there are decades worth of history of bloody wars, genosides, oppressions, assasinations, kidnappings, corruption and so SO much more

because of this there is a long history of hate and longing for justice

also millions of poles have families or relatives from Ukraine

Putin WON'T announce capitulation because he KNOWS that would mean his death at the hands of his own people who would kill him in matter of hours

Poland is NOT going to force neither article 4 or 5

Polish experts say the missiles used were ukrainian not russian and were probably launched to shoot down rockets fired by Russia but missed and hit the polish border

Western propaganda is so confident in its Nazism that they expect me to believe Ukrainians aren't Nazis and/or are the "good guys" while it's them you see dehumanizing the enemy (with the whole orcs thing).

Probably going to get a lot of negative responses for this, but I'll say what I want to.

Months back, I'd made a post commenting that I was disappointed in India's stance on the Russia-Ukraine war. I'd implied that I'd wanted my country to vote against Russia in the UN council.

Well, my views have considerably changed since then.

To be clear, I'm still against invading another country. That's absolutely wrong.

But now that I'm able to look at it in proper context, I've realized that I probably shouldn't be making diplomatic decisions on an international level, at least not anytime soon.

Here are the things I was unaware of at that time:

It's not wise to trust the USA on this matter, as they've got a track-record of being self-serving instead of helping India when it needs assistance.

Ukraine has repeatedly voted against India in the United Nations, imports weapons to Pakistan, and has been pretty much anti-India. Until, of course, it turned out that they needed its help.

It's Russia who's stood by India all these years. It'd be the height of foolishness to cut off such a relationship (affecting almost a billion people) for a country which has been against you in the past.

I understand that Zelensky was busy conducting photo-shoots when he was supposed to be fighting for Ukraine. That's even more of a buzzkill.

I'll admit that my stance back then was based on virtue-signalling and jumping onto the bandwagon, rather than giving it a proper, objective analysis.

So that's that.

Again, I'm still against a country invading another.

But it's sometimes better to take a neutral stance in international politics.

What Zelensky's and his wife's photoshoot for a famous magazine has proved, is what me and a lot of other people have been saying all along: That the media keep on potraying him as a hero, but, at the end of the day, he will be fine. Unlike the people who are actually fighting in this war but you rarely hear about.

every time some western redditor calls wars "stupid" i want to punch them in the face. it seems that on liberal and left-wing circles on the internet, people now treat it like everyone's country is the top 5 largest countries on earth overlords from over the atlantic who decide to involve themselves in war and haven't had territorial disputes since their last fucking annexation, where for some countries our very existence and survival is based on war. our home is a byproduct of people who heroically lost their lives in war and have living relatives today. saying war is stupid is saying the peace i get to enjoy because thousands died for my country to exist is stupid. fuck you.
