One way they could do Sonic 3 and make Doctor Robotnik's likely absence make sense is if they establish that he and Agent Stone are in retirement together somewhere (the retirement is gay) but the doctor sends Agent Stone to go and fight the government/project shadow (because of Robotnik is dead then Agent Stone is gonna just be a stone-cold (haha stone cold) villain just a mess just a disaster and that's more sad than narratively satisfying (because I said so)) and also maybe there is a camera shot of Stone doing latte art again of him and Robotnik and they're posed together and then the latte is moved to reveal a reference photo that's them posing but wearing horrible vacation outfits and then Stone ends up having to work with the Sonic team to stop the government from like making a space war and at the end of the movie that old guy who liked olive garden shows up and says "where's former Agent Stone? I'd like to have a chat with him" and then the Wachowskis turn around because Stone was JUST right behind them but he's GONE and then Sonic says "who? No such person exists or has ever existed" and they just gaslight olive garden guy and then in the post credits scene we see a letter in a blank envelope arive at the Wachowskis and inside it's a postcard that says "wish you were here!" But underneath that is "SIKE. NOBODY CARES." Written in red marker and then they turn over the envelope and put falls a business card with a logo of a moustache and goggles and it says "Shell Industries" on it and there's a phone number printed and a blue pen has written "call in case of emergencies" and the same red marker from before has crossed out emergencies and written "NEVER EVER EVER" and Sonic goes "shell industries! Haha, smell ya later eggman" and goes outside to eat ice cream with the boys or some shit and throws the business card over his shoulder and it falls and slides under the fridge and the camera lingers ominously and a delayed glowing message appears on the card

And then credits roll some more before we get to the SECOND post-credit scene--

I'm only on episode 2 and I'm loving this show already. This is so adorable yet so serious. I really do love how Shadow was hit by a wave and immediately went it was Sonic wasn't it and started throwing hands.

I like SA1 more than SA2. I prefer variations on the Sonic playstyle but I can see merits in the expanded gunner and treasure hunting styles.

Lacrosse Demon: Hoid’s fixing of Charlie’s cryptic event, “curse” to “versed,” makes Aons seem more syllabic rather than logographic. Is that just a casualty of Hoid’s fairytale narrative? Will we see a more in-depth look at the concept of Aonic curses and curse-breaking?

Brandon Sanderson: Good question. It is really hard, number one, to convey that in the original text, that pun would have been a different pun. It would have worked differently. And, in fact, you can have a logographic pun. And I imagine that it probably was. I imagine that what’s going on with Wit is, like, adding a stroke, which then changes the entire meaning of what’s going on.

Though, do remember that the way Aons work, they kind of work like a programming language, so you could kind of add in actual, like, “this next text is a verse.” Imagine putting it in quotation marks, and things like that. We are extrapolating on that with meaning, rather than sounds. I think it works, but probably different than the actual text of Tress manifest to us, but that’s the best way the translator (myself being the person that translated it into English) was able to indicate it.

For those who don’t know, I use Tolkien’s explanation for all of these things. I think it was brilliant. He said, “All the texts were written in a foreign language that you couldn’t read. And they have been translated into English, and some accommodations have been made in order to make things like puns still puns, even though they wouldn’t have rhymed in the original.

Ok so I need to know the difference between the Aonic that Sarene was speaking and the actual Aons. Because you can only hear "Lord Rao" so many times before you put together that "Rao" might mean "Raoden".

Either the Aonic she speaks is significantly different than the aons or Brandon seriously underestimated my faith in Sarene's intellect.

Or is it like "John", like there are so many of them that the name gets hidden in its ubiquity?
