In hindsight, Danny really should have told his parents about being Phantom ages ago.
It seems so obvious now that they wouldn't hurt him once everything was explained properly (which took several hours, a couple boxes of tissue, and Jack Fenton's body weight in fudge.)
In the past few weeks, his mom and dad have really cleaned up their act.
His parents have stopped shooting at him.
They've officially cut off Vlad (Jack was devastated when he found out that Vlad had been trying to kill him).
Dani, or Ellie now, was introduced to his/their parents (Maddie punched Vlad extra hard when she found out he'd made her a grandmother without Danny's consent) and now she has her own room for when she wants to take a break from traveling.
His parents also disabled the security system that kept attacking him.
And they're trying to figure out a way to keep ghosts from popping out of the portal (It's a work in progress).
They've started asking him to help or give advice on their inventions.
They've actually started paying attention to lab safety and stopped cooking/contaminating food with ectoplasm.
It's been great!
His grades have gone up. He's actually getting more than 2 hours of sleep a night. Less injuries. More time to hangout with Sam and Tucker.
The only thing that hasn't gotten better is the GIW.
They don't seem too happy that the Fenton's aren't helping them anymore.
In fact, they seemed really upset that his parents have changed their views about ghosts. Especially since they've been helping him out as Phantom.
Anytime Danny is out as Phantom the GIW starts swarming and trying to capture him.
They seem really desperate to get him. But, as long as his family and friends are on his side, he'll be fine.

A Natural History of Fear is an absolutely batshit audio, not least because it leaves you sitting to the sound of a humming top for the final few minutes just so you can process how utterly batshit it just was

I’ve been watching people play the game cause sadly I don’t have a PS4 ;( and a few days ago I began to watch TLOU2 and WHY DID NO ONE ADVISE ME TO HOW HEARTBREAKING IT IS 😭😭 I literally just paused it directly after Joel’s death and I haven’t watched again it makes me so sad, I can’t bring myself to press play again 😭😭😭 why did Joel have to die the first 2 fucking hours like WHAT I wanted more Ellie + joel moments, like the guitar 😭😭😭 but the fact that when joel died he and Ellie had gotten into a fight and were never able to make up 😭😭😭 STOPPP IM NEVER WATCHING AGAIN

yknow AI art has ruined an entire genre of painting to me, i saw one of those smooth anime-realism pieces and immidiately thought ''ugh, AI art'' until i noticed it was posted by an established deviantart user 6 years ago. like ive never been a huge fan of that genre but it looks like a pretty difficult style to master and i feel bad for the artists who specialized in anime-realism only to have their entire market jacked by people typing keywords into midjourney.

One of many pieces of information rarely discussed that has stuck with me in studying the Holocaust in a literacy class is that people who survived the death camps often did not survive starvation. It is very difficult for a severely malnourished body to recover from starvation. A severely malnourished body will struggle to process food at all, and many people die in the process of “refeeding.” This is called refeeding syndrome for this reason. Reintroducing food can and often is fatal without careful, medical guidance.
Starvation is one of the most common and effective forms of genocide. What makes it effective is that past a certain point, even if aid has been delivered, it is not enough to save someone from death by starvation. What also makes it effective is that withholding food is viewed as a passive consequence of political turmoil rather than an intentional act of violence among a people. You will see more people die from starvation in genocides across history because it is an effective way to kill many people without the use of state resources.
The starvation of Gaza is intentional. The United States and Israel may gesture that they are delivering or allowing aid into Gaza, but in reality they are active participants in the starvation of Gaza by destroying medical infrastructure, limiting the amount of aid “allowed” in, and blocking aid trucks from entering. Throwing food into Gaza by airdrop at this point in the genocide will not be enough without medical infrastructure to refeed a severely malnourished population. Many will die anyways. Many have already.
