My mind went right to that episode of s3 where Barry got amnesia and fell in love with Iris all over again. In a world with Barrisco endgame...he'd be falling for Cisco (all over again, ofc, because he had a crush on Cisco the whole time in this version of events). And since both of them lose their memories, Cisco would be gushing about Barry too.

But of course they'd both try to disguise it as "friendly banter," because neither of them wanna scare off the cute guy who seems to really like them (platonically, they think. Oh, these lovable idiots).

Caitlin and Iris realize that these two will get their memories back by kissing. And both of them know that Barry and Cisco have been crushing on each other for ages, and are still flirting now, but...how to convince them to go for it?

So shenanigans ensue, in which Caitlin and Iris try to set them up, except those plans go a bit awry. But also, in a way, those plans still succeed, because Barrisco fall more in love with each other until one day they go for it and kiss. And all is well!

(Except they "forgot" where the fairy circle was, so the following week, Caitlin and Iris get stuck there 😉)

No! STOP IT! I don’t like Daniel with Terry! He is literally the ONLY of Daniel’s former rivals/enemies, that has ABSOLUTELY ZERO redeeming qualities, or moments, at any point that I’ve seen him.

I love, love, love Mercy, but I absolutely hate Terry. He’s an irredeemable monster, and he does not deserve to have Daniel, body and soul, whatsoever. I mean, god, Daniel can’t even choose what clothes he wants to wear, or how he wants to wear his hair. Everything he does is in deference to Terry because he’s so afraid of him. And who can blame him? Terry hurt him so badly and could have murdered him that night, FUCK HIM. Not to mention Terry keeping him locked away and isolated in a foreign country where Daniel doesn’t even speak the language is so cute incredibly foul. And keeping him away for MONTHS from his own children?? Making him divorce his wife by proxy?? Having people think poorly of him due to TERRY’S actions??? Terry is so evil, and totally undeserving of Daniel in any way, shape, or form. In a Mercy AU, I would want Chozen to save Daniel, and then have them end up together—after all, he’s the only one who can take Terry down, and has truly changed and become a good man. He’s like the anti-Terry. Anyway, love the story and Silverusso, but Terry is too evil for me to want him to end up with Danny. Even though it’s inevitable.

Well, Terry has gotten him some clothes by now - he said he would and Daniel’s hair is just - he hasn’t really asked for it to be cut really.

Although Terry prefers him smooth shaven he only shaves Daniel’s face when he asks. At least I think that’s what I wrote 🤔

As for his marriage - well, Terry had a point - it was easy to disrupt it. He was right there - considering all the problems they were having before Terry even entered the chat.

1. I've already spoken at length about my number one most hated ship, so I'd have to say the runner up is probably Terry/Daniel (though, I might actually hate this one more, now that I think about it). Y'ALL CAN SHIP WHATEVER YOU WANT, but I personally hate dark ships and I just feel icky every time I see it. Needless to say I have blocked the siIverusso tag and do not plan on harassing anyone who ships it so please don't attack me I love you all 🥰🥰🥰

5. I don't know if this necessarily counts, but the closest example of a fandom turning me off from a ship is probably with Hawkmoon. Yes, Hawkmetri is one-million percent my OTP (not even just in the show, I mean of all time), but I thought Hawk and Moon were cute and their relationship & breakup did serve a greater purpose for both of them as characters. I was also definitely very biased because I kin Hawk and I'm literally in love with Moon, so seeing them together was wish fulfilment at its finest.

Anyways, regardless of the fact that I have openly said I think they're definitely better off as friends, I was still harassed for daring to say that I like Moon. I just don't understand why I'm supposed to hate her because she dated Hawk and "stole him from Demetri" like...1) Hawk did that to himself, 2) Moon tried to keep them together, and 3) that shouldn't even matter because it's not her job as a character to cause drama and essentially be a footnote in the Hawkmetri story. She has her own life.

I won't elaborate because I feel like all of my followers know what I'm talking about and right now I'm kind of going off on a bunch of people who aren't the problem (bc if you're following me, our views on this show are probably aligned). So I’ve met some silverusso shippers recently (as recently as after the latest trailer came out) and I learned from a handful of them that they were resisting the ship and ship content (creating or consuming) because they were either worried about being judged/shamed by other fans OR they have received hate for it somewhere. So if that describes you or you can relate to that, I wanted to be the one to tell you that you are not wrong or bad for shipping silverusso and those people who are being shitty about it are most likely just mad that their ships are not as sexy as our ship and well that’s their business. The character I love that everyone else hates: Sam I feel is pretty overhated. And Robby. And Tory? I think that covers all my bases XD very few people in the fandom love all three.

The character I used to love but don’t any longer: None really? I guess Hawk. Loved him as Eli, but as Hawk...he's on a bit of thin ice with me. I don't hate him though, and I do find him compelling, but...some of the fandom LOVES him, and I don't understand why.

The character I would totally smooch: Probably none of them, partly because the characters are either teenagers or twice my age. It would feel weird. So I'm gonna say I'll pass on this one.

A pairing that I despise: Hmm. Honestly, the only one I DESPISE is S*lverusso. Can't stand it. There's a lot of subtext, and I get that, but I personally can't get behind it. To a lesser extent, I dislike S*mrobby and K*enry, but only because I think those ships are better as friendships, not because I think they're toxic or anything.

Edit: I also despise shipping Kyler with literally anyone. Not sure if that’s a thing on Tumblr, but I’ve seen a few fics on AO3. And I just...HOW

Someone posted Silverusso discourse (the usual complaints), people/someone got upset, there was some sort of exchange, then OP deleted the posts. OP also posted a bragging type post that was still anti-silverusso and tagged it with lawrusso, people got upset, and now ALL of it has been deleted.

Full disclosure: I never saw the original posts (they were deleted by then), but I did see the post that was tagged Lawrusso and some other untagged posts about the ordeal.

Short answer: yep! Longer answer: So, personally, I wasn't too aware of it before because tbh I am just not that involved in the wider fandom or other fandom ships. So for the longest I was kinda just in my own lil bubble and didn't see much anti sentiments apart from an occasional post here and there in the ship tag. (And I will never forget a rant I saw on twitter that said the ship shouldn't even have a ship name and fic for the ship should only be to explore trauma and abuse?? 'kay. That's not how shipping works but whatever.) Anyway. I typically ignored those anti posts. It ain't none of my business. (Though there are more of these now that the s4 trailer has dropped and the Terry/Daniel reunion excitement is reaching more parts of the fandom apparently.) BUT. Recently I'm coming across more and more "closeted shippers" who've shared with me the anti-silverusso shipping sentiment they see in their CK fandom/shipping circles (with receipts!), and how it's prevented them from openly shipping it, making content, etc. That's why I've been pushing the discord invite :). The server is a fun, safe and sexy space for silverusso shippers. I definitely can see that there is more and more curiosity and interest in the ship with s4 around the corner, and I think it's unfortunate that anyone should feel like they can't engage/join in the fun because of anti sentiments in their other shipping circles.
