I caught up the latest Bells Hells and wow. The most powerful entities in Exandria have nothing on the determination of Ashley Johnson and Sam Riegel to bullshit their way out of tense situations.
And I think the idea to self banish was Marisha’s if I was following the cross table conversation correctly? Amazing.
So uh Otohan killed a Ruidusborn Fey they all need like 50 episodes ago? And now that Fey is on the moon and ran away? With a weird robot, I guess. What is a day in your life like Otohan Thull.

WHAT I WANT EVERYONE TO PLAY IN CAMPAIGN 3: *but like it’s just, what I would like to see and these are in No Way predictions gfdjhs*
Liam: He looked like he was having so much fun being animals while in character as Caleb, so i think he’d be so entertaining as a druid. Also maybe he could branch out and play an even slightly less humanoid race (half-elf, human, halfling, you know), even if it’s just like tiefling or something. I don’t thing he’d go as stereotypical as to play a satyr druid but something like that could be fun?
Marisha: People have been saying paladin forever and they’re So Correct i wanna see Marisha as a paladin so bad (plus just someone in cr playing paladin as a base class instead of multiclassing and only getting a few levels). As for race i have no idea, but i think it would be hilarious if she was the first animalfolk pc, like a grung or minotaur or uhh harengon or leonin or LOXODON. i don’t think anyone will do that but it WOULD be iconic gfhdkj
Travis: Bard. bard bard bard bard bard. he would be INCREDIBLE, and with branching out with high CHA characters with Fjord, i think he’d have fun playing a non-archetypal anti-Scanlan, really just because i also need another Sam/Travis pc feud bc they’re amazing playing against each other. And also just because i love going for the most chaotic thing, of course im going to say tabaxi. Would he EVER? No absolutely not. Should he though? 👀
Laura: I have had this in my head for MONTHS and i Do Not Know where or why this idea birthed, but earth genasi fighter or barbarian. One: Martial class because i’m in love with Grelnok from the ESO series and Laura deserves to just, chop body parts off, yeah. I fully don’t know where earth genasi came from but its just the vibe man. I would love this character so much.
Sam: I heard someone on tiktok say artificer once and i cannot let it go. He would be an AMAZING artificer, probably doing absolutely stupid stuff with the infusions (aka the best stuff to do with infusions), but also, as we’ve seen in c1, he’d play such a specific type of chaotic support that i’d love to see with a different sort of genre of character. For race, the Small trend HAS to keep going, but dwarf is just too obvious for a builder. FAIRY on the other hand... come on. come on. Sam Riegel fairy artificer. is that not the best thing you’ve ever heard. gfhdsjk
Ashley: If Travis can’t play a tabaxi, Ashely absolutely can. Why? i have absolutely no idea. I feel like she would be so good with literally any combo i could come up with, but, as people have been saying, she seemed to really like monks, with Beau and Fy’ra Rai, so i think like a really gentle, soft spoken tabaxi monk, who like. kills people in the most blood rending way possible would be RIGHT up Ashley’s ally and she deserves to have badass kills where she like slits people’s throats with her claws.
Taliesin: It’s so obvious. It’s SO obvious. We are long overdue on a Taliesin warlock, and you just KNOW he would go so over the top with it. Like, yes he’s most likely actually going to be the playtester for one of Matt’s homebrewed classes or subclasses, but like also, the potential for Taliesin pc/patron interactions. they would be AMAZING you can’t tell me otherwise gfhdjdh. For race he could do literally whatever he wants. Satyr, warforged (Aeormaton?), vampire, aasimar, uhh fuckin centaur. i just know i’ll be obsessed and they’ll be Gender. ghfdjk

I have always been fascinated why people become attached to certain characters in a movie or a show or even a video game. Is it something about the actor behind the character that a person likes? Something that the character does in a moment that makes them more appealing to the others? A detail in the character's past that a person connects to & therefore sees how the character reacts & deals with that issue? I follow a lot of Beau/Yasha centric folks here on Tumblr & for most I can understand. The way that Ashley & Marisha RP these two makes them very relatable for every gay chick out there. The awkwardness is so real & that slow burn was very relatable. For Caleb, his past trauma & how he deals with it. The same for Beau, not saying that her being gay is the only connection. Her story is very relatable & very true to real life. Trauma is not the only thing that can draw people to characters. People love Jester for Laura's badassery in how she plays her. Which can be amazing to watch. Not taking away from everyone else, because they all get love from everyone in the CR community. They are the reason we watch & make GIFs & write fanfic & buy merch. Without them, there would be no us.

THE VOX MACHINA/MIGHTY NEIN BATTLE ROYALE HAS BEEN ANNOUNCED!
From the latest Kickstarter update:
We are absolutely hyped to share that our Vox Machina x Mighty Nein one-shot will air Friday, June 18th at 7pm Pacific on both our Twitch and YouTube channels. The showdown was unlocked when our $3 million stretch goal was SMASHED by all of you amazing backers.
Members of Vox Machina and the Mighty Nein will face off in an epic FIGHT TO THE DEATH! Having seven players made it a tad awkward to break out into even teams, so our brilliant GM Matthew Mercer built a mechanic into the arena so that one player will be a wildcard of sorts, who can be pulled between Vox Machina and the Mighty Nein. After a dice roll-off, our favorite goth dad, Taliesin Jaffe, claimed the wildcard title and has the unique pleasure of juggling characters and accents at a moment’s notice… Good luck, Taliesin! The rest of the Critical Role cast have been broken up between the two adventuring parties, leaving us with the following matchup:
VOX MACHINA
Ashley Johnson as Pike Trickfoot
Sam Riegel as Scanlan Shorthalt
Liam O’Brien as Vax’ildan
And our wildcard Taliesin Jaffe as Percival Fredrickstein von Musel Klossowski de Rolo III
VS
THE MIGHTY NEIN
Marisha Ray as Beauregard Lionett
Laura Bailey as Jester Lavorre
Travis Willingham as Fjord
And our wildcard Taliesin Jaffe as Mollymauk Tealeaf
All characters will be Level 15 for a nice fair fight. Oh yeah! We also decided to theme this team deathmatch with some post-apocalyptic desert warrior vibes for funsies… Check out the incredible character art created by Anna Zee (@AnnaZee_S) and GET HYPED!

Watch the epic showdown Friday, June 18th at 7pm Pacific on Twitch and YouTube! We’ll also have rebroadcasts on Saturday, June 19th at 12am and 9am Pacific on Twitch, and the VOD will be available on YouTube Sunday, June 20th.
Which team do you think will come out on top?

Beau: We're so fucked up.
Fjord: It's like a bunch of jigsaw puzzles that have no matching pieces. You just like get them really wet and shoved those shits together. Like, "It fits!"
This entire interaction between Fjord and his first mate is one of my favorite moments from the show. Putting aside the admission of feelings that both of them admit for Jester and Yahsa respectively, it is just a great example of how well Travis & Marisha are with each other. Not to mention the fact just how right they both are. Like normal people, the members of M9 all have deep issues that they deal with in their own ways. Sometimes going to other members to try & deal with it, like grief or guilt or trauma. And even though they each have their own shit, they try their best to be that sounding board for the others. Knowing that even though they have their own pain, their friend does too & that is important as well. It’s evident when Yahsa talks about the guilt she has for having left Zuala & running. The guilt of hurting Beau & the others. They constantly reassure her that it wasn’t her & she is forgiven, she’s a survivor not a victim. The same when the gang learns of Beau’s childhood & her deal with Isharnai. Even though they mostly all have childhood trauma, their focus in on Beau & making it a point that she is not who her father ever thought she was or will become. She had surpassed anything that he had built up in his mind regarding his daughter & it was an effort to get Beau to believe that. And how excellently Marisha portrayed that through her emotional state during that episode is AH MAZING! Even when Laura pulls out the most epic move ever, Marisha barely reacts, still behind those emotional walls that she put up to help Beau deal with walking away from her family, from Yasha, from it all. But I digress. Caleb killed his parents, Fjord was bullied to the point of painfully altering his appearance, Veth was bullied by not only other kids, but her own siblings, & Jester was locked in her bedroom for most of her childhood. Things that can jacked with your head as an adult on so many levels. I mean, Beau was right, they are all so fucked up but the fact that have each other makes all of their issues rather bearable & able to be dealt with. And just like those soggy ass puzzle pieces, they fit together when at any other time they probably wouldn’t. Knowing that the people you surround yourself with are just as fucked up as you are can be a relief & knowing that those people have your back no matter can mean even more. Good thing they have Caduceus to be there to offer them tea & a bit of grave cleric advice.
******* While writing this, I started to think about the episodes of Between the Sheets with each of the actors. Even though they have all become amazing VO & are highly successful, they all had to deal with emotional traumas not only growing up but also in their adult life as well. A few still deal with issue even today. That is heart breaking to know on so many levels. And to know that people who watch the show & follow them contribute to those issues is irritating & frustrating & very aggravating. Like with anything else in life, if you don’t like the choices that someone makes on a TV show or streaming content, DON’T WATCH. It’s that easy. Don’t attack them for their choices, cause they didn’t do what you think they should have done. IT’S STUPID! And if your life is that boring that you have to attack someone because of a game or a tv show or whatever they are doing, it says WAY TOO much about the person posting. Ok?********
