Breathe.⁣ ⁣ Channeled message of the day from spirit.⁣ ⁣ Rememeber to breathe mindfully. Breathing is a bodily function that sometimes is overlooked. ⁣ ⁣ When we are careful to breathe deeply, filling our lungs fully, many things change. Stress level is reduced, brain fog lifts and the body is energized.⁣ ⁣ During stressful times you may find that you breathe shallowly which enhances stress. You may even be holding your breath and stopping the body's natural action when you are stressed. ⁣ ⁣ I often use Dr. Andrew Weil's 4-7-8 breathing technique to restore peace and balance. ⁣ ⁣ Before starting the breathing pattern, adopt a comfortable sitting position and place the tip of the tongue on the tissue right behind the top front teeth.⁣ To use the 4-7-8 technique, focus on the following breathing pattern:⁣ ⁣ empty the lungs of air⁣ ⁣ breathe in quietly through the nose for 4 seconds⁣ ⁣ hold the breath for a count of 7 seconds⁣ ⁣ exhale forcefully through the mouth, pursing the lips and making a "whoosh" sound, for 8 seconds⁣ ⁣ repeat the cycle up to 4 times⁣ ⁣ Have you noticed that you breathe shallowly during times of stress? What does #andrewweil have to do with @dorothyknows story? Dr. D trained under him!! On the next page Dr. D asks Mom about her career. Her response. "I was a Do Gooder." I had never heard her describe herself that way before! Years later I used that adjective for part of the title for my #gooddaughterplay! #thanksmom #swipeleft Picture #3 is her and Aunt Evelyn, the eldest girl. Mom was the baby, 17 years her junior. She never got over her death in 2002. Aunt E was first of Mom's siblings who had #dementia #alzheimers and her #wakeup call to prepare for the end of her life..She still recognized everybody and I prayed so hard when when/if my Mom's time came she would too...thankfully she did, but I missed hearing her voice so much!!
