Note
i have a req for arvy…him admitting his feelings to you and he’s so nervous but when you reciprocate he kisses you so hard and holds you so tight argh 🫶🫶
arvin russell has never been the best at being good, despite what the elders of the town had said when he was a teenager. he was perfectly polite, always cared for his sister and went to church even though he and his family were the oddballs. though, since his “disappearance”, he’s past it all now, knows full well that anyone who used to know him from that barren town thinks he’s some urban legend gone down to hell.
not you, though.
in this new southern town, you’re the only one who arvin talks to. he figures that your kindness had been there since you were born, that it had been embedded in your veins because of the soft cadence in which you speak. you figure that he’s a lot cuter than the other boys in your town, not to mention the amount of help he’d been right after he’d moved in next door to you. lately, he’s always volunteering to give you rides, always around to help you with your garden.
he’s surprised now to find you in the dingy bar in town sipping on a beer and rejecting the advances of other men, daggers in your eyes that soften immediately when he sits on the stool next to you.
“didn’t know you drank.”
“fuck else is there to do in this shitty town?” you scoff. he snorts, eyebrows raising. you hardly ever cuss in public.
“lots, probably, if you gave any of these poor boys a chance, huh?”
“ha. none of them are worth my time.”
“why’re you still talking to me then?” arvin tries carefully.
you swallow a lump in your throat, smiling sheepishly at him. “because you are.”
it doesn’t take very much for arvin’s cheeks to heat up, roseate flush decorating his features. it’s not as noticeable to you in the low light of the bar, thank god.
“wanna go on a drive?” he asks. you nod.
it doesn’t take much convincing for you to get in the passenger seat of his car. for half an hour, he lets you talk. it feels liberating for you, so liberating that you have to ask him if it’s okay, but he chuckles and asks you more questions. you don’t remember the last time someone had asked something about you.
“you tired?” arvin asks you when the conversation is at a lull. he notices you slumped in your seat.
“no. just lookin’ at the stars.”
he looks at you for a long time until you blink back at him. his brown eyes on the road flicker with some sort of wanting, something that conveys a message you can’t quite decipher. you fiddle with the knob of his radio until it lands on something folk-y, a woman’s voice crooning about her lost lover.
“pull over.”
he listens to you. he can’t imagine not doing so — he never has when he’d help you cook dinner or garden or study.
“what’s up?”
“didn’t wanna waste your gas,” you giggle. “and it’s pretty outside. c’mon.”
arvin follows you onto the front of his car, in which the two of you hoist your bodies onto the hood and look up at the velvety black sky, scattered with stars. he’s scrounging for conversation, looking for something to fill the air so he can full the neurons firing within his body just from his closeness. right when you put your palm over his hand, he stops breathing.
“what’re you thinking about, pretty boy?” you coo.
“you’re drunk, aren’t ya?”
“’m not. what makes you think that?” you furrow your brows.
“y’just called me pretty boy.”
“i’m an honest person, arvin russell.”
an awkward beat. the car’s still running. bobby vinton sings from the car radio like a faraway ghost.
“what are you thinking about?” you ask him.
silence settles uneasily, and arvin thinks that if he were to answer your question with pure honesty, he’d ruin everything. there’s not enough beer in his system for him to make up something on the spot, so he stays quiet. he busies himself with squeezing the joints of your fingers carefully, mindlessly. he can’t look at your face.
“not much,” he asks quietly.
“that’s a lie,” you retort. “you’re very expressive, arvin, even when you think you’re bein’ stoic. i know there’s a shit ton going on in that pretty little head of yours. so tell me.”
he huffs out a breath, leaning back onto the windshield as he faces the sky. his eyelashes flutter like a hummingbird’s wings knowing that your drunken gaze is fixed on him, searing into him, waiting.
“i haven’t been able to get you off my mind for a second, y/n l/n,” he mumbles. “not since you accidentally hit me with a baseball and blamed it on little tanner wick.”
he looks at you now, finally, pupils blown out like flying saucers. or maybe it was the lack of light in the secluded hiding place you two were.
“who said i did that?” you try to hide your smirk, playing with a loose thread from the linen of your dress.
“the kid is five years old.”
“he’s a prodigy.”
he chuckles, shaking his head. “well, i looked up, and i saw you, and it felt like my whole world changed.”
“must’ve hit you too hard.”
“probably.”
the softness of his voice cracks you open and has you raw, but you’d rather die that be splayed out and vulnerable in front of arvin russell like this. hot blood pumps through your ears in anticipation.
“i think about you all the time, arvin,” you whisper.
it’s then when the knot in arvin’s chest untangles. instead, he’s wrapped up in you, freely flowing, especially when you inch closer to him so he can smell your hair. fresh picked daisies surrounds his senses.
you don’t really know how this is supposed to go. sure, boys have courted you before in high school, but in the form of childish notes and rehearsed speeches for school dances. the feel of arvin’s breath against your neck has you wired — this is different. this is unprecedented territory.
your nose twitches slightly like a rabbit’s when he pulls back to look at your face clearly, and he realizes that his emotional reaction to that tiny gesture alone means that he’s in love with you. he could never tell you that, though. but he says it silently with a kiss, pink mouth chapped against yours. there is a string between the two of you that tightens and tightens and tightens and you’re sure that you’re about to mesh into one very soon. the euphoria of it all has you spellbound.
he sucks on your bottom lip experimentally, sweetly, and there’s a dewy ache inside of you that’s all too tantalizing. he pulls away before you can do anything about it, ragged breaths falling from his mouth as he grips your thigh under your dress.
“what?” you rasp, smiling, holding his jaw.
arvin returns a grin and twirls your hair in between his rough fingers.
“think i might have to keep you, now.”

Fire Meet Gasoline
Pairing: Arvin Russel x Reader
Synopsis: when you see your ex boyfriend in public, you ask the closet stranger to pretend to be your boyfriend

Tumblr media
Arvin wasn’t one to offer help to people, much less a stranger, but you had caught his eye. He stood by his car after filling his tank with gas and watched you stare at the gas pumps with a puzzled look on your face. He had seen you pull into the gas station with such confidence, but that was all gone now that you had to pick the right pump to put in your car. Arvin debated driving away and letting you figure it out by yourself since after all, he didn’t even know you. But after watching you hesitantly reaching for the diesel for the third time, he decided to speak up.
“Need help miss?” He asked as he approached you. You stiffened up at the sound of his voice and took an instinctive step away from him.
“No. I’m fine, thanks.” You replied without looking at him.
“You sure about that?” Arvin asked as he watched you hesitantly pick up the diesel pump.
“Said I don’t need any help from the likes of you, all right?” You said again. “Just leave me alone and go on your way.”
“Sorry miss. Didn’t mean to trouble you. Just noticed you was putting diesel in your car, is all.” Arvin said and raised his hands in defense.
“Diesel?” You paused and looked down at the pump in your hands.
“Yeah, darling. That right there is diesel.”
“Psh. I knew that. I like diesel.” You lied and brought the pump over to your car.
“Oh, my bad. Didn’t know that. Can I ask if you also like your car blowing up?” Arvin asked sarcastically.
“Excuse me?”
“Diesel will clog your fuel system and keep the car from startin. If you push the gas pedal too much, whole car will burst in flames. Seen it happen right in front of me once. The guy barely made it out alive.”
“Oh.” You froze and looked down at the pump in your hands.
“Could help you out, if you like.” He offered again.
“No thank you. I said I was fine.” You repeated, in a kinder tone this time. Arvin nodded and took a step back as he watched you put the diesel pump back. You looked between the other two pumps for a minute before hesitantly grabbing the one in the middle.
“Um….” You hesitatingly looked to Arvin to see if you were about to make another fatal mistake. He shook his head and held up one finger to let you know you needed pump number one. You gave him a tight smile before putting back the pump in your hand and picking up the first one. You put the pump in your car and just stood there until Arvin put his hand over yours to squeeze the pump. You felt the gas flow out and looked at Arvin with an embarrassed smile.
“Thanks.” You said quietly.
“No problem, doll.” He chuckled and felt his face flush from how close you were.
“Sorry I was short with you before. I have a hard time trusting men sometimes.” You admitted without looking into his eyes.
“Yeah? Seems we have that in common.”
“I just didn’t know if you were gonna fill my car up and then try to get me to repay you or something.”
“Repay me?”
“You know. With a kiss or something.”
“Darling, I’m no gentlemen, but I’m no villain either. I’d never try and get you to do something you didn’t want to do. Just saw a pretty lady struggling and wanted to offer my help. That’s all.” Arvin assured you, and you felt yourself believing him.
“Oh. Well thats very nice of you. Sorry I was rude.”
“No need to be sorry. Got a sister back home and I hope she’s half as vigilant as you are. Can’t trust nobody in this town. Especially not the men.” Arvin said and looked around the gas station.
“Don’t I know it.” You sighed. Arvin noticed the sadness in your voice and gave you a long look. He hadn’t seen you around before, which was strange since he thought he knew everyone in town. You were awfully pretty and the fact that you were a little mean to him made him like you even more.
“My names Arvin, by the way.” He told you.
“Y/n.” You smiled warmly at him.
“Nice to meet you, Y/n.” He returned the smile.
“You too, Arvin. Thanks again for the lesson.” You replied. You finished pumping the gas in your car and watched as Arvin returned the pump so you would know what to do next time.
“I’m really smart, by the way.” You said after a beat of silence.
“Huh?” He laughed in surprise.
“I’m really smart. I’m a school teacher down by the church. I went to college too. And I was the top of my class.” You told him, adding something every time you thought of a different example of your intelligence.
“Is that so?” Arvin asked, still confused what point you were making.
“I’m just telling you this so you don’t think I’m some dumb damsel in distress. I’m usually very smart but my daddy used to fill my car for me and never taught me how. He said it wasn’t a lady’s job to do it.”
“Well where’s your daddy now? Cause somebody needs to stop you from blowing yourself up.” Arvin chuckled.
“He don’t speak to me no more.” You said quietly, making Arvin feel guilty for poking fun at you.
“Oh. Sorry to hear that.” He said sincerely.
“It’s fine. I know what to do now thanks to you.“
“It was no trouble, darling. And next time, use this pump. Stay away from the diesel.” Arvin said and tapped the correct pump.
“I will. Thank you.” You smiled at him before looking over his shoulder. Arvin watched the way your smile dropped and the color drained from your face.
“Oh shoot.” You whispered.
“What’s wrong? Look like you’ve seen a ghost.” Arvin frowned and looked over his shoulder to try to find what you were looking at.
“My ex boyfriends just pulled up.” You gulped and pointed. Arvin immediately felt curious to see what kind of guy you used to date to see if he had a chance with you. When he saw a man in a red and white pinstripe shirt and white pants coming out of a flashy car, he cracked an amused smile.
“That candy ass used to be your boyfriend?” Arvin couldn’t help but laugh.
“Hush. He’ll hear you.” You whispered desperately and tugged on Arvins shirt to get him to stand in front of you.
“How come he’s dressed like a candy cane?” Arvin genuinely asked as he used his body to block you from your ex boyfriends view.
“I mean it, Arvin. Hush up.” You whispered harshly.
“Whats got you so wound up, baby doll? Did he take the breakup hard or something?”
“Truth is, he used to beat up on me.” You admitted. “It took all the strength I had to leave him. If he sees me right now, I’m scared of what he might do to get me back.”
“He beat on you?” Arvin looked over his shoulder again and felt his hands ball into fists. He found your unwillingness to be seen funny before, but was furious now. He looked at your ex with a clenched jaw and took a protective step in front of you.
“I’m sorry. I shouldn’t be telling all this to a stranger.” You apologized, making Arvin look at you like you were crazy. He put his hands on your shoulders and rubbed up and down to try and calm you down.
“No, no it’s okay, darling. I don’t mind the story. Just mind the characters.” Arvin assured you before giving your ex another angry look. He didn’t want to lose his temper in front of you, but the thought of this pretentious guy beating up a school teacher was making his blood boil. He could feel his face getting hotter the longer he looked at your ex and the urge to beat him up got stronger.
“I know this is a little crazy to ask, but would you mind…” You started to ask but trailed off.
“Mind what?”
“Nothing. Forget it. Never mind.” You shook your head.
“Just ask me, darling. Worst I’ll say is no.”
“Would you mind doing something to make him think we’re together? Like kissing me or something?” You whispered through an embarrassed smile.
“Oh, so now you do want me to kiss you? I thought you were mean to me because you didn’t want me to try and kiss you.” Arvin smiled teasingly. He knew the gravity of the situation and was trying to calm you down a little so you wouldn’t be freaked out.
“I know what I said before.” You rolled your eyes. “But this is important. If he thinks I got a boyfriend, he’ll leave me alone.”
“I see. And you want me to pretend to be your boyfriend?”
“Just until he’s gone.”
“I think I can manage that.” Arvin shrugged before pulling you into a kiss. He slipped and arm around your waist and pressed you against your car to kiss you, taking your breath away in the process. You didn’t feel time moving as you kissed him but did feel the fear leaving your body. After spending the last eight months thinking all love ever did was break and burn and end, you felt it begin again. When you pulled away, you looked into Arvins eyes, no longer feeling like he was a stranger.
“Well I’ll be. Didn’t think I’d be seeing you ever again, toots. What are you doing here?” Your ex asked, making you and Arvin jump in surprise. You’d been so engrossed in each other that you hadn’t heard him walk up. Arvin could feel you shaking so he tightened his grip on your waist and shifted his body weight forward in a threatening way.
“What are we doing here? At the gas station? Take a fat fucking guess, dip shit. We’re putting gas in her car.” Arvin scoffed and looked at your ex like it was ridiculous to ask. You let out a shocked laugh and turned your face to the side to try and hide it. Your ex noticed the way Arvins arm was around you and his eyes darkened.
“I’m sorry, who the hell is this?” He asked you, the anger in his voice giving you flashbacks to worse times.
“Arvin Russel. Y/n’s boyfriend. And you are?” Arvin asked and held out a hand. You could tell this bothered your ex to hear you had a new boyfriend and felt your power come back to you. His face turned white as he looked at Arvin in shock. You tightened your grip on Arvin and looked up at him with a loving smile to really sell your story.
“Chuck Greenwood.” Chuck said and hesitantly shook Arvins hand. Arvin made sure to squeeze Chucks hand hard enough to make it hurt as he shook it.
“I didn’t realize you had a boyfriend.” Chuck said to you as he pulled his hand away from Arvin.
“Well I do.” You shrugged and leaned in Arvin. Chucks eyes brewed with jealousy as he watched the two of you.
“I guess I would’ve known that if you ever answered my calls. Must be too busy moving on. Which you did pretty fast, one might say. Didn’t realize you were such a quick girl.” Chuck said in a condescending tone.
“Fuck you, Chuck.” You scoffed, taking everyone by surprise.
“What did you just say to me?” Chuck raised his voice.
“Believe she said fuck you, Chuck.” Arvin repeated with a shrug.
“Yeah. I did. I don’t answer your calls cause I don’t want to hear your nasty, agitating voice no more. And I moved on fast because I knew the entire time that I was with you that I wanted something better for myself. So as soon as I got away from you, I went and found better. And you don’t get to be mad about that.” You stated. You weren’t shaking anymore but Arvin still kept his arm securely around your waist.
“Who do you think you’re talking to?” Chuck growled and stepped up to you.
“You.” You said and shoved him back. Chuck stumbled back in surprise before clenching his fist. Arvin got ready to fight, but you were one step ahead of him. You grabbed the diesel pump and aimed it at Chuck like it was a gun. Chuck was immediately disarmed and held up his hands.
“You don’t scare me no more. Especially not when you’re dressed like a candy cane.” You said in a low voice. Arvin smiled proudly that you used his insult and leaned against your car to watch you.
“Now get lost before I spray you.” You added and held the pump up higher. Chuck ran away from you, tripping over his own feet before getting into his car to drive away.
“Where did that come from?” Arvin laughed in surprise once you were alone again.
“I have no idea. But it felt really good.” You smiled in excitement as you put the pump back.
“I bet it did. I’m proud of you, darlin. I hope you’re proud of yourself too.” Arvin smiled fondly at you.
“You know, I am. Thanks for your help, Arvin. I couldn’t have done that without you.”
“You’re very welcome, miss. But I think you could’ve gotten along without me just fine. What’s the story with him anyway?”
“He works at the mechanic shop my daddy owns. I don’t have any brothers so Chuck was like a son to him. Was even gonna pass down the family business to him. When I finally told my parents how he’d been treating me…”
“They took his side?” Arvin asked, hoping the answer was no. Instead, you gave him a sad smile and nodded your head.
“My parents said all men were like that. Told me to suck it up and marry him anyway so that we’d have someone to give the family business to once my daddy was gone.”
“I’m sorry, darling. That’s no fair. No fair at all.”
“I know. And that wasn’t even the end of it. When I told my daddy I broke up with Chuck, he told me he never wanted to see me again. Haven’t spoken to him since.” You said with a sad shrug. Arvin frowned and felt the urge to pull you into a hug and tell you everything would be okay. Since you were still pretty much strangers, he just put a hand on your shoulder and gave it a squeeze.
“My daddy wasn’t a good man either. I know it hurts.” He said in a soft tone. You looked into Arvins eyes and could tell this was not an emotion he was used to exhibiting. You gave him an appreciative smile and put your hand over his.
“Something else we have in common then.” You smiled coyly.
“Maybe we should go out sometime. You know, see what else we have in common.” Arvin suggested as a blush painted his cheeks. You noticed this and felt your heart flutter in your chest. For the first time in a long time, you trusted someone new. You took a pen out of your pocketbook before taking Arvins hand and writing your number on his wrist.
“This is my number. I promise I’ll pick up.”
“I promise I’ll call.” He grinned as he read over the number.
“I should really get going. But it was very nice to meet you, Arvin.” You smiled warmly at him and unlocked your car. Arvin opened the door for you so that you could get in, convincing you further that giving him a chance was the right thing to do.
“Was nice to meet you too, doll.” Arvin smirked as he shut your car door for you. You gave him a wave and started your car before pulling away.
“Wait a minute.” Arvin called out and jogged after your car. You stopped the car and rolled down your window to look at him.
“Aren’t you gonna kiss your boyfriend goodbye?” He smiled coyly as he leaned down to your window. You playfully rolled your eyes at him before leaning out the window to kiss him. You knew it was crazy to be kissing a man you just met, even for the second time, but it felt right.
“Goodbye. I mean it this time.” You laughed and pulled away.
When you got home that night, your phone rang before you even had a chance to set your bag down. Your heart skipped a beat as you went over to answer it.
“Hello?” You said into the phone, hoping to hear Arvins voice again.
“Hey.” Arvin replied. “So am I gonna have to wait until the next time you need gas to see you or are you free tomorrow night?”

hold your horses! (t.h)
Tumblr media
tom holland x reader
summary: rumors fly during an interview leading to a shock announcement for tom and his girlfriend
a/n: inspired by a tiktok i saw months ago and have not stopped thinking abt since i literally could not think of one panel-type event that wasnt comic-con i am so sorry flsjsjksjs
・°☆.。.:・°☆.。.:・°☆
Tom shifts in his seat, running one hand through his curls as he tries to keep his face animated and stop his eyes glazing over. he's been sat on a vaguely uncomfortable chair for the last hour or so at Comic-Con, promoting his latest movie and as much as he loves his job and the fans, all he wants to do is crawl into bed and curl up next to you for a good twelve hours.
"Tom?" prompts the interviewer.
"I- I'm so sorry, what was your question?" he asks, flushing in embarrassment at being caught zoning out.
"Is Y/N here today?" repeats the interviewer patiently.
Tom grins at the mention of your name and he sits up taller, eyes scanning the crows until he finds you, hoodie pulled up over your head to hide from eagle-eyed fans.
"She is, yeah. I basically dragged her here so we could kind of spend time together, as an apology." he admits.
"An apology?" the interviewer says. "What did you do, Tom?"
"Yeah, what did you do, Tom?" echoes one of his co-stars, laughing.
"I fell asleep during our movie date." Tom admits sheepishly, shaking his head at the roar of laughter from the crowd. "Twenty minutes in, I was out cold."
"You didn't!" laughs the interviewer. "What did she do?"
"She was the absolute best, of course. She just held me and stroked my hair and wrapped me up in a blanket and then stayed on the sofa with me all night." he says, eyes crinkling at the general "awww" from the crowd.
The interviewer's eyes glint mischievously as Tom tells his story, clearly sensing a way to divert the interview to The Good Stuff™.
"So speaking of Y/N, there's been a lot of talk about you two online recently." he starts. "Specifically, engagement rumors? Is there any basis, any truth to these rumors?"
Tom shifts around as he stalls for time until he can meet your eyes in the crowd, raising his fluffy eyebrow ever so slightly to silently ask if you're okay with him talking about your relationship. You give him a tiny nod, encouraging him to go on.
"No, we're not engaged." he says. "But we've honestly never been happier than we are right now. She's so creative, and caring, and funny, and gorgeous. There's no one else I'd rather spend my life with."
You can't help but feel slightly choked up as he gushes, resisting the urge to throw off your hoodie and run up to the stage, crushing him into a bear hug and never letting go.
"WHEN ARE YOU PROPOSING?!" yells a particularly enthusiastic fan, rousing cheers from the rest of the crowd and the cast members on stage.
Tom laughs as he winks at you again.
"When I'm sure she'll say yes."
This, of course, results in almost hysterical screams (affectionate).
You pull your phone from your pocket, tapping on Tom's contact and typing out a message. He's watching you of course, so when he feels his phone buzz in his pocket he pulls it out, cheering like an excited seven year old, "I got a text! From Y/N!"
Y/N 💗: i'd marry you in a heartbeat baby <3
He blows a kiss in your direction, grinning from ear to ear. As he's distracted, gazing at you lovingly, a co-star leans over his shoulder and reads the text.
"Holy shit!" they laugh. "Did Tom Holland just get engaged?"
The screams reach an all-time record and you wince slightly, bringing a hand up to your ringing ear. Tom snatches his phone closer, rolling his eyes.
"Hold your horses!" he laughs. "Let me check."
He balances the microphone in his left hand as he types out a quick message.
tommy 🤠: Did we just get engaged??
Y/N 💗: we will be when you give me that rock hidden at the back of your sock drawer 😳
Tom's soft brown eyes crinkle around the edges as he grins all but leaps up from his chair.
"Is this interview wrapping up soon?" He asks cheekily. "I've got to go get engaged."

“Momma’s taking me to get my hair done again tomorrow.” Betty bragged, earning ‘oohs’ and ‘ahhh’ from the small group of girls that sat with her, all except you. You were hardly paying attention to the bratty girl who you hardly considered a close friend of yours. You hung out with the clique at school, participated in most of the conversations, but you weren’t close enough with any of them to see them anywhere else besides during school. In fact, there were many times when you would sit or walk with them, but not be entirely there, this being one of them as you glanced at the boy across the lunch yard from you.
Arvin Russell, to many a quiet boy who made no difference in the course of their life, but to you, he was everything. You two were certainly a pair, nothing official in the eyes of others, but together you shared a connection so strong, you couldn’t imagine any sort of realistic future without him. You kept your relationship on the down low, preferring to meet up in private and only steal quick glances in public when others were around, especially your small girl crew. Even Arvin’s sister Lenora had no idea about you two, though she had her suspicions Arvin was with someone while he was out all evening doing what he played off as ‘studying’ or ‘partner work.’
Your secrecy wasn’t that you were ashamed of him, the complete opposite actually. The girls you hung around were considered quite popular in your small town high school, all stupid rich with the finest clothes and nothing, but the best cuisine for lunch (how they got such fancy food in a rural town was beyond you). From past drama, you also knew them to have a nasty habit of stealing one another’s partners, especially Betty who claimed she was better off alone, but had a different fling every month that she always ended up dumping. Though you weren’t completely sure, you knew that the news of your relationship with Arvin would put you both at risk of breaking up due to pressure and the chance for him to score someone better off than you, financially. Your insecurities had come up in conversation before with the boy you loved so dearly, but even after he had assured you that he would never do such a thing, you took no chances. Arvin was yours and you were forever his.
Your heart fluttered as you saw Arvin turn his head, meeting your stare as he grinned and winked at you. You blushed, hiding your smile by covering your mouth with your hand and subtly waving for him to turn back around in an attempt to get your head back into the conversation. You wouldn’t have succeeded if it weren’t for Ivy, another girl in the group who was seated next to you.
“Whatcha looking at y/n?”
You turned to her, eyes wide as you quickly regained composure and shrugged it off.
“Oh you know me! Always gawking off.” you awkwardly laughed, hoping to play it off. To your dismay, all the girls turned to look where you had been staring, seeing the back of Arvin’s hat covered head as he  obeyed your command to turn away, hiding his own grin.
“Hey, isn’t he that Russell boy?” one of the other girls asked, pointing him out. Your stomach dropped as conversation erupted around the boy who had your heart, something you definitely did not mean to happen.
“I hear he’s fucking his sister.”
“Oh don’t be silly Majorie! That boy couldn’t fuck a sock of he tried! He’s a virgin.”
“I don’t know about that. I’m betting you he has a whole six pack hidden under all that denim. Just look at those thighs!”
“You’re right. I bet he fucks better than half the actors in those rom-coms they keep coming out with.”
“None of those people are actually fucking, you idiot. That’s why it’s called acting.”
“Oh right, acting.”
You had heard enough. As if listening to them insult your beloved wasn’t enough to make you rage, the remarks they made about his body almost caused you to erupt. They were no better than the boys who harassed you all, sexualizing him in such a way, but you said nothing as you dusted off your skirt and packed up the rest of your lunch to leave. Betty, the unofficial ring leader, noticed as she perked up.
“Where ya going y/n?”
You smiled at her, hoping to not give away your anger.
“I just need to visit the ladies room before next period. I’ll see y’all later.”
“Do you want someone to go with you?” she offered, likely to send someone else instead of going herself. You shook your head. No way were you taking one of them with you.
“I’m alright thanks. Y’all can stay here and keep chatting, I don’t mind.”
Betty eyed you suspiciously, wondering what exactly you were hiding, but she didn’t voice her suspicions as she waved you off.
“Ok then, see ya.”
You walked back into the building and to your locker, spinning the lock dial to unlock it so you could put your lunch away and grab your books. As you opened the door, a folded piece of blue-lined paper fell from one of the aeration holes, fluttering down as it traveled to the floor, light as a feather. Once your hands were emptied, you bent over to pick it up and unfolded it. There were words written upon it, scribbled out in familiar handwriting that had you smiling at as you read through it.
Movie tonight? -A
You held it against your chest, closest to your heart as butterflies flew through your gut. You felt like flying right out of your shoes. As if it couldn’t get better, a voice sounded from behind you, low and slightly southern accented as the very person who wrote the note called out.
“So, what do ya say?” Arvin asked.
You turned around to find him stalking closer, noticing his hat slightly askew on his head as he neared you.
“I don’t know, that depends. Will there be … popcorn?” You asked, popping the p in a sultry tone and pausing for effect as you crossed your arms.
“Sure will.” he affirmed.
“And what about … soda?”
He leaned against the locker next to yours,  inches away as he smirked at you.
“All different kinds.”
You leaned against your open locker door, facing him as you wore your own smirk. You reached out to fix his hat, turning it so that it lay straight in his head as it should.
“But will there be … candy?”
He chuckled, reaching for the hand that you had used to fix his hat and entwining his fingers with yours.
“Why ya tryna be difficult darling? Of course there’d be candy.”
You giggled as he placed a chaste kiss on the back of your hand.
“We’ll in the case, I don’t see why I shouldn’t go.” you agreed, knowing both of you were very well aware that your answer would be yes all along. Arvin beamed at you.
“Great. I’ll pick ya up at 8:00 then and we’ll head over to the drive-in.”
“Sounds like a plan.”
Arvin leaned in, looking into your eyes and down at your lips. You didn’t pull away as he planted a kiss on them, pulling away for a second before going back in to kiss you again, really kiss you as his lips met yours. You almost gave in, never having gotten over the indescribable feeling of kissing him, but you knew better than to let him do that in public. You pulled away and scrunched your eyebrows in disapproval, a habit you had that Arvin loved. He thought you were extremely cute.
“Arvin,” you scolded. “Not in public. You know that.”
He shrugged, sliding a hand up to your face to cup your cheek, caressing it with his thumb.
“I’m sorry darling. Couldn’t help myself. You’re just so goddamn gorgeous.”
You blushed, turning to look at the floor and you pulled from his grasp and turned to walk the other way, the direction of your next class. You hoped he hadn’t seen your cheeks redden, but you knew he had.
“Later.” you called back to him, turning to smile at him as he smirked at you.
“Later then. I’ll pick you up tonight.”
“Don’t be late.” you teased, in a warning tone.
“Wouldn’t dream of it.”
He closed your locker door for you, turning the opposite directions to head to his own class.
As promised, Arvin picked you up on time, even a few minutes early to give you plenty of time to pick out your snacks. You held his hand the whole way there, his thumb tracing soothing circles on the back of your hand, the car ride silent save for the light radio playing. You didn’t talk, but you were both perfectly happy. Comfortable in each other’s presence and thankful for one another.
Arvin found a nice parking spot near the back of the drive-in, making sure it was still in view of the movie screen and yet out of the way of the projector to avoid being illuminated by it.
After the sun had set and the cool darkness of the new night blew in, the movie began playing and you two watched the beginning. As the night went on, you had eaten through a third of your popcorn and drank most of your soda as Arvin snacked on a some candy, but your snacks were tossed aside halfway through the film as you two got less involved in the movie and more involved in each other, caught up in a heated kiss. You couldn’t exactly recall how it started, who initiated it, any of the details really. All you knew was that he smelled like the cologne you knew him to wear since the day you two met and he tasted like red vines.
Your arms were wrapped around his neck, holding you closer to him as he had his own around your waist, supporting you so you could do just that. You felt sparks as your lips moved against one another, slow turning to passionate in mere moments. You felt his tongue against your lower lip, seeking entrance which you denied playfully, grinning against his mouth. Arvin moved one of his hands down and lightly pinched your bum, causing you to gasp in surprise and giving him the opportunity to explore your mouth as he wished. You gave in, pulling on the roots of his hair as payback while simultaneously never wanting the moment to end as you moved your tongue in sync with his. There were no leaders, no one followed the other. It was a bond, simple as that, a bond that you shared and you personally never wanted to break.
As the movie continued on, you found yourself moving more and more onto Arvin’s lap until you were straddling him, your hands tangled in his hair as he fondled with your bum, feeling you all over, anywhere he could reach. Your lungs burned as they longed for air, your breathing heavy as you and Arvin’s lips finally left each other’s. You looked at him through your lashes, you head tilted down as you sat a little higher above him than you would at your usual height, his lap giving you a small boost. He eyed you in front of him, breathing heavily as his left hand moved up your body to cup your face, his thumb tugging at your now puffy and red bottom lip. He leaned in closer, your noses touching as he mumbled against your lips.
“You’re beautiful, you know that?”
You chuckled, nuzzling your nose against his. It was now that heat would have flushed out your cheeks, but they were already rosy from kissing him.
“No more sweet talk, Russell. Kiss me again.”
“I only said one thing.”
“Mmm, I know, but it was too much.”
You pecked his lips, ready for it to get as intense as it was again until Arvin smirked and pulled away, fake glaring at you after you rejected his compliment. You were the one who cupped his chin this time, smiling at him.
“Hey. You know I’m just joking.”
You leaned into him, resting your forehead against his as he helped adjust you so that you sat comfortably against him, his arms wrapping back around you.
“I love you Arvin Russell.” you confessed.
It wasn’t the first time, you had already said your firsts months ago, but the effect you had on him, especially when you said those words, it never wore off. It was the same for him. Those three little words and he would have you melting, effortlessly, every damn time. Like a weakness, they got you at your most vulnerable. He pecked your lips again, this time with a little more force, his lips lingering on yours for a little longer. He picked up his head to break it, only for a second as he told you sincerely, “I love you, y/n y/l/n.” and before you knew it, his lips were back on your and you started making out again, intertwined and not to be unwound until at least the end of the movie.
School the next day felt long, nothing out of the norm, but you didn’t like it regardless. Not when you could be away from it all in the passenger's side of Arvin’s car as he drove you two to your special picnic spot. But alas, you were stuck with your cliché girl clique, dreaming of a weekend picnic. You had to remember to tell Arvin.
After your morning classes, you walked with one of the girls, Ivy, to your usual lunch spot when you noticed the other girls weren’t sitting down at your table like they normally would be. Instead you were horrified to see them all gathered around a table that was the usual lunch spot of a certain someone. You were stunned as Ivy dragged you towards them, listening as you heard them giggle and flirt with your boyfriend. There was no way they could have known, no way they found out about him so easily.
“I love that hat on you, Arvin.”
“Whatcha eating for lunch Arvin? How’s the taste?”
“Been working loads, Arvin? Doing some heavy lifting? I can tell.”
As you neared you noticed Betty sipping on what appeared to be a drive-in bag of gummy peach rings, eyeing you with a conniving look. That’s when it hit you. They must have seen you together at the drive in, they had to. One little mistake and now the wolves were after your love.
To your surprise, as you joined the crowd, the girls welcomed you with giggles.
“Lovely to see you y/n.”
“Is your lunch as good as your dinner from last night, y/n?”
“Come say hi to Arvin y/n! I’m sure you two know each other.”
You were red in the face, angry as you eyed Arvin who looked at you worriedly and glared at the girls.
“Ladies, I think we should give poor Arvin some space.” you suggested, hoping they’d take the hint and scram. Betty shook her head and placed her candy down on the lunch table.
“But we’ve only just started talking to him. I haven’t even gotten a chance to show him my new cut.”
She crossed a line as she bent down, her elbows squeezing her chest together to make her cleavage more obvious as she gave Arvin a seductive look. Arvin shifted in his seat, uncomfortably.
“So Arvin, how ya like my new hair? I just got it done this morning, missed first period. Go on, you can touch it if you’d like.”
You couldn’t believe it as your eyes watered, close to tears as you almost cried. But luckily, Arvin noted the lack of respect of boundaries as he stood and rolled his eyes. He made his way through the crowd of girls, scoffing as he reached for you and pulled you to him by your shoulder.
“Now, I’ve been tryna be nice and listen to y’all, but I can’t take another word. If this is how you react when you find out a girl that’s supposed to be your friend has a boyfriend, then I don’t want her to be friends with y’all no more. I’ve had it! Ya hear?!” The girls backed away, from you and Arvin as he moved his hand to grip your waist, a subtle message that he was here for you. They all nodded.
“Good. Now me an’ my girl are gonna go enjoy our lunch without all this nonsense. I don’t want to see any of y’all come near her again.” he started to walk off with you, the girls still shocked, but before you left, he turned back to one of the girls.
“And Betty, you best take care of that rat's nest on your head cuz it ain’t doing no one any favors.”
Betty looked appalled as you turned away from her and laughed with your lover, waiting until you were far enough away from the crowd to thank him at what was your new lunch spot.
You should never have doubted him, his loyalty to you. He’d never leave you for money, he’d never leave you for anything. Girls with centuries of financial stability had offered them up to him in your very presence and he never questioned being with you for a second. There was no hesitation as he rejected them. You were his soulmate, his forever partner, his best friend and all you could think as you stared at him is that you couldn’t have asked for a better one to call yours.
“Thanks baby. I think they needed that.” you expressed your gratitude, reaching for Arvin’s hand. He took yours in his and squeezed it briefly, sending his love for you through his touch. “Anything for my girl.”

ticket to ride - arvin russel | 18+ oneshot
(not my gif)
Tumblr media
“I think I’m gonna be sad
I think is today, yeah
The girl that’s driving me mad
Is goin’ away”
pairing: arvin russel x f!reader
summary: there’s nothing holding you in this city.
content warning: 18+, smut right bellow the cut, unprotected sex, angst, bad words, mentions of suicide, mentions of murder, toxic relationship, movie spoilers.
a.n: first Arvin fic! (rewatching this movie really woke something in me). dark fics aren’t really my thing but Arvin Russel is not exactly a role model of mental health so I think this fits best.
song inspiration
Arvin’s breath was totally pathless, his dick pumping hard into you while his grip on your waist got stronger every second, like he was trying to get you impossibly close to his body. If someone could see his car from the outside, the weird way it was moving could definitely denounce the activities in the back seat.
"I'm so close, baby. You're taking my cock so well." Arvin says breathlessly on your ears, knowing exactly how to get you worked up. He needs no verbal answer that it had an effect in you when feels you tight around him right after his words. "That's right, honey. Keep going like that. Shit, I love you so much."
"I love you." You kiss him deeply like life depends on it and feel the knot on your stomach getting harder to hold, finally releasing on his dick. Letting your body rest on his.
"Come with me." You say after a long moment of silence, touching the subject you both been avoiding, feeling like the air around you was unbearably heavy holding this question in. You move your body up to get him out of you and sitting by his side, still waiting for an answer, that came after a heavy sigh from the boy.
"You know I can't, baby. Not after Lenora, I can't leave my family, not now that they need me the most." You sigh. He was right, you did know that, it has been like that for months now. You had your mind made that you were leaving, then it came to going say your goodbyes to Arvin, you give it to temptation, you both end up in bed or the back of his car.
You wanted to leave this town, more than anything, this place felt like poison, taking away all your hopes to forget the past and move on with Arvin. Like living here costed all your rights to be happy, or free. What you wished that was different, was the cost that such decision had implied to you. Arvin had people who needed him, he had a family. All you had was him.
Flashbacks come to you, at high school Arvin protected you quite literally with his own damn life. Threatening anyone who dared to touch a finger his girl to loose that very finger, or they ugly damn heads. At the time, you made plans with him to run away together when you grew up. Back then, it would just be another case of kids who ran away to try life on a near town, you’d come back to visit, send letters after settled wherever. It was the perfect plan to live a perfect life.
But perfect things do not exist.
It all started to go to shit (even more) when Teagardin showed up in town. You had a bad feeling about him since the start. Lenora, in her place, she had faith in people, specially if that person was the reverend, dear lord, why would she suspect they meant any harm?
But she should.
The man had the worst of the intentions. Of course, as a figure of respect in the city, who would be crazy enough to question anything that he said or did? But again, they should’ve.
After Arvin lost her, you were fundamental for him not to break down, although you were close to an attack yourself, you knew Arvin would need all support he could get, so you provided him that. You stopped him from crossing the line when he couldn't hold it together, but now, you now selfishly wished you didn’t.
If you had killed the bastard he’d have no choice but to run away with you.
“Let’s do it,” you say to him, hovering over his warm body again “let’s put a bullet in that motherfucker’s head and then we get the hell out of here.” you grin at him facing an expression on Arvin’s face that for the first time on years you couldn’t read. “C’mon, Arvin, you almost did it before.”
“Yeah... Almost, but you yourself talked me out of it. What changed?” you chuckle, rolling your eyes.
“Everything.” you kiss his jaw and cup his face to stare him deep in the eyes. “If you’re stuck here, honey, so am I. If you say no, that’s fine, I’ll stay here, with you, as much as try my fucking best I can’t go without you.” you fix yourself to sit comfortably on his lap and continue. “But if you say yes,” you start kissing down his neck between words “we get our justice and get the fuck out, just me and you, baby,” you peck his lips “what do you say?”
You can see Arvin put up a fight with himself behind his eyes, trying to still find some moral left on his brain, deep down, he knew the only thing holding him back from doing justice with his own hands was the fear he had of letting you down, now, seeing you like this, Arvin couldn’t find a single crumble of a reason not to, the offer was too inviting.
“I say I’m with you to the end...let’s do this.” You grin proudly at your boyfriend and kiss him with passion, knowing once in for all once your plan was complete you would never step on these cursed grounds ever again.

ೃ࿐ Bambi Eyes ೃ༄
Lee Bodecker x Reader (pt 1)
Summary: Lee knows he’s a bad man. It only makes it easier doing bad things to make her his good girl. 18+ minors scurry off!!
Warnings: Dark Lee, Stalking, toxic relationships, age gap (reader 20, lee 40s), southern people (yes it’s a warning), mentions of death. Future smut: daddy kink, degradation kink, praise kink, spit kink
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Lee knew he wasn’t a good man, but he had to pretend to be. Some knew of his dirty deeds, most didn’t but you…..it was as if you could see through his perfectly crafted image. As if those Bambi eyes saw into his guilty soul. Maybe you couldn’t see the bad man in him. Maybe he was just paranoid at the possibility of scaring you away. Either way though, Lee wanted you.
He wanted to hear your pretty laugh, he wanted your perfect baking, and he wanted to see you fall apart for him. You were always so sweet and graceful. Almost swanlike. But Lee desperately wanted to see your pretty eyes spill with tears of pleasure. Tears that he caused. See your cute mouth struggle to find words as he forces orgasm after orgasm out of your pretty body.
Lee knew pretty things like you didn’t last long in knockemstiff, women either raising babies, workin’ the street, or found dead. He wondered what you’d look like as his little housewife. You standing at the door with his meal ready and a baby in your belly, though something about your focus being on a child rubbed him the wrong way. No, Lee knew you were meant for more than the three types of women that this town allowed. No babies, no men ready to pay, and definitely not dead in an unsolved case file.
No, you were meant to be his. His to love, his to fuck, and his to spoil. Lee may not be a good man but you, one way or another, were gonna be his good girl.
· · ─────── ·𖥸· ─────── · ·
- “is there a reason you’re blushin’ like that?” Sandy had questioned in an attempt to draw you out of your dreamy haze. - “just hot is all San” you lied. No truth was you found yourself eyeing your coworker and friends older brother. Way older.
Lee often came into the dinner on Thursday, always an hour after closing, but today he was thirty minutes late. You’d felt disappointed thinking he wouldn’t come in tonight until you heard the little ding from the door and his heavy sigh. Immediately you felt relaxed, as if all worry had left as soon as those blue eyes connected with yours.
Yes you’d had a little crush on the older man for reasons you couldn’t understand. Aunt Gill said the law of this town was corrupt and had always wanted you to stay away from the politics surrounding it, always telling you of how those men payed good money and even killed just for a little taste of power. Why would anyone kill for any kinda position in this town? Though even with her warnings you couldn’t look away. What if he was an exception? He rarely ever smiled but he always spoke to you with more respect than any other man and he tipped well too.
You watched as he made his way to his usual spot, you already cutting a piece of his favorite cherry pie. - “ just take Lee his pie and head home, girly. Don’t want ya to be late for Arvin tomorrow” Sandy said with a wink.
Oh. Oh yeah, Arvin. You’d been so consumed with what could possibly have kept Lee busy that you’d completely forgotten about your plans with Arvin tomorrow. He was a sweet boy who’d shown interest in your for a while now and he was actually your age, so when he’d nervously asked you on a date, of course you said yes.
You brushed off your hands onto the apron around your waist as you made your way over to Lee as a nervous quirk.
- “ Evening’ Sheriff. I’m glad you could still make it tonight” you said with a little smile. Genuinely happy to see him.
God that angelic smile almost broke Lee right there. - “ Sorry angel, got held back with a case. Preacher was found shot dead.”
Lee didn’t often tell you the dark things he worked with. He didn’t want to hurt your little heart…but sometimes he found a sick joy in seeing your babydoll eyes widen with fear. Fear of the dark world surrounding you. Lee wouldn’t let that world hurt you, no he did everything in his power to keep that darkness out, with the exception of himself.
- “oh gosh, Sheriff. The pie ain’t good enough for you to come by after something as exhausting as that!”
The pie? Surely you didn’t think he came here every day for the pie you didn’t even make? - “what makes you think i come here for the pie, babydoll?” Lee smirked as he watched your face heat up at his tone.
- “I-I just figured….figured ya know cause Sandy m-makes the pie and ya know…” he watched you mumble as you played with the hem of your uniform. Cute he thought. So fucking cute.
- “no, sweetheart. Gotta make sure my sis is treating my best girl right, don’t i?”
Your swear you heart beat broke some kind of record at his comment. You weren’t sure what to say but you knew you wanted him to continue.
- “ Lee let the girl go home!” His sister shouted as she made her way around the counter. - “you’ve kept her long enough. Y/n, honey you head home now, alright?” Sandy said as she handed you your little bag, almost pushing you out the door.
- “o-oh of course. Good night San. Good night Sheriff!” You called as you made your way out but not without hearing him say a ‘goodnight babydoll’ back.
You found yourself thinking about his comment the whole walk home and even into the night.
His best girl.
· · ─────── ·𖥸· ─────── · ·
- “you stay away from that girl, Lee.” His sister hissed with a finger pointed in his direction. - “ she’s got a good life ahead of her and she doesn’t need your issues gettin’ In the way.”
- “my issues” he scoffed. “My issue is the fact that rumor says my sister is out there whorin’ around! I don’t need you fuckin’ up this election for me Sandy.” He said standing up obviously pissed at her mentioning you.
- “their just rumors lee…and of course you’d bring that up when we’re talking about you. You’ve been drinkin’ again haven’t you? That why you’re obsessed with this girl?” She pushed.
- “ M’not obsessed. She’s sweet and why can’t I be interested in her? I deserve a life outside of pickin’ up your messes, Sandy!”
Sandy loved her brother. But she knew. She knew of his control issues. She knew of his drives past your little house and that he only showed up to the diner on nights you worked.
- “Well it doesn’t matter what you think you deserve when it comes to her Lee. You know why? Cause shes got a date with that Russell boy tomorrow. So you stay away and let her live free from your bullshit” Sandy snarled as she poked his chest.
Lee saw red. Arvin Russel? She thought he was more fucked up than that kid? Hell he figured the man behind the murder of that shifty preacher was Arvin. Like hell he’d let his angel go on a date with that kid. Lee was sure that kid wouldn’t even know how to please you right. He wouldn’t treat you like a princess and definitely wouldn’t make you cum as hard as he could.
Lee knew his sister and Arvin were just obstacles in his way. They wouldn’t be able to stop him from making you his.
- “ go home lee. It’s way past closing and I’m tired” Sandy mumbled as she pulled at her face.
- “Fine…just keep whatever shit you’re doin’…just keep it down. This rumor is the last thing I need.” He said as he laid down her change.
Lee made his way out to his car, still seething at the thought of his girl going out with someone who wasn’t him. He’d make his usual stop by your house tonight, make sure his angel was okay and safe even if he was slightly frustrated with your stupid decision.
No this is my fault.
If he’d have just claimed you as his already than this wouldn’t have happened. But he needed things to be perfect. He needed to get past this election and get Sandy off his back. Then you’d be his. His to love, his to fuck, and his to spoil. You’d be his, and only his. You be his perfect good little girl.
· · ─────── ·𖥸· ─────── · ·
- “Darlin’ here please take my jacket” Arvin pleaded. You were shaking like a leaf and it was killing him. -“ you’ll get sick and I’ll no choice but to nurse you myself”
Arvin taking care of you didn’t sound too bad. He’d been nothing but a gentleman so far. You’d wanted something simple, so you both had decided on getting some shakes. Well…something simple just wasn’t enough as the two of you had ended up getting lost in conversation. He told you about his mother and father and you told him about your life in the city. - “I don’t think that stigma is true ya know? Of city girls bein’ hard to please. You’re truly the sweetest thing I’ve ever met y/n.”
Hard to please.
- “I think you’re a real sweetheart too, Arvin.” You’d said and meant it. You enjoyed your time with the boy but couldn’t shake off that he was hiding something. He had a harsh life, his father had exposed him to traumatic things early on and with his Sisters passing recently, you bet you’d be a bit standoffish too.
The stars had already made an appearance in the sky, signaling it was time for you to head home to Gill.
- “y/n I was thinkn’…..well I’m askn’ if I could kiss you?” Arvin mumbled as he played with your smaller hands.
Did you want him to kiss you? Did you have romantic feelings for Arvin? There couldn’t be much harm in kissing him, you decided. So without an answer you stood on the tips of your toes and kissed him. He tasted nice, like the birthday cake shake he’d had not long ago. He seemed stunned at first, but after a few seconds he started to kiss back. His hands slowly rubbed down your arms and you found yourself wanting more.
Though just as the pace picked up, Arvin stiffened.
- “Arvin, honey what’s wrong?” You pulled away, searching his eyes. He was looking behind you, hands tightly gripping your arms.
Confused as to what could possibly cause him to stop, you turned only to see what looked to be trees and an empty cop car. It frustrated you. Why was he being so odd?
- “well….uh..t-thank you for the evening, Arvin. I really enjoyed it.” You mumbled as you pulled away from him. Arvin still continued to stare, as if a ghost had stolen his attention, until it finally allowed him to place his eyes back on you.
- “good night y/n.” He muttered already turning back to head to his truck. Did he not enjoy the kiss? Had you done something wrong? His odd response had caused you to question yourself.
And he wasn’t even willing to drive you home.
You watched his back as he disappeared down the dark street. Willing the tears in your eyes to not make it down your face. Though you must’ve not tried hard enough.
- “asshole” you sobbed. You felt pathetic as you stood in the middle of your empty town. Gill was going to kill him when you explained to her why you came home with tears in your eyes and dirt staining your pretty white heals.
Be a big girl y/n.
You wiped the salty tears on the sleeve of his jacket that you still had on. The realization only made you cry harder. You didn’t even care that you were scuffing the shoes you’d saved up for, as you trudged your way home.
Lost in your pool of self loath, you’d yet to hear the car making its way past you as you neared the edge of the downtown street.
- “Sweetheart? Whatcha doin’ out here so late?“
Oh god.
The sound of his voice only caused you to burst into tears again. Of course your luck would have it were Lee Bodecker saw you as a crying mess right after you had your heart broken.
You’d heard the slam of his door but couldn’t see anything through your cloud of tears. Not until you felt his hands grab your face and gently do his best to rub them away. - “babydoll ima need you to tell me what happen- and who’s jacket is this? He cut himself off with his own question as he harshly pulled the jacket off your arms. You didn’t mind though, as the leather jacket rubbing against your skin only reminded you of the odd encounter you just had.
- “lee..please…” you mumbled as you looked up into his furious blue eyes - “ please just take me home…”
Lee knew he was selfish…but you’d asked him to take you home. You just didn’t know it would be your new home. You would forgive him eventually. He’d have to figure out a way to keep your disappearance quiet, maybe turn it on that fucking Russell kid, but he’d sort that out later.
For now all he needed to do was take his girl home…to her rightful home.

On the run after shooting Bodecker and fleeing Knockemstiff, Arvin finds himself in Bowling Green, Ohio. It’s nothing but flat fields and corn as far as the eye can see.
The town’s small but not too small, with the added bonus of the local university being a great cover story. All he has to say is he’s a student, and any probing questions resolve themselves.
Before long he sets himself up as a part-time laborer on a dairy farm while working towards his ‘degree.’ The thing is… the farmer has the prettiest little wife he’s ever seen. Always greets him with soft hands, tender eyes and a honey-sweet smile. How could he not want you all to himself?
It’s also clear there’s no love lost between your husband and you, the air always rippling with tension. A marriage that’s over before either party’s realized it.
Maybe it’s the baby, maybe it’s the farm, maybe it’s just two people who were never right for each other in the first place. Regardless of the reason, Arvin knows you’re not being treated the way you deserve.
But it’s gonna be alright because he’s here. You won’t have to cry yourself to sleep anymore. He’s more than willing to give you everything a woman wants - ready to cherish every inch of you he can.
And once the both of you are ready to move on, he’ll find a nice place to settle down and start a family of your own.
The only hiccup is that he has to convince you of how good it’ll be first. Change is scary but he’s patient. You’ll see it was all for the best in the end. There’s no need to cling to your old life when he’s offering something so much better.
Which is how you find yourself ambushed in the middle of the night by your deceptively sweet farmhand. He seemed like such a charmer, albeit sullen. Now he’s been here for months and refuses to leave you be. Always chasing after you with boundless passion and heady desire.
You’ve learned that once he gets his hands on you, there’s no getting free until he’s satisfied.
“Mm, yeah, that’s it, darlin’. Been wantin’ to do this all afternoon. Fuck - ya looked so pretty in that sundress.”
Teeth sink into the meat of your thumb, blood bursting iron sharp across your tastebuds. You whimper, muffled and needy as your back arches, your shoulder blades grinding into the oceanic wallpaper your husband helped pick out when you moved into the farmhouse.
Arvin presses you into the wall so hard it’s difficult to catch a breath, his chest a firm line of heat against your front. Weak hands shove at his broad shoulders but he doesn’t even flinch, his frame solid and unyielding.
“Always smell so good for me.” He looms over you, his head tucked into the curve of your throat as his teeth work at the flutter of your pulse. “My pretty, pretty baby.”
“Arvin, I said no marks…” Your hips jerk against his, a flush of shame heating your belly when you feel how wet your pussy is against his thigh. “I’m running out of makeup. Won’t be able to hide them.”
“Good.”
His words are a rumbled growl in your ear, his breath puffing over the sensitive shell. His hands capture the curves of your waist when you try to squirm away, steel bands that shackle you in place.
“Let ‘im see, let ‘im know his pretty little wife’s pussy belongs to me.”
A flare of heat kindles to life low in your belly, liquid desire settling between your thighs. You hate how much his words get to you, how desperate you get for his touch. He never takes no for an answer, just bulldozes right on in as he pleases.
The initiative shouldn’t be as flattering as you find it. But between juggling your baby, your husband, and the farm, your needs have fallen by the wayside. You can’t even remember the last time your husband touched you willingly.
“Arvin, please, I…”
If it’s a plea to stop or a plea to keep pushing you to your limits, you don’t know. This persistent young man has seen fit to invade every aspect of your life in such a short amount of time. You’re not sure you recognize the person you’re becoming under him.
A kneecap grinds into your aching clit.
“Arv-hhn…” you pant, burying your head in his shoulder. The fabric of his t-shirt is soft against your lips. “Can’t - can’t…”
“Shh,” he says, rocking up into the cradle of your thighs, his voice a low croon that hooks behind your navel and tugs. “Ya can, I know ya can, darlin’. Doin’ so good for me.”
The tidal wave of pleasure crashes through you, ebbing flows that tease at your nerve endings until you’re sobbing in his arms. Muffled sounds ring out through the empty hall, shattering the midnight silence. Your legs tremble with the effort of holding your weight, your hips flexing with aborted thrusts.
He plasters your bodies together from hip to sternum, the momentum of his teasing grinds never faltering. So firm and warm and right where you want it…
“Better be quiet if you’re so worried,” Arvin says.“They’ll hear ya and then what’ll ya do? Your precious husband’ll see his slut of a wife hanging off another man’s cock.”
You swallow, the filthy works sparking a shiver of delight. You clench, a rush of slick wetting the seat of your panties. And that’s perhaps the worst thing about all of this - how much your body craves his touch.
Ashamed, your eyes slam closed but not before you catch Arvin’s gaze, his eyes half-lidded and impossibly dark with hunger.
“Oh, is that what you’ve been hidin’ from me, darlin’?”
He breathes, his long fingers reaching up to caress the soft swell of your breast. He drops kisses along the curve of your jaw with a pleased little hum, and circles the peak of your nipple through the thin camisole.
“Ya want ‘im to see, ya want ‘im to know how wet ya get for me - don’t ya?”
Your answer sounds in the form of a moan.
He smirks, a devilish curve to his lips, “Mm, why don’t we show ‘im then?”
Your eyes snap open, immediately desperate for an altogether different reason. Your stomach drops at the look of utter satisfaction on Arvin’s face. Before you can beg and plead, two fingers wrap around your nipple and squeeze hard. Try as you might, you can’t bite back the utterly wrecked noise that claws its way out of your throat, echoing loud.
Wetness trickles from your breast, dribbles down your skin and sticks your sleep shirt to you. The colour of your areola peeks through the milk-soaked fabric. But you don’t have time to worry about leaking through another shirt because there’s no way your husband didn’t hear that. You’re in the hall right outside the master bedroom.
The bed creaks. “You all right out there?” your husband calls.
“Arvin, get out of here.” He doesn’t budge. You smack his chest with a hollow thump. “Damnit, Arvin, go!”
Another rough tug of his fingers, and you’re weak-kneed. Fuzzy-headed. More milk dribbles from your tender nipple. You hiss at the overstimulation, little sparks of pain in the pleasure.
Devil black, and delicious.
About to cry, you can’t help jerking over his thigh one last time just to feel the drag of your slick folds. And then you’re trying to squirm out of his ironclad hold. You both know it’s in vain - if he doesn’t want you to go anywhere, you won’t - but you put up a fight all the same.
“Please, go.”
His breath stutters from him, his eyes burning into yours as he sucks off the milk clinging to his fingertips. You always look the prettiest to him when you cry, your eyes glassy and desperate for something only he can give you. He grinds close so he can feel every inch of your softness.
“Just as sweet as always.”
“Arvin,” you say with a shake of your head. “He can’t see you.”
“I will this time,” his eyes are shards of flint when he holds your gaze, his mouth a set line of tension, “But ya can’t run from me. I’m gettin’ real tired of hidin’ an’  of sharin’. You’re mine, he just doesn’t know it yet.”
Before any more can be said, the pressure of Arvin’s body against yours disappears in a great rush of air. You shiver, reaching up to fix your strap just as the door to the bedroom swings open and your husband pokes his head out. He calls your name, his eyes squinting through the dark.
“Woman, the hell you doin’ out here?”
“Nothing, just,” you start, off-kilter, “just getting something to drink.”
You’ve never been more thankful you married a man with poor eyesight. If he saw the evidence of your indiscretion… your trembling thighs, the dampened crotch of your shorts, nipples peeking through the ruined tank top… there’d be no saving it.
“Ya sure? Thought I heard a yelp.”
The words taste like ash when you smile and say, “Mhm… kicked that side table again.”
His chuckle sounds, the shape of his body turning back into the room. “Maybe we should get a damn nightlight for the hall then.” He turns back to look at you. “Ya comin’?”
“Y-Yeah, be there in a minute, sweetie.” You don’t hear his response, too focused on the phantom hands gliding along your thighs, cupping your cunt and playing with your dripping folds. “I need to go to the bathroom.”
Smoke and faded cologne tease your senses, moist lips skimming the side of your face as Arvin whispers a promise into your skin, “See ya tomorrow, darlin’.”

Arvin x Reader One shot
Tumblr media
A/n: back again and most likely disappear had this in one of my drafts hehe hope you enjoy!! before you read there are mentions of a person unaliving themselves so slight trigger warning ‼️
You met Lenora at school sitting in the lunchroom all lonesome, you walked over to her and had stares like daggers when you made your way to her. She looked up and all she could do was stare at you and your bows in your hair with your nice smile as you placed your things on the table and sat across from her, “hi, im y/n, what's your name?” she asked as Lenora was in awe of your kindness, “im Lenora…you sure you wanna sit here?” she asked as you nodded, “yeah, is it okay if i sit here?” you asked as she smiled, “yes, it's very nice to have someone here,” she said as you two talked about anything. Lenora loved how she would spend time with you and she had even explained as to why she was all alone. Her family was such a talk around here, they had gone through so much. The time you had with her was nice. In the beginning you only saw her in the lunchroom, after school you never got sight of her. As time went on you found out why she sped on home, there was this group of boys who would tease her about herself and how her brother arvin had a special relationship according to them and no evidence at all of what was going on.
“They just got nothin better to do,” she explained and you fully believed in her word, “i believe you, those dumbasses probably have it worse that's why they say words that aren't true,” you said as she nodded as you and her walked out of school, “the good thing is they stopped, but it really scares me sometime,”
Out of nowhere this boy walked up to you two, “lenora i thought i told you to book it once the bell rings,” he spoke looking at you then her, “i know, but- oh god where are my manners, y/n this is arvin my brother and arvin this is probably my only friend in this whole school,” she said as you nodded, “hi, sorry for taking her away for a little, just wanted to make sure she was getting home fine,” you explained to arvin as he just couldn't keep his eye off you, “i-its okay sorry, its just i get real worried, it's nice to meet you y/n,” he said still stern as he was he walked back to his car as he looked over at you two talked, “well i'll see you later yeah?” lenora said, “yeah don't worry i'll probably see you at church at latest,” you suggested as she nodded having a better idea, “you know what, what if you come for dinner saturday, that way you can sleep over and we can go to church on sunday,” as you nodded, “Really? You sure?” you asked knowing her momma was strict about it. She was more sure than anything, her momma knew that she had no friends, but after hearing so much about you she was more than happy to have you over and spend time with them.
The time you had with the Russell family was like having another family. You only had your aunt who took you after your daddy died in the war. You didn't have a mother, she left you with your daddy after having you, so you had more in common with Lenora and her folks than people thought. This also gave you time with arvin on a personal level, he liked you since the minute he saw you, he felt what his daddy felt when he saw his momma.
“Now come on, lenora wont mind, if anything she will be happy we got together,” arvin said as you walked along the sidewalk reading your book, “oh arvin you are such a tease, you do realize when she sees us together she seeing those damn bells ringing,” you smirked as he smiled, “oh honey you ain't seen nothin yet, you will hear those bells ringing i will be marrying you,” which made you look up, “you are one crazy boy,” he said placing a kiss on your cheek, “only for you sweetheart,”
When Lenora killed herself, you found her in the closet looking for her, she wasn't feeling too good for church so you brought her medicine to feel all better, “now where could she be? Lenora! Girl, where are you-” you opened the door and saw her hanging by the rope, your heart was clenching and it only took you a moment to react, “Oh my…Arvin! Help! Please!” you repeated over and over, arvin ran as quick as he could and saw you screaming for his sister, took him a moment to react too and help you get her off the rope. All you remember was there was so much screaming. Lenora was the last person you would think to do this.
Which leads you to where you are now, you and arvin got married even after everything that happened to arvin you stuck with him. You two both had terrible lives, but now you were given the chance to live the way you deserved after everything. In a new town where no one knew yall. You bought a house together and worked jobs for the time being and just saw how life would treat you.
You weren't feeling too good lately so you called out of work for a couple days, “you sure you're feeling good? Why don't I take you to the doctor, even better call him here hon,” you nodded, “im okay it's probably the flu arv, just go to work, i'll call you if anything happens, yeah?” you assured him as he nodded, he kissed you goodbye and headed to work hoping you were okay. He hated when you got sick he worried so much it had reminded him of his momma and especially Lenora. He knew you were not capable of doing such, but being sick just reminded him of awful memories.
He hurried on home with some medicine and some soup hoping it made you feel better, he walked in and started calling your name, “y/n honey i got some soup and some stuff that will-” he was cut off seeing you laid out on the floor, he was quickly to panic trying to wake you up as you got out of the state you were in, “arvin, what happened,” you said looking around your surrounding seeing you had been on the ground, “you were just on the ground like you was dead, what- did someone do something? What happend?” he said, still quite panicked, " I was just getting water, that's it,” you said as he picked you up and he called the doctor.
The doctor ran all the tests insisted by arvin wanting to make sure everything was okay, once the doctor walked toward arvin he was quick to stand, the news he had just heard was far from his mind than anything he expected.
He walked back to your room as you sat in bed reading your book, once you saw Arvin you were quick to put it down, “so? What is it arvin? Do we have to start praying,” you stood up as he was quick to hold you sitting you down, “no honey, well maybe, it's all good were havin a baby,” he spat very happy, “you serious, oh my arvin, were havin a baby, oh arv,” you said tearing up, “hey hey, it's all good news, i married you for a reason, i ain't going nowhere, we are havin this baby,” he said as you looked over at him as you shook your head, “oh arv it's nothing like that, it's just…lenora, she would be here,” you said as he hugged you, “i know honey, but hey, if we have a girl we can name her lenora,” you nodded very happy, “we can oh god we can,” you both were over the moon and emotional all in the same boat not wanting this moment to be over. You worked so hard to be where you are, you were both thanking god, even arvin.

Arvin watched as you paced down the driveway towards his car, it was obvious already that you were exhausted. You were slouched over, your hair, which had been down when he dropped you off, was now tied in a messy ponytail. Arvin leaned over to open the door for you as you approached the car.
“Hey sunshine,” he smiled, “Why the sour face?”
You shot him the dirtiest look he’d ever seen as you climbed into the passenger seat, “We are never, ever having kids.”
He laughed, “That bad?”
You nodded, “You have no idea. They were acting crazy all day, Jonathan started screaming if I put him down for even a second, and I couldn’t get Henry to sit down for anything. I mean even during lunch he kept getting up and running around.”
“I’m sorry darlin’,” he frowned and kissed the back of your hand, “Why don’t we skip the river today? We can just head back to mine or yours so you can rest for a while.”
“No, no, I still wanna go,” you insisted, “I’m sure you already packed food up and everything…”
“I did, but we still don’t have to go.”
“I want to, I’m sure I’ll feel better after I eat and sit down for a while,” you scooted into the middle seat of his truck and kissed his cheek.
“Alright,” he grinned, “But let me know if you change your mind.”
“Yay,” you cheered, snuggling into his side as he pulled onto the road.
Arvin set his hand on your leg but almost instantly retracted it, his face contorting to disgust, “Why are you sticky?”
“Oh god,” you groaned and looked down at your legs, they looked fine but when you touched them they were sticky, “I let the boys have some popsicles, I thought I got it all off of me,” you cringed as you poked your leg, “That’s disgusting.”
Arvin started to laugh, “Don’t worry, you can rinse off in the river.”
You sighed and leaned back against the car seat, “You better have packed some good food.”
“Don’t worry, I made us some sandwiches, and I went to that bakery downtown and got some of those little cakes you like,” he reached over for you again, running the back of his fingers down your cheek, “You could close your eyes for a minute pretty girl.”
“I’m okay,” you assured, turning lazily towards him, “You’re the best boyfriend in the world, you know that?”
“I try my best,” he lifted his arm, giving you room to snuggle up underneath it, “Now come here, sticky or not, I like having you close.”
“Aw,” you cooed as he wrapped his arm around you.
You turned your attention to the road ahead of you. The town started to fade away, being replaced with dense trees and only the occasional home as you krept closer and closer to the river. Arvin was driving out further than he usually he did, wanting to make sure that you two wouldn’t run into anyone while you were out. It was a special day, he wanted to keep it just the two of you.
“Here we are,” he grinned as he pulled into a small dirt parking lot. A large sign advertised some kind of hiking trail, “Looks like it’s just us.”
“Yay,” you grinned.
Arvin passed you the picnic blanket as he climbed out of the car. He took the basket of food and your hand and led you down a thin dirt trail. It was hot, and you were tired, but Arvin promised you it wasn’t a far walk. He half jokingly offered you a piggyback ride, but you had a little too much pride to accept it.
“Here we are,” he grinned as you two stumbled into a small alcove.
The river bank was all rock and grass, it was much more serene than the dirt banks closer to your home. You spread the blanket out on the grass and happily fell down on top of it. You kicked off your shoes and spread your arms out over the blanket. Arvin laughed and set the basket down beside you. You watched with a smile as he lifted his shirt over his head, leaving him in just his swim trunks.
“I would whistle if I wasn’t so tired,” you grinned up at him.
He smiled and tossed his shirt at your face, “There, you can have a souvenir.”
You rolled your eyes and pushed his shirt off you, “Come on, I already have a million of those.”
“Cause you’re a thief,” he pinched your chin and opened up the basket, “You still hungry sweetheart?”
“I’m starved,” you rubbed your grumbling stomach with a smile, “Sandwiches right?”
He nodded and set a paper plate in your lap, “Yeah, I put a lot of hard work into them so you better enjoy.”
Your eyes widened excitedly as he presented the sandwich to you, “Don’t worry, I plan on it.”
The sandwich tasted divine after the long day you’d had. You were eternally grateful that you had a boyfriend who didn’t mind sitting quietly while you ate. Arvin was always happy just to be near you, and he didn’t mind at all if you wanted to sit in silence after a long day. He would just sit beside you and peck at his food, watching you watch the river.
“This is nice,” you hummed, “The river’s beautiful.”
“You’re beautiful,” Arvin pecked your cheek.
You flushed and turned to him, “You don’t have to be so sweet all the time Arvin.”
“Well sure I do, it’s what you deserve,” he nuzzled his nose against your cheek, “How’s the sandwich?”
“Amazing,” you groaned before shoving the last bite into your mouth.
“Save room for dessert,” he laughed, “You really were starving huh?”
You nodded, “You have no idea, I had no time to eat while I was chasing the kids, I thought I was about to wither away.”
“My poor girl,” he flashed a pout, “You know when we have kids I’m sure they’ll be much sweeter to you than the boys are. They’ll save all the screaming and running around for me.”
“The boys are sweet Arvin, they’re just kids,” you cracked a small smile, “And I’m sure our kids will terrorize us equally.”
“Well probably, but I was trying to make you feel better,” he chuckled and peeked into the basket beside him, “You want your cake now sweetheart?”
You hummed and nodded, “Yeah, I think I do.”
“Great, just one thing first,” his cheeks dusted pink, “I know you said you didn’t want to do gifts but I couldn’t help myself…”
“Arvin,” you scolded.
“Yeah, yeah, I know,” he waved his hand at you and reached into the basket, pulling out a small black, velvet box, “It’s small, don’t worry.”
You tried to fight your smile as he placed the box in your lap, “Now I feel bad, I should have got you something.”
“I don’t need anything sweetheart, I just like seeing you happy,” he kissed your cheek, “Go ahead and open it.”
“I am, have some patience,” you giggled and pulled the box open.
Inside was a simple silver chain with a small heart charm hanging off of it. The charm had been delicately carved with both of your initials. It was absolutely gorgeous, your mouth fell open in disbelief.
“You like it?” he questioned.
You quickly nodded, “I love it Arvin, this is so beautiful.”
He let out a relieved breath, “Thank goodness. You have no clue how nervous I was.”
“I love it,” you repeated, pulling him in for a quick kiss, “I love you.”
“I love you too,” he set both his hands over yours, “Can I help you put it on?”
“Yes, please,” you nodded eagerly.
Arvin crawled behind you and swept your hair to the side. He took the necklace from the box and wrapped it around your neck. He carefully clasped it behind you and pressed his lips to your neck.
“There,” he pulled away with a content hum, “I think it looks pretty, silver looks good on you.”
You nodded in agreement, “It’s perfect.”
“I’m glad you like it,” he ran his hand over your collar with a smile, “Happy anniversary sweetheart.”
“Happy anniversary,” you cooed back and wrapped your arms around his neck, “Have I ever told you how handsome you are?”
“A few times,” he nuzzled his nose against your cheek and started trailing kisses up your jaw, “How about we head in the water? It’s hot out here.”
“You can head in, I think I’m gonna lay down for a minute,” you patted his chest and flattened out the blanket, “Just a minute though, don’t let me fall asleep.”
“Why are you laying down if you don’t wanna fall asleep?” he laughed.
“I just wanna rest a minute,” you laid your head in his lap, “You can get in if you want.”
“No, no, I’ll stay here,” he ran his hand through your hair, “You rest.”
Your eyes fell heavy as you watched the river in front of you. The soothing sound of the water and Arvin’s hand in your hair were urging you to sleep, but you were determined to stay awake. You wanted to enjoy the river and actually get in the water for a while, you could sleep later, when you were curled up in bed with your boyfriend.
“You still wanna stay awake pretty girl?” Arvin cooed, noticing you starting to drift off in his lap.
“Yeah,” you mumbled, “I’m gonna get up and we’re gonna go swim.”
He smiled to himself, “Why don’t you get up then?”
“I will, I will,” you promised, “It’s only been a minute.”
“No,” he peaked at his watch, “It’s been almost an hour.”
You looked up at him, “No it hasn’t.”
“Yes, it has,” he chuckled, “You keep drifting off and waking up. You know we can always go home if you’re that tired, the river will still be here tomorrow.”
“I want to swim,” you insisted, slowly pushing yourself off his lap, “I gotta get my dress off.”
Arvin’s lips tugged to a smirked as you attempted to reach back and unzip your dress, “Let me help,” he gently tugged your zipper down to free you from the dress, “There you go.”
“Thank you,” you pulled the dress up and over your head and folded it up in your lap.
Arvin stood, taking just a moment to admire you in your swimsuit, “You coming?”
You yawned and nodded, “Yeah, just a sec.”
“I told you, we can always go home,” he offered again.
“I’m coming,” you tried to push yourself up, only for you to fall back down. Your left leg, which you’d been laying on top of, was totally numb, “Ouch,” you grunted as you fell back down.
Arvin started laughing, “Forget how to stand sweetheart?”
“No,” you groaned, “Help me, my leg is asleep,” you extended your arms towards him, expecting him to help you stand back up.
“Poor girl,” he clicked his tongue and bent down in front of you, “Let me help.”
He hoisted you into the air suddenly, pulling you in close to his chest as he stood. You squealed and clung to his neck, “Arvin put me down!” you demanded through a fit of giggles.
“You asked for help, I’m helping,” he laughed in response as he approached the water.
“You know that’s not what I meant,” you continued giggling as he entered the water.
“The water feels nice,” he dipped you down so your feet grazed the water.
You shivered at the sensation and stretched to try and dip your legs the rest of the way in, “Come on, let me get in.”
“Oh you mean put you down?” Arvin cocked his head, pretending not to know what you wanted as he waded deeper.
“Yes dork, so I can swim.”
“Ah,” he hummed, “I could do that, but I sort of like having you close,” he kissed your cheek, “You know you might be able to convince me to let you go though.”
“And how would I do that?” you smiled as he pulled you into the water with him, “A kiss maybe?”
“A kiss might do it,” he nodded.
“Okay,” you cupped his face in your hands, running your thumbs over his cheeks before you pressed his lips to his.
He smiled into the kiss, gently squeezing your body against his. His grip on you loosened and he let you slip out of his arms. Slowly you pulled away, looking up at him with a big smile. He pressed a kiss to the tip of your nose, then to your forehead.
“You know you’re too cute for your own good sunshine,” he purred.
“Well you’re too handsome for your own good,” you hummed in response.
“As long as I’m handsome enough for you to stick around that’s all I care about,” he ran his thumb over your bottom lip, “You better start swimming if that’s what you wanna do sweetheart, otherwise I’m gonna start kissing you again.”
“You say that like it’s a bad thing,” you took his hand and leaned back into the water, “I think we’ve got time for both.”

after care/afterglow with arvin post lake side sex!
the sunlight waxes and wanes through the leaves of the trees in front of you, warmth dappling onto your skin as you blink sleepily at the lake. it's late afternoon, hot as the devil's den as your daddy would say, but you and arvin had taken shelter under a large tree that supplied shade and enough privacy for him to satiate his hunger for you.
it shows in the bruises underneath your collarbone, arvin's signature lovebites that he loves to suck into your skin. he would be more stoic when you first started going steady, but he's slowly unfurled like a blooming flower from your touch over many months. he didn't know what it meant to want something so badly until he met you.
arvin rubs the slope of your shoulders, tracing his fingertips along your bare back as he smokes a cigarette. your head is in his lap, nose burying itself into his knee as you nearly purr into his touch.
"fallin' asleep on me, baby?" he murmurs.
"maybe. feels like i'm in heaven."
i always feel like that when i'm with you.
"are you coming over for dinner, finally?" you turn so that your back is on the blanket with your face towards your lover.
"anything for you."
"i think they're gonna like you a whole lot."
"why?" he scoffs. "i'm sure after i graduated the rumors 'bout me spread even more."
"you're not violent by nature. you just loved lenora so much."
he flashes you one of his lopsided smiles, though his brown eyes hide a sadness underneath. sitting up, you pull your dress over your body and plant a kiss on his mouth, moving slowly and passionately as your arm curls over his broad shoulders. he tastes like tobacco and coffee.
his kisses don't calm down -- in fact, you've probably riled him again. it's funny, to see him like a god being illuminated by all this sunlight when he was usually a vessel for rain. it had rained when he'd given you a ride that first morning, it had rained when you had let him touch your skin for the first time, it had rained when he told you he loved you.
with your insides on fire, you have to stop him. dinner's soon, of course.
"you drive me fuckin' crazy, you know that?" he mumbles into your mouth.
"yeah, i know."

Arvin Russel x Reader
~Description~
You make Arvin pinky swear.
~Warnings~
Character death, innocent reader, emotional hurt/comfort, vaginal fingering, mildly dubious consent
Tumblr media
Arvin knew it was wrong to stare at you as you slept. But he couldn’t help it. He needed to look at you in your nightgown. You looked so at peace. The way your chest would softly rise and fall made his heart churn. He was very glad Lenora invited you for a sleepover. He was very glad you left the door wide open. He was very glad you slept with the covers off, the way your nightgown draped over your chest had him hardening at the thought of you.
Two of the buttons were undone from you tossing a bit in your sleep. It drove him crazy when you turned on your back and he could see your nipples hardening from the cold air. He stepped out when he saw your eyes starting to open. He could only hope you didn’t see him. He stepped into the kitchen acting like he was always there when you stepped in.
“Arvin?” the voice was soft and groggy.
“Hey, what are you doing up?” he stared up at you so innocently you couldn’t help but feel your face burn. It was dark and the only thing lighting the kitchen when the morning sun going through daybreak.
“I.. um I had a nightmare.” you knew it was childish. You were now in high school and you still shook and cried from nightmares. You couldn’t help but feel so embarrassed at the thought of it, but Arvin’s face never changed he still held that same old concern in his dark brown eyes.
“Here come sit down. You want to talk about it? It makes Lenora feel better after talking about it.”
You shyly smiled at him causing his heart to want to fly out of his chest. You were sweet, too sweet for your own good.
You gathered the courage and sat down next to Arvin. You guys were close which made you feel his warmth. His leg was barely touching yours but that only made your face heat up even more.
“It was just… Tommy and his stupid gang. They were chasing me and Lenora again,” you did a non-humorous chuckle and sighed. Arvin felt bad he knew he couldn’t always protect you and Lenora. He knew he had to do something about Tommy and his hounds.
Arvin grabbed your hand, which made you jump a little.
“They won’t be chasing you guys in your dreams or at school anymore. I promise.” he watched your eyes widen at that. You didn’t investigate what he was going to do. You were just glad that Arvin was protecting you and Lenora.
“Pinky swear?” you lifted your pinky. Arvin chuckled at that before he held his pinky to yours.
“Pinky swear.”
. . .
You didn’t know what Arvin did but Tommy and his gang left you alone. They never bothered you again. You felt joyful for once. You and Lenora didn’t have to run to Arvin’s pick-up right after school.
You were sitting in his truck, thinking about what your mom was going to make for dinner tonight. You guys were out of the usual ingredients your mom would cook, so she made you go back to the store.
Arvin had just dropped Lenora off at the cemetery. A place you all often went to for Lenora’s sake. You didn’t like cemeteries, but you went for her. She told you both that she didn’t need to get dropped off at home. That she was going to go to the church to see the reverend. He was a handsome man but you couldn’t fight that gross sinking feeling when you were around him.
So you guys left the cemetery to go to the store and pick up things your mother needed. You sat in his truck waiting for him to come back from the store. You didn’t really like going out much, not after your father died, so you usually let Arvin go. As you waited, you had a look around his small pickup. You opened the glove box. You saw a lighter, some cigarettes, and a small tin box with only one word you could read latex.
Before you could open the box, you heard Arvin throw the groceries in the bed. You carefully put the tin box back inside and close the glove box. You closed it as he opened the door.
“I hope I wasn’t in there for too long.” Arvin smiled at you. You only shook your head as he started the truck, “let’s get going then don’t want your mother to get upset from us being out too long.”
“Okay.” You smiled back at him.
It felt like seconds when he drove you home. You wanted to be with him a little bit longer. You felt safe when you were with him. Though the truck smelled of cigarettes, a scent you really wasn’t fond of but for him, you would endure it.
Your mother stood on the porch cigarette in hand. She leaned on one of the banisters and waved when Arvin stopped in front of the house. He turned the truck off then climbed out, and you followed. He only had a few bags in his hands but you still offered to help. Of course, he denied it and said how it wasn’t a lot for him.
As you near your mother, she couldn’t stop the smirk on her face from the both of you together, “you didn’t do anything with my daughter did you?”
“Momma quit…” your whole face heated up immediately.
“I’m only kidding dear.” she rolled her eyes playfully and snuffed out her cigarette. “Arvin, it’s been a while since you came down and ate here. Why not join us? I’m cooking my famous ribs and potatoes.”
“No, I should go I don’t want to be a bother,” he said.
Your mother gave him a dramatic gasp, “Arvin Russel a bother no way in hell. Come on in.” She dragged him into the house, and you followed them behind.
Your mother got started quickly, cutting the ribs and peeling the potatoes at an insanely fast pace. You never got how she did it so fast must be from being a mother, you giggled to yourself.
You and Arvin sat down at the table making light conversation about the homework you had at school. Your mother would sometimes come in and talk about how you’re doing harder classes, which caused you to get embarrassed because Arvin made a big show of it.
You all continued to talk about everything as your mother made the plates and sat them down in front of both of you guys. You all prayed and dug in. Your mother’s ribs and potatoes were always delicious, and you could tell with Arvin’s smile on his face.
“This is so delicious, thank you,” Arvin groaned with a mouth full of food.
“It really is good momma,” you stuffed more in your face.
“Thank you, I try my best,” your mother giggled, “So Arvin, how’s Lenora?”
He shook his head, “she’s doing fine. She still goes to see her mother’s grave after school.”
“Hmm, poor girl,” she sighed it was quiet after that you guys continued to eat and just enjoyed the quality time together.
You heard your mother speak up just as you push your plate to the side, “How are you Arvin? You got anyone special?”
He laughed which caused your mother to laugh too, “No I’m too busy workin.”
You silently let out a breath that you didn’t know you were holding. You were glad he wasn’t seeing anyone. Your mother smiled at you and him.
“Hmm, it seems like y’all are done. I’ll get these out of the way for y’all,” she said as she picked up the plates.
“It's okay go, rest ma’am, we got it,” he smiled back at your mother.
“Aw, are you sure?”
“It's no problem you let me eat here it's the least I could do,” your mother reluctantly gave him the plates.
“Sugar bee, make sure you help him with cleanin.”
“I will momma,” you told her as she rubbed your cheek before leaving. When you both were at the sink, your arms touched, and you felt like you were about to float away. As the water got hot you started to scrub the plates carefully putting them on Arvin’s side where he rinsed them and placed them on the towel to dry.
Once you got done you both sat back down. It was awkward at first the tension was thick as you both sat there. You were just about to try and start a conversation when Arvin spoke up.
“I guess I’ll head on out.” Arvin smiled at you.
“Ah okay… see ya later.” you smiled back at him walking him out.
He started to walk away causing you to stop him and give him a quick peck on the cheek, “Drive safe, Arvin.”
Before you could walk back inside you grabbed your wrist and swung you back in for a kiss on your lips. It was your first kiss ever. And you couldn’t do anything but melt against him. He held onto your waist, and all you felt were the warm explosions from being so close to him. You’ve dreamed of this moment for years now and it’s actually happening. You couldn’t help but pull back though it was intense the way he kissed you. The way he held your waist. You needed to take a deep breath.
“I’m- I’m sorry… I I should’ve controlled myself.” Arvin immediately pulled himself away from you. You didn’t want him to go.
“No no I’m sorry it’s my first time please… don’t go.” you held his shirt and he sighed.
He went back towards you and held your face. His thumb went over your bottom lip. You closed your eyes when his lips started to touch yours again. This time he used his tongue. It felt like he was trying to taste you whole. It made you feel weak in your knees. They started to wobble a bit making him hold you close to him. He pulled back leaving you both panting.
“Arvin…” you sighed against him. Your foreheads touched as you both stood there trying to catch your breath.
“I got to go I’m sorry sweetheart.” he kissed you again on the cheek.
“Okay… I’ll see you later,” you whispered to him as he reluctantly let go of you.
“See you later.” he waved as he got into his truck.
You held yourself because of how cold it got. You watched him leave before making your way back inside. You couldn’t stop the grin that fell on your face. You kissed him. And he kissed you back. You touched your lips with your fingers. He kissed you. And you kissed him.
. . .
Lenora is gone. You couldn’t stop crying at the news. Lenora sweet Lenora. Lenora, who would never hurt a fly. All you could think about was her and Arvin.
Arvin.
You needed to see Arvin. You needed to know if he was okay. You knew he wasn’t… he was the one that found her. You ran towards their house. They lived just down the road from you. You ran as fast as you could. When you got there all you saw was Emma crying and Arvin walking away to the truck. He slammed his door and got it started.
You ran to the passenger's side and opened the door. Arvin looked stunned to see you. You had red puffy eyes as if someone punched your face and your lips were swollen. He didn’t say anything when you brought yourself in. He just shifted the gear and left. You didn’t know where you were going, but Arvin had a look on his face as if he knew.
He drove you to a field, it had just started raining. It came down heavily almost as if it was drowning anything it could find. Arvin grabbed hold of your hand squeezing it a little as he stared at the field. He didn’t say anything, he didn’t have to. All you could do was shake you weren’t cold but he took you as if you were. He scooted closer taking off his jacket to wrap it around you.
He looked down towards you as you leaned against his shoulder, holding his waist before fully hiding underneath his jacket. You wanted to cry some more but you couldn’t. Nothing came out. Arvin comforted you rubbing your back in small circles and kissing parts of your head that weren’t hidden by the jacket. Then finally he came down close to your face. His breath fanning your lips. Your heart started to race. Normally you would be quite embarrassed by the close proximity to him and the beating of your heart but you didn’t care. You just wanted him to take away the pain. You wanted him to love you. To make love with you.
You sat up and he followed. His forehead softly fell on yours. You took a deep breath as his lips licked at yours. Almost like he was asking and you nodded your head just as he took your face in his hand. He held you as if you could fall and break at any moment. When his lips came into contact with yours, you let out the breath you were holding. He took the liberty to add his tongue tasting you like last time but it was different. It felt as though he wanted the same thing you wanted. To forget. To forget about everything and everyone as if you were the only two on this earth.
He pushed you onto your back and held onto your waist, rubbing it up and down. He didn’t waste a second as one of his hands went under your dress. You gasped when he ripped down your underwear. His fingers lit a fire throughout your body. When they got to a specific area you couldn’t stop the sound that came out of you. You didn’t quite understand what he was doing but you didn’t ask about it you let him continue his work. When one of his fingers entered you it didn’t feel bad but it didn’t feel good either. You let him continue without stopping. He stopped kissing you only to do light pecks down your face and neck. His hand left that intimate spot between your legs making you sigh at the loss.
He took the fingers that he touched you with and started to lick them. You felt your face heat immediately when he came back to unbutton your cardigan and then your dress. He pulled you from your bra. Your bra laid under your breasts it was uncomfortable but as soon as his lips came around one of them you forgot all about it. One of his hands was back on your heat and the other was teasing your nipple. You felt like you were about to pass out everything felt intense when he inserted two fingers inside you. You moaned at the feeling. That tight twisting feeling came and devoured your stomach. You couldn’t stop panting and moaning. Then finally you unraveled all over his fingers. Arvin groaned when he sat back and saw you on display for him.
“You’re so beautiful…”
he petted your hair and kissed you on your cheek. You tried to smile at him even though you were a little tired.
“Arvin… don’t ever leave me.” You started to cry making his whole demeanor change. He looked as though he did something terrible to you. You sat up and hugged him as close as you could to him.
“I’m- I would never leave you…” he whispered close to your ear.
“Promise?” you looked at him as seriously as you could. Just like last time, you held your pinky up, but this time Arvin didn’t chuckle he held up his pinky to yours.
“Promise.”

“Hold on a minute, Arvin. My friend is coming.” Lenora said as she climbed into her brothers car.
“Friend? What friend?”
“It’s just Y/n.”
“I never heard that name before.” Arvin frowned.
“She’s a new friend. And you don’t I don’t make a lot of em so you better be nice to her.” Lenora warned.
“I will.” Arvin held up his hands in defense.
“There she is. Act normal.” Lenora ordered as you came out of the school.
“I said I would.” Arvin rolled his eyes and looked out the window to see who Lenora was looking at. When he saw you walking towards his car, he did a double take.
“That’s your friend?”
“Yeah. Why?” Lenora asked as Arvin got out of the car. “Where are you going?“
Arvin practically ran around the car, tripping over his feet as he went. He opened the back door for you just as you reached the car.
“Let me get that for you, sweetheart.” He smiled and stepped to the side.
“Oh. Thank you.“ You smiled in surprise.
“I’m Arvin.” He said and held out his hand.
“I’m Y/n. Hope you don’t mind an extra passenger in your car.” You replied as you shook his hand.
“Don’t mind at all. Bout time my backseats saw a little action.”
“Oh?“ You raised an eyebrow.
“I didn’t mean it like that.” Arvin said quickly. “Lenora just always sits in the front seat.”
“I figured.” You chuckled and got into the car. Arvin shut his eyes in embarrassment before climbing back into the drivers seat.
“I told you be normal.” Lenora whispered harshly.
“I am!” He whispered back.
“No you’re not!”
“Lenora, did you catch what Mrs. Harper said about the arithmetic homework? I couldn’t hear her.” You asked from the backseat.
“She said she just have to do questions one through ten.” Lenora answered as Arvin began to drive away.
“Okay. Wanna do em together?” Lenora asked as she turned around in her seat.
“Yeah. Let’s do em together.”
“Why don’t you do five and Y/n do five and then you just copy each other’s answers?” Arvin suggested.
“We can’t do that.” You laughed like it was ridiculous to even suggest.
“Why not?” Arvin wondered.
“Because thats cheating.”
Arvin looked at you in the rearview mirror to see if you were being serious and smiled when he saw that you were. He was always a bad student and found it endearing that you were a good one.
“It’s hardly cheating.” Arvin shrugged. “You’re still doing half the questions. And you were gonna do em together anyway.”
“Arvin.” Lenora hissed and hit his arm.
“What? I’m just saying.”
“Stop it.” She whispered and flicked her eyes towards you in the backseat. She thought Arvin was embarrassing her, but you were actually enjoying the conversation.
“For your information, Arvin, I do not cheat. Not even hardly.” You said as you playfully smiled at him in the rearview mirror.
“Wow. You must be a goody two shoes then, huh?” Arvin asked you.
“Arvin.” Lenora said warningly.
“So what if I am?” You asked as you looked at him through your eyelashes.
“Nothings wrong with that.” Arvin shrugged. “Just can’t say the same for myself.”
“Arvin got in a lot of fights at school.” Lenora spoke up to change the subject.
“Did you?” You laughed in surprise.
“Only when something was worth fighting for.” Arvin smirked at you in the mirror.
“Did you always win?” You asked him.
“I won the ones that mattered.”
“Interesting.” You said as you held eye contact with each other in the mirror. Lenora looked back and forth between the two of you and gagged a little.
“We’re here. Let’s go, Y/n.” She said as Arvin pulled up to the house. Lenora immediately got out of the car and opened your door for you before Arvin got a chance.
“Thanks for the ride, Arvin.” You called as Lenora pulled you by the hand towards her house.
“Anytime.” He shouted back. He went in the house shortly after the two of you did but Lenora had already taken you to her room. He went on with his day and did his chores around the house but he could not stop thinking about you. He knew it was wrong to have feelings for his sisters friend, but you were making it hard not to. He was thinking of how to get to know you better when he heard a scream from Lenora’s room. He immediately ran to her room and burst through the door.
“What? What’s wrong?” He asked his sister.
“There’s a rat!” Lenora screamed.
“A rat?” Arvin asked just as the creature ran across the room.
“AHHH!” Lenora screamed again. “Arvin, kill it.”
“Where did it go?” He asked as he grabbed a broom from the corner of the room. Arvin noticed you slip out the bedroom door but before he could ask where you were going, Lenora screamed again.
“It’s In the corner. Get it!” Lenora cried.
“Wait!” You said as he ran back into the room. Arvin took a step back as you knelt down in front of the mouse.
“Come here.” You said in a sweet voice as you waved a small leaf in front of the mouse. The mouse sniffed the air before scurried towards you. You gently scooped it up in your hands and stood up.
“How did you do that?“ Arvin asked in disbelief.
“It’s not a rat. Just a field mouse. They only come inside when they eat all the plants outside. I can take him back to my house and release him there. There’s lots of plants for him to eat on my lawn.” You explained. Arvin watched you with soft eyes as you stroked the mouses head with your finger.
“Wow. You’re really smart, darling.” Arvin said as he walked over to you.
“Thanks. I just love animals. Wouldn’t want to see him get hurt.” You smiled as you opened your hands a little so you could show him the mouse. Arvin was too busy admiring you to look down at the mouse. He knew he had only just met you, but he was already smitten.
That Sunday, Arvin was dragging his feet as the rest of his family got ready for church. He never liked going, but he went to make Lenora happy.
“Come on, Arvin. We’re gonna be late.” Lenora urged as he parked in the church parking lot. He rolled his eyes a little as he got out of the car and followed his sister inside. Just as he zoned out, he saw you walking towards him. He quickly sat up and smoothed his hair as you sat beside him.
“Hi darling.” He whispered. “I didn’t know you go to this Parrish.”
“I don’t.” You whispered back.
“Oh really? Stalking me then, darling?”
“I’m just teasing.” You smiled. “I run the church day care on Sundays. I’m usually in the back reading to the young kids during mass.”
“Wow. Aren’t you a little saint?” He smirked and turned in his seat to get a better look at you.
“Better to be a saint then a sinner.” You shrugged, making his smile grow.
“Maybe so.”
“I better get back to the kids. Good to see you, Arvin.” You patted his knee and went to stand up.
“Darling, wait.” He gently caught you by the wrist.
“Yes?”
“Can I come see the daycare?” He asked as fellow churchgoers gave you annoyed looks.
“Really? You want to?”
“Sure I do. I don’t need to sit through the homily. I know the ending.” He said as he nodded towards a Bible. You laughed at his joke before nodding your head.
“Come on. I’ll show you.” You took his hand and brought him back to the daycare. Arvin blushed at you holding his hand and followed you out to a building behind the church.
“Hi kids. I’m back and I brought a visitor.” You said when you opened the door. All the kids rushed to you as Arvin hung back.
“Look what I drew Miss Y/n!” A little boy said as he showed you his drawing.
“You drew this? This looks like you got it out of a museum.” You gasped as you wrapped your arm around the bot. Arvin was delighted to see that you were just as good with kids as you were with animals.
“Thank you.” The boy smiled shyly. You let go of the boy and hung the drawing up on the wall.
“You’re good with kids.” Arvin remarked as he joined your side.
“Thanks.” You smiled at him. “I try to be. I love looking after ‘em.”
“Spider!” One of the kids screamed before Arvin could respond. All the kids started screaming and the room erupted into chaos. You gave Arvin an apologetic smile before going over to the kids.
“I got it.” You assured them. You picked up a cup of colored pencils and dumped it out before showing the kids the cup. You put the cup over the spider before sliding a piece of paper under the cup. The kids watched with fascination as you brought the cup over to the window. Arvin opened the window for you, earning another smile. You put the cup outside the window and let the spider out on a bush.
“There you go, Mr. Spider.” You said before shutting the window. “Gather around, kids. Come look at the spider.”
All the kids ran to the window to get a look at the spider. Their fear melted into excitement as they looked at the creature.
“See? You don’t have to be scared. All God’s creatures serve a purpose. Even the small ones matter.” You told them, always taking the opportunity to teach a lesson. You caught Arvin staring at you fondly and waved him over.
“Did you want to see?” You asked and pointed to the spider.
“Yeah. Yeah, I’m looking.” Arvin replied, never taking his eyes off of you.
The following week, Arvin was driving home from work when he spotted you through his window. You were holding yourself and walking home, your body language suggesting that you were far from okay. He slowed down so that he could drive along the side of you and rolled his window down.
“Darling? Is that you?” He shouted out the window. You looked over to see who the voice belonged to and gulped when you realized it was Arvin.
“No.” You replied before walking faster. Arvin sped up to match your pace before calling out to you again.
“I know it’s you. Come here.”
“I’m okay. Just keep driving.” You said as you turned your face so he couldn’t see you.
“I’m not leaving ‘till you come here and talk to me.” He replied. You stopped walking and sighed a little before walking over to his car. When you got closer, Arvin finally saw why you were upset. Your nose was bleeding and he could see a bruise forming around your eye. Your messed up hair and busted knuckles only further proved Arvins forming theory that you had gotten in a fight.
“What happened to you?” He asked as he put his car into park and quickly got out. He immediately ran to you and cupped your face to see the extent of your injuries.
“Nothing.” You said and gave him a weak, bloody smile.
“You’re bleeding. Something must have happened.” He sighed as his eyes filled his concern.
“I fell.”
“Into what? A wood chipper?” Arvin asked, making your shoulders shake with laughter.
“Good. Glad to see you smiling again.” Arvin smiled as he smoothed your hair down. “Now can you get in the car please?”
“I’m fine. Don’t worry about me.”
“I am worried. And you’re not fine. So get in.” Arvin said. You sighed a little before complying. Arvin opened the door for you and helped you in. Once you were both seated, Arvin went into his glove box and pulled out a handkerchief.
“Here. For you nose.” He said as he held it out to you.
“Thanks.” You smiled sheepishly and held the handkerchief up to your bleeding nose.
“Do you want to tell me what happened?” Arvin kept his eyes on you as he drove away.
“No.” You said quietly.
“Okay.”
“Where are we going?” You asked after a beat of silence.
“Back to my house. Gotta get you cleaned up.”
“Really, Arvin, I’m fine. You can just drop me off at home.”
“Is anyone in your family home?”
“No. My parents are at work.”
“Well then can I at least stay with you? Don’t think you should be alone right now.” Arvin said as he looked over at you.
“Yeah.” You smiled softly. “You can stay.”
“Okay.” He returned the smile. “Just tell me where to go.”
You reached over and gave Arvins knee an appreciative squeeze to thank him for taking care of him. He listened to you as you directed him to your house and soon enough, he pulled into your driveway. Arvin parked and got out of the car to open the door for you.
“Thank you.” You gave him a weak smile as you got out of the car. Arvin kept a hand on your back as he helped you into your house.
“Where’s your bathroom?” He asked once you were inside.
“Down the hallway on the left.”
“Okay. Come with me.” Arvin said as he gently took you by the hand. He walked with you to your bathroom and opened the door for you once again.
“Sit.” He said as he nodded to the counter. He found your first aid kit beneath the sit as you jumped up on your counter. He got out a Cotten ball and soaked it in hydrogen peroxide. He gently took your chin between his fingers and tilted your chin up.
“Arvin-“
“Hush now. Your lip is bleeding.” He said as he dabbed them Cotten ball on your lip.
“You really don’t have to do this.”
“I said hush.” He repeated, making you crack a smile. He finished cleaning your lip and moved on to the cut above your eye.
“I can take care of myself. Honest. You should go home.” You told him as he carefully dabbed some Neosporin on your cut.
“I’m good right here.” He said as he opened up a bandaid.
“You don’t have to-“
“Hush.” He related as he tilted your face up again. He put the bandaid on your cut and smiled proudly at his work.
“You gonna tell me how this happened?” He asked as he cleaned the dried blood that had settled beneath your nose.
“No.”
“Why not?”
“Don’t want you telling Lenora, that’s why.“
“Why? Thought you two were best friends.”
“We are. That’s why I don’t want her to know I was fighting.”
“You can tell me though, darling. I can keep a secret.”
“I don’t wanna tell you.” You said quietly as Arvin poured hydrogen peroxide on another Cotten ball.
“Why?” He wondered as he took your hand. “You know I’ve been in plenty of fights myself. I’m not one to judge.”
“Still.” You gave him an apologetic smile as he cleaned your bloody knuckles for you.
“Can I at least know who did this to you?” He asked as he got some gauze out of the first aid kit.
“Why? Are you gonna do something to them?” You teased. “Lenora told me what you did to those rascals that pick on her. Heard you left em with a couple broken noses.
“You heard right.” Arvin smirked. “And I’d do the same to whoever did this to you.”
“You can’t. It was just some dumb girls in my class.” You said as Arvin wrapped your hand with the bandage.
“Why did they do this to you?” He asked you. You gave him an embarrassed look before looking away.
“What?” He wondered.
“I started the fight.” You admitted as a smile tugged at your lips.
“Yeah?” He raised his eyebrows in surprise. “Why’d you fight em?”
“Cant tell you that.” You shrugged, liking that he was so intrigued.
“You can tell me, doll.” He whined. “I won’t judge. Promise.”
“Promise?” You raised an eyebrow and held out your pinky.
“Promise.” He smiled and linked his pinky through yours.
“They were making fun of Lenora.” You admitted. “They’re always making fun of Lenora. One of the girls pushed her so I pushed the girl back and told Lenora to run.”
“And then you….” Arvin trailed off so you could finish your story.
“And then I beat those bitches up.” You shrugged, making Arvin burst out laughing.
“Darling.” He said through his laughter.
“Somebody had to it.” You insisted. “They’ve been cruising for a bruising all year.”
“You did this for my sister?” Arvin asked as he held up your bandaged hand.
“Some things are worth fighting for.” You replied, using his words from the day you met. Arvin smiled softly before bringing your hand up to his lips to kiss your knuckles.
“And here I was thinking you wouldn’t hurt a fly.”
“I would if the fly was being mean to you sister.” You said simply.
“Well I appreciate you doing that, doll.” He said as he held your gaze. “Means a lot to me.”
“Well your sister means a lot to me. She’s the greatest friend I ever had. I wish those other girls could see how great she is. Not that they’re gonna be able to see anything for a while. Left em with some lovely black eyes.” You smirked as Arvin held your hand against his chest. You could feel his heart pounding and pretended not to notice.
“I bet.” Arvin chuckled. “How do your knuckles feel?”
“Pretty sore.”
“I know. Trust me, I’ve busted mine a hundred times. It’ll get better.” Arvin said as he showed you his permanently red knuckles. You took his hand and looked at his knuckles while gently running your thumb over them. He blushed under your touch while you wondered just how many fights he had been in.
“Thanks for patching me up, Arvin.” You said as you looked up at home without ever dropping his hand.
“Thanks for defending my sister.” He said with a smile. You flexed your hand a little as you checked out the bandaging.
“You know, they feel better already.” You told Arvin as he leaned on the counter, an arm on either side of you.
“Yeah? How does your lip feel?” Arvin asked as he tilted your chin up with his pinky.
“Still hurts.” You said as your eyes flickered between his lips and his soft brown eyes. Arvin gulped a little before closing the gap between you and kissing you softly. He could taste blood in his mouth but he didn’t care, choosing to deepen the kiss instead.
“How about now?” Arvin asked when he pulled away.
“A little better.” You smiled as you pulled him by the shirt down into another kiss. It lasted longer this time as Arvin cupped your face with his rough hands.
“And now?” He whispered against your lips.
“It actually really hurts now. I think you opened the cut.” You touched and touched your fingertips to your bleeding lip.
“Yeah. Let me get that.” He grimaced and dabbed the blood away with a clean Cotten ball.
“Why don’t we wait a couple days until my lip heals and then try that again?” You suggested as Arvin tucked some of your hair behind your ear.
“Sounds good to me, doll.” Arvin smiled. “Some things are worth the wait.”

In That Dress (t.h)
Tumblr media
summary: y/n's costume at the Holland's annual costume party causes a little issue for tom
a/n: ok this is complete sleep-deprived shit, but i might have broken through my writers' block so yay!
this is based off of a group costume with some friends last halloween, hence the names of y/n's friend group. it's random, but enjoy!
Boyfriend!Tom, Established relationship, fluff, hint of smut
Tumblr media
"I vote Scooby-Doo," says Meg, strolling over to the kitchen and opening up the fridge. "Are you telling me you don't see the likeness between Ant and Scooby? It's uncanny."
You sigh, glancing over at your friends spread over the kitchen table at Tom's house. They'd come over an hour ago to finalise costume plans for the annual Holland costume party this weekend, and not one plan had been made.
"Do I get to be Daphne if we go as Scooby-Doo?" asks Angie. "Wait, what's their group name? The Scooby-Doos? Scooby-Doo crew?" she puts her head in her hands.
"Mystery Inc." mutters Kai, scrolling through his phone. in the corner.
"Okay, we can't be the Scooby-Doo crew because Angie's dyslexia can't cope with it." says Ant, rubbing Angie's back sympathetically. "Why don't we circle back to the Spice Girls idea?"
The rest of the group considers.
"That's actually not a bad idea," agrees Meg.
The conversation pauses as Harrison strolls  in, blinking when he sees the five people unexpectedly in Tom's kitchen.
"Oh, hey Y/N, hey guys." he says. "Uh, I was just popping in to check- uh-"
You roll your eyes at him.
"I won't tell him you were here. I'll just blame it on that racoon that he thinks is breaking in and eating all his food." you say.
He grins.
"Thanks. So, have you guys sorted your costumes for Friday night?" he asks. "Harry and Sam are going as Gru and Dr Nefario, apparently they're the ones to beat."
"That's what we've been trying to do for the last hour and a half," sighs Ant. "Tell me, which Spice Girl do you think I am?"
Harrison snorts, before realising Ant is serious and trying to cover it up as a cough.
"Baby Spice," he answers quickly, blurting out the first Spice Girl that came to mind. "Y/N has to be Ginger Spice, by the way. Tom'll probably cum in his pants."
You clap your hand over your mouth as your friends laugh, wiggling their eyebrows suggestively.
"Why? Why would he do that?"
Harrison shrugs.
"He was borderline obsessed with her for a while when we were teenagers." he says. "Couldn't really explain it. Later, guys!" he calls as he slinks out the back door.
Tumblr media
The music pumps from downstairs, vibrating the carpeted floor as you pull on your white knee-high boots. Nikki had been kind enough to let you and your friends borrow her bedroom to get ready for the costume party. Slipping a redheaded wig on your head, you glance in the mirror as Angie pokes her head around the door from the ensuite bathroom.
"Y/N!" she calls. "Tuwaine just texted to tell us we're up next, are you ready?"
You nod, applying one more coat of red lipstick as you follow her down the hall. Your group gathers on the landing, just around the corner from the top of the staircase. Right on cue, the lights go out, bringing a few gasps from the partygoers at the bottom of the stairs. In the darkness you find your places, posed as the group and giggling as you bump into each other. Somewhere downstairs, someone adjusts the music and ‘Spice Up Your Life' begins to play loudly. The lights come on and you strut down the stairs as a group, eliciting cheers and whistles from the partygoers. Reaching the bottom of the stairs, you pose one last time as Harry snaps a few photos, struggling to operate his camera with his fake Gru nose in the way.
As the group breaks apart, Tom pushes his way to the front and brings you into an embrace. You don't miss the way his eyes take in your costume, his breath hitching in his throat at the tight fitting dress, glittery sequins making up the Union Jack flag and accentuating your curves perfectly. He rests his hands on your hip, careful not to spill his beer on your outfit as he leans in close.
"You're so sexy in that get-up, love." he whispers, lips brushing against your ear. "Can barely keep my hands off of you."
He peppers tiny kisses over your neck, pushing you gently to the side of the room. He backs you up against the living room wall, bumping into people dancing on his way. You moan quietly, threading your fingers through his dark curls as he gently ruts his hips into yours, hoping to find some kind of friction.
"Tom! Y/N!" calls Sam, rolling his eyes and pushing his way through the crowd towards the two of you. "Stop feeling each other up in public and come see Harrison and Grace's costume!"
He disappears into the moving crowd and you push Tom off gently, beginning to follow Sam. Tom doesn't move from where he's still facing the wall, pulling you back by the hand.
"Y/N!" he hisses. "I can't go right now."
You frown, gently tugging on his hand.
"I want to go see Harrison and Grace's costumes. Apparently they were coming as Titanic and the iceberg, and I’ve got to see how they pulled that one off."
"Y/N, I can't go right now." he whines, blushing furiously and turning to the wall even more as an aunt of his walks past, nodding at the two of you. You give her a polite smile before pulling Tom to face you by the shoulders. You bite your lip to keep from laughing as Tom pouts at you. It seems he was telling the truth when he said he enjoyed your outfit. The tent in his pants said that all too clearly.
"You've gotta help me baby," he whines, attempting to cover himself with his hands. They're gonna bring out the food soon and all my family are gonna see!"
You rest your head on his shoulder as you laugh, trying to control yourself enough to assess the situation.
"Do you think if we hang out here for a minute, Little Tom will go away on his own?" you ask.
Tom shakes his head, turning towards the wall in shame again.
"Not while you're in that dress." he blushes.
You roll your eyes affectionately, glancing around to make sure no one's paying too much attention. You stand in front of him, wrapping your arms around his neck and shielding the front of his body as you begin to guide him up the stairs towards his old bedroom before anyone will notice.
"You owe me, Holland."

“you better come quick, y/n. he’s hurt real bad.”
lenora drags you down the hall to arvin’s room. you rush behind her, letting her guide you by your hand.
“how bad is it? is he gonna be okay?” you ask. “you know arvin. he’s always gettin’ into trouble,” lenora sighs. “but he’s back on his feet in no time,” she reminds you. “your brother’s a champ, i’ll give him that,” you agree. the two of you stop in front of arvin’s bedroom door. “so are you for puttin’ up with him,” lenora smiles.
“thanks, nora. i’ve got it from here.”
lenora nods and disappears back down the hallway. you enter the room without bothering to knock, concern evident on your features. arvin is laid on his bed with a damp washcloth held to his forehead, his face littered with gashes. he jolts up when you barge in.
“aw, baby,” you coo, taking a seat at the edge of the bed. “it’s late, sweetheart. what’re you doing here?” arvin wonders. “lenora rang. said you had an accident,” you cup his face in both your hands. your thumbs smooth over the slices in his skin. “what happened?” you frown. “it was nothin’. nothin’ you need to worry your pretty little head about,” arvin assures you.
you raise a stern eyebrow at your boyfriend. he props himself up on his elbows and sets his washcloth aside, revealing a bump on his forehead.
“that’s not nothin’, arvin,” you gasp. “you get into another fight? if that son of a bitch gene is still pickin’ on you, i swear i’ll-“
“settle down, sweetheart. i ain’t fight nobody,” arvin chuckles, arms looping around your waist. “got a little banged up while i was workin’ on my car, that’s all,” he says. “but you work on your car all the time. never been hurt like this,” you tilt his head up to better inspect his face. “yeah, i know. made a mistake this time,” arvin winces.
“what kind of mistake?”
“i had the hood popped, and it sorta closed on me.”
arvin offers a pained smile. you let out a breath and press your forehead to his, careful to avoid the bump on it. he pulls you into his lap, his grin widening.
“didn’t break no bones or anything, did you? maybe we should get you checked up.”
“that’s alright. i’m okay, sweetness. promise.”
your eyes search for arvin’s. they meet yours.
“you sure? ‘cause lenora made it sound like somethin’ serious,” you recall. “shoot, she wasn’t even supposed to tell you,” arvin mumbles. “why not?” you furrow your eyebrows. “i don’t like it when you worry ‘bout me, and now you’re worryin’,” he nudges your forehead with his.
“i love you, arvin. can’t help it.”
“i love you, too. but i hate seein’ you so stressed out.”
“then don’t be so stressful.”
arvin captures your lips in a soft kiss. one of your hands travels down the back of his neck, lips moving slowly with his.
“think we both need a good night’s sleep. you wanna stay over?” arvin speaks up. “course,” you smile.
the two of you crawl into bed, cuddling up in each other’s arms. you kiss the bump on arvin’s forehead before he drifts off to a well deserved slumber.
