Hey Lily, I want to say thank you for talking about the problems with fandoms in your videos. It's a conversation that is long overdue and needs to be changed. I've dealt with how toxic and ignorant these places are. How they shut themselves in their echo chamber as they allow bigotry to flourish because they can't recognize intolerance even if it's in front of them. The worst one, for me, is the ATLA fandom which preaches acceptance, kindness, and forgiveness but it's all a lie. I've seen how mods attack people with no repercussions. One example is the Ian Ously incident where a Cherokee Veteran was attacked for pointing out how the show isn't as progressive as they believe it is. How the Water Tribe being an amalgamation of 574 federally recognized Indian Nations is problematic because it trivializes and homogenizes the diversity of multiple ethnic groups. A constant problem in the media which Avatar is no exception. The mod didn't even get a slap on the wrist for their aggressive behavior. I've seen how fans speak as if they or the writers/creators were tenured professors who can professionally speak about war crimes, colonialism, war, and historical events. When pointed out how they are wrong or why they shouldn't be doing this, fans quickly whine about how they are being victimized. It doesn't matter if you provide sources from your university or link minority voices to show them the actual reality. "You are wrong, you are white, you are bigoted, you just hate Avatar!" I get tired of content that discusses how Avatar is a reflection of the real world. How it perfectly encapsulates colonialism while regurgitating the same talking points the colonizers used to justify their conquest. When you learn about the Conquest of Mexico you are taught a similar lens. What you aren't told is how the conquistadors relied on translators and thousands of Indigenous allies who they end up backstabbing. They erase their stories and remove their agency leaving them as voiceless victims needing to be rescued. The flawed argument of how the Fire Nation was technologically advanced and militarily superior while the Earth Kingdom is inferior is seeing events through a colonialist lens which the show is guilty of. Worse is how they espouse "Oriental Despotism" as to why the Earth Kingdom *cough* China *cough* is an authoritarian hellscape needed to be shown democracy. There is a reason why historians no longer teach this because it's justifying western imperialism and superiority. Only the west is capable of modernity.

They claim they love minorities but they don't. They will lie to you about being an ally only because it gives them brownie points for their show. They only care about minority issues when it benefits them. Otherwise, fuck your court cases, fuck your struggles, fuck your communities.

I get bullied while fans cheer. I get told how I should keep quiet and not respond while a toxic person is left to do what they want. I've seen mods applaud fans for having a respectful discussion while ignoring the subtle racism in their comments. I've been harassed with mods telling me it shouldn't be personal. I've had my identity attacked because people took offense to a comment for 'mansplaining' a topic they butchered. It doesn't matter if you are connected to these communities or fall under the same ethnic group. They will humiliate you in front of everyone and they will cheer. Never again will I care about Avatar.

Yeah, in terms of quality of work and fanbase, Avatar is on the level of Harry Potter. It was generally always a mistake to gas it up the way we did just because it showed death and sadness sometimes (which are the only reason you fuckers liked it, don't lie.)

Okay this post is a small post of ideas, I personally want to see changes for Code Ultimate since it's my favorite Eve path ever since I started Elsword way back when.

The first one is optional, but I have mentioned over on the discord that Eve should just launch the Black Hole from Generate Black Hole, someone brought up the idea of it exploding and leaving a spatial distortion I forgot what effect it would have for "clearing utility" due to...............most endgame mobs seem unaffected by suction effects??

Critical Strike or what it should be renamed to in NA is Psycho Kinesis. I would rather we remove the bleed and the retract skill option, and it should just be CU's other bossing skill, the Pink Orbs are indicator of "extra" or "true" damage and their rotation could be random. I haven't really given it full thoughts.

Edit: There is an idea for Critical Strike, replace bleed debuff for defense break.

The BIGGEST clear change I would do is make Explosion Impact different. is Eve can use this skill at any time even in the air, to use the whip and launch an Electron Wave, the first one, then a 2nd one for later. BUT the Enhanced effect gives her a special Pink Electron wave which not only travels longer, and it has a large reach, it can do splash damage, this is a bit much for a new player or someone playing CU's path, but this would be a reasonable skill for Eve to rely on. but since it has to be used once before using the third, this means you can save onto it or use it whenever you need but reminder after the 2nd/3rd Electron Wave, it will be in cooldown.

Edit: instead of a Super-Armor, just make invincible for when she uses the skill to launch the Electron Wave

This next change will be controversial.

Converting Queen's Throne as its OWN passive at level 30, this means it will be replaced for a new skill in its place, but what it gains, is once you Awaken you will activate Queen's Throne like Proto-QQ. Since you'll retain Queen's Throne's effect, I was considering Eve gaining the ability on her X commands for her to have a chance to launch some Pink Electron Balls which are just a stronger form of Electron Balls. ( I know Antithese has her own but this is for CU.) And before someone says "This is unfair", look at Yama Raja and her 7 passives and then come back to me again, or we could "give" everyone else an extra passive and skills.

Due to the changes, I will change Queen of Vengeance to a set duration of how long you remain in Awakening. On paper this seems way too strong for an Eve to use, but this is strictly a limit that we the players can't influence more on Eve is, for an amount of time you remain in Awakening you gain an amount of All Skill Damage Increase plus MP Cost reduction, the max you can even get is 10% increased Skill Damage and 15% MP Cost reduction on skills the value will never change above that. But in PvP it will most likely be reduced to 5% each.

Edit: the other option is just keep the idea of awakening for an amount of time for the ASD increase. but keep MP Cost reduction as a given passive number.

Since Queen's Throne is changed I have no idea what skill for Eve to replace that with.

Edit: I have considered giving Eve a Nasod Blade as a replacement, but that's more work than already needed.

Reinforced Nasod Weapons is a hefty change which is, only activated during Awakening. the added Nasod Spear weapons are Explosion Impact (New) and Iron Scraps plus mod. But we're renaming Nasod Spear weapons as Ancient Nasod Weapons.

My other changes are Iron Scraps [mod] needs to linger and have a far larger range to even be considered a "homing clearing skill" not that many people use it as such but it has no reach.

Extreme Cutter (Mod as well) AND Assault Spear Judgement needs more damage, and a faster speed to be considered useful for damage potential and possible clearing potential.

After all of this and a really tired brain, I said my part of what changes could be done. Code: Ultimate is the Nasod Ruler of her own kingdom. The Metal Overlord that she cannot even reach because her baby sisters have some kits at their disposal that she doesn't have or doesn't do enough in.

Ok I just read a poston the New SMP Dream has and read a bit of peoples opinions and honestly, I didn't know it was getting so much hate. (I don't use Twitter) So I wanna share my opinion. Now first of all, getting creators from all over the World to interact is always good and when I first heard of it I was really exited that I World maybe see some people on the SMP who I actually understand. I love QSMP, but I sadly don't speak spanish so I can' t watch some creators. I do however speak fluent german because I live there, croatian because my mom's from there and french because I had to learn it in school ( Also english because of school but that ones kinda obvious). So yeah Dreams SMP sounded awesome.

I do have some things to say about the mod tho. First: It's really impressiv. But also in my opinion it kinda feels like it discourages people from overcoming the languagebarrier and from learning other languages. Another problem is that slang language is just not gonna work. The Translation will just make it incredible weird. Like, alt of words just don't work in english. You can already see this when you take a look at the reviews of the german movie "Fack ju Göhte" or in english " Suck me Shakespeare". The reviews that come from people that are english and only watched it in english often don't understand the Film and don't like it. That's because the movie heavely relies on german slang and humor. It's not that successfull in Germany because of the script.

So yeah back to the original topic, I think this mod will just not work that well, especially with languages that don't Sound like english at all. (Also with how bin this is of a mod and with how many members there have zo be, am I the only one that thinks this Server will just crash one day?)

I don't know it kinda feels like dream needs a new cool project to stay relevant, because DSMP endet. He saw that QSMP was successfull and wanted to copy it. But also I do think we should give this a chance and not start gudging it alleeady wgen it hasn't even started. I understand that you feel angry beause it copys QSMP and will propably be more successfull, because Dream is very successfull, but saying things like "I will unfollow all the CC's that are Part of this SMP" or " This is just a cheap copy of QSMP" is a little bit unfair towarts this project. I mean who knows how good this project really is until it comes out. Also if you really don't like it, just don't watch it, if it really is that bad the hating it that much is just honna give it more cloud and attetion.

Joint exams allow to borrow strong supports so it'll look a little different from regular exams.

Fire Defense

Your fire defense team is good. There are a few suggestions that we have.

🐙: I use that team, except I would use two Dorm Azuls and replace Dorm Jade. This way, I have 9 water elements. The risk of killing on this team is really big, so highly suggest that you leave one of Azul's second spells for last. Assuming all cards are maxed, that team will get you at 21k+.

👑: I would replace Lab Lilia with support Dorm Trey or Silk Jamil. It depends on how much damage you are lacking to end on 5-1.

For regular Fire Defense, I would switching Lab Lilia for either Club Lilia or Silk Cater. Club Lilia has a heal and curse immunity to allies which is very useful for exams that have area curse. Silk Cater is Dorm Trey M HP buddy and has a heal as well and more HP than Lab Lilia.

Since your Leona is Lv.95 with Vil in team, be careful of potentially killing too fast. Otherwise, assuming your support is a Lv.110 Trey, this team has around 65k+ HP.

He is not in the picture but if you have Robes Ortho, I would consider raising him for his Flora heal. DW Idia too is recommended to raise if you have him.

Cosmic Defense

Cosmic defense is always a little tricky because every hit is a neutral hit and you might not have enough power to end on 5-1.

This team mainly relies on Silver and support Trey in dealing damage. It isn't guaranteed to be enough, but the amount of heals should be good enough to get you above 11k score.

The Sims team could have made TheSims4 an AMAZING game, worth its price and better than its predecessors. Get to Work introduced us to Aliens and playable careers but why the heck NOT to sickness? Sure, we have llama flu or whatever it's called but why not a more complex dive into chicken pot or disease that will lead to our sims passing if we dont take care of them? Why not broken bones or migraines? Why not allergies and ACTUAL disabilities, which is something I feel like it's not represented AT ALL and there are so many people who have disabilities. So they are not marketable enough to be represented? They are not as important (if not even more) than the lgbtq community which is getting all the attention possible without putting any effort cause... sorry if you dont wanna hear it but we are not in the 60s anymore, all people of any race, sexual-orientation, etc etc gets bullied and picked on. Get over it. It could have been added even with Nifty Knitting: elders in wheelchairs. But no. Again, why? Cause these people are not marketable enough? Blind sims, deaf sims, a game with actual depth, no? Okay. GG TheSims team. Dine out is still broken. I literally cannot have a restaurant because even if I go to the location and play it out, costumers are a pain in the ass, they dont sit down, when they sit down they get up, the staff is glitchy-- and when I open it from my Sim's house, it just tells me "the restaurant is losing money" every single day... so what is the point? StangerVille, Old Wild West theme = no horses. Cottage Living = no horses. Laundry Day, we literally have ONE washing machine and ONE dryer. AND THE PACK RELIES ON LAUNDRY which is also annoying and poorly made cause they could have given us "wearablity": your sim can wear a specific outfit number of times and THEN it gets dirty and smelly and it gets put into the hamper. Every time my sim changes (which is multiple times a day, without any reason at all) the hamper fills. Every day I have to do laundry which is not that realistic. Also, took too much to make a "wear SLEEPWEAR /EVERYDAY when at home" preference? Cause I dunno if it bothers people but my sim staying into work clothes when comes back home is a bit... annoying. Werewolves are basically furries (no tail, really!?) when they should have been scary (like the ones in the mod..................... again, a mod that is better than the actual game?? WOW) and the storyline, the abilities, the werewolf itself is meaningless, it's empty, is just there without a purpose. No zodiac signs, no "bad" traits or simply not enough to make a difference. We have loner but it's not like having a shy person. We have kleptomaniac but we have limits on the trait. We have squeamish but it triggers only when Sims are doing dishes or cleaning... which is a very superficial view on the trait. No baby strolls cause babies are objects, you cannot even get away from the crib cause you cant interact with it outside that space (but why am I complaining, toddlers came years after the release of the base game, like pools.................) All these things can be achieved with mods. A game that costs 1000 euros ca SHOULDNT NEED MODS, especially to be fun and playable. Pandasama released a realistic childbirth mod, which it has nothing weird showing if you dont have WW but that is the only way I want to play "giving birth" from now on. It's a more serious mod, which it could have been in the game already cause if The Sims team can add sexual preference and pronouns (the last one, to me, is BS to the limit in a game like TheSims but... LGBTQ PEOPLE ARE MARKETABLE YEEEE) there could have been also a better childbirth experience with Get to Work. I could literally go on for days about The Sims not being a good game, way too overpriced and marketed towards a specific generation and who cares about others. Still no different heights or heights slider. In a game that is 8 years old. Only now we have body hair when modders added it years ago... but keep cheering The Sims team for pronouns, yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee... stupidsheeps.

Modded Games FINISHED PRODUCT or DEVELOPMENT PLATFORM for modders The start of today’s video is a question:  Modded Games are they finished products or development platforms companies release and they rely on modders to finish?  Or are they finished products made better by modders who are more in touch with the community and can give the player base exactly what they want?

This was an important question to me, because for a long time I thought mods were a bad thing and that it should be left up to the developer to fix their games and make them playable until I came across the article that said modders made over $1,000,000,000 in 2023 from releasing Mods.  Several games (Roblox, Fortnite, Overwolf) are paying modders for their hard work.  Paradox Interactive just contracted a modder for their hard work in one of the regions of Crusader Kings 3, another game made even better by mods.  One article said that Ark Survival Ascended was only three months old with 1,000 mods in circulation and 60,000,000 downloads.  That’s an insane amount of work put in by the community to make their favorite games better.

I mentioned in the video that the grand survival game Crusader Kings 3 has a Game of Throne Mod, a Lord of the Rings Mod, even a Warcraft mod.  There’s also a Vampire the Masquerade Vampire vs Werewolves mod in there, as well as several other total conversions.  Skyrim has a massive collection of mods, being the #1 game on The Gamer’s list of 24 PC Games with the Most Active Modding Communities.  

Now a major talking point has to be, if games are having to be this modded, are they finished products?  Did the developer do the diligence to release something good, or did they just release a development platform and leave it up to the modders to make it good.  If you remember, so many things were broken in Starfield at launch that without the mods, many things were more difficult than they needed to me.  

A big question on this topic is at what utilization point should a mod feature be added to the game.  If 50% of all the players are using a mod, does that mean whatever the mod does is popular enough to be added into the game?  What about 70%  90%   

As already mentioned, many developers are willing to allow modders to mod their game, some going so far as to compensate them for their work.  Nintendo still remains against the idea of modding, often issues cease-and-desist letters to modder who infringe on their IP.

Finally, add-ons.  Add-ons are their own thing entirely and I didn’t want to detract from the discussion of modders, but I think they needed to be addressed so they weren’t neglected or forgotten.

It was announced today that the Marshall family...the heirs to the company created by Jim Marshall, who’s products served as the backdrop for roughly 3 decades worth of rock...has sold the company to one of these big congomerates.

While the family will still be the marority shareholders and have seats on the board, it’s already been announced that the brand will pivot towards bigger markets...going from the dying guitar industry towards cheap bluetooth speakers, and I kid you not, refrigerators AGAIN. 

Frankly, the fact that Marshall wasn’t doing this shit en masse long ago is part of why they’re here today.  Despite being the sonic and picturesque backdrop of rock and roll...their history is a pretty steady series of fuckups and missed opportunities.  They relied on legend and amps they built decades earlier for their reputation, but they haven’t been taken seriously by anyone other than industry shills since the 90′s.

This is why rock gutiarists for decades have held Marshalls in the absolute highest regard.  The reason the brand MARSHALL is so iconic, is because you saw it in the background of all of these guys in every Rolling Stone, on every album cover, at every concert...

And almost all of these examples are of a guitar plugged straight into an amp that’s teetering on the edge of blowing up.  It was an extremely simple recipe for an extremely useful guitar sound that absolutely exploded with harmonics and overtones...turning a single power chord into essentially its own orchestra.

It was something used to great, great effect by...everyone.  I’m not going to list the notable players...because it’s everyone.

Here’s the thing though...

These iconic amps suffered from things we take for granted.  Business stuff.  I know this sounds lame and boot-licky, but seriously...what good is something if identical products made next to each other could be so variably produced that they might as well not even be the same amp?

There isn’t a single one of these guys...from the OCD nitpicky Eric Johnson to the “I don’t give a shit” Malcolm Young...that didn’t go through a number of these identically modeled amps in search for the “good ones.”

Imagine going to a restaurant...the restaurant is dirty as shit, the employees have no idea what they’re doing, the owner won’t pry himself away from the wealthiest of diners...and 7 out of 10 times the meal is garbage.  Would you go there again?  Even in if those 2-3 other times, the meal is absolutely incredible?

Probably not.  You’d likely think the owner was kind of a shithead.

And that’s the case with Marshall amps.

I don’t know if Jim Marshall was a shithead, but his company sure showed signs of not giving a fuck.  When you hear someone talk about how great Marshall amps are...they’re referring etiher to the “Plexi’s” (named for the plexiglass front) from the 60′s and 70′s, or the JCM800 from the early 80′s...that was essentially just their same amp with a juiced up preamp for more gain.

Nobody is talking about any other amps they make.  Those holy grail ones from the 60′s and 70′s?  There’s as much talk of wading thru shitty ones that were bought for a premium as there is talk about how great the good ones are.  Those great JCM800′s from the 80′s?  The legendary ones have been gutted and modded to hell and back to the point THOSE MOD GUYS built companies on the back of fixing Marshall’s mistakes.

There’s literally dozens of medium-to-small companies making amps the way Marshall should have.  All while Marshall turns out shit issue after shit issue.

The things I’ve complained about big time in the past regarding amps...shitty PCB, bad circuit design, overly complicated/feature-laden amps that don’t do one thing well...Marshall is the leader in all those things.  They simply turn out shit.

But you can’t ignore that iconic brand.  You just can’t.  It’s synonymous with rock music.

To give you an idea of just how small Marshall amps are...lets look at the other two iconic companies of rock music.  Fender and Gibson.  Marshall has 200 UK employees and 300 in Vietnam and generates under $50,000,000 annual revenue.

Now it might not be fair to compare them to Fender, who makes instruments as well as amps...but building amps is more skilled and labor intensive than building guitars/basses the way Fender does.  Fender employs almost 407,000 people worldwide.  Their revenues are over $1billion annually.

Gibson might be a better comparison.  They’ve fucked themselves over from a business perspective just as well as Marshall has, and they only make one type of product.  Entirely US based, they employ 2,800 people and generate $990,000,000.

But you want a really good comparison?  Steinway & Sons pianos.  How often do you replace a piano?  Much less than an amp, for SURE.  And Steinway’s logo is as plastered throughout classical music’s history as Marshall’s has been in rock.  Steinway’s annual revenues are $353,000,000 and employ 1,800 people worldwide.

This doesn’t tell the entire story, obviously...it’s just strange how a company that makes products that require a ton of work is so small compared to peers its own size.  The unfortunate fact is that we can’t compare Marshall to it’s one peer...Fender...because that’s such a lopsided ass kicking, it wouldn’t be fair.  Fender is by far the largest amp builder in the world, they have 30%-ish of the total market.

Take Marshall’s total annual revenue, add about 2/3 to it, and that’s what Fender does each year on amps alone.  And while Fender has quite its own iconic status in regards to amplifiers, they’re not as iconic in rock as Marshall is by a long shot.

Which is funny, given the fact Jim Marshall’s original design was a completely ripped off Fender Bassman only biased with tubes available in the UK.

That last section might be unfair.  It’s highly biased and pretty sketchy in terms of actual substance...I get it.

But the big news today was that Marshall was going to start pushing its brand into other classes.  This is something Fender has been doing for decades already.  You could get all that shit Marshall partnered with another company for from Fender...DECADES AGO.

When I was 19 years old, my mom got me a Fender barstool to practice on for Christmas.  It’s just a really nice stool with a padded cushion that says Fender on it.  Probably cost $30 back then, and I’ve sat on it every day since then.  You’ll see these in every guitar store, you’ll see them at friends houses, in the background of YouTube videos...and Fender has probably made a shitload of money off of it.

It’s a legitinate question...WHY HADN’T MARSHALL DONE THIS YEARS AGO?!!?

You couldn’t buy a MARSHALL AMPLIFICATION shirt in a store until the 90′s.  You had to get one thru a dealer that would do you a favor.  These basic black shirts in faded, near-tattered conditions are still going for over $50 on eBay.

Sure, a $20 t-shirt isn’t going to make or break a company...but when you think about how iconic that brand is, and how one small item could have led to millions of dollars in revenue and exposure...it’s foolish they didn’t recognize this years ago.

Fender puts their name on everything.  Straps, picks, strings, bags, tuners, merch...they’ve been doing this for a long time too...and all those little pennies and dollars coming in HELP.  Meanwhile, you know what kind of shit Marshall was doing as recently as 2015?

Do you remember the ESPN phone?  Do you remember making jokes about that for so long, you don’t even remember when it actually existed?  For the record, the ESPN phone was deemed a failure and shut down in 2006.

Marshall amps are historic and iconic for very good, obvious reasons.  The absolute right model in the right hands can summon the voice of God himself.

But the unfortunate truth about their history is that a better run company would have led to a...better company.  You can’t dismiss Jim Marshall’s focus on rock stars as having a negaive impact...Marshall, the company, completely missed out on how amplifiers that are suitable for a home or apartment are more likely to be sold than behemoths that can’t be played right under 100dB, for starters.

As much as those stars made the brand as iconic as it is, the market is a bigger pond.

When I went to college, both at Cleveland State and North Texas, there were only Fender amps around.  UNT alone probably had 50 Fender amps on their campus.  No, a beat-to-shit Fender Blues Junior is not a cool, iconic amp...but Fender’s sales department doesn’t give a shit.  They’ve got 50 amps on one college campus alone.

Those extra profits allow companies to hire better engineers, additional personnel for quality control, R&D for future releases and making sure the company is on the cutting edge.  That extra profit means better facilities (Fender’s are absolutely incredible) and allows for a company to pivot into the future without losing touch with their history and traditions.

These are all things to scoff at in a vacuum, but make a difference when you look at the bigger picture.  And, more importantly, they’re all aspects of Marshall’s history that are heavy negatives.  Bad workmanship, bad quality control, terrible new releases that were outdated by their competiton before they were released, manufacturing in a leased Vietnam factory, having someone remind you of the ESPN phone...

Marshall never took advantage of their status.  They are iconic for a reason, but the family lost its company because it was never, in its history, a competently run company.  Some of their older amps might have some serious shit going on, but you know what?
