This post is a desperate attempt of keeping this account alive, I'm rating ships cause I'm bored.
Derek/Rachel. 8/10. They're definitely a power couple and all but Derek's an asshole to her so she kinda deserves better.
Derek/Aphmau. 6/10 because it could work. Maybe. As they are both fucking dumb.
Derek/Zianna. 3/10 could never work cause Derek is too much of a.. idk Garte simp to have an affair with his wife? Maybe in an au though.
Derek/Garte. 9/10 would be there if there was more chemistry, but there is only weird puppy love.
Derek/Rowan. 1/10. I guess Rowan's not his real father but I doubt that Derek would wanna be with the same exact person who raised him? I don't know Derek's weird so maybe there's a small chance? The one is only there for the chance.
Derek/Michael. 0/10. Would only ship for the angst and problems of it. Derek is an asshole and all but Michael is way worse to him so I don't think they should actually be together in a romance[the genre].
Derek/Zack. 10/10. It's a lot of angst and stuff but also it could genuinely work out without being abusive. They both seem to know how to push each other's buttons but also calm each other down, the ship is basically top tier.
Derek/Terry. 7/10. A little bit boring but I guess it could work?
Derek/Elizabeth. 4/10. I'm confused on what to do with this ship.
Derek/Eric. 6/10. Yes.
Derek/Sylvana. 2/10. Absolutely not. I love Sylvana and all but she's.. weird like her daughter[You know.. the werewolf thing?]
All of these were Derek ships for a reason, and that's because he has small amount of ships. Which makes him perfect so I don't have to spend days on this post.

Bro you absolutely cooked in the tags. Werewolves are a horror concept and they’re creatures where they lose their humanity and are an active threat against society as a whole, especially with how the previous anon mentioned werewolves mirroring the civil rights movement (with the wolves being rejected from a restaurant) BUT they’re an active threat and the werewolves incredibly dangerous (the wolves being banned because they were too violent and were threatening customer safety)
Racism doesn’t make sense, it’s nonsensical. No human is objectively superior than one another due to our racial background, nobody has some special traits that makes them the supreme race. To make werewolves inherently dangerous and superior is justifying the racism and the prejudice.
And last anon, genuinely no disrespect but Mei’fwa are 100% discriminated against. Being fetishized for your race (Aphmau asking Kai to go nya), being called ‘easy going’ cus of your race, that’s all still micro aggressions. Racism doesn’t have to be violent or “derogatory” (aka people calling you slurs), stuff like the model minority myth exists and “positive” stereotypes.
My biggest issue is Jesson is trying to have their cake and eat it too. Jessica wants her hot husband self insert to be a sexy werewolf, she wants the story to oogle at the hot sexy misunderstood werewolf boys cus werewolves are her fetish (<— no shade to that, more power to you), she wants to make silly cutesy dog puns with Yip cus heehee puppy
… BUT she also decided to make them a discriminated minority within MCD and Mystreet who are treated poorly by the humans. Thats why we have shit such as Sylvana having a race fetish (my soul fucking died typing that, I want to return to the world where I didn’t knew that), that’s why we have Aphmau being racist to Kai, that’s why we have so many micro aggressions casually written into the story towards werewolves and mei’fwa
Also… Werewolves supremacists… oh my fucking god why would you do this if they’re supposed to be an oppressed minority who are supposed to be unfairly treated against. This shit is a right wing talking point on how ‘tHe cOLoUrEd pEoPLe wAnT tO bEcOMe tHe MajOrItY!!!’. It’s one of the many pitfalls people fall into when they’re tackling racism in their stories when they don’t really understand the nuances of it nor do they understand the biases they have.
I’m glad my OG ask is opening up a discussion about the series handling of racism and how it bleeds into the treatment of the cast, lord knows you needed the break from the Aarmau/Aaron asks LMFAO

My many opinions on Aphmau roleplay. From a person who's only watched mystreet and my inner demons. And some other stray videos here and there. These are all mys hcs.
1. Numero uno first and foremost Aphmau and Aaron are Not dating. They are besties instead. Aphmau is aromantic. Aaron is much too repressed.
2. Zana for the win ‼️ Forever and always. The one and only t4t couple. They're both cringe losers together. Nana poisons people for fun and Zane supports her fully.
3. Zianna and Sylvana hooked up when they were younger. There's still some tension but over they're just friends nowadays. Old woman yaoi ftw
4. Ein's still a freak but I envision him a freak/pos. He is wildly unethical and he is my chewtoy. Has a weird thing going on with Aaron.
5. Lucinda sometimes helps Nana out with her caffee. They have special bewitched cupcake promotions.
6. Speaking of Lucinda, she's down bad for Melissa.
7. Werewolf gang manages to find Aaron after college again and they move a couple houses down in the neighborhood. They are all roommates and they couldn't be happier. Juniper is also there.
8. Teony and Ivy had a toxic yuri situation back in the day.
9. Garroth is smarter than he lets on.
10. Travis I love you. That's the whole head canon.
11. Laurance and Lucinda fucked one time but they're like. Chill about it.
12. Katelyn is butch. There is no other way for her to exist.

I’m having so many thoughts about MyStreet rewrite. like, before Derek thought Aaron could handle regular school, he got Aaron a tutor who did not go easy on him. Because of this when Aaron did finally start public school, he skipped a grade. some people at the school advised against skipping a grade since that’d just make it harder for Aaron to socialize, which is what Aaron struggled the most at, but Derek being Derek saw no downside in that. Also Aphmau was a Sophomore when she started at PDH, she tried home school high school for a year but it didn’t work out like middle school did (which if i did my math right would make them 15-16 and 16-17)
Or how Sylvana and Zach broke up because he tried to use forever potions on Aphmau, and because he cheated on Sylvana, which resulted in Ein. I’m not having the weird crush stuff between Ein and Aphmau, and I’m thinking I might shift Ein’s obsession over to Aaron more? Ein wanted to get close to Aphmau and all that as a way to get Aaron pissed off. Also Zack absolutely used forever potions on Ein when Ein didn’t do what Zack wanted. I’m considering maybe if Ein does live, them figuring out a way to undo forever potions and using it on him?

A Perfect Day - Mystreetia Part 1 Chapter 1

It was a perfect day for a walk.
The sun was shining, not a cloud in sight, and a refreshing breeze wove its way through the alleyways and roads of Solaria, just enough to cool the bustling plaza without scattering merchants’ wares to the wind. Like a brilliant shining jewel atop a dragon’s hoard, the royal castle of Phoenix Drop shimmered in the light cast upon it as it towered over the horizon. Walls and towers of gleaming amethyst and quartz stood watch over the bustling city below, their majesty and grandeur reminding the citizens of the glory of the kingdom of Phoenix Drop, small as it was.
However, while its outside appearance spoke of riches and beauty, the goings on inside crafted a different story. For within one of these ivory towers, the queen and her daughter were causing quite the ruckus, while the Court Alchemist and Head Scribe watched on, unfazed. Normally, the Scribe would be recording the interactions of the royal family for future generations, but it was determined that this argument—which was quickly becoming all-too common of an occurrence—was not exceptionally noteworthy.
“Young Lady, if I catch you attempting to sneak out again this kingdom will need a new heir!” The Alchemist nonchalantly dodged the chair that was thrown, while the small group of servants present in the room scrambled to catch the high-speed furniture before it could shatter against the walls.
“Well maybe if you weren’t so overbearing I wouldn’t feel the need to leave every now and again! It’s always so boring here!” The Princess stamped her foot indignantly, her tiara lying discarded on the floor where she had tossed it. She was still so much like a child, her face contorted into a pout as she ranted and raved about how suffocating her life was, occasionally tossing some trinket or another from her nightstand at her mother, who replied in turn while lecturing her daughter about the responsibility of a royal heir. The room was beginning to look like a warzone, and it was all the servants could do to keep things in one piece while their superiors raged.
“I mean, I can’t even trust you to go out on your own—you couldn’t even remember your way to the banquet hall yesterday!”
“We never use the banquet hall! Of course I couldn’t find it!”
“You get lost going down a one-way street! You’re not capable—”
“Because you never let me try—”
“And if I can’t trust you not to get in trouble within your own home, how can I know you’d be safe going out?”
“YOU NEVER LET ME DO ANYTHING!”
“BECAUSE YOU NEVER WANT TO DO WHAT YOU’RE SUPPOSED TO! You don’t pay attention to your lessons, you run off at a moment’s notice, you’ve chased off more than half of your tutors, and if any of the staff take their eyes off of you for even a moment, you’re trying to sneak outside the walls!” The Queen punctuated her argument by straightening her crown and fixing her hair, before she continued. “Aphmau, sweetie, you need to understand. You are the only heir this tiny kingdom has, and—”
“The only heir this kingdom will ever have, because Dad isn’t around anymore.” Aphmau joined in, having heard the speech before. “I know that. But it gets so stifling here sometimes. I’ve never even—”
“Been outside the castle walls. I know.” Sylvanna’s expression softened, and she pursed her lips before continuing. “But you’re still so young, and if anything were to happen to you…” Sighing, Sylvanna schooled her expression. “You are to return to your studies until further notice. We can go on a walk later.” And with that, she left the room, the servants hurrying after her.
The Alchemist turned to glance at the sulking princess one last time, before turning to follow the Queen. With any luck, the princess would return to her studies after sulking for a few hours, and things would once again return to the usual quiet.
Aphmau watched as her mother left, trying not to cry. Wiping away her tears, she reached down and grabbed her tiara; she moved to place it in its usual perch, but thought better of it.
With a sinister grin, Aphmau moved to grab her traveling cloak from the closet, as well as some of her less extravagant clothes. If she waited for her mother to finish holding court, then it’d be dark by the time they were ready for a walk. Which meant one thing.
Aphmau would have to take matters into her own hands.

“Your Majesty, if I may?” The Alchemist entered the room slowly, respectfully. Sylvanna looked up from her paperwork as one of her closest friends and advisor stepped in the room.
“You needn’t be so formal with me, Terry. We’re friends.” Terrance raised an eyebrow at the remark, and Sylvanna countered his expression with one of her own.
“Of course. Well, you see, I came to tell you that perhaps you need to loosen the boundaries you have set on your daughter.”
“Oh?” The Queen asked, in a tone that implied she would not like to be having this conversation. But Terrance pushed on.
“Now, I understand why you’d have trouble letting go. Believe me, I feel the same about my son. But you have to realize that Aphmau’s not a little girl anymore, and that at this age it’s only natural for her to be curious about her kingdom.”
“It’s not just that.” Sylvanna interjected. “She gets in so much trouble, and she never knows how to handle herself.”
“Yes, because she’s never gotten the chance to even try. You have to let her grow on her own, Sylvanna. At least let her meet other children. She’s going to go crazy if she stays locked up in this castle. Travis and Lucinda are much the same way. All children are.”
“I… I suppose I have been a little overbearing. I… yes. I will organize a meeting between Aphmau and your son. Tomorrow. Your son does have free time tomorrow, right? Hyria won’t be keeping him long?”
Terrance nodded, answering her query. “Yes, I believe Travis will be free tomorrow. But even if he wasn’t, you still have the final say.”
Sylvanna nodded, suddenly looking as old as she was. “Yes, that’s… that’s good. I’ll send one of the staff to let Hyria know. You can go on your way now, Terry.” She waved her hand, looking back down at the documents she had been reading as Terrance left, a soft smile on his face.

Okay, so maybe leaving the castle to explore the town unsupervised was a mistake.
Aphmau was beginning to regret her split-second decision after being pushed aside by some rushing passerby for the fifth time; this one was a dark-haired boy who gave her a dirty look when he bumped into her. “Watch it.” He muttered, before continuing on. Aphmau huffed, returning the dirty look in full force as she watched his retreating back. Some people!
Things began to wear on Aphmau as she continued to wander aimlessly, desperately trying to ignore that she was horribly, horribly lost. To someone used to the high halls and extensively decorated corridors of the castle, all the dusty streets and narrow alleyways looked the same to Aphmau.
Stumbling into an alcove, Aphmau pulled her hood up as she struggled to hold back her tears. She was lost, and nobody would notice she was missing for hours…
A bell rang out, and suddenly the street beyond the little alley was full of people jostling to get to the square. Aphmau, startled by the crowd, hunched her shoulders and curled up further. She just wanted to go home.
“Hey, are you okay?”

This was going to be longer, but I had hit the perfect spot to cut the chapter in half, so I did. I tried something new with the dialogue in Aphmau and Sylvana's argument, but I'm not sure if it worked as well as I'd hoped.
I was planning to do an illustration or two, but finals came up and all of the scenes I wanted to illustrate are in the next half, which is actually still unfinished. I did say progress would be slow, so at least I'm not setting everyone up with false expectations!
Next time: A griffon, three irresponsible teenagers, and a flight around the kingdom that ends poorly (also Sylvana rides a pegasus)

Hey, how's it going? Yeah? Nice to know...anyways...*transes your mystreet characters and runs off*
Terrible bit aside here's a list of MYS characters who i think are trans in some way;
KC- I don't think I have to explain it because it's extremly popular among a lot of people, but KC definitely a hyper-fem trans woman trying to relive her childhood she never got as a young girl.
Laurence- trans man, no one dyes and cuts their hair like that and isn't trans, you can't convince me otherwise.
Emmalyn- trans woman, soft core lady, library ass aesthetic and she rocks the fuck out of it.
Kenmur- trans man, I've said it before, I'll say it again; dude has so much T-Boy swag it's unbearable. It's why they could only have him in one episode, it was too much swag.
Katelyn- demiflux, goes by he/she/they and loves masculine terms, but also uses femanine terms still and likes both, dresses more femanine but physically appears more masculine.
Travis- this is a neopronouns user (/pos). Don't ask what his gender is, even he doesn't know.
Zane- nonbinary he/they, very much a "i don't owe you andrgeny" person when someone tells them they look to masculine to be nonbinary.
Vylad- trans man, definitely had one of those "uwu soft, space trans boy" phases in middle school
Daniel- trans man, I have no reasoning, he just is, because I say so.
Kim- trans girl, definitely one who never corrected people when they misgendered her when she was younger because of her anxiety, but she does now.
Ein- trans man. I can't explain it, he just is (IN MY REWRITE PERCEPTION OF HIM, FUCK CANON EIN HE SUCKS)
Sylvana- nonbinary, didn't really know what it was until Aphmau told her about it and then had a "oh..I..kinda feel like that?" moment. Still uses femanine terms most times (ie. Lady, Ma'am, mother, ect.)
Eric- trans man, he just has t-man energy.
Garte- transman, another one I have no explination for, just hear me out-
Ziana- trans woman, was part of an all trans girls idol group back in highschool.
Derek- trans man, again, I can't explain it, he just is.

Things I Loved About MyStreet: Starlight.
Melissa being a kinda sister towards Aphmau.
A plushie insulting Aphmau.
Derek being dumb.
Rachel acting more loveable and motherly.
Sylvana and Rachel’s rivalry.
Character development for Aphmau. Finally!
SYLVANA’S character development. Which was killed off in When Angels Fall, but we can enjoy it while it lasts.
Kawaii~Chan finally getting a backstory.
Derek getting more backstory too. Except we never get more after When Angels Fall... we are left with the 30% we are given. For now.
Garte FINALLY just being Garte. He has been a big comic relief forever and now he can finally show that.
Zack’s laugh.
Zack literally just snuck up on Derek just to scare him by speaking. I find that funny.
Zack just says really weird things by accident. That’s why I love him.
Derek.
Rachel loves Sylvana’s cooking more than her own.
Eric being a normal overprotective father.
Elizabeth talking. That’s all.

Headcanon: Aphmau looks more like Zack then Sylvana and Travis looks nearly exactly like his mother(pretty sure the second one is canon in mcd)
And I say the first one because in my headcanon the descendant of Irene is Zack, not Sylvana, and since Aphmau is the reincarnation of Irene, She would look more like Zack.
