The solar eclipse is today! You know what that means- it’s the perfect time to invade the Fire Nation!

I just noticed that in atla in the epispde where theres the drill into ba sing se, at the end sokkas coming up with the team name and he says fearsome foursome, and in lok the episode where verick and bolin are escaping on a boat from kuvira with the memories and varrick is telling the story about korra except more naktak like hes coming up with the team name for vaatu, zaheer, unalaq & amon and he also comes up with the fearsome foursome!! Idk its just a random thing i noticed while rewatching ^^

i enjoy Katara a lot because even though she’s like 13 or 14 she ends up being the “mom friend” because she’s caring and nurturing and empathetic…

…all of it due to losing her mom and essentially having to fill that role herself. She grew up too fast, mimicking her mom both as a way to take care of her brother and to have her with her in spirit.

It’s sort of how we as humans cross our arms to give ourselves a sense of security and comfort, but it appears on the outset—to people like Toph in particular—to be that we are trying to intimidate and give ourselves authority over others by posturing that way.

Also her kindness and nurturing nature make it more suprising when she genuinely does get angry or so. The most impactful moments of rage are when characters like Aang and Katara get angry, because it’s so alien to their character. Them acting out of character is so satisfying because of it. It really means they’re truly angry and hurt.

Also she beat Azula every time they fought 1v1 so you know she ain’t to be fucked with.
