Today I finally got to visit the Colombian Navy’s flagship, training ship ARC Gloria, which docked for the weekend at Barranquilla’s Malecón del Río.
It’s a lot smaller in person, but not less beautiful, my first time inside a sailing ship!

Rimi and Noelle went to a place where no one can see them. They decide to wear some formalities, where Rimi ties her hair and put a shirt with tie, and Noelle puts her outfit from Gala. However, she still has her sleeping pants on.
Once they done it, they back to the summit.
Y'know, Noey? This event is not so big as a previous one, but… I think we have so much fun regardless, yeah?
So true. So many friends to make. I'm not gonna count some troubles we've got.
They both make some deep breathes to forget what happened to them. For Rimi, it was a "small" talk with a strange hybrid Eeveelution and of course the trouble communicating with a "Purrloin". Noelle had trouble with a sassy Absol which almost caused her to forcefully mega evolve.
Soon after, Rimi is putting her paws behind her back. Noelle is very nervous what's Rimi is planning.
Noey… I'm gonna be honest with ya. I didn't expect to be in this place at all. I know it gives us terrible memories, but that's not very important. So sorry if I picked a place for this special day.
Ya don't need to apologize, Rim. This place is also gonna give us some good memories because at least it's not our Dragonspiral Tower.
Rimi stays silent even after Noelle's words. She sees through her eyes and blushes.
W-w-w…
Go on, Rim! I'm rootin' for you!

Noelle cries because her beloved made a proposal. If it's not their time together at the school, she might simply say "no". Rimi put the engagement ring to middle finger on Noelle's paw.
As they engaged, everyone come and see the event. Noelle decides to show it to everyone.
Rimi and Noelle are now engaged.

Gloria and Hop are scheming to get Leon and Wes together, and the first step in Operation DesertSportShipping is a makeover! And a printed league card. (They totally aren't doing this to get back at Leon for grounding them, they would never)
Anyways, serious thoughts about Wes as a gym leader under the cut:
We all know that if Wes were to be a gym leader, it would be because he snagged the Prestige Gym from Justy.
He also wouldn't get a special outfit change. He just doesn't care enough.
He still gives out the TM for Return, but the special "gym badge" is a double sided knife. The Mayor doesn't like this but can't really do anything to stop him.
His roles as gym leader (and champion of the colosseums) is two sided. He teaches the kids entering how to hold their own in battle in the colosseums, and he tests his students before letting them participate in any colosseums.
(He doesn't let any of his alumni participate in the Deep Colosseum, not because he doesn't want any challengers to his title that he doesn't care about, but because the old Cipher admins are still down there so it's too dangerous. He does go down there to kick ass so that they don't get any ideas about reviving Cipher)
Again, because Orre is weird, he doesn't have any set types. He will customize his gym team to challenge whoever is battling him. Regardless, every team has Espeon and Umbreon as the aces.
The gym challenge is trying to successfully pickpocket a Pokeball from the trainer's belts, and if a challenger is caught they have to battle.

i'm having heaps of fun with dead woman walking because the conflict at the end of dmt is how nick's unshakable moral core and how gloria's nature as a human being who is complicated— and has done and is capable of awful things to necessitate her survival and isn't ashamed of that— can't ever be resolved. it can't, fundamentally. those two things will always be in a conflict. nick can understand, but can't partake in human nature himself; he doesn't need to eat, sleep or worry about disease, so his horse gets pretty high. the fun of dww for me is 1) seeing how that plays out in a comfortable, domestic setting over three years and 2) seeing what that does in a very extreme setting, that is to say, how hard can i pull this elastic band before it snaps and stops 'feeling' like nick

The Barbie movie was... Unsatisfying from a writing perspective where none of the arcs felt fulfilled or earned enough to actually be called good besides being a vent piece that'll connect to people who went through that specific form of trauma and it's left up to be vague enough that any interpretation is seen as valid as long as you liked the film
#as a Barbie collector it was Fine#but as a film the writing needed to be refined more#lile why did Barbie want to become a person if the 2 hours she spent as a real person sucked ass and she wasnt unsatisfied being a doll?#did Gloria get any conclusion to her arc beyond a half hearted reach out from sasha and a vague Mattel acknowledgement#like no one really got a cpnclusion to their arcs#the movie just fucking ends

Marseille. Avant-hier, 8 mai, je suis allé en ville pour l'arrivée de la flamme olympique. Me voici au Palais du Pharo.
Après les feux d'artifice autour du Belem, le point d'orgue est inattendu : un arc-en-ciel au dessus du Vieux-Port, du Fort Saint-Jean à Notre-Dame de la Garde, qui va durer presque une demi-heure !!! Incroyable !
Sur la dernière, au J4 du port de la Joliette, flotte le gigantesque drapeau colombien du trois-mâts "le Gloria".
