Shout out to Aphmau mf really making me get a headache from the color purple.
But this is my interpretation of most of the outfits Aphmau is dressed up in season 1 of MCD. Imma explain them in a kinda simple way and some ideas I got when doodling them!
Adventure outfit/ the starting fit- The outfit Aph wears most of the time, it is her base skin and a simple purple top with grey pants and grey boots, it don’t have much going for I but it’s comfortable and easy to fight and move in.
Bridesmaids outfit- This is what she wears during Donna’s wedding (I forgot the flower crown) but it’s not to easy to fight in and very much is just a simple and comfortable dress.
Amethyst dress- The dress that was given to Aph when she made it to Pikoro Village. It isn’t to good to fight in but damn Aph looks good
4. Nude- I just needed to make a base, but this is what her markings look like teehee
5. Winter clothes- the clothing Aph is given when she is traveling through the snowy lands. It is padded and all and all a very warm outfit, though it is kinda heavy.
6. Lord Outfit- The outfit Aph wears when her village is attacked, it is breathable and able to work with her fighting style(a lot more speed and agility based) She slay

Aphmau’s season 1 outfits!
Yes I know the underwear isn’t period accurate but I like my skin shading. Besides nothing else is either.
Explanation of the outfits below!
Her adventurer’s outfit prioritizes being hard to take off rather than comfort. Bandits are a large problem for adventurers, so her backpack is fastened to her body with three straps. Her boots and pants are similar belted to her. Adventurers can go days without bathing or changing clothing, so being fast to take off isn’t on her priority list. Her overlayer is a corset-gambeson hybrid that supports her back over long journeys and isn’t unbearably uncomfortable. Her sleeves are short to allow her to do hard labor without issue.
Both the wedding outfit and amethyst outfit are modeled after pre-existing dresses. The amethyst one is slightly shorter to allow it to stay clean. Both have long sleeves, though the wedding outfit is particularly unreasonable. Cadenza thought it was ok since it was only an occasions dress.
Her snow outfit was something thrown together by Dante. The main body of the coat was modified from one of his own spares. The rest was clothing taken from Brightport.
Her lord outfit was crafted by Cadenza for both form and fashion. The body of the outfit is made from a thick, black gambeson. Overtop are decorative pauldrons, an extra layer of purple cloth around the hip, and a thick belt. The pants are multi-layered with a purple strip for flair. Her boots are tall, made of thick gray leather. Her gloves are partially made of that same material except around the hand to allow for greater movement. The outfit makes a powerful statement with a pretty silhouette, all without jeopardizing safety

The gold coil that has the amethyst is a piece of wedding jewelry, representing her tie to Aphmau. The blue crystal is one for Levin. Eventually when they meet and adopt Malachi she adds an emerald into her hair. The seashell was one that Levin picked up and gave to her. The pearl earrings were a gift from Donna and Logan(mainly Donna. Logan didn't know until he saw Zoey on the day of the wedding). Donna, Molly, and Emma were her bridesmaids. Donna did her makeup

Okay I pulled most these out my ass so if it doesn’t make sense ignore that 🤓
Levin is a yggdrasil elf, well half, Matilda was an elf therefore he is also one. He wasn’t “blessed” by the trees so most (especially the elder elves) don’t consider him to be legit elf (elves don’t believe in One-Drop-Rule lmao). He also doesn’t have magiks which kinda goes in hand with his disconnection to The Yggdrasil Forest.
That being said, the trees do considers him to be an elf. The yggdrasil trees either absorb corrupt elves, dead/dying elves or non-elves. The trees recognise his elf heritage so he would play in the forests with the other children frequently.
He has elf like features, for example- big, almond eyes that are widely spaced, slit pupils, squashed face and pointed ears. A lot of people used to think he wasn’t developing properly till zoey pointed out the ears hiding away in his puffy hair.
He has always had a fascination with nature. Yes this is also a elf thing, elf Levin is basically canon! As a kid aphmau noticed bugs were drawn to Levin’s room for some reason and insects like bees would often land on him when playing outside. Levin would also stuff plants in his diaper for “safe keepings” which was definitely a pleasant surprise for Zoey to find (/s)
Levin and Malachi used to share a bed till they were like 13. Levin would always move around in his sleep, rotating, spreading out, kicking etc. Malachi was basically forced to sleep on the floor. When Malachi finally decided to get his own bed Levin cried and accused his brother of not loving him. (Malachi teases Levin about this outburst to this day)
Levin loves pigs. He had a lot of pet pigs and boars as a kid. Phoenix Drop has a bit of a food shortage so sadly having pig companions isn’t much of an option anymore. Sometimes Levin ventures outside the walls to find wild boars and befriend them. Malachi teases him, calling him ‘pig boy’ and saying he ‘smells like bacon’ before licking Levin’s face and making chomping noises.
His birthstone is a Amethyst (which is also Aphmau’s signature gemstone). Malik gifted him a amethyst necklace at birth that he’s never taken off. Levin doesn’t remember his father but likes to think the necklace has the spirit of him in it, he often talks to the necklace when he needs advice or comfort.
He’s 5’5 (short king) aphmau is not a fan of her son being taller than her.
Levin’s signature colour is blue, like a turquoise. Garroth’s colour is also turquoise but Levin’s is a bit lighter with a more green tint.

:0 thank you for asking!! i was considering whether to post a list of my role assignments or push out more designs first.
i'll be saying "taking the role" alot because my assignments just meant to be their places in the narrative. i don't plan on everyone having a role assigned to them because god could you imagine...?
divine warriors -> diamonds
※ status-wise this choice feels right but alot of worldbuilding will have to rewritten to suit six diamonds instead of four. there will also be no romantic interest amongst the warriors.
as of now none of the warriors take the role of a specific diamond except for irene being pink diamond and aphmau being rose quartz.
ro'meave family -> pearls
garroth takes the role of chrystal gem pearl / belongs to irene
zane takes the role of white pearl / was irene's pearl before the incident occurred and then given to shad
zianna and garte take the role of blue pearl and yellow pearl respectively / belong to menphia and esmund
vylad has no role because unfortunately there is no green pearl but he belongs to kul'zak
aphmau's family -> chrystal gems
this has been the trickiest part because nothing slots in perfectly. what i'm settling on right now is:
aaron takes the role of greg / alina takes the role of steven
garroth takes the role of pearl / laurance takes the role of amethyst
dante takes the role of lapis / travis takes the role of peridot
i'm still struggling for the rest of the gems because nothing quite feels right...? my current dilemma is

And the start of explaining world building, apologies for waiting this long to actually start writing it. A mixture of convention prep/actually going to a convention and other Minecraft media hyperfixations pushing aphmau to the back burner has made it harder to write. BUTTT, I’m back and forcing myself to write it before I push it off any longer. But here is the post I need to make before I go into depth about our rewrites Zane.
So anyways, ✨✨Premature Shadow Knights✨✨
We are doing things a bit differently for our shadow knight lore/premature shadow knights. Premature Shadow Knights are no longer what shadow knights are before they kill the important person in their life(i.e., lord, loved one). They are now primarily magically created by either witches or warlocks. Though technically there is no set in stone way that they are created or correct way, so there is a big room for error. And in our rewrite there are currently only two people who are known that can create premature shadow knights, though they are currently unnamed.
In most cases premature shadow knights(now going to be shortened to PSK) are created about a year or less before they are fully turned into full shadow knights(full shadow knights are basically undead tortured people/soliders). They are still considered alive, and arent to obviously different by both looking at them or normal interactions with them. Its not normally recommended that they stay PSK for longer than a year.
Becoming a PSK a bit before being turned into a full shadow knight, in most cases makes the process easier/take less time for the person to become a shadow knight. It helps prepare their body both partly physically and mentally. But prolonged periods of time as a PSK can have extremely negative effects to the person.
There are not many PSK that are known and with that not many shadow knights are created after becoming PSK's.

HAPPY MCD ANNIVERSARY!!!
6 years ago, a mcyt popped up onto my recommended on youtube.
i clicked a video, “New World | Minecraft Diaries [S1: Ep. 1] Roleplay Adventure!”
and from then on, my life changed. i know it sounds stupid, but minecraft diaries and aphmau in general changed me.
i know i yell at aphmau a lot, lest it be for plot holes, unexplored characters, awful character development, or even just taking out laurance, she was and always will be my favorite youtuber.
so in this moment, I just wanted to say, thank you so much Jess, for everything you made me into today.
it’s hard to believe it’s been six years since i first clicked on an aphmau video and i’m glad i never once abandoned it.

A Perfect Day - Mystreetia Part 1 Chapter 1

It was a perfect day for a walk.
The sun was shining, not a cloud in sight, and a refreshing breeze wove its way through the alleyways and roads of Solaria, just enough to cool the bustling plaza without scattering merchants’ wares to the wind. Like a brilliant shining jewel atop a dragon’s hoard, the royal castle of Phoenix Drop shimmered in the light cast upon it as it towered over the horizon. Walls and towers of gleaming amethyst and quartz stood watch over the bustling city below, their majesty and grandeur reminding the citizens of the glory of the kingdom of Phoenix Drop, small as it was.
However, while its outside appearance spoke of riches and beauty, the goings on inside crafted a different story. For within one of these ivory towers, the queen and her daughter were causing quite the ruckus, while the Court Alchemist and Head Scribe watched on, unfazed. Normally, the Scribe would be recording the interactions of the royal family for future generations, but it was determined that this argument—which was quickly becoming all-too common of an occurrence—was not exceptionally noteworthy.
“Young Lady, if I catch you attempting to sneak out again this kingdom will need a new heir!” The Alchemist nonchalantly dodged the chair that was thrown, while the small group of servants present in the room scrambled to catch the high-speed furniture before it could shatter against the walls.
“Well maybe if you weren’t so overbearing I wouldn’t feel the need to leave every now and again! It’s always so boring here!” The Princess stamped her foot indignantly, her tiara lying discarded on the floor where she had tossed it. She was still so much like a child, her face contorted into a pout as she ranted and raved about how suffocating her life was, occasionally tossing some trinket or another from her nightstand at her mother, who replied in turn while lecturing her daughter about the responsibility of a royal heir. The room was beginning to look like a warzone, and it was all the servants could do to keep things in one piece while their superiors raged.
“I mean, I can’t even trust you to go out on your own—you couldn’t even remember your way to the banquet hall yesterday!”
“We never use the banquet hall! Of course I couldn’t find it!”
“You get lost going down a one-way street! You’re not capable—”
“Because you never let me try—”
“And if I can’t trust you not to get in trouble within your own home, how can I know you’d be safe going out?”
“YOU NEVER LET ME DO ANYTHING!”
“BECAUSE YOU NEVER WANT TO DO WHAT YOU’RE SUPPOSED TO! You don’t pay attention to your lessons, you run off at a moment’s notice, you’ve chased off more than half of your tutors, and if any of the staff take their eyes off of you for even a moment, you’re trying to sneak outside the walls!” The Queen punctuated her argument by straightening her crown and fixing her hair, before she continued. “Aphmau, sweetie, you need to understand. You are the only heir this tiny kingdom has, and—”
“The only heir this kingdom will ever have, because Dad isn’t around anymore.” Aphmau joined in, having heard the speech before. “I know that. But it gets so stifling here sometimes. I’ve never even—”
“Been outside the castle walls. I know.” Sylvanna’s expression softened, and she pursed her lips before continuing. “But you’re still so young, and if anything were to happen to you…” Sighing, Sylvanna schooled her expression. “You are to return to your studies until further notice. We can go on a walk later.” And with that, she left the room, the servants hurrying after her.
The Alchemist turned to glance at the sulking princess one last time, before turning to follow the Queen. With any luck, the princess would return to her studies after sulking for a few hours, and things would once again return to the usual quiet.
Aphmau watched as her mother left, trying not to cry. Wiping away her tears, she reached down and grabbed her tiara; she moved to place it in its usual perch, but thought better of it.
With a sinister grin, Aphmau moved to grab her traveling cloak from the closet, as well as some of her less extravagant clothes. If she waited for her mother to finish holding court, then it’d be dark by the time they were ready for a walk. Which meant one thing.
Aphmau would have to take matters into her own hands.

“Your Majesty, if I may?” The Alchemist entered the room slowly, respectfully. Sylvanna looked up from her paperwork as one of her closest friends and advisor stepped in the room.
“You needn’t be so formal with me, Terry. We’re friends.” Terrance raised an eyebrow at the remark, and Sylvanna countered his expression with one of her own.
“Of course. Well, you see, I came to tell you that perhaps you need to loosen the boundaries you have set on your daughter.”
“Oh?” The Queen asked, in a tone that implied she would not like to be having this conversation. But Terrance pushed on.
“Now, I understand why you’d have trouble letting go. Believe me, I feel the same about my son. But you have to realize that Aphmau’s not a little girl anymore, and that at this age it’s only natural for her to be curious about her kingdom.”
“It’s not just that.” Sylvanna interjected. “She gets in so much trouble, and she never knows how to handle herself.”
“Yes, because she’s never gotten the chance to even try. You have to let her grow on her own, Sylvanna. At least let her meet other children. She’s going to go crazy if she stays locked up in this castle. Travis and Lucinda are much the same way. All children are.”
“I… I suppose I have been a little overbearing. I… yes. I will organize a meeting between Aphmau and your son. Tomorrow. Your son does have free time tomorrow, right? Hyria won’t be keeping him long?”
Terrance nodded, answering her query. “Yes, I believe Travis will be free tomorrow. But even if he wasn’t, you still have the final say.”
Sylvanna nodded, suddenly looking as old as she was. “Yes, that’s… that’s good. I’ll send one of the staff to let Hyria know. You can go on your way now, Terry.” She waved her hand, looking back down at the documents she had been reading as Terrance left, a soft smile on his face.

Okay, so maybe leaving the castle to explore the town unsupervised was a mistake.
Aphmau was beginning to regret her split-second decision after being pushed aside by some rushing passerby for the fifth time; this one was a dark-haired boy who gave her a dirty look when he bumped into her. “Watch it.” He muttered, before continuing on. Aphmau huffed, returning the dirty look in full force as she watched his retreating back. Some people!
Things began to wear on Aphmau as she continued to wander aimlessly, desperately trying to ignore that she was horribly, horribly lost. To someone used to the high halls and extensively decorated corridors of the castle, all the dusty streets and narrow alleyways looked the same to Aphmau.
Stumbling into an alcove, Aphmau pulled her hood up as she struggled to hold back her tears. She was lost, and nobody would notice she was missing for hours…
A bell rang out, and suddenly the street beyond the little alley was full of people jostling to get to the square. Aphmau, startled by the crowd, hunched her shoulders and curled up further. She just wanted to go home.
“Hey, are you okay?”

This was going to be longer, but I had hit the perfect spot to cut the chapter in half, so I did. I tried something new with the dialogue in Aphmau and Sylvana's argument, but I'm not sure if it worked as well as I'd hoped.
I was planning to do an illustration or two, but finals came up and all of the scenes I wanted to illustrate are in the next half, which is actually still unfinished. I did say progress would be slow, so at least I'm not setting everyone up with false expectations!
Next time: A griffon, three irresponsible teenagers, and a flight around the kingdom that ends poorly (also Sylvana rides a pegasus)
