But also part of the way it works is that the Hospital entities "came first," and the ways in which we get medicine wrong or wield it callously in our world are our own fault, but it does somewhat corrupt how we end up perceiving the Hospital entities. They get filtered through the nature of our reality so the worse the state of modern medicine on our side, the "glitchier" those entities might be, and the worse your own personal view or understanding of medicine, the more hostile and monstrous they might appear even while they actually help you.
Someone from a place with fully functioning healthcare and who hasn't themselves been poisoned by pseudoscience would have a relatively less baffling and threatening encounter with the doctors but still never perfect because they're still something very alien.

ruination
After spending all day crying, screaming, and punching an old friend in the face, Will is more exhausted than he’s ever been.
Actually, that’s not true. Will was much more exhausted when he was seventeen, after he and Lucy brough baby Elenore home from the hospital. She just couldn’t get used to how loud the world was, how cold. And maybe she never got used to it because if it weren’t for her impulsivity, her emotions, her desire to be held and loved and cared for, none of them would be here now.
This afternoon, Elenore told Will and Lucy that she’s pregnant. What’s more, she’s planning to keep it, which still knocks the wind out of Will’s lungs. He could hardly believe it when Lucy decided to have Elenore, but Elenore having a baby herself? Will thought she would have learned from their awkward, exhausted example. He keeps thinking he could change her mind, but he knows it’s not his place. Besides, he thinks he’ll like being a young grandfather. He can run around the park and dance around the floor in ways that the other grandfathers couldn’t dream of.
That doesn’t make it any easier.
When he closes his eyes, he pictures Elenore with her life around her ankles. Sure, she’s older than he and Lucy were when they had her, but not by much. Elenore is twenty-one, and if she has this baby in March, she’ll still be a month away from twenty-two. She’s a young twenty-one, too, what with her sense of humor and flair for the dramatic. She’ll be a fun mom, that’s for certain. But Will can’t stop sighing. There’s something so selfishly awful about watching the little girl you raised to be careful, to be responsible, to be confident within herself, choose exactly the path you wished she wouldn’t. There was supposed to be more for her. College wasn’t supposed to bring about the ruination of her life.
The problem is that he said those last few things out loud, not long after Elenore worked up the courage to tell the truth. She turned bright red and cried harder than she did when she was a brand-new baby. Said she couldn’t believe he couldn’t see it from her side. Him, she said, of all people.
How could you say I’m ruining my life? she asked. How dare you say my baby will ruin my life? Did I ruin yours?
Will’s breath hitches just thinking about it.
Of course Elenore didn’t ruin his life. She changed it. She made it. Anything he could have been without her was for naught. Will was meant to be Elenore’s dad, and everything after that was because of it.
Elenore was supposed to be anyone she wanted to be. Not who her parents made her. Not her teachers. Not Charlie in the middle of a too-early midlife crisis. Leave it to Charlie to become middle-aged well before he’s supposed to. It was always like he couldn’t wait to have five o’clock shadow and a habit of drinking during the day.
The problem is that he said those things out loud, too.
Oh, Daddy, Elenore pleaded with him. Don’t you see? I’m doing this because I am who I want to be.
Will could cry. And before Lucy comes back into the bedroom, he does. Just a little.
This is not the ruination of their lives. Nothing ever is. Not Lucy’s teenage pregnancy, not Sam’s death, not what happened between Elenore and Charlie. This will not ruin Elenore’s life, and it will not ruin his. Not now. Not ever.
It will change it.
It will make it.

well umm first and foremost fio is my awful hospital selfship self insert but i guess thats kind of obvious.. um she arrived at the hospital through a sui attempt but fell asleep on the ambulance ride to a normal hospital (which is a distortion of an actual personal anecdote) and woke up all patched up.. her gown is on backwards because (another personal anecdote) the clothing they gave her was too big and so the collar went down too far. umm she thought she was in purgatory at first but immediately went like "no lol if i died i would be in hell" and so started messing around in the hospital without really any goal in mind. eventually she met jay and got all boycrazy. they were kind of on and off lovers - off because jay would get bored of her and on because he kind of pitied her (and also needed something to stick his dick in - i mean, hey, he WOULD be like that) before the q36. honestly she would probably like joe too but she rarely goes to the cafe and even then gets uncomfortably jealous of flair for always getting to be a part of him. she was also kind of flirty with crash too but in more of a playful way.. needless to say the q36 procedure kind of destroyed her. she soon came crying over to phage and now theyve got a weird thing going on because of course they do. i dont really have any more lore for her umm shes on surprisingly good terms w the staff despite her tomfoolery. theyre just like ohh classic fio! and go on with their days. her name pun (since all of the humans have puns on their color scheme) is fire.. fio.. fire.. u get the jist. all in all shes a friggin nerd and a bit of a mary sue but thats ok because this damn webcomic has no rules. she frequently wanders around the hospital and gets up in peoples business when shes bored which is actually how she met jay in the first place.

It was a long, boring week before Aurelia had her next appointment. Each morning, before the sun had come up, Father would leave for work, the only trace of his existence in the dirty breakfast plate still sitting on the table. Mother would wait for Aurelia in the dining hall, and ring the one of the kitchen hands to bring out her breakfast. Mother never ate breakfast. Then, as soon as Aurelia had finished her food, Mother would usher her back to her bedroom, and disappear elsewhere into the house until dinner, when Father returned.
On the day of Aurelia’s next appointment, however, Father was there at breakfast, reading a newspaper. When she paddled into the room, he threw the paper aside, and quickly got up to pull the heavy chair out for her. “Good morning, my little princess,” he said as he pushed her in.
Aurelia rubbed her eyes lazily. “Where’s Mother?” she asked.
Father poked his head through the kitchen door and said something to them that Aurelia couldn’t hear. Then, he took his seat again, and looked back at his daughter. “Oh, don’t worry about that. Aren’t you happy to see me?”
Aurelia smiled at him. “Of course I am!” Then, her smile faded. “Oh no, can Mother not bring me to the hospital?” She shrank back in her seat. “I wanted to see Lucien…”
Father reached out and put his hand on her shoulder. “We will go see Lucien! I can drive too, you know,” he said.
Aurelia straightened up in her seat eagerly. “Really?”
Father nodded his head. “Really!”
Then, a kitchen maid came in with a tray, and placed breakfast out for both Aurelia and for Father. She put covered plates in front of each of them, before removing the lids with a flair. Aurelia gasped - her plate was piled high with pancakes and berry syrups, with a hefty helping of whipped cream. With Mother, she was used to oatmeal or porridge with fresh fruits and toast. She didn’t think she’d ever seen a breakfast dish that looked so beautiful. She looked over to her Father, to see the same thing in front of him. He winked at her, before stabbing his fork through his stack.
“I was hoping I could meet your friend, Lucien, too,” he said between stuffed mouthfuls. “I need to meet the man who will be marrying my princess one day!”
Aurelia gasped. “No no no!!” she protested, slamming her own fork into her pancakes. “He’s my friend!”
Father laughed loudly, crudely showing bits of unchewed food in his mouth. “Oh, come on, sweetheart, I was just messing with you,” he said, pinching her cheek. Aurelia loosened in her seat, and went back to cutting her food into a mess. “Mother said that you used to call him brother, right?”
Aurelia hesitated, but then nodded. She swallowed her bite of food and said, “Brother Lucien. I have ten others, too. But some of them are sisters.” She put her fork down again, suddenly sad. She looked at Father with sopping eyes. “But… I’ve only seen Lucien…”
“Aw, cheer up, kiddo,” he said, hardly taking a break from his pancakes. They were already mostly gone. “You told me Lucien was special, right? Maybe you’re special too, and that’s why you’re there. How does that sound?”
Aurelia thought about it for a moment. Yes, Lucien was special. And even Miss Olivia had thought that maybe Aurelia was special, too. She looked back at Father, hopeful. But then, she returned to her doubts. Miss Olivia had thought she was special, but she couldn’t do it. She couldn’t get an image through. “Well… maybe,” she murmured, unconvinced.
“Well, I sure think you’re special, kid,” he said. His pancakes were gone. “Are you done eating?”

Jaz grew up in South Los Santos her dad and 'uncle' were a part of the Families, when she was born her dad slowed down his fast life and committed to giving her and her mom a better one- needless to say she was/is daddy's girl.
When Jazz was 10 her dad got killed by rival gang members for something that he did when he was heavy in the streets and her uncle is serving life for evening the score. She and her mom moved to East Vinewood with the money her dad left them and after 6 years her mom got married and changed their last name to her new husbands; when she was 17 she met her first love, her mom was weary because of his involvement in the street life, Jazmine tries to be cautious but ends up falling head over heels over him, Jaz does her best to try and convince him to take a step back from the street life and in an effort to please her he buys her a house in the hills. Jazmine ends up getting pregnant and things are starting to look up for them. When she reached her 5mo mark she was brutally attacked by a rival gang member, she woke in the hospital a few days after the attack to find that she'd lost her baby and her first love in the same week as he was arrested for seeking revenge and is now spending life behind bars.
Devastated and traumatized Jaz decides that she doesn't want a family anymore and moved back home, but after seeing how her stepdad loves and pours into her mom begins to shape and shift her perspective on love and relationships, she’s hopeful and at 22 she decides to go off for a fresh start and a chance to build up a new life, leaving her mom and stepdad behind she moves to a new city, where she ends up meeting a man who is a dealer and a wildcard, his unpredictable nature coupled with his street smart feels familiar as their relationship builds Jazmine begins to open up about her past, her goals for the future and dreams, he surprises her by buying her a small nail salon as a gesture of affection. At first their relationship remains platonic , but as they spend more time together, Jazmine starts developing feelings for him. However, her past experiences with her father and first love make her nervous about getting close to someone again.
NOW:
Chasing a fresh start, Jazmine decides to move to a different city where she purchases a bigger salon in a new location- excited about her new venture she hires a few employees to help her run the business.
As Jazmine navigates through the complexities of her life she takes time to evaluate her options and figure out what it is she truly wants. It's a roller coaster of emotions and uncertainties but Jazmine is determined to make the right choices and find happiness in her endeavors .
