The only revised Frost information that's finalised to the point of being able to publicly post it is that I've been playing around with his name and possibly retconned the family relation he had before (nobody knows about this unless they followed his old blog one hundred years ago, if you remember that then congrats you won $100)
Currently I'm leaning toward his given name as Atsuki, I'm not settled on what the meaning of the first component is but it's basically got moon in it. Because of reasons. The family name would now become Shimo which means frost (hahaha) but is also apparently a term to refer to someone with white hair, which, he has white hair! I guess it might be a family trait now!
"Frost" is one of those nicknames that kind of function as a main/westernised name which is a style I've seen enough times used among pokemon muses that I'm going heck it I might give it a try.

Environment concept sketches for Colossus Fall.
Balor's shopping district. Characterized by many bridges and walkways going between multiple floors of buildings, such that you could walk from one end of the sector to the other without setting foot on the ground. As with the rest of the city, the higher up you go, the more shiny glass architecture, boutiques and spotless department stores you'll find.
Remote western mining station. A supply truck is seen exiting the checkpoint out of a well-guarded perimeter. Towering mine shafts, each with their own protomechanical crane arms for lifting out ore, dominate the horizon.
The view of the skull sector of Balor, as seen from inside a warm & cozy residential building.
An aether powered passenger train winds through impossibly tall skyscrapers. The track itself is also interlaced with aether, which grants it gravity-defying superphysicality.

Anyone else think short form social media based on algorithms designed to promote topics that create more engagement instead of more joy, the idea of fast fashion but conveyed through social media, and the fact you can monetize suffering and outrage better than ever has largely resulted in the death spiral of media literacy and the mass emergence of bad faith readings?
#I may be venting a lil but god it blows my mind#fyp is a blessing and a curse because i don't think ppl were ever meant to be subjected to this many ppl at once#god i took a bird site hiatus for weeks and now BARELY check it and it already feels like a hit#oughhhhh#even fandom spaces have hugely incorporated marketing and networking into them bc of cmms and sponsorship and building portfolio#which would be fine tbh if it weren't for the way socmed is designed#now it's like you can't support too many ppl or else you're shadow banned or you have to make yourself palatable and marketable#and websites with threads in which people will only read the first post before qrting because ratios are seen as five minutes of fame#features that permit beating an algorithm are locked behind a paywall that promises you money if you go viral#and what goes viral is usually incendiary content meant for those ratios or trends. whether for or against OP#even in hobbyist spaces the climate has changed so much due to the monetization and marketing and just. ugh#not to mention side accounts dedicated to gossip in this new priv account culture like...idk#if you have to make another account so you can make fun of a friend on main with selected priv friends it just doesn't sit well with me#and not every priv account does this but enough do and it makes me tired#unsolicited hate comments are still as bad as they used to be on ff dot net except now people openly are proud of it more#why do most socmed feel like passive aggressive sticky notes on high school lockers#there is so much more I could say about everything that has left me weary about the internet but I don't know the time or place#and I don't want anyone to think this is about them because it's a general statement. though if you are doing the more inflammatory things.#maybe rethink that. it's not good for anyone else and it's not good for you either#I keep coming back online to check on ppl and see art and I *know* it's draining for my health every time#but I feel a lot better now that i use socmed less overall. and that I try to focus on what makes me happy#it just sucks seeing so many people i care about endure absolutely wild struggles bc people online do not care.#I like rambling in my tags because this is the only place I ramble except my personal journal and to my wife

btw its interesting the way james tries to imply that like. well the videos that have plagiarism are the ones our dumb stupid annoying patrons requested about bad topics that didnt deserve to have the effort put in to covering them well so basically its fine. like obv thats interesting on its own but moreso the fact that he doesnt actually /say/ it, or like. give a list of the videos hes referring to, just says "those videos are very clear on which ones they were" i think as a nod meaning like "yknow the ones everyones talking about". unless what hes meaning is that like they put a note in certain videos saying "this video was requested by a patron, we here at james somertom incorporated do not espouse these views" which seems unlikely to me. idk methinks maybe it's because there is indeed a lot more than people think and with all the buzz he's not sure which ones have been discovered yet or not, so putting down a solid list that missed some would look like he was still hiding things whereas putting down a fully sourced list would be admitting to wayyyy more than anyone's found yet

I'm hoping this "not all the eggs are guaranteed to come back with you" is bluff.
Because at this point, having the players put in a situation where they could be blamed and receive massive hate for any of the eggs dying, would be a major oversight by the admin team.
Like, I'm sorry, but I'm not trusting the fandom to be cool about it, especially not Twitter.

here's a snippet of some scaramouche that i've been slaving over because i can fix him i swear i swear i can fix him he can be fixed he just needs some tlc-
syke i wish he was worse but yeah here's scara getting his shit kicked in so hard it knocks some sense into him. and by sense, i mean extremely unhealthy dependence and poor coping mechanisms.

“I need to go for a little longer-”
“I said stay.”
“I need to eat, Scaramouche.”
The name makes him flinch, his hand falling to the bed and leaving you bereft of his grip. A yearning little part of you misses it fiercely. Fear isn’t the right word when you pinpoint how wrong it is for you to have become attached like this, yet after having learned so much of his life in the span of moments, you feel an involuntary kinship that colors all your thoughts of him.
His reaction to the name isn’t explained. While most of him is tucked beneath the blankets of your bed, the hand that had been touching you lays above them with his palm to the sky and his fingers clenched into a loose fist. They only clench tighter as he pointedly looks up at the rafters and says, “Don’t come back, then.”
That strikes at you. His petulance is completely unwarranted, and you’re helpless to your own urge to plant your hands on your hips and call him out on it. “Make up your mind. Do you want me to stay, or do you want me to leave you alone? I’m going to have Tubby make up a second bedroom. Then you can hide out in there if you want to be a child.”
“I’m not-” With one movement, Scaramouche pushes himself up on a hand to sit up. His elbow shakes with the effort, clearly not up to the task of moving so quickly just yet. A sick sense of pride shoots through you with how solidly you’ve beaten him. Through grit teeth, he continues, “You’re the one coming and going as you please.”
“What’s gotten into you?”
Scaramouche flinches at your hiss, avoiding you all over again, judging by the stubborn set of his brow. Just like him, you’re exhausted, and you don’t have the time nor energy to entertain his whims right now. With purpose, you turn your head and call for your teapot spirit. In a dusting of tiny fireworks and drifting petals, Tubby appears and opens their beak to begin bombarding you with everything they’ve been waiting to say.
And you’ll give them that when you have time, but for now you hold a finger to your lips and they get the hint. Folding the sleeves of their robes together, Tubby listens as you ask, “Can you bring me something to eat? It doesn’t matter what, don’t trouble yourself too much.”
“Of course! Give me a little time, and I’ll have something splendid for you!”
Your request to not go out of their way is entirely lost to the empty spaces in the room as they disappear. Blowing out a long sigh that feels too much like resignation, you carefully sit on the side of Scaramouche’s bed, your back turned to him and your hands on your knees to brace yourself. When Tubby comes back, you’ll get them working on that second room.
In the meantime, the hand along your spine returns, this time splayed out with a palm pressing firmly against you. It’s a simple touch, one that you close your eyes and relish now that he can’t quite see your face. The expectant moment lingers with a quiet anticipation before Scaramouche breaks it without remorse.
“Why did you do it?”
“Bring you here?” Shuffling behind you, and you assume it’s a nod. “Would you believe me if I said I empathize with you?”
“One little peek at my memories, and we’re suddenly friends now? You feel sorry for me?”
“Is that so bad?” Your head turns so you can look at him out of the corner of your eye. Though he’d been quiet and restrained, it’s clear that there’s fury bubbling beneath the surface that you now must quell. “I think we’re more alike than you realize. Yes, I felt sorry because you never deserved any of that, even after all the problems you’ve caused as a result.”
“I’m not some good guy under all this, you know. I’m not putting on some front to trick you - this is who I am.”
Behind your eyelids, you see him in white, curled in the cavernous wooden halls of his domain and clutching himself in the mockery of a hug. Tears run down his cheeks, one after another, in a constant stream of loneliness and despondency. Perhaps that isn’t him anymore, but neither is this tyrant that’s bent on the divinity he was meant to receive.

Do you plan on using Morningflower's two deceased kits are in the missing kits? Or Eaglekit?
Yes, I am planning to use those three at some point. That's Eagleswoop, Quailheart, and Storkfeather.
I keep doing little 'side projects' to make it make sense in my head. I just made a rough timeline so I could see how I'd be filling out the shuffled space between the Campaign Era and the Thistle Period, here's a preview for you since those three are relevant to it;
Just so I'd sort of have a visual, to make sure there isn't a year where absolutely no kits were born. Though, as you can see, the births thinned out in the late Campaign Era which I think is good. It makes sense that less kids would be born when the Clan's in the middle of a bloody, exhausting war.
I'm finding that this project includes a lot of "sidequesting." It's such a small Clan with so few relations to begin with, so that means that I'm like... getting acquainted with the characters and how they fit together by doing exercises like this. Shuffling their places a few times and seeing what sticks.
More fragments I've got so far;
I'm REALLY feeling that Hillrunner and Downwind are twins. Identical twins; pure black cats.
I'm also feeling that they are the children of Crowfur.
Downwind is probably the parent of Nightcloud and Tawnyfur.
I feel that Darkfoot was the cousin of Hill and Down, and the parent of Web and Running
Drizzle and Rustle are probably technically cousins; but Webfoot is going to adopt their child after Running is killed, making them adoptive siblings.
Whiskernose, as you can see, is not born in Po3 anymore. He's actually an older guy, and has an expanded role as a Dark Forest cat.
Whintail is probably going to get buckled in as his brother, having kittens while Whisker doesn't have any,
Flytail is probably going to end up as the father of Stoneclaw and Thrushwing, but he dies on the night of the massacre with Thrush. There is a chance, though, that he becomes the father of Quailheart and Storkfeather instead.
Morningflower will probably not be having surviving kits, I kinda like the idea of her just never having another after Gorsepaw.
Speaking of Gorsepaw; Gorsetail TNP is now WHINTAIL because I want Gorsetail PO3 to have been named after him. Gorsetail's parent was probably one of Morningflower's apprentices.
Shrewclaw doesn't die in Tallstar's Collapse. I really don't like how he had like... a noble death in battle and a tearful goodbye with Tallstar when he was his bully. I'd rather keep him around as a problem, even compete with Talltail for deputyship.
I don't want to bloat the TNP apprentice generation too much, so that every cat is meaningful. Owl, Weasel, Drizzle, and Rustle were apprentice-age OR YOUNGER on the Great Journey
Cranberrysplash, Crowfeather/foot, and Gorsetail were young warriors, less than 2 years old and ineligible for apprentices.
The Po3 WindClan Apprentice Generation's size is small on purpose to keep the intimate feel for Po3, and allow enough time to explore them all

Hey I wanna get into watching foolish more, does he have any sort of schedule? I know he streams a lot anyway but I was curious
Okay Anon I’m gonna be so real if you’re anywhere in Europe prepare to be up late 😅
Foolish doesn’t necessarily have a strict stream schedule, just tries to stream every day for at least a few hours. But he usually streams for 6ish hours most days.
He lives in North Carolina so these times are for there because it’s his most used stream space. If he’s in Ohio or LA then say goodbye to any schedule.
But typically he’ll start stream around 1pm est but it’s not unusual for him to be a bit later around 2-4pm est (which all this is around 7-11pm European time). Then he’ll stream until around 10-12pm est (3-5am European 😔). If he doesn’t start stream around 4-6pm est(11pm-1am European) then doozers start calling for the worst as it means he probably won’t be streaming :(
