Hello ! Welcome to the Dreamwalker Project blog - a fanmade Avantasia trilogy !
This blog is run by :

CHARACTERS INFOS BELOW ⬇️⬇️⬇️
Dreamwalker, played by Tobias Sammet - A maker of dreams, he is supposed to give people a good night's dream. Dreamwalker get bored and disenchanted with the job : he felt like he was missing out on the experiences, because even if he can see and be in people's dreams, he doesn't really experience the joy and relaxation from it.
Mist/The Mentor, played by Michael Kiske - Guiding Dreamwalker through the job, as the boy is currently the only one left as the Dreamscape needs to be fixed after a period without a dreamwalkers. Seems to hide a suspicious past concerning Nightmare...
Lucid Dream, played by Arjen Lucassen - Dreamwalker and Lucid Dream used to be friend and worked together for a while. However, the latter had troubles telling reality from Dreamscape, and dipped out to join the Nightmare forces when Dreamwalker lost interest in his job.
Nightmare, played by Hansi Kürsch - main body of the Nightmare Trio (with Paralysis Demon and Lucid Dream), and acting antagonist of the story. Essentially does the same thing as Dreamwalker, but it's nightmares instead. really capitalizing on Dreamwalker's moment of apathy to seize the moment and give people in the dreamscape a really bad time. Main goal is to destroy Dreamwalker and to bring eternal chaos and despair into the Dreamscape.
Paralysis Demon, played by Jorn Lande - part of the Nightmare Trio. His job is to terrify anybody who might escape Nightmare and torment them in their awakened state. You're caught between a rock and a hard place: deal with the paralysis demon tormenting you while you're stuck motionless in bed, or go back to your nightmares.
Dreamcatcher/Ataraxia, played by Bob Catley - He is a spirit trapped inside a dreamcatcher. Dreamcatcher was given to Dreamwalker by Mist, to protect him from the evil forces lurking in the Dreamscape.
Daydream, played by Irene Jansen - Daydream is like a healing fairy. Dreamwalker happens to be tormented by the nightmare trio, left alone in a weak state. Daydream approaches him, wrapping him in warm and pleasant thoughts, soothing his traumatized mind.
Fever Dream, played by Kai Hansen - A strange crazy man with a twisted mind... Dreamwalker encounters him at some point in the story.
REM, played by Tony Kakko - Messenger of the Dreamscape. Usually warn people the good and bad news...

They say that the blue hour is a memorable moment, let's see what will happen to them after entering this forbidden amusement park.

The blue hour, the period between day and night when the sky fills almost entirely with a darker blue than the sky-blue of the day. More precisely, it corresponds to a short period of nautical twilight or nautical dawn.
But in this case, it's a curse that's best avoided. The rule was simple and everyone in town knew it: don't go to the abandoned faire.
I mean, sometimes it was open to the public on special occasions, but as soon as the blue hour approached, you had to get out of there.
What happened at the blue hour? People didn't know, it was almost as if people disappeared, but ... how could you disappear like that from one day to the next?
That was the question our dear boys were asking themselves. It was Yeonjun who came up with the idea of going there illegally, followed by Beomgyu, who agreed while the information was still processing in the others' minds.
-"I don't think it's a good idea" declared Soobin.
- "Come on, there's five of us, if something happens to one of us, we'll know what to do", reassured a determined Yeonjun.
And so, as the day drew to a close, they made their way to the fair when no one was watching.
It was beautiful and brightly lit from afar, yet gave off nothing scary to make them think about leaving or returning home to their daily lives.
As you can see, our five friends were very much of the day-to-day type and had had many unforgettable experiences since they were in middle school together. It was always the brave boys who got the ball rolling and the shy ones who followed, but they all ended up having a great time.
So when they arrived at the fairground, it was a moment of complete amazement. The park was lively and brightly lit, with fairground music playing in the background. The food stalls even had hot food!
It was incredible and yet so true.
-I think- but Taehyun was interrupted by Kai, who exclaimed that there was a carousel in the distance and decided to run for it.
- "Relax, everything's going to be fine" reassured Beomguy before drawing his friend towards the carousel.
He was right, he had to relax, there was nothing scary here after all!

Yes, nothing scary when you're not approaching the blue hour. As the sky turned a darker shade of blue compared to the daytime sky, the blue hour finally arrived, and that's when the curse kicked in.
At first, there was nothing very remarkable, but if there was nothing visible, it was mainly because everything was happening in their minds. The first few minutes of the blue hour made them forget all worries and stress, as if they were in a state of ataraxia where happiness reigned.
All the attractions worked, but Beomgyu's favorite was the mirror maze, especially when, instead of his usual relfet, Yeonjun had a pig in front of him, which made his friend laugh, while the main cincerned, less amused by this, pinched the younger man's cheek, noticing that it seemed plumper than before... or maybe he'd just never noticed.
It's like Soobin who, after playing dart shooting, felt that his arms seemed heavier, as if there were no muscle and just fat, pure fat.
Or Taehyun who felt his steps were different as if he could no longer walk without waddling.
Huening was also caught up in the euphoria, laughing and doing all the attracrion he could see. He was acting like he'd never acted before; it was as if he was regressing mentally to want to do only two things: have fun and eat.
Because yes, food was omnipresent, but especially in large quantities. A small packet of popcorn was the equivalent of at least one size large.
Soda was unlimited, not to mention the hotdog stands that were always there and always hot.
Nothing wrong with that, right?

It was only the beginning of the blue hour, because as the hour progressed, the sides effects intensified.
Although they didn't notice it, they were far too caught up in their ataraxia to notice that they were getting fatter, that Huening couldn't even get into the carousel without making the atraction creak loudly.
Beomgyu was becoming a veritable piglet in spite of having teased his friend earlier.
That Taehyun ended up waddling but ended up sitting on a chair to rest, but broke it and ended up on the floor.
That Soobin had become so fat that his belly was resting on the edge of the shooting range. Then he didn't even try to shoot any more - he'd realized it was no use - he'd become too fat for that, instead he was gorging himself on fairyfloss from the stand next door.
Finally, Yeinjun, who had initiated the idea, was the only one with any conscience. So when he saw that in the place of his flat tummy there was a massive belly in its place. His crop top was useless , not even to cover his man-boobs, which were also getting bigger by the minute. He tried to run to warn his friends to leave.
But, they all seemed so happy, so relaxed as if it were a constant climax lingering in their minds.
The idea that all this fat had magically appeared didn't even cross their minds, after all, what's so bad about this carnival?
-"But what if we *oink*- Yeonjun stopped in his sentence as he realized that he'd just grumbled like a pig!
But before he could realize anything else, a noise attracted their attention: Soobin's belly had become so big and heavy that it cracked the edge of the stand, sending him tumbling to the ground.
-"Soo, is everything all right?" Asked Yeonjun seemed to be the only one worried, while the others seemed to be a mixture of laughter and pig grunts.

The end of the blue hour was approaching and there was nothing to stop them leaving, they had already become too big and stupid to try and escape.
Over time, they'd all become really fat, either breaking something like Huening, who'd managed to break one of the caroussel horses, or just breaking their clothes, ripping off their current clothes, which didn't fit them.
There they were, naked, fat but still wanting more. Yeonjun felt powerless, but eventually succumbed.
When he noticed a pig's tail growing on each of them, their skin turned pink and now they couldn't speak without snarling like pigs.
Now we knew what happened to those who tried to enter the fair during blue hour. Gluttony take possession of them.

- "I don't believe you, it's impossible"
- "But I swear my brother told me, everyone who goes in turns into a pig!"
- "Give me an example then"
- "See Yeonjun and his friends? You know those clowns in high school who accidentally set fire to their class ?"
- "Ah yes! I even had a crush on Beomgyu, I remember.
- "And guess what, some said they went there and then we never saw them again
- "It seems impossible to me"
- "Believe me, anything is possible"

I have so many questions but never got to ask you cuz guess what i am gonna go to collage soon
But that aside, here are the questions, now updated after your 4 part posts about OG!Penny and Shrike!Penny
The revived butterfly in the fic, it was presumed dead by Penelope, but after she removed the webs and turned around and walked back, it twitched meaning that it's still alive.
We know that butterflies symbolize life, death, and metamorphosis. But what of a "revived" butterfly?
Well not like revived, more like presumed dead but is actually still alive.
I've dug a little deeper (not that deep) about a butterfly's symbolism, it can also represent hope and faith.
Soooo, assuming you go with that too, does a still living butterfly that was thought to be dead meant there's still some—albeit very very slim chance to me—hope left for her even though it didn't seem like it?
As for the faith part, I really don't see that fit anywhere. She lost all faith in gods, the Eckharts and the MLs so, yeah.
And, and, Cassian,
I went thru the comments and you said he is gay and a sad boy.
Does he ever have romantic feelings for one of Penny's brothers?? Or is he sad about Penelope just pushing and burning herself out again that her health is just- shit. Like when she was still small and within her Empire?
One more question, I remember that Penelope said(?) that the Second Prince faction would pay for siding with Leila (memory fuzzy here but i remember it mostly)
Will she do it in the Eternal Ataraxia? Along with the Eckharts? :Eyes:

unfortunately, I've hit a bit of a roadblock with Shrike. It's the sad reality of having grand plans for a fic and then life chucking a brick at your window with you right next to it. It'll become a backburner fic, probably, but I really, really hope that it doesn't die off in my mind, even with the lack of interest it generally has. I'm glad you still love it enough to reread <3
I'm also going to college soon, so you aren't alone in the hectic mess.
I'm still churning out some of the OG! Penelope headcanon posts! a bit stuck on part 5, and the series might get added onto later if I ever get new ideas.
(I'm actually churning these out for a self-indulgent crossover I've been chatting about on Discord but shhhh)
Ooh, the butterfly was a while ago. I honestly forgot about it, but yes, it was meant to be a sort of rekindled hope, but also to symbolize someone. I had the idea for Rheiana to have butterfly powers similar to Roxana, but more like a butterfly-human hybrid but scrapped the butterfly part.
And... RIGHT ON THE MONEY! Cassian had feelings for one of Penelope's brothers. It won't be a big plot point in the story, so I'll just tell you now. He was in a semi-secret romantic relationship with Adrastus, Penelope's second brother. If you remember, Adrastus was also the brother that died in Penelope's arms, just like her mother.

In addition, he is pretty sad about how self-destructive Penelope is, especially since he feels like he has an obligation to take care of her in Adrastus's absence(the two of them were really in love with each other, and although there were talks of Adrastus marrying out for political ties, they were devoted to each other). He believes that it's his fault that Penelope was lost in the first place, that she became so reckless even as a child.
As for the Second Prince's faction, since they aren't as traumatically significant to Penelope as the Eckharts are, I was thinking of an end that was less horrific, but more public.
And for the "sheer clothing" in my OG!Penelope hcs series, it's actually not referring to Hanfu! Shrike!Penelope's culture/the Ancient Wizards were influenced by different IRL cultures(with how I mentioned that dimension travel is a THING that they used to do), which is why I mentioned Hanfu since China was one of the big ancient empires.
I'm thinking more manhwa-sheer, as in, like. Roxana(yep, here we go again), her sheer overskirts and sleeves. Maybe some more modern dress styles. Think haute couture. Sheer cutouts, satins, etc. Lots and lots of lace and netting.

ok so since art prints are taking forever to sort out and i gotta figure out shipping and packaging before selling my original canvas paintings: i might do commissions? i've always said no when people suggested it but i think if i just do painting (so no digital for the time being) and just on A5 paper (like ataraxia, sapphic, algea all those small paintings u may have seen me post) then it's managable + it's cheap to send to people cause it's just a letter so no one would have to pay way too much for shipping
anyway ive got yet another question for the art folks since you've been very helpful so far (thank you So much i am very clueless i appreciate it) - any suggestions on pricing for those commissions? i'd like to keep it as cheap as possible but at the same time bc it's painting i have to factor in a lil bit for cost of supplies as well so im just,,, h.
any suggestions are welcome, i don't need exact prices i just figured someone might have some thoughts and insight on how to go about it

Hey Elizabeth! I'm trying to get into the Fates series since your blog inspired me to want to watch it. Where would I start? Is there a manga that is recommended to read first or just the anime? Thanks!
Actually, if you want to join me in Fate hell you’ll want to start with the original Fate/stay night visual novel! This post has some download links if you want to pirate it (and sadly you WILL have to pirate it if you want to play it in English, since I think the PC versions are out of print or require some serious searching to find, and DEFINITELY not legally available overseas). If you would prefer a text-based LP, the Let’s Play archive has you covered.
The plot involves main protag boy, Shirou Emiya, accidentally summoning King Arthur and getting dragged into a battle royale between a bunch of wizards and dead guys over a magic cup, though you might have already known that. The first route, Fate, is Saber’s route and an introduction to the setting. The second route, Unlimited Blade Works, is supposed to be Rin’s route, but kinda gets highjacked by her Servant, Archer, and Shirou’s character development. The last route, Heaven’s Feel, is Sakura’s route, and is infamous for being absolutely hardcore. You’ll want to do each of these routes in the order I just listed, since they were designed to be played in that order.
Important notes: The original game was an eroge, which means there’s some badly written porn scenes you’ll need a censor or content-replacing patch for unless you want to read Nasu constantly compare sex to food (they’re like 30 minutes total of a game that takes 24 hours to complete so you’re not missing much at all). The posts I linked already come with censor patches however, so you should be fine. Also, be warned that there are some major themes of sexual assault and abuse throughout the game, so if those are triggers for you I do not recommend it.
If you’re confused on the two versions, the original Fate/stay night VN is ye olde porn game from 2004 for the PC, while the Realta Nua versions are the various updated releases for Playstation devices and PC. Realta Nua is also the worksafe version of the game, cutting the porn and adding new scenes.
After that is Fate/hollow ataraxia, a sequel of sorts that infamously took a full decade to get a proper English patch out. The game focuses on our boy Shirou, who’s found himself dragged into a time loop as the Grail War starts again, Bazett Fraga McRemitz, the original Master of Lancer who has somehow gotten ahold of a new Servant, Avenger (or as I like to call him, Hobo Satan), and Caren Ortensia, the daughter of evil priest Kirei Kotomine from the first game. Also everyone’s alive again except Kotomine, and the game is half serious, half shenanigans. I’m not sure where you can download this one, but the English patch is right here. Be warned that there’s more NSFW and themes of sexual assault, and no censor patches this time, so be warned!
Then there is Fate/zero, a prequel series of light novels. This time the focus is on the Grail War prior to the one seen in F/sn, and the main character is Shirou’s adoptive father Kiritsugu Emiya and his many personal tragedies. No one really gets a happy ending here and it’s a bunch of edgy old dudes being Grimdark, so do be warned. There’s an official English of the manga, but the light novels are stuck in hell, though a fan translation of the light novels can be found here.
For anime, there’s the DEEN animes and the Ufotable animes. The DEEN animes over the Fate route (TV anime) and UBW route (movie), and honestly they fucking suck, I do not recommend them at all unless you want to see the origin of the “People die when they are killed” meme.
The Ufotable animes, meanwhile, are absolutely gorgeous, and cover Fate/zero (TV series), Unlimited Blade Works (another TV series), and Heaven’s Feel (upcoming film series). If you want to watch the animes, these are what I recommend. Everything that’s out is up on Crunchyroll for free, so you should be able to access it pretty easily if you have adblock on.
That’s all of the main, non-spinoff stuff. The spinoff stuff would require a post of its own and would get overwhelming fast, so I’ll give it to you only if you want it. If you want something to just jump into, Fate/Grand Order is the really popular mobile game spinoff that everyone’s talking about. It’s about an organization called Chaldea that’s devoted to protecting humanity’s future survival by going back in time to correct anomalous time bubbles called singularities, summoning Servants to do so. While the premise is radically different from most Fate works, it’s pretty welcoming for newbies and there’s an official English version for iOS and Android, so you can just download it and start playing. If you want to get into the spinoffs, hit me up again, but that should be plenty of content for now. Have fun!
