just something that made me bawl my eyes out. I love Hunt and Bryce’s relationship so much. Their relationship is so damn beautiful, I don’t understand anyone who doesn’t ship them.

I need some to explain to me the absolute insanity I had the displeasure of witnessing today (and I’m mad the comments got turned off on the post before I could add my two cents in, damnit! 😆)

Who the hell told these brycriels that Sarah is currently contracted for 1 more ACOTAR book and 1 more CC book after HOFAS?! I wanna know who’s spreading around misinformation. We all know the ACOTAR extension contract was signed and announced July 2016 right? 5 books were announced, 3 full length novels and 2 novellas. And that CC was only contracted for 3 books in May 2018. I mean this is common knowledge right? The 4 new books were announced when Sarah announced the title to HOFAS, this flipping year. This chick actually trying to get people to believe that Sarah’s contracts had been changed to fit her little Az and Bryce narrative, like she had some insider knowledge. 🙄😑 31 days and their little walls are gonna come crashing down. Whoever thought up this ship was bored one day weren’t they? Cause to ignore confirmed information from the author just so you can be right is cra cra.

Bryce & Azriel are not mates. I get that people don’t like the idea that they just ‘decided’ they were mates & if that were the only scene we had of them being mates I would understand it to a certain extent - but every single theory post I’ve seen seems to forget a few very important details. (Contains Crescent City spoilers)

Ruhn & Bryce have a whole conversation that lasts approximately 2 pages where Ruhn comments on the fact that their scents have merged & how Hunt is going ‘ballistic’ in the way the Fae do when they’re true mates in their bodies & souls. And he was suspicious even before this from what I remember, saying how Bryce smelt different.

SJM has to be careful with how much happens in Prythian during the cross over. Why? Because she has two more books in the ACOTAR series (plus at least one novella if not two) that she has already set up the plot for. I know antis don’t like it but Elriel have four books worth of build up & foreshadowing. For something so integral to happen in another book series would be extremely arrogant on Bloomsbury & SJM’s part. Casual readers may not have read Crescent City (I know if I wasn’t on tik tok I would have probably only read TOG) & some people may not have liked Crescent City so they didn’t continue after the series or DNF’d it. Either way, they’d have to assume people had read that series before carrying on with ACOTAR & that just seems like an incredibly poor writing choice to me.

Following on from my last point, whatever does happen in CC3 has to be quickly and easily explained in ACOTAR5 (assuming the plot follows on from those events - which I assume it will to avoid SJM spoiling too much for the upcoming series or writing herself into a corner plot wise) in order to not spend too long on it - because then you get the opposite problem for readers who have read CC3 - it would be annoying to spend more than a page or two on something you’ve already read.

Now, imagine. Let’s say, Bryce & Azriel are mates. Given where ACOSF left off, you’re going to have a bunch of confused readers- who could sense something was building up with Elain for it to have fizzled to nothing or for Azriel to have found his mate in another book? How does that work? We have so many unanswered questions. Why did Azriel & Elain act so mate like to each other, for one? Do they still have feelings for each other & if not, why not? Amongst the so many other unanswered questions we have.

This is an argument that I have with G*ynriels as well, when I say that Elain’s book is next with Azriel as LI - and they say yes but they’ll both move on from each other to G*yn & L*cien in that same book. How do you expect SJM, in one single book, to deal with not one, not two but four love interests in one single book AND fit in a plot somewhere? This is without even mentioning that SJM herself has said each book focus’ on one couple - it will have the same lay out as Nessians book (dual pov + happily ever after for said couple within the same book)

Then we have the CC3 plot just on its own. It’s covering (as far as we know) two worlds. Bryce is currently in a world where she can only communicate with two people. She has to find a way to communicate with Aidas, perhaps travel to Hel, & get help. That’s all incredibly complicated stuff. Ruhn, Hunt & Baxian are in Midgard going through god knows what. Ithan, Declan & Flynn have rescued Ariadne, and Ithan has just freed the unnamed Fendyr heir. Thats without going into whatever is going on with Tharion. Where is SJM supposed to drop the bomb that Bryce & Hunt aren’t mates, she’s actually mates with this random guy that she can’t even talk to from a different planet? We’ve got too much to find out without adding that to the mix.

SJM herself has said, that this trilogy is Bryce & Hunts love story. Adding in a different mate doesn’t really fit with that narrative, particularly when the book doesn’t even support it.

I could go on and on about how this just isn’t going to happen & I love crackships I truly do! But it’s when people try & insist that it’s going to happen, then laugh at me for trying to say that actually I think Elain & Azriel are mates or at the very least endgame.

After HOSAB came out people had a lot of crazy theories. Some were so crazy crazy that you had to be on synth to believe them. I affectionately called these synth theories

One day I was talking about a popular synth theory that Hunt and Bryce aren’t actually mates because Azriel from ACOTAR was her really molecular-level mate with a few friends. I decided to write a parody fic about the most random pairing I could possibly think of as a rebuttal to Brycriel.

Eventually I realized that Elain loves flowers and that 🌸 🌺 🌻 Flynn’s Dad 🌷🌼🌹 canonically has the best gardens in FiRo. You can’t tell me this is a coincidence. Obviously SJM meant for Lord Hawthorne and Elain to be together.

I still don't get why people think Azriel and Bryce would make sense cuz they don't. How would that work?

One of them would have to leave everything behind and I don't think Bryce nor Azriel would leave their homes just to be together. Neither of them would like to change and lern everything about the new world just to be with one person. Honestly, we'd need more books for that storyline.

I don't know Sjm, but this is something Sjm would most likely not do. It would be so weird to imagine Azriel doing tik tok dances and Bryce not being able to use toilet paper 😂😂😂😂

You can plug your ears, and close your eyes to it but the ONLY people Azriel has had actual romantic interest in is Mor and Elain. Thats canon. That fact can be ignored, or disliked but it can’t be disputed. Hes shown no interest romantically in gwyn, no interest in Eris, no interest in Bryce, etc. the only thing Az has done with all 3 is platonically talked to and looked at them, there have been no declarations, no seeking them out to spend time with them, none of the inner circle has discussed them in any way, shape or form. You can call it lust all you want but no male is keeping a gift from a female for a year just to gaze at cause hes wants to bang her, no male is wanting to be a female’s mate just to bang her, no male gets upset about a female fighting with their sister just cause he wants to bang her, no male risks death just to bang a female…those are deep feelings and it boggles my mind that anyone can ignore whats right in front of them.

I am sorry but these books are not hard to follow. Sjm said it was obvious because it is obvious. Your first thought? Azriel and Elain. Thats who shes been writing, thats who the next books about. You do not have to like it but you do have to accept it.

Just because you dislike it does not mean there some crazy twist SJM has written just for you. She can’t please everyone and who would want that anyways?

I can’t wait to read Brycriel shippers crying after once again learning that hunt and bryce relationship being confirmed as mates and in love for the billionth time.

This is not really a spoiler tho cause brycriel was always a crack ship but tagging justin case, and the only one i am going to share. I don’t consider proving a crackship wrong is a spoiler since we already know Quinlar are mates and are head over heels for each other.

It’s funny how Gwynriel shippers will tell new readers to not read ACOFAS(where Elriel is really clearly set up) and to read ACOSF as a standalone novel.

It’s almost like object permanence with babies, if it’s not in sight or they ignore it long enough they think it doesn’t exist and it will go away 😂. Just because you don’t look at and see it doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist and hold really important info.

Brycriel is in for a shock in 2 weeks after ignoring all the signs of Quinlar’s obvious intense love and elriels feelings(love) for each other. Gwynriel is next.
