A new sculpture! Finally... I feel like I never sculpt anymore since I'm always sick or have some 500 other things going on or projects to finish, but I'm trying to schedule time to do it more often this year hopefully..! Just a generic fantasy creature as usual, but did try making the eyes a little more sparkly this time.. hrmm..

I did still want to sell them through auction instead of agonizing #over setting prices being afraid they're either too high or too low. So being able to just be like. Here. this is $50. or more. or less.#negotiate. the worth is whatever you feel like it is so i personally dont have to make that decision. etc. lol... But etsy doesn't let you #do auctions or like pay what you want type stuff so.. then I was thinking ebay? but idk.. ANYWAY.. I want to set things #up so I can sell stuff again hopefully. I still haven't fully recovered from the costs of when I had to take my cat to the vet and put #them down last year and etc. So it'd be good to sell a few things. perhaps.. maychance... perhamble... so on and so forthe... ANYWAY #I was going for whiter more milky sort of hair that blends in closely with the skintone but after the paint dried it seems more yellowy kin #of. which is fine. But just not exacltly like my mind vision lol..#Also it's like... wow... someone with face spots and elf ears and a half open mouth with a gap tooth and wavy hair and kind of downturned #eyes... revolutionary... never been seen before... every sculpture I have ever made surely doesnt look licherally exactly like this... LOL #but maybe it's just a style. so what. People have their motifs lol.. Im just getting back into sculpting. I shall sameface in peace. huzzah #Just like the only thing I ever carve out of avocado pits anymore is eyes. Because that's just whats fun to do. I'm going to accumulate lik #25 similar avocado eyes and have nothing to do with them. I was thinking of stringing some together into a necklace of eyes or something li #like that but.. hrmm... ANYWAY.. Love to do the same things repetitively. :3c

so i'm writing an 8th year fic and h&d are taking a muggle studies class together in which they read one of shakespeare's plays, and i'm trying to write a final project (for which they are partners) but like. hogwarts academics don't seem all that uhhhhh rigorous to me (like we see the students complaining about having to write a foot of parchment which is essentially ONE PAGE HANDWRITTEN) and i'm a little worried that my assignment is too rigorous.

it involves a lot of like. thinking analytically and using your imagination wrt the motivations of people unlike yourself, and that's not rlly something they do much at hogwarts as far as i can see. BUT it is muggle studies, and like. they could definitely all use some practice at those skills, following the recent implosion of their society.

#i showed it to my spouse who is a hs teacher #'where are they getting the books for this research? are there wizarding books about macbeth?' no there are not #the professor chose macbeth bc it has these concepts that will be familiar to them like witchcraft and prophesy #but presented from a muggle perspective #and also bc shakespeare is foundational to english literature and culture and it's good to be familiar with his work #and also bc they don't have a lot of experience with art esp language arts which is so so so sad and this will broaden their world #and ALSO bc shakespeare wrote before the statute of secrecy was signed which hopefully sparks their imaginations #to what extent might shakespeare's work have been impacted by ambient magic? or rumors of magic?#and if they had like a regular english literature education #they could talk about like the role of outcasts in shakespeare's work and whether magical people fit into that role #but they do not so we have to be a bit more literal #for the students that are prepared to like dig into this stuff it could be a very engaging experience #but most of them will prob be a bit lazy with it right? and maybe just resent the assignment and not get much out of it #and like!!!!#this assignment is literally just an excuse to have H&D putting their heads together in the library #and bring their relationship/the fact that they've been warming up to each other and spending time together out into the open #in a plausible deniability sort of way #a friendship soft launch if you will #i get a little carried away about these details sometimes #like if i mention the characters getting sandwiches i will look up menus for places they could plausibly have gotten sandwiches in that are #to make sure the sandwiches i mention are reasonable sandwiches #i heard some dumb story about meghan markle freaking out about not being able to get avocado when she was in the uk #and i remembered a fic i had written where aziraphale and crowley eat egg and avocado sandwiches #and i felt ashamed #an implausible sandwich!!!!

i have this "alter ego" that only exists in my head where essentially i am a fat sloppy drunk old fisherman with no loved ones living in misery & isolation & i often imagine myself as him especially in moments of patheticness

#& he is always a fisherman not a farmer not a fisherwoman either ( too badass... )#past life ?! caus my ♯azn side was all fishers & stuff like my grandfather ETC but like all of them looked anorexic instead of fat so #also i imagine the guy as kind of vaguely mediterranean looking so maybe not because that side of my family are mountain farmers #when i read the old man & the sea ( i hate hemingway BTW ♯NotPete ♯ActuallyMikey ) ( uhm sorry about that... )#i was like this is my life/future if it was better... 🚬 But that was a good while after i was already thinking of myself like that #closest thing i felt to a kin moment is when we analyzed miss brill like wow me & i am not even old that is genuinely just my life #as a (at the time) seventeen year old. & also carol ledoux from repulsion literally 100% only i am an ugly freak instead of beautiful #i pretty much never think of myself as myself in my head & actually never when i was younger up until age 9 i remember vividly #& i just had this thought while making my lazy “bite sized” onigiri ( bowl of seasoned rice +tunamayo +vache qui rit +avocado +spoon )#but even when i make the non lazy version i get so overwhelmed & irritated & SLOPPY i feel like a drunk old man with nothing to #live for #anyone else feel like this sometimes...#if any of you weeaboos judge my terminology by the way i will kill myself just FYI #IDCCCC about the actual name you know what i mean. quasi poke bowl but each “component” has its own dish. whatever OK...

made some "avocado chips" tonight and they're pretty good actually. but they're also basically parmesan crisps. so ofc they are

#Sometimes you have to use 1-2 medium avocados you almost forgot about immediately or else forget them again until it's too late #So: mash and mix with a lot of parmesan + a little Italian seasoning garlic powder lemon and pepper (maybe salt but the parm might do tbh)#Flatten heaping teaspoonfulls on a parchment paper lined baking sheet-oil a spatula or measuring cup bottom for squishing purposes #Bake at 375 for 15-20 min until lightly browned/you worry the edges will start to burn soon (maybe longer my oven usually goes fast)#Let cool and enjoy. Probably would be good with various dips. Maybe could be made smaller and crispier for salad topping or something #Truly there is enough parm that they are slightly avocado-y parm crisps more than their own thing imo #But out of the whole listicle of guac salads avocado toast and eggs or other stuffing baked in halved avocados #This was one of the only things I couldn't have thought of without seeing it #So points for novelty
