it's a really small detail but I love how this game just. twists the knife when Aria leaves the party by taking her out of the title screen art if you quit to title or restart the game during that part of the story. they absolutely did not need to do that

Now, while there are ways to get around this mechanically, and we don’t know what the hell will happen next episode, the sheer narrative juice of the current situation (two characters dead, only one revivify) is so fucking amazing that I’m going insane. THIS is the angst and tension and drama I’ve been craving. Im fed. I’m enriched.

Presented with minimal context, a panel with two jerks in it. She will stay upset, thank you.

Also as someone who just finished Kazuha’s story quest.
Good on this guy for getting his increased prestige, but also, holding that honorable warrior will given all the circumstances.
Also him and the interactions he made in this may of gave me the feels too.

Last line tag
I believe I owe @katesbelovas a last line tag. I’ve been bouncing around between chapters to stitch some disparate scenes together properly lately, so I’m not sure which exactly is the last thing I wrote. But this is the last thing I remember writing this week:
Aster takes stock of his usual bodily qualms as he stands and finds himself whole for the first time in a while. He breathes easy, from deep in his chest, rooted right into his toes. The deepest breath he’s taken in years. It feels… good. He could cry for the relief of it all. “My god, I think I just woke up from the longest nap… I feel incredible.”
Finn hesitates, unwilling to believe such a thing is even possible. In all the time she’s known him, Aster’s had some physical complaint. “Are you sure you’re alright?”
“I… yeah.” For all he knows, he could’ve woken up in the most lavish bed he’s ever slept in for how rested he feels. And yet… “I’m more than alright, love.” No headaches, no jolts of nerve pain, no soul-deep exhaustion… Not even an ounce of ennui. A smile unfurls across his mouth, unnatural setting there, but somehow right all the same. “D’you know what? I’m just so chuffed to see you is all. You’re right gorgeous, you are.”
“Oh, ah…!” she exclaims, rattled as he presses her face in his hands. He takes her in for a moment, hazel eyes shining with such unbridled affection and a touch of disbelief that she’s really here, right now, with him. He leans in to peck a wet kiss either cheek, and another to her brow and settles there, brow against brow. “I’m glad to see you too…”
If you are a writer, reading this, who would like to partake, consider yourself tagged.

I once had a landlord offhandedly mention that his mother had set this house on fire before. He and his wife lived on the first floor, and i rented the third.
Apparently his mom didn’t like his wife. So she set their house on fire. The house i was living in.
He assured me that everything was fine now and that this was years ago, just kinda laughed, smiled, and said ‘You know how moms are’
Yes. I know how moms are. I know how fucked up moms are as well. I have known many fucked up moms and fellow children of fucked up moms.
Attempted murder through arson is not typical mom behavior, even for a fucked up abusive mom
Oh, and his mother lived next door 🙃

so much love for characters who are desperately unsure whether they’re a good person, a redeemable person, a person worth saving, but are absolutely certain that they’re a grade a hottie

not to sound like a boomer, but I need some people to learn how to write emails in a semi-professional (at the very least) format so you're not cold emailing a business/potential employer/any other stranger about formal matters in the exact same way you'd DM a close friend on instagram
the formality/language can loosen up in the email chain once you've established a rapport and you match the other person if they're being less formal, but please don't have the very first email you send a stranger be written in all lowercase ultra-casual sms slang with no greeting or signature and a billion emojis
