Japan’s cherry blossoms usually get all the attention for their short-lived beauty. But equally ephemeral are Japan’s Nemophila, or Baby Blue Eyes. And once a year, around late April to Early May, an astounding sea of 4.5 million of these little flowers cover the land for a little over a week at Hitachi Seaside Park located on the coast of Ibaraki Prefecture.

Don't forget to enter the discount code JUNESALE10 for 10% off :)
A sticker inspired by our desires to sometimes travel into a faraway fantasy or scenic land rather than being in our room. In this one, you are travelling far into the mountains surrounded by a huge field of nemophila :) So so excited to be releasing this sticker finally! What other locations/sceneries would you like to see?

Nemophila Harmony
April 25th — May 15th
The annual blooming of 4.5 million nemophilas (also know as “Baby Blue Eyes”) on Miharashi Hill in the famous Hitachi Seaside Park. A very popular seasonal event for which many travel from far to see.

CROWN OF NEMOPHILAS (2020)
Tumblr media
Baby Blue Eyes kind are particularly attuned to the tenderness, innocence, and trust. Associated with a person’s early childhood bond with the father, or other important male figures. A lack of care or true presence from the father often occurred.
The flowers of nemophila are commonly recognized as a symbol for forgiveness, mercy … Thomas had his dark moments as a young father, but he wants to redeem himself. He is aware that he would not wash his name as easily as people may imagine. But it starts with one single step: getting the forgiveness of his own daughter, years after their separation.
✿ One of my 2020 Huevember piece that I turned into a digital piece back then. I did not line it on digital so that's why I loved doing the coloring and the rendering so much!
