i just finished Ashley Garcia: Genius In Love and wow, that ending.. sheesh. The one little crumb of hope I have for the ship I’m rooting for just gets snatched away bc just so happens, the show gets canceled.

And yes, this is about Stick and Ashley.

#cannot believe the whole plot and build-up in s1 only for it to be pretty much tossed on the back burner until the last episode #esp when neither of their feelings were acknowledged very well like they both moved on but it seemed so soon #particularly for ashley bc SHE realized and by then stick had moved on but it makes me question too #like did he fully move on bc he started liking brooke or was it moreso he was just sick of pining and realized brooke was different #at least than he previously thought or a mix of both??#regardless I’m bitter and it’s definitely not what I needed #(😒 @ literati )#kidding ofc I love my babies but rn I didn’t need similar pain with another couple not ending up together #ashley garcia #ashley garcia: genius in love #literati #gilmore girls

The Expanding Universe of Ashley Garcia

Another Netflix original series that's actually good and was cut short is The Expanding Universe of Ashley Garcia or Ashley Garcia: Genius in Love. With two parts and 15 episodes total, this show tells the story of 15-year-old genius, Ashley Garcia, who travels across the country to live with her uncle and work on her career in robotics.

Growing up as a genius with an overprotective mom, Ashley missed out on a lot during her childhood. Now that she is living with her uncle and has reconnected with an old childhood friend, Ashley is finally getting to experience a more normal teenage life as well as getting to catch up on some of the things she missed.

Throughout the series, Ashley adjusts to the changes in her life, makes mistakes, forms friendships, falls in love, struggles with her job, and begins to see that there is more to life than just science and the small amount of experiences her mom allowed her to have.

The Expanding Universe of Ashley Garcia is a fun, comedic show to watch that keeps you intrigued but also relaxed. This is the perfect show to watch when you are having a bad day or when you just want a laugh. It has a fun plot that is easy to get into and characters that are easy to fall in love with. I watched this show during quarantine and it was very comforting. This show is short and sweet and the only thing I remember really bugging me is that it ends on a cliffhanger. The show is definitely set up to have another season, but I don't think we're actually going to get one. Overall though, I highly recommend it and give the show a good 8/10.
