it's AOC's birthday.
amidst the horrors in Gaza, let's take a moment to give virtual cheers for a tireless, courageous, witty and badass congresswoman. her impact on congress and the body politic amongst so many around the world can't be understated. she inspires people in their 80s and pre-teens - trust me, i read the comments. she's brave, kind, and relentless in her desire to do good in the world. she's succeeding and so beloved.

Another Linktober entry inspired by Gorillaz music video. Woo-hoo!
Let me explain: when I once watched a Clint Eastwood music video, I had a very strange analogy with the technique that Impa uses in Age of Calamity. Her clones are a bit like the hologram of Del, and they copy the movements of the original as the gorilla squad did in the video. This led me to come up with another idea, which I decided to postpone to Linktober. And lo and behold, what a coincidence! Impa is one of my favorite characters!

Chapter Four of brave solider boy (comes marching home)
Wild was ready to collapse on the spot, but they figured the Hyrulean armies couldn’t afford another blonde-haired, blue-tunic-wearing fighter to go down, so they just kept fighting, even if they were about ready to pass out. They’d fought in sieges before (not that they remembered), and who cared about past performance versus future results? That was for Flora to research and Wild to remember during their regular bouts of insomnia.
Or in the middle of a battlefield, they supposed, considering their current situation. Link, their alternate self, had toppled down after absolutely decimating a horde of lizalfos that had taken to tormenting him with taunting flicks of their tongues and slashes of their boomerangs, even as Wild could tell he was lost in his own head as they often were. At least that was one thing they still had in common with Not-Them, a habit they’d never rid themself of.

A Nov. 17 Facebook post (direct link, archive link) shows a video of Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez talking about the concept of a cease-fire.
“Cease-fire means that somebody sees a fire,” Ocasio-Cortez appears to say in the video. “It could be any kind of fire. It could be a big fire or a small fire, a bonfire or even a candle flame. It just matters that somebody sees a fire – that’s why we call it a cease-fire.”
The post was shared more than 3,000 times in 10 days. The same video was also shared on Instagram.

The video is altered. It was created with AI, mixing fabricated audio with authentic video. The creator of the altered video labeled it as a deepfake, but others have shared it without the disclaimer.
Video uses AI-generated audio
The video appears to be a deepfake, according to Hany Farid, a professor at the University of California who specializes in digital forensics. It alters an Oct. 23 Instagram Live video by Ocasio-Cortez, a New York Democrat, adding cloned audio and using CGI to cover her mouth in an apparent attempt to synchronize its movements with the new audio, he said.
Farid said in an email there are “some tell-tale signs that this is a deepfake.” One example is when Ocasio-Cortez says the “b” in the word bonfire. Farid noted that her mouth is open but “the sound requires the lips to be pursed while making it.
“This type of phoneme/mouth mismatch is typical in lip-sync deep fakes,” Farid said.

The video carries a watermark reading “C3PMeme.” The altered video was also shared by an Instagram account with that handle, using a hashtag that labeled it a deepfake in a Nov. 17 post. The C3PMeme Instagram account's bio reads, "Meme Making Droid and Digital Mischief Maker."
The Facebook user who shared the claim said he shared it as satire, but the post lacks anything labeling it as such.
USA TODAY also reached out to the originator of the video for comment but did not immediately receive a response.
Reuters also debunked the claim.

With the kingdom freed from Ganon's hatred things have begun to return to peaceful normalcy. With this newfound normal, however, Zelda finds herself confronted with an entirely new battle awaiting her in the not-so-distant future.
Unsure of who she truly is anymore, Zelda reaches out for the aid of Spirit and Ghost, the Princess and Hero from the future that never would be who are trapped in the past after the destruction of Terrako. Together, alongside her own Hero, Zelda sets out for the far corners of Hyrule to find the pieces to repair the time traveling guardian–and herself along the way.

“A Means to an End” a BotW/Totk/AoC Legend of Zelda Fic
Things go differently and Ganondorf has finally figured out a way to end the endless cycle his soul has endured. A way to stop the Goddess who enslaves Hyrule and retains her power.
And all it takes is removing a certain knight from the picture.
OR where Ganondorf is completely and utterly aware of the various timelines and decides the BotW/TotK timeline will be the end of this endless cycle and things will be different this time around.
