thoughts abt them being asian w naturally curly hair in families where everyone else's hair is straight#or the ppl who DO have curly hair either have it v short or they constnatly straighten it#franziska being told by her father that her hair being curly is imperfect#maya never figuring out for years how shes supposed to take care of it that its always so tangled and messy#morgan making rude remarks abt her hair#but then maya learning w mia one day while visiting her in the city that shes been taking care of it wrong and having a hair stylist teach#her how to maintain it and mia constantly buying her products to bring back to kurain and help take care of her hair#and its so much nicer now that she learned how to take care of it#meanwhile franziska taking much longer to learn to properly care for it and spends years just constantly straightening it#spending hundreds of dollars at salons to get it straightened#but then when she hadnt had the time to straighten it her curls start showing and maya comments abt it#and she tells her that her curls look really nice and teaches her how to care for it and they look up stuff that could work for her#fran slowly but surely learning not to see her curls as imperfect and eventually loving her hair as well#*stares at my tags* sometimes franmaya w curly hair can be so personal

Tbh you can tell when I start getting a little too brain rotted by blorbos because I start using first names or nicknames by default.
#this is why i keep fucking calling phoenix Nick#i went to miles instead of Edgeworth at record fucking speed because that man is just every single thing bit of crack for my brain in one#it took like a solid year for me to call Todoroki Shouto but miles it took about 2 weeks of active fandom#just he has it all for my dumb little brain#dead parent. insanely closed off. trauma. deeply self destructive. crazy loyal once you get him to open up.#snarky asshole. absolutely terrible at social cues once he does open up. in love with a himbo/herbo#herbo as a general trend for these characters. i do not think miles as ever looked at a woman#and most importantly and niche of all#trauma specifically related to an abusive parent pushing a very toxic work ethic of vauling them based solely on their field#other notable example are the aforementioned shouto todoroki. Beauregard Lionett and even Artemis fowl going back to childhood#they dont all fit the catagory perfectly but the more they fit the more likely my brain is to latch onto and become very normal about#miles was basically all of them#i think Fran will be too but i havent finished jfa yet and i think the ending will solidify that#but tbh a good enough franmaya fanfic would probably trigger it too

- (younger Edgeworth is more similar w Mia than older Edgeworth because when he's older, he HEALS and is less fucked up)
- younger sibling who they have a complicated relationship with due to their parent and their family name
- pressured to be perfect for their families and stick w the path chosen for them
- both had relatives (Manfred n Morgan) who wanted revenge on them for something that was literally never their fault.
- both left this path and "left" their young sibling behind in that family (this is also really good 4 franmaya comparsions God bless)
Lana and Phoenix
- both ruined their careers due to forged evidence
- both ruined their careers because of manipulation by a man who used their (practically) daughter as a way to get control of them
- they also both masked their emotions for the time this was happening and pushed everyone away from them
- Trucy n Ema were both people neither expected to take care of but they both ended up raising them.
- both stayed close to the man who had ruined them.
- both framed by murder later by those men.
- both pushed everyone away in that time including Mia/Edgeworth to the point where all their relationships deteriorated severely.
- Both were basically supported by their (Ema was basically Lanas kid like come on she raised her) child and the man that had ruined them.
- both found a path to healing after a young rookie who's mentor they were close with, defended them against murder charges that they were framed for by the man who ruined their career.
