Silver fox hides wild fox excrement 🦊  @DenisKorza  #fox #naturelovers #animals A decent silver fox helped his wild relatives clean up the backyard. Now I hope that wild red foxes will come and teach their domesticated counterpart not to shit next to the bowl! One good turn deserves another 🤗 For business inquiries: [email protected] ⚠️ The Silver Fox (aka Melanistic fox, or Black fox, or Silver-black fox, or Vulpes vulpes in Latin) is the RAREST FOX in the world, listed on the International Union for Conservation of Nature Red List as an ENDANGERED species ⚠️ In the wild, the Silver foxes is very rare, as the melanistic population in relation to Red Foxes is only 10%., and this 10% is subject to extermination by non-civilized people who take the lives of animals for entertainment and profit. 📢 Please share this important information about special foxes and it will help keep them alive! 💚 Learn more about FOX colors 🦊 https://youtu.be/zUAstboD_QU ▶️ https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLFfYXAEfRVMNjmS6mCcmqGlcLz6a83gR6 ▶️ https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLFfYXAEfRVMPAuCvOrkSE8LZAtflk7LRX ▶️ https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLFfYXAEfRVMNvhXZ6i1UQLTaH2PruH01e ▶️ https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLFfYXAEfRVMMMHdFzxtnVv7Jv0u3uTBdN ▶️ https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLFfYXAEfRVMMkgHyyPKbaMZLqeOGVETjy ▶️ https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLFfYXAEfRVMMzgxXlEBc3KNYd1xBF2z0p ▶️ https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLFfYXAEfRVMMi492SK-wKU7kCkfBcNRzU https://www.youtube.com/deniskorza 🔰 https://www.instagram.com/korzagru https://twitter.com/korzagru https://www.facebook.com/korzagru

Smudge the Arctic Marble Fox! 🦊
Tumblr media
Final of my old characters I'm redesigning for now!
I'm really busy with moving house, and I set a deadline of the end of January for finishing all these redesign arts, so I ended up using a couple of bases for her. Kinda glad I did, though, because the art style makes her look like such a marketable plushie! ;w; 🧸
Huge credits to Dont-Jinxit and TallyCat for the bases, such incredible artists!!! <333
Also huge thank you to @suri-da for helping with the wunzie design!
I'm so proud of how Smudge has evolved, she's such a beloved character to me. 💜
Her Toyhouse!

I used to wonder why foxes - red foxes in anime are most often depicted as white or blond and sometimes light brown whereas in western literature are often depicted with rich rusty red or bright orange fur. Orange foxes do exist in anime, but not as common as white and flaxen-furred foxes. I knew not to let the species term fool me as I was aware of the existence of albino, leucistic, and melanistic(silver and black) foxes a long time ago as well as the color mutations of domesticated red foxes. However, I also knew that red foxes can vary in color in the wild as well in various parts of the Earth. I can understand why most kitsune are drawn with gold to white fur. I have seen photos of foxes in Japan and a lot of them are pale or brown. The foxes at the famous Zao Fox Village are probably not native to Japan. A lot of them look like they were rescued from fur farms where they were bred with color variants(including marble, silver, and pearl). The rest of them look like red foxes from North America as shown here:
Tumblr media
However, there is the subspecies in Hokkaido known as the Ezo fox that does not look much different:
Tumblr media
Otherwise, most foxes in Japan seem to look like this:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
They appear to have a top coat that can shed in the Summer which is sort of similar to their arctic cousins. Many of the red foxes with the more classical red coat with prominent markings with the black feet and white-tipped tail are most common in Europe and North America.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
However, they don't all look the same in these regions. I have seen photos of red foxes in Wyoming and Alaska where many of them can have pale fur that tends to be long. There are even red foxes with light-colored fur in the eastern U.S. I have seen one before here in Tennessee.

Fur advocates and Animal Rights Advocates alike have a propensity for mislabeling long, white furs. The three most common species for long, white-colored furbearers are finnraccoon, red fox, and arctic fox. Despite their similarities it’s still possible to distinguish between the three.
White Tanuki (Nyctereutes viverrinus) - both the albino and leucistic morphs are used in the fur industry for white finnracoon. Finnraccoons posses the longest guard hairs in the industry, as well as having thick, sturdy guard hairs. These guard hairs will catch the light in photographs and make it recognizable in comparison to fox.
White Morph Red Fox (Vulpes vulpes fulvus) - Red foxes come in a variety of white colorations such as Georgian (almost completely white), light silver marble (light grey dorsal stripe), as well as pure white and albino. They have a long pile fur but the guard hairs are not as pronounced as the finnracoon, and the fur on the neck will be distinctly longer than the fur on the shoulders.
Tumblr media
Polar Artic Fox (Vulpes lagopus) - Polar artic fox (used interchangeably with ‘shadow fox’ in the industry although there are differences) have been selectively bred to have an equal pile fur that is thick and short. The coloring is typically pure white although there are occasionally slightly darker dorsal stripes. Polar arctic foxes are the most common in the fur trade and the most common for dyed furs. These are the most common white furs in the fur trade.
Blue Fox (Vulpes lagopus) - Similar to polar arctic, the blue fox has been bred for even, shorter hairs that will appear even throughout the coat. Typically no distinct neck ruff will be present aside from darker hairs along the shoulders and back. Currently light blue foxes are favored as they’re easy to dye. These are the second most common for white fur.

How did you know if your a therian or not...
I've been struggling to figure it out
Cuz I have DID and I have animal alters
Does that count?
I can't help with the DID animal alters part as someone who is not a system, so I'm very sorry about that !!! Therianthropy is a bit complicated sometimes so you may need to ask someone else for their thoughts on that.
For me, I discovered I was a therian not too long after I learned what they were. I had a vague understanding for around a year but I didn't really bother to look more into it, I didn't think I was one
A month or so before I realized I may be a therian I had started looking into it a lot more, and finally realized that 1- favorite animals are different than genuinely feeling like i WAS one and 2- those occasional dreams of me being a fox in the same place with the same other foxes. was how i started piecing together my past life it wasnt just me being silly
not all therianthropy is past-life based, of course, and red fox kit is my only past-life theriotype
therianthropy isnt linear or one exact experience
i have seven kintypes- three otherkin (one of those three being fictionkin) and four theriotypes.
when i started identifying as a therian it just felt so,,, right. it felt like i had finally found a part of me id been denying for a long time.
finding out my other types happened pretty quickly as i started realizing traits i was experiencing werent red fox and happened too often to just be random shifts that happen sometimes
which is how i ended up here !!!!!
questioning and being wrong is always okay !!!! i thought i was a marble fox for quite a while but i dont believe i am, i think its arctic fox instead.
remember, if youre questioning being a therian, very few parts of it are universal. quads and gear and vocals and such do NOT make you more or less of a therian, they are simply ways to connect with types. some therians do not shift at all, some are constantly shifting psycological and spiritual and past life therians are all just as valid as the others
uhhh yeah idk !!!!!! if you have any specific other questions youre welcome to dm me !! sorry i cant help a ton !!!!
