Koi continues trotting along her path forward, weaving through the tall grass in almost a serpentine fashion. Koi: Fish taste, like most meats... Can greatly depend on how it's prepared! Is it cooked? How is it cooked? Is it being served raw like sushi? Or are you eating it out of a river with no seasoning? Speaking of seasons, sometimes the time of year matters! In some pokemon species, even the gender of the fish can change the taste!

Koi hops up a bit onto a rock, looking proud of all her various fish flavor knowledge. This woman has eaten a lot of fish and that's.. cool? Maybe to her anyways. Koi looks back at the other pokemon, realizing that she had been boasting about fish a little too much. A little too prideful. She needed to chill out a bit, she was trying to get out and be social again after all.. Koi flashes a smile Koi: BUT... In this case. I'll humor it, specifically with my recent Finneon catch... Koi: It was a male finneon, you can tell their gender apart by their bottom lobe on their tail fin! Koi scrunches her nose a bit with a squamp noise Koi: But since it was male... it lacked some juiciness. They tend to be more stringy and bland... But not entirely devoid of flavor. Koi: I would describe a typical male Finneon's flavor... during this time of year.... as more... bitter. They start off bitter and stringy... but become a bit more chunky with a slight tang as the winter approaches! Nothing too fancy, compared to what a prime female finneon's taste is... but food is food! Koi: I bet if I had a sauce it would've tasted better.... but sometimes! You just have to eat a fish raw like the way mother nature intended!..... even if it means sacrificing flavor...

All four of the Tauros children had suddenly vanished, all quickly ran away in pure fear. Copper and Olive hid behind trees within their respective lots, cowering slightly. Silver had ran a long bit away, peering from behind a grass hill

Tucker was the closest, his blanket cape got caught on a bit of fence, so he was hiding behind the large fence pole that divided the sections of grass. There was a long silence, only the occasional peering out from their hiding places could be seen.

It is only once the question is asked again, that Tucker managed to peer slightly from around the pole.

The young bull continues to stutter in fear, his voice shaking almost as much as his body was. He can't seem to get a proper word out but suddenly, Silver can be heard shouting from behind the grassy hill Silver: TUCKERS TOO SCARED TO TALK AGAIN!! BUT I'LL SAY IT!! Tucker gets a upset look at the fellow kids comment but the water type sticks his head fully out from behind the grassy hill

Silver: THOSE DOGS ARE JERKS!! THEY ARE ALWAYS RUDE!! BARKING SO LOUDLY!!! The other two calves slowly peer out from their hiding places as they chime in Olive: One of them BIT me once!! I wasn't "moving fast enough" and they bit me!! Copper: T-they... they bit me once too... They n-nip at my heels... all the t-time... Silver: ONE OF THEM SHOCKED ME!! FOR NO REASON!! THEY JUST LAUGHED!! Tucker nervously shuffles his hooves and looks down Tucker: I.. I've seen them just... attack others... if they get out of line... o-or... they... I've... seen... Tucker: I saw one... they... a herd member was sick and.. the dogs... chased them out into a field... a-and... Tucker: I don't... see them any...anymore... I don't... know w-what.. Tucker looks visibly uncomfortable and his voice trails off in discomfort and confusion. Olive: They are awful!! We all hate them!! Copper: Y-yeah... Silver slowly moves over the hill, standing on the top of it with a stern expression, looking Rimi up and down. Silver: I DON'T THINK THIS DOG LADY IS PART OF THEM THOUGH... SHE HASN'T BEEN RUDE AT ALL... All the calves nod in unison with one another, quickly coming out of their hiding places and going back to the fence. Silver puffs out his chest proudly Silver: I K-KNEW THAT THOUGH... I was... Just.. fitting in with the others to not make them feel bad for hiding!! It was obvious to the other kids that Silver was lying, but Olive looks up at Rimi with a ashamed expression Olive: Sorry for thinking... you were one of the dogs... Copper: Y-yeah... sorry... Silver: mmm....yeah... s-sorry.. I GUESS... Tucker: I'm... sorry too... All four of the children lower their heads awkwardly in shame

“Molly an’ I are gonna go be a Rescue Team! There’s good money in it an’ it sounds like a lot of fun. The Guild near us is lookin’ to hire some new Teams soon, so we’re gonna go try out!” He puffs his chest out, acting tough and gruff. “We’re gonna be the best team out there, an’ we’re gonna take the whole Rescue world by storm! Everyone soon will hear about Team Slipstream!”

He looks to his partner, who appears to have not been listening. “At least that’s the plan. We’re gonna have to work hard, but we’re no strangers to hard work.”

“I'm sure you know by now that you're in Rosehaven City, no? But the building we're in is the Rosehaven Contest Hall! Which you can probably guess is where contests are held. Of both the performance and battle variety!”

Seeing Rimi here and recognizing her was already enough to induce a groan from him. But her making fun of his choice in clothing, or lack thereof other than the scarf, definitely ticked him off.

Lief: "Right, ok... I'm gonna ask you to take ONE look at me."

He fully faced Rimi right then. In a sardonic manner, he proceeded to gesture towards himself, drawing special attention to the yellow fur on his hindquarters. He was looking up at Rimi with the kind of face that said 'it's obvious, you can't be this dense.'

Lief: "Are you seeing why I don't do clothes yet? Is it clicking in your head that your question is the equivalent of asking a Combee if it can fly?"

He rested a paw on his hip. The other paw that still held the berry was moved back towards his mouth, for him to take another bite.

Lief: "Also. Buggie? Really? I have a name."

A title trial? What it looks like? And how did ya managed to do this?"

These trials were made difficult in order to prove devotion and trust. Each family differs in how they go about it, but fasting is involved across the board.

Thankfully it was made known that I could have a lookout in case things went very wrong, and they almost did-I got scuffed pretty bad against a rock while going against the current.

Despite everything beforehand, I think this was the most difficult part. To sit under that sun after spending at least a few hours trying to fight currents, hardly any energy left due to not eating or drinking for a full day? It's rough. There's no shade, the rocks are uncomfortable, you're completely sapped of energy and have to fight to stay awake.

It's definitely an exercise of will, but you couldn't pay me to do it again!

But eventually the sun set, I could feel my skin get cooler as the wind and water picked up again. I was only told that I'd know when the trial would be over and didn't have anything to go with beyond that. I just had to trust that I could hold out until I saw it through.

I wasn't dreaming, but I wasn't entirely awake I'm sure. I could've been hallucinating-which wouldn't have surprised me with all the factors piling on me. I don't remember opening my eyes, but I saw this...leviathan of a Lugia. It was giant, with coral all over it. They swam or flew through the dark and circled a few times before disappearing, and then I "woke up" for lack of better words.

I learned after the fact that it was Guaban, one of the island titans.

I know in the future that I want to make this a little easier for whoever is next. We can do that, as long as the four families are in agreement to do so. Who knows, maybe it was even harder before the last leaders decided to make this their new trial.
