Yeah sure, sometimes I'm doing something with music in the background and Spotify decides to put in something by the amazing devil and it's good fucking music so of course I'll sing along and act it out if the task allows it.
But then sometimes I put on entire albums of tad just to LISTEN to it. And it's such a new experience EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. Like just this year I've listen to them for like 20k hours. Do you know how fucking much that is. How the hell can their music still leave me so breathless.
It literally leaves me breathless, I have to stop the songs sometimes because I get overwhelmed and need to process what I've just heard.
IT'S BEEN 4 FUCKING YEARS. HOW.

The repeated use of the lyric 'legend' obviously made me start listening to this song with Legend in mind and I feel this cover of the song with its more cynical lyrics really fit him more to me than the original.

This has been my choice of looping background music when writing one of my fics, especially since this version better fits the gentle rain one of the main scenes takes place in compared to the regular song's more active energy to it. It's calmer, akin to a lament but with a lighter tone to it, which is also the mood of the scene.

It's Friday and my super productive week is making for a slow day. Musically I'm all over the place but here's 5 from my current rotation (I've been working on end of year, biannual and quarterly reporting so it's a motivation playlist currently).
Farewell Wanderlust — The Amazing Devil, my all time favorite band, their lyrics and sound just makes me ascend everytime.
Heaven is Here - Florence + The Machine. Florence's music had been with me for soo long that at this point is just part of my brain default, love her. And this song is perfectly witchy.
Sunlight - Hozier, if love has a sound it's this song at least for me, it's just poetry make music, fantastic.
Love Like Ghosts - Lord Huron, beautifully written and soo haunting? idk y just love it so much.
Blood in the Wine - Aurora, the feeling and euphoria this song makes me have is insane, just pure bliss. Also metaphors, imagery and all that good shit.
Bonus: To Lose Himself in Vengeance from my favorite movie ever Ophelia, this absolute masterpiece is in my 24/7, just the perfect vibes.

Dream Job: You know, I have a damned masters degree and I still don’t have an answer to that. I love what I do now, but it’s not really well encapsulated in a job title (I manage a team, but I also head up a lot of our diversity and inclusion initiatives, but I also do some business development, but I also do grant writing, etc...) I’m kind of an idealist, so if I ever leave my current company, it’ll almost certainly be to work for a non-profit or go into politics or something that feels impactful.
Wearing: Black Widow (the Marvel character, not the spider) t-shirt and jeans.
Favorite Song: My answer here is eternally transient, but right now it’s probably either Far From Home by Sam Tinnesz or Farewell Wanderlust by The Amazing Devil.
Favorite Instrument: To play? Piano. To listen to? Probably the flute.
Aesthetic: It depends. I have two like... two settings. Either I give zero fucks and and live in jeans and t-shirts or I am ridiculously extra. I wear dusters and long cardigans because they’re pretty much socially acceptable capes. My hair is always some shade of red. I have 14 different tubes of red lipstick.
Favorite Author: Brandon Sanderson. His magic systems are well thought out, his world building is incredible, and I’m in love with all of his characters. I’ve bought his Mistborn series I think 5 times now because I keep foisting copies off on friends to make them read it too.
Favorite Animal Noises: One of my cats likes to sit in my stairwell and cry. I think he likes the acoustics or something. It’s absolutely ridiculous.
Random: I have five cats. It was very much an accident.

Currently Watching: ummm not really in the middle of watching anything right now? I think the last thing would be binging the latest season of Puppet History on youtube lol
