Some alt a-spec flags :)

I wanted to make matching a-spec flag sets for aphysical, aemotional, and atertiary microlabels. I do like the original flags (link), but the colors didn't really work for my purposes (they represent attraction, rather than the opposite), so I made alt ones.

Flag colors:

Aphysical: ✦ Light yellow/green, teal, purple - aphysical colors. (From the opposite colors of physical attraction, which I think orange, red, and dark red/pink represent well.) ✦ Dark grey/black, light grey - the spectrum of not experiencing physical attraction. Such as those who don't experience this attraction at all, and those who do (demiphysical for example). (Inspired by other a-spec flags.) Dark grey also represents aphys people who are a-spec in other attractions (like being aemotional in addition to aphysical), and light grey is also for those who are allo-spec in other attractions (like being alloplatonic, for example).

Aemotional: ✦ Dark grey/black, mid grey, blue, light green, blueish green - aemotional colors. (Like above, this is based on the opposite colors of emotional attraction, which I picked purple, blue, orange, yellow, and pink for. I also greys are just fitting colors in general.) The greys and lightest green also represent the spectrum of not experiencing emotional attraction. Such as those who don't experience this attraction at all, and those who do. They also represent aemo people who are a-spec and allo-spec for other attractions.

Note: to avoid looking too much like other flags, I used the 3 main colors plus dark grey/black for aphysical (microlabels), and dark grey/black, blue, blueish green, and light green for aemotional (microlabels), instead of only the bright/opposite colors (so excluding the greys). Traditionally the bright colors are used to represent the respective a-spec identity (see here for an example), and the black/grey/white is left out, but since they'll look too similar to other flags, the dark colors are included to help with this. (Just check my aphyspec and aemospec flag sets for a visual example.)

Atertiary: ✦ Light green, cyan, blue-purple, orange - atertiary colors. (Based off the opposite colors of the tertiary attraction flag, which are light blue, yellow, orange, and magenta/pink. I also rearranged the color order, just to make it more of a gradient / different.) ✦ Black - not experiencing this form of attraction. I didn't include grey/light colors like in the other flags, but that's just a visual thing. Ater-spec plus other a-spec and allo-spec people/labels are still included under this.

Aphyspec, aemospec, & aterspec: Are all based off of the above flags, but arranged into a gradient / color adjusted to represent their spectrums. Inspired by other a- spectrum flags, like ace-spec & aro-spec. There's no specific color meanings.

YAY!

So this takes place on an entire continent called Ocheon, on a planet called Ater. The country I've built most, Abrylia, has a main religion (tentatively calling it Descentism due to the leader's origin) that works like this:

People who die and have lived good lives ascend to the heavens and are called ascendants, while people who haven't become nothingness when they die. The figurehead leader and high priestess of this country is called the Highborn Heiress. She's believed to be descended from an ascendant that returned to the physical world to guide people, and the people of Abrylia believe they'll drop dead if they ever look her or her kin in the eye. She wears a veil made of strung pearls to keep that from happening.

Politics are…complicated.

On the highest in-country level, you have the Electora. Abrylia's nobles vote in someone to speak for them in every major city, and everyone that wins that vote forms a council. The Highborn Heiress is technically above them; she signs the treaties, she breaks arguments when the Electora can't decide on anything or are doing their jobs poorly, she makes deal with the Magnis (getting to them in a minute), and she commissions the knightwardens (monster hunters) from their academy.

On the local level, all throughout Ocheon, the land is governed by the bannermen. They're various clans that conduct themselves differently depending on location, and they're responsible for maintaining and guarding the lands. They have squabbles about borders all the time, but the leaders of the Ocheon countries mostly leave them to it, so long as it never messes with the common citizens. Bannermen are supposed to answer to the country's leader, though more often than not, they'll defer to their own banner's lord rather than acknowledge anything bigger than their own territory.

Then, the Magnis. There are currently eight of them. It's a position outside of country laws, that supersedes the rule of any leader so long as it's within their job description, in the name of peace and future stability of the continent. The current Magnis in power are as follows:

Magni Etran - Current overseer of Dragonblood Citadel

Magni Nalum - Current overseer of the Knightwarden Academy

Magni Tol - Current overseer of the Elemental Colleges

Magni Orina - Current overseer of dragon migration

Magni Syviry - Grand Resonance smith

Magni Elorand - Grand Judge of Ocheon continent

Magni Hylal - Current overseer of candidate requisition

Magni Padryd - Current overseer of Fray investigation

The position is passed down as each Magni chooses a successor, and if one dies without choosing one, the others select and vote in their place.

Currently, the most prevalent issue is that the ninth Magni, Magni Denard, had a very hereditary position rather than the normal successor route, because his job had to do with his bloodline carrying a specific mutation of magic in it. And then he vanished without leaving an heir, so all the hard work that went into his bloodline and training vanished.

As far as science goes, this is a medieval-style world, but monster anatomy is VERY well-studied, and there are leaps and bounds in the scientific field from the spark-eyed community (magic-wielders) due to the abilities they have. That's all managed by Magnis Etran, Nalum, Tol, Orina, and Hylal, so that's the political tie-in.

Atertiary (ater for short) flags part 1 (＠＾◡＾) (This set uses the colors from my ater flag.) (Due to the image limit, this is split into 2 posts.)

This is a bit of a continuation of my other a-spec flag sets. I originally held off on making sets for other attractions because I couldn't figure out the designs/colors. I ended up making my own aphysical, aemotional, and atertiary flags though, so here they are :)

The flags' designs are based off the ace-spec/aro-spec/etc. versions of these flags. The additional colors were chosen by me though.

What's Resonance, and why is there a Magni for it? Does it have to do with those threads of magic you mentioned?

Resonance is a kind of metal from space that, somehow, does NOT have threads. Instead it "resonates" with the first threaded being to activate it, and can then on only be utilized by that person and their descendants.

Its uses vary. At its very basic, it lights up with whatever color thread a person has. Upon activation, it increases the power behind using threads, like a magnifying glass focusing the sun--it does NOT grant mastery, only extra power.

Smithing it is where the magic happens. If you're VERY careful and know your way around threads, you can program a piece of resonance to create a specific effect when activated with the right thread colors.

The reason there's a Magni for it though is because all resonance, precious as it is, is the property of the Magnis until distributed.
