So its basically from a deity grian crossover with empires (i made this before he canonically visited the server LOL) coupled with the imo absolutely hysterical concept of Joel just refusing to believe in deities and demons and the like. I mean when Xornoth showed up, mans deadass went ''i do not see. i am looking away. Xornoth? never heard of them.'', so its probably the same with gods.

Anyway so deity!grian shows up on the server and bumps into joel and makes him his 'listener' (which does NOT mean the same thing as it does in canon watcher lore in the absolute slightest. listeners in my lore are basically followers of the watchers, and as far as i know canon listeners are against the watchers so kgkfhghg v different) but joel the small king refuses to believe (or at least admit to believe) that grian is a god so he acts like they're just ''allies''. nevermind the dread of feeling the very gaze of the universe itself befalling Joel whenever he does something Grian dislikes, no supernatural powers to be seen here, no gods in this town,,,

Hello!! I’m alive and well.

I haven’t had much to post as most of my art has been unfinished and/or private worldbuilding stuff or figuring out people’s designs. However I have fallen into a deep critical role hyperfixation on campaign 3, Ashton’s design and Campaign 1 Percival (etc etc) de Rolo and his whitestone arc, so I’ve been doing a few doodles of some designs here and there - specifically for c3 since I’m still new to c1. This is the first proper colored one however, so yay! It’s Ashton in pretty much the same outfit Taliesin wore during Ashton’s introduction bc I haven’t been able to get that visual out of my head :] I love their laugh, whenever I hear it is when I can best visualize them in my head, it’s so distinctly their sound. Might be my now pfp, maybe! love them a lot. Also hi critters! I’m new in this corner of the internet! any fellow newbies out there? :>

soooo a lil update on my life so far because i’ve been mia for a hot minute…

im in the middle of looking for a new job which is stressful af but i’m very hopeful with the places i’ve applied to so far. i’ve received two calls for an interview so that’s the only thing i’m really nervous about.

the puppies that my dog had are now 6 months old and the one i kept is proving to be exactly like her momma which makes raising her equal parts easy and difficult because they both have wild personalities.

im in a relationship now… it’s very weird and new to me considering the circumstances but my family loves him and so does my dog so that’s huge to me, he’s sweet and kind and makes me wheeze with laughter which is awesome. he’s just the best. he’s my guy.

with that being said, i’m not entirely sure how much i will be writing (since i haven’t been doing much of that anyway) but i love this blog and the little community i’ve built so i will try to post little things here and there to keep y’all fed. i know i need it, but my brain hasn’t been filled with thoughts the way it used to. i think i will mainly keep this up for reblogging art and other fics to support the community as best i can. i miss being on this app honestly, it’s such a safe space for me and so many others.

So I’ve had a couple of asks (which is very kind tbh I dont have a lot of followers and I appreciate that some of you have felt the need to reach out) wondering why I’m not posting so much here or on my art blog anymore. The simple truth is Im fighting a very heavy case of burnout right now. I know I know “we’re all burnt out.” I don’t really owe an explination but I do want to share anyway since apparently a couple of people are concerned. I haven’t had a proper break in about 6 years. The way my university has worked for the last 3, I start in august/september, get 1 week at xmas and then dont stop until april - no reading week, no easter holiday. Theoretically I have summer but until this year my fiance and I were on benefits and summer was spent frantically trying to make ends meet. This year I’ve had to do 4 shows, write my dissertation and do a PhD proposal. I’m applying for a bursary that would waive tuition fees and pay me £15,000 a year to do my PhD which tbh we really need because we Just make money work atm. Despite being declared unfit to work by the benefits office I was declined PIP - wont go into the specifics of my day to day life but I’m eagerly waiting the new scottish system to come in to apply again. Currently my normal day to day is demoralising and frankly a little humiliating. I’m managing but a bit of financial support to start making accomodations for myself would go a long way. So yeah basically thats it. I’m a bit too busy keeping my own mental health afloat (and I am keeping my mental health afloat surprisingly) and producing for shows to do much internet posting. I love my subject, I’m excited to undertake PhD if all goes to plan, but honestly Im more looking forward to a long overdue 5 month holiday to get my head back on straight. Thanks for the concerned messages, I super appreciate them - but dont worry about me. Before I’ve made posts advising logging off if the internet gets too much and thats all I’ve been doing - following my own advice.

QUESTION: how did you get into reading?

So, when I was in middle school (many moons ago) we had this thing called AR Testing. Basically, you read a book and take a test on it—the questions were things that happened in the book, it was really simple. If you got a good grade, you got points. The more points you earned, the more eligible you were for the reading party at the end of each semester. Me, being the nerd I am, got top of my class because I went through 8th grade level books like it was nothing. The librarian at my school brought me books from the high school to read since everything was easy for me, and alas, my addiction began. And now that I have adult money, it’s a true addiction. Also, telling my father “I’m bored” and his response being, “go read a book or something” so thanks dad.

QUESTION: what’s one book you ALWAYS recommend to people?

This one is tough because I’ve read THOUSANDS of books, but if I had to choose one, it would probably be Confess by Colleen Hoover. I fell in love with her work in high school when I first read Ugly Love, but Confess is the type of book that pulls at your heart strings, y’all. It has everything people love: humor, sexual tension, drama, love. GO BUY THE DAMN BOOK. Or honestly any book by Colleen Hoover—she’s a fucking amazing author.

QUESTION: outside of making TikToks, what do you do for a living?

I currently work at a restaurant and hate every second of it. If anyone tells you to become a server, DONT. It’s not worth the hassle, I promise you. Sure, you can make decent money but the amount of rude customers and shitty tips you receive each shift is very disheartening. If you really need a job, do anything BUT work in the food industry.

QUESTION: what’s your wattpad story about?

First question: which one? I have about 30 drafts sitting there waiting to be posted. But, I’m going to assume you’re talking about the Harry Styles fan fiction I’ve been working on for the past 4 years and haven’t had the courage to post. I’ll tell you a little about it: Elaine Aldridge is forced into a betrothal to a man she’s never met & loathes. She goes to his court and realizes things aren’t what they truly seem. And the guard her future husband sticks on her??? None other than Mr. Harry Styles. Add in some magic & deaths and you’ve got my story— The First Prince. (Honestly, that’s an extremely shitty description so if you wanna check it out go to my wattpad account)

QUESTION: current favorite author?

Sarah. J. Maas. I don’t know what it is about her writing style, but it’s addicting. Throne of Glass is hands down the best series I’ve ever read. A Court of Thorns and Roses is the first book I’ve EVER reread. Her stories truly suck you in and hold onto you—you get lost so easily in her writing and it’s like once you’re done with a series, nothing will compare. Or, at least that’s how I felt after finishing Kingdom of Ash. Honorable mentions: Jennifer L. Armentrout, Penelope Douglas, L.J Shen, Elle Kennedy and Kennedy Fox.

QUESTION: any recommendations/tips to give to a new reader?

I’ve always given this advice to people who want to get into reading: find what you like and start with that. If you like romance, I’ve got a list for you to choose from. Mystery? Another list. Sci-fi? I GOT YOU. Fantasy? Yes! Sports fiction? It might take me a second but I’ll find you a book. Nonfiction? I’m zero help in that category, honestly. The point of the matter is that you’re never going to enjoy a book if you aren’t interested in the underlying topics.

QUESTION: do you ever find yourself comparing your life to fictional life?

Yes. All the time. I daydream about being apart of the Inner Circle and living in Terrasen with Aelin and Rowan. I think about what it would be like to have real powers and a mate. It drives my boyfriend crazy—but he loves me anyway.

I went to multiple BLM protests and donated a lot of funds to BLM & other organizations. It’s 2021, people... stop being fucking RACIST. And don’t be afraid to call racist people out! Black Lives Matter, even if no one is posting about it anymore.

I made a video when I first started my account on TikTok about reading in public and feeling “turned on” by it. Go watch it if you don’t know what I’m talking about. BUT, some ignorant male decided to comment and say “this is how girls get r*ped”. Whew. So. I deleted the comment because ....

I am a victim of sexual assault. Along with a lot of other women. 1 in 5 women have been victims of sexual assault. Talking about being r*ped isn’t funny.

No one else needed to see his comment. I reported it immediately and his account was shut down.

I never got justice for what happened to me, and the fact that some random male—who had never even met me or seen me before my video showed up on his FYP—had the nerve to comment that? Unacceptable.

okay, let me just start off by saying that the people around you who love and support you are going to be your backbone. Leaving a toxic situation is hard, and every situation is different, but my best piece of advice to offer you is don’t be afraid to ask for help. Your loved ones are going to be there for you when you need them, even if you don’t believe they will. If you explain what’s happening, someone you know and love will drop whatever it is their doing to make sure you get out safely. good luck my babes.

I thought I was pretty straightforward but I’ll say it again: she is always the “good” one and it’s too suspicious. SJM has already given one Archeron sister a happy ending, Nesta’s is obviously inevitable, but Elain? She has too many options for a happy ending. Lucien, who is her “mate”. Azriel, who is intrigued by her slightly. Her human guy—I don’t remember his name—who is disgusted that she’s not human anymore. Or, alone, planting flowers all day. BUT! My point is that she’s not truly happy. She was forced into the Cauldron just like Nesta. She was ripped away from the life she loved so dearly and didn’t want to give up. The man she was going to marry now hates her guts because she’s a High Fae. She has the perfect set up for a villain plot line and I’m all here for it.

It helps me figure out how I can integrate my muse into the situation but also determine if your muse is fit to roleplay with mine. As some things can clash too much. In a bio, I am not picky about what is in it as long as it has their personality and their backstory in detail.

I don’t have any triggers and there may be triggering things on my blog. I will do my best to tag them or put it under a ‘read more’ if I feel it could be badly triggering. If I forget to add a trigger in a tag, please let me know! This is so I would know not to repeat the mistake again since I want this to be fun for everyone.

Welcome bitches

My blog is back!!! No wait - my REAL blog is back. It's been so long. How i've missed blogging like the good old days. The time before PICTURES & captions took over. I still love pictures, but pictures can be faked. Blogs...well blogs can be faked too but it takes a lot more work to be fake. In this blog, it's gonna be so real, your mama sakit mata baca.

I know I already have a blog (www.miriamomar.com) but that blog is only to talk about work and life related stuff that's super serious and super boring. LETS BE REAL. I ain't gonna be swearing and dissing life crap in between posts about serious work stuff. ONE MUST SEPARATE THE TWO! My blogs are truly a reflection of my psyche. And these 2 blogs will show you two very different sides of me that I have (finally) come to terms with.

On one side, I have this ~high achieving, give talks at conference, scholarship, academic, lecturer, WHAT IS THE MEANING OF LIFE, do the right thing goody two shoes~ side of myself. I call it my "Hermione" side. Which is really a big part of who I am. I can be extremely serious, philosophical and analytical "pseudo intellectual" bla bla bla. Basically, I have this complex about needing to KNOW EVERYTHING or else I would feel insecure and "unsafe". I also have an insatiable curiosity to understand the workings of the world and the true essence of being. Not many can follow my type of conversations. I know this because people start to yawn. My main hobby is to devour books and go around annoying people about what I read and telling them what to do (its true, i must stop I know im sorry everyone)

HOWEVER - this is not that blog. And this is not that side of myself that I would like to share to the world.. This space is for me to talk about THAT OTHER SIDE OF ME. The side that grew up in the depths of the longkangs in Kajang and Bangi. The side that got suspended in school multiple times because I asik dating dengan my boyfriend (now I realize it's just my "co-dependency" lol) the side that tergolek in front of Zouk every Friday night (trauma symptoms lol) the side that your mama don't like and I have to cover-cover so your mama can still let you be friends with me!!! It's OK, don't worry, I won't be a bad influence this time around if I can help it. LOL

Well now, I have obviously mellowed out a lot. Like a LOT A LOT. I don't do crazy shit anymore. I have come to a place in my life that I have accepted my past and all the stuff I used to do (kak long kawasan etc etc) More on that bit later.

To be EXTREMELY honest, my life is not that interesting anymore. This is my first year of business as a full time artist, running Project MIRRO and part-time lecturing. I've been grinding and making ends meet like a robot. I haven't been out and about having a life since I got back from London in late 2017. I hardly get to see my friends or go out and lepak. I haven't dated at all. In fact, I haven't met a new person of the opposite sex who isn't a business acquaintance or gay since 2017. And it's one more month to 2020. I'm not getting any younger either. Im 31 turning 32. and I totally don't have a life, let alone a LOVE LIFE. Oh My God 2.0. (Its okay I have more to say about this part it's not the end of the world)

Today I am supposed to work on a new collection release for Project MIRRO. I will do it right after I write this blog I PROMISE. It's just that, sometimes I have no more fuel to burn to run my life. Working alone in isolation, it gets to you sometimes. As an introvert, ITS GREAT, but it also has its downfall. MOTIVATION. This shit can't appear out of thin air ok. Bukan boleh beli online add to cart "Motivation" I'm literally that girl that has not seen the world and people in over 2 days. This could go up to 2 weeks. I'm just super comfortable on my own in my own world. I love it, I really do. TAPI, I know it's not good for me. I believe if im out and about, mixing and talking with people, I will probably get more income for my business. I know it. I dont know why I don't do it (malas sebenarnya)

I have to say though, I have a pretty comfy studio..I dont feel the need to go out. I am very much comfortable in this space for me to create and be myself. But I also know that perhaps its not the best time for me to be in isolation at such an early phase of my new "art career" whatever that means. Whatever im going through now reminds me of how I was at my first job back in 2012. I am starting all over again, learning all over again with this new life path. Its hard, uncomfortable, and super consuming. And im doing it, LEGIT, all alone. Mana tak rasa cam kepala nak meletup. Obviously kepala I dah meletup a few times. Then I realized its because I don't have a new outlet to release stress. I used to paint to release stress but now it's my job. I need something ELSE.

I've been playing music again, writing songs again (im NOT gonna show it to anyone I would probably die of embarrassment)So it seems like, sejak dua menjak ni, I feel the need to EXPRESS. To write again. To "communicate" without leaving my nest. This is the next best thing la for me since I am such a pemalas to mandi and pakai baju. I've been in the same kaftan for 2 days. WOOOTT. This is the best thing abt working from home. NOBODY CARES WHAT U WEAR!! But don't worry I totally mandi and gosok gigi for you aunties gasping and gossiping about this anak dara tak senonoh. Ishhhh.

Anyway, whatsup people? How are you guys? How is life?????!! I just realized back then when I wrote in this blog (with the same name), I had READERS. I just never really read the comments or participated in my "community" of readers. I should've. I will try do better this time and get conversations going. Reply and all that. PARTICIPATE.

1. how did you get into graphics / gif making?

i wanted to color my icons for my roleplay blogs (since i was editing usopp’s anyway to change his lips & and darken his skin) and then i just sorta changed the scale i worked on? um i think i wanted to color a promo for myself for it too but i think i ended up just getting distracted / otherwise not finishing it smdgfdsfj and then i kinda figured. wow i wanna work on coloring, but i don’t like my art, so then started coloring stuff. recently i’ve been doing it more often b/c i’ve been inspired by other graphic makers, namely you, @ii-luffy-i, @lesbianjinbe & a couple of people in the bnha fandom (that i’m embarrassed to tag ;;)

edit: here’s an example of the icons that i started with (with luffy & usopp as the characters, respectively): as u can see they were Super small, & thus only took like. 5 minutes each once i got good at them, so transitioning into larger projects was….. hard. also im just rmmring some rly funny threads i had with usopp & kaku (me as usopp, my friend as kaku) mfdlskfjkdkg… aka usopp being worried abt his doppleganger // i had two of urls linked here like 5 min ago but honestly im embarrassed of my writing so im deleting it DSGKJD

4. what do you enjoy about making graphics?

they’re pretty!!!! also, a large part of the fun is finding panels to do specifically, & doing so really makes me appreciate the little details in the backgrounds / how the paneling works / just general visual breakdowns that most likely i otherwise wouldn’t’ve consciously noticed.

5. what do you dislike most about making graphics?

mmm when i spend a lot of time on something (like.. more than an hour) & don’t end up liking it? it just feels disappointing. i post it anyway b/c this blog is mostly for keeping track of my own art progress in a more organized fashion but still,,, also that like a month ago i’d been creating them more for the response (the likes/reblogs) than my own enjoyment, & so when they didn’t get noticed i felt really down & didn’t appreciate the process? so i’m trying to do it more for myself ig… i hope that makes sense ;;

8. what is your go-to adjustment / psd for colouring?

i don’t really have one? i mean i guess ….. a warm overlay but that’s as specific as it gets! b/c it doesn’t matter what i start with, i’ll just try it out, then adjust it from there to what i really want. so i’m never consistent with it jdsfjfd

36. graphic makers, how do you get started on a graphic? (how do you get an idea!)

for my art, i have a list of prompts / ideas that i’ve thought of at some point on the app Trello, that actually i can make public if anyone’s interested, so if i’m bored or inspired i’ll check that out!! but that is a new addition (i.e. this week), so before i just made those posts on my sideblog @rldenki (it’s private tho) & sometimes reblogged things from incorrect-quotes blogs there to draw & link back to later.)

mmm other than that i’ve gone to @rickypozzi (& since yesterday .. or maybe the day before?, @sanjispanels now that i have permission to edit them) or random chapters online to look for panels i might be interested in doing!! i have a folder of to-do’s, on my phone and on my tablet. oh & ofc my prompts tag

as for my ocs, i’ll often just start drawing a face, kinda out of it, & then just see where it takes me! i usually don’t have an idea for the end-product in mind, so when i do it can be kinda scary(?)

anyway those kinda things. i might make another post with some screenshots of my blog / inspo list / folders so y’all can see how it works (it helps a lot!!) but i don’t wanna make this too long gsdjfjdk

i don’t really have wips? usually, anyway. in the sense that either i finish them or i abandon them in the middle, but either way they get posted so there’s not really.. anything to put here? i’ve only gone back to a graphic more than like. an hour later twice, usually because my learning is evolving so quickly (that sounds kinda arrogannt but i mean that i’m constantly learning) that by the time i look back on it either i don’t wanna mess the good parts i did up, or if i changed something i would want to redo the entire thing.

um but i actually do have one as a special case!!! i’m trying to learn the patience to go back to old art/graphics, which is why i haven’t just posted it yet! that & i’m kinda embarrassed of it…..,,, i was trying to do some lighting thing with her helmet off of this tutorial, but ended up hating the product sdkgjkszdgj

It’s actually a rule Bakugou put down for himself for a number of reasons, half related to his own safety and the safety of the person he’s dating, the other half to the fact that Bakugou hates lying, but (again for safety reasons) he can’t just go around telling everyone what he’s doing - he doesn’t want a relationship in which he’d just contantly lie to his partner and ditch them for vigilante work without being able to explain them what’s going on, so he put down the rule as soon as he decided he wanted to do this. Well, he hadn’t been interested in relationships anyway before Kirishima, so it was an easy decision to take at the time - now though...

Ahhhh if only he figured out Kiri and Red are the same person smh that’d make everything so much easier on him

YEH it’s one of the reasons why Bakugou still hasn’t figured out Red is Kiri haha thought if you’re asking for the logistics of that, I can’t say I spent too long thinking about it? We can always call it temporary hair dye spry or something like that, but to be fair it’s not like it matters all that much lmao I just needed Baku to be unable to tell it was him easily haha

Oh that’s an hc I see around a lot! Personally I stil prefer them sorta the same size tho ???? with the only difference being Baku being lithe and Kiri being a tank, I think it has to do with the whole “complementary equals” theme they have going on, I like for it to be visually represented too ??? maybe, I had never really thought about the hows or whys of this preference tbh lmao

Life Update 4/24

I'm absolutely awful at remembering to update this especially because these blog posts are eventually going on a WordPress im planning on starting. Anyway, I have a lot on my mind and a lot of plans but nowhere to talk about them, and I figured here would be the perfect place to put everything (mainly because I'll probably forget and fail to do the things I want to accomplish.)

Life has gotten kinda busy which is weird because I feel like I haven't accomplished anything. For a while now I've had plans to start a legitimate art/personal lifestyle blog but I've let my perfectionism and anxiety become an obstacle. Instead I've put it off entirely while I keep using the same "working things out" excuse. It's been a couple months since my last update and things have gotten exponentially crazier with the birth of my niece, having to pack my things and move houses, and working all the time. I sorta feel like I don't have time for enjoying my hobbies anymore but that's going to change.

First off, I'm using my twitter more often from now on no matter what content I post. I figured I need to be more active on social media if I want literally any attention towards my talents.

Second, I'm going to be posting instagram posts consistently and keeping up with them using a post schedule, which should help me stay active on social media (because i tend to dissapear for a while.) I'll be officially starting this schedule May 1st.

Fourth, I'm gonna utilize this blog more for more than just updates. I haven't used tumblr in a long time but I miss it and the community. Tumblr is what originally got me into coding and how I learned html and maybe I'll get into it again if I use this website more.

Third, I'm trying to save up to pay for online courses that should get me certificates in certain pathways that I can use to up my experience and knowledge. I've decided against going to college entirely so I'm hoping these courses will keep me on my game in terms of motivating myself to produce art and content that I haven't been able to do since highschool. This is a maybe, but if it happens it'll help my goals progress which is my main goal in itself.

And finally, after I'm moved into my new house and settled in, I'm going to be producing way more content. WAY way more. That's my 2nd main goal. And by the end of the summer I hope to have at least 10 successful posts uploaded.

I've been awol for too long, internet. I'm coming for you and stellarnova is gonna be big.

I am Non-Selective and Non-Private and we don’t have to be mutuals to interact.
