Synopsis : Zhen Ren is a surgeon who succeeded in achieving his father's dying wish. With the help of ER director Pan, he joined Haicheng Hospital. Zheng Ren devoted everything to being a doctor, and his skills caught the attention of genius doctor Su Yun, who began to study Zheng Ren's methods. Su Yun comes to accept and admire Zheng Ren as a colleague. In order to treat a case of conjoined twins with arrhythmia, Zheng Ren and Su Yun join hands to form a team formed by a group of medical professionals (MDL)

2 am and I'm thinking about Mhok realizing his sister was saving up for his tuition when he never believed in his future and that she killed herself when he was in jail and he knows that she took herself out of his life and the way he's constantly distancing himself from his emotions and placing space between himself and the world and the future and between himself and living because living means moving on and moving means accepting his loss and feeling what that means, feeling the pain and the loneliness and taking away the blame that he's thrust between himself and her but also the blame he can't escape because he blames himself but can't face that because he'd simply collapse to hold the weight of her loss on himself.

And the way that he's going to help Day rediscover his independence and work with him on finding his own way in a future so different and dark while facing his own feelings of emptiness and loss and how Day's own pain will give him a chance to reflect on his own and how these two men in so much pain are going to help each other find a healing that they desperately need but also cannot face.

It's Day's anger and Mhok's hiding and the way both of them see no future for themselves except one that changes a part of the past that they cannot change. Day facing his loss of vision and Mhok the loss of his sister but also both of them facing themselves and what they carry when they cannot do it alone.

(And how that will bring Day back to the friends he thought he lost with his vision but will keep bringing Mhok out of a different kind of darkness and into a very different light.

And how Day's blindness is not darkness but a lightening of the world and how Mhok is from darkness and the shadows and the dangers of the world and I just can't, I don't even know, but there's just so much there.)

Day's support system is built of people who look at him as helpless and he lashes out at everyone to get them to see him, to look at him, but Mhok is hiding from so much of his life and himself and his support system is so present and so kind but he can't face what happened so he just wants them to look away.

Thing in east asian art where they make the main character a generic white person and then #every other thing about the setting is deeply recogniseably common asian shit lmao #that's entertainment for me. this came about extremely haphazardly... its why the first two pages look nothing like #the rest of it fsdjfhdsjhf. I slammed those out at a cafe like two days ago #went into this one no plan outside of a general sense of direction #I dont think Ive ever actually designed a single character in any of the short horror comics I did. like either its me or #I made someone up as I went. genuinely didnt know what the character'd look like until I sketched em #and then I kept referencing previous panels to draw em. dont know if I recommend this method #mmmm on reread not super sure if the sound effect of the bed leaving the room is clear enough... oh well there are other comics #been writing a lot about food and places recently Ive found out. oh yeah dyou know whats funny #I watched a wayner highlight vid of the kingdom heart charity stream today (I do not know anything about kingdom heart) and realized #how much of kingdom heart (at least the first one) is about like. places.#which is like. good job baku great deep read there isn't kingdom heart literally behind a door. arent there doors all over the place.#isnt the biggest symbol from that game taht EVERYONE knows about the KEYblade. for locks on door #fskdjfhdj but yeah its just. very cool to me that that game really does have iconic recogniseable sites. like the scenes are all tied to #where they happen at. and the climactic battle happens in a black void around a door. its good #good story about leaving ur home after ur friends aren't there anymore and being changed so much by what you go through that #you can no longer call where you started at home anymore.
