SOMEONE IS STEALING MY FIC (TSBU) AND POSTING IT AS THEIR OWN ON WATTPAD

→ IT’S DELETED ✓

yesterday an anon (whom i am very grateful to) sent me two asks: one letting me know that my fic had been stolen, and another w the wattpad link (which is no longer up on this blog bc the work has been deleted).

i posted the first chapter of tsbu on june 26th. two weeks later on july 8th, ch2. two weeks later on july 22nd, ch3. two weeks later on august 10th, ch4. that is the latest update.

this girl posted the first chapter out of five on august 24th. it is my ch2’s plot points, scenes, and generalized lines etc. copied. she uses the same text format, including the ghost conversation. she uses gina flying out w the caswells to florida (changed miami to orlando), ashlyn’s attire on the plane and ej soothing gina’s worries, the aforementioned texts, a boat instead of a rollercoaster, dinner w their parents + carrying her on the dock. summer camp, ricky partnering up w gina, miss jenn being a counselor, gina going to miss ej. ej leaving and gina not letting him go for awhile.

i’m literally sick to my stomach. i left this comment as soon i found out:

if you enjoyed any aspect of my fic, PLEASE please please consider leaving a comment on this fic asking her to take it down. it’s plagiaristic, disrespectful, and incredibly upsetting. she has her own book of oneshots full of original ideas; she clearly doesn’t need to use my fic to write, so my wanting this taken down should not affect her. her stealing my writing though? that affects ME.

and just for clarification bc i didn’t take a screenshot of it: she blocked me in between the message of mine that starts w “i don’t CARE” and her next message. likely bc after i sent that message i went through her fic and left SIXTEEN (16) comments pointing out most of the stolen details.
