The irony always brought a wry grin to her face. She’d been so busy building walls in the face of any male who tried his luck on her, she hadn’t noticed you sneaking up on her. No, sneaking wasn’t the right word. She just should have known better, especially hanging out with Otis and seeing how many varied relationships the school really contained. She couldn’t believe how thick she’d been. She smiled every time she spoke to you, for God’s sake, and it wasn’t a sarcastic smile, or a mocking one, it was a genuine smile, the one so few people saw, always hidden in her hair or bitten off before it could properly form. You saw it, almost every day.

She didn’t have to be anybody else around you, didn’t have to try to be better or worse than herself. You cared about her for her true self, and she didn’t know how to deal with that at first. You wormed your way past all her defenses and into her heart in the sweetest, most terrifying way possible. She held her breath when she first brought you to see her home, bit her fingernails almost to bits until you took her hand and told her that it had never mattered, not to you. You sat together for hours that night, talking about poetry, music, novels, history, anything that came to mind. You leaving at the end of the night was far more painful than she wanted to admit. The second she got the chance to go with you somewhere you could forget about the stresses of high school and life’s bullshit in general, she took it. A carnival just outside the city, the last day it was open. It was almost empty at the end of the day, and you two barely caught one of the last rides on the Ferris Wheel. You settled back in the seats, shoving candy floss into your mouths and trying to slow your breathing.

Maeve couldn’t help it. You were beaming, commenting on the unseasonable good weather, so beautiful she felt like she couldn’t breathe. The wind flung a strand of your hair across your face, and before you could move it, Maeve gently tucked it behind your ear. Your eyes met, and your hand lifted to touch hers. She looked for any sign that this wasn’t what you wanted before she leaned in all at once and kissed you, at the very top of the ride

Dick

He misjudged you heavily when you first met. Years later he’d laugh to himself about it. He thought you were soft and kind, and weak in the way most people were. He didn’t realize that kindness was your backbone. The first time you had teased back at one of his remarks, a shocked grin had found his face and he’d looked at you with a new light. Bantering with you quickly became one of his favourite things, even if you were “a pain in his ass”, said with utmost affection.

You were a good influence on him. He thought the violence inside him would snuff out any bit kindness that flickered to life - it always had. But you nurtured that kindness, expected it from him. He was... better, around you. You brought out the goodness in everybody you met, and he was no exception. He found himself making excuses to hang out with you, to walk you home, get a drink, schedule a ‘totally not a date’ date that you both showed up to several minutes late, after freaking out about what was going to happen and having to calm down and get advice from an exasperated friend. You bumped into each other at the doors of the restaurant, and he had to catch you before you both fell into a heap. It was awkward, but endearingly so. Neither of you knew how to navigate whatever it was growing between you, but somehow it didn’t matter. He had never met somebody like you before, somebody who could affect him without even trying, and he was going to figure out why.

He figured it out very quickly once you grabbed his hand to avoid spilling his coffee on you and he felt his heart skip a beat and a blush - a blush - crawl up the back of his neck. Great. Just what he needed. To be in l... no, no, he wasn’t. He could fight this.

Spoiler alert: no, he could not. He gave in one night and kissed your cheek, had about five seconds to silently panic in a way he hadn’t panicked in a long time, before you saw his eyes flash to your lips, gave in to your own emotions, and kissed him. Suddenly, it didn’t seem so awkward anymore... but the endearment stayed.

Donna

You two both have a bad habit of staring at one another when the other isn’t looking and thinking ‘how did I get this lucky?’ You never understood why Donna chose you, and Donna never understood why you chose her. Because it wasn’t a choice. You two had a connection the moment you first laid eyes on each other. The feelings developed in a soft, slow way. Nothing rushed, even if it was inevitable. Friends, to best friends, lingering in that grey state between that and something deeper for quite a while. Somehow it never bothered you. Donna knew you like nobody else did; she always seemed to get you. Even when you struggled to put things into words, she understood. You didn’t agree about everything, of course, but even in your disagreements you found some common ground.

She was your most attentive listener, dropping everything with a smile if you wanted to run a piece of writing by her. She told you she could listen to you read your work to her for hours, and she meant every word. Your voice gave out before she did. She was always so proud and happy with how she coaxed you out of your shell, overjoyed that it meant you could be open with her about your words and the things you loved. She would wind loose braids into your hair, take one of your hands and play with your fingers or drop a trail of light kisses across you knuckles while your attention was elsewhere. You never felt safer or more heard than when you were with her.

Lazy mornings were kind of your thing. Donna was punctual when she had to be, but any time she could get away with staying curled up with her girlfriend pressing kisses all over her cute face and talking about that new show on Netflix, she could and would get away with it.

Your first kiss was nothing spectacular. After an almost-date, collapsing down onto her bed to find something to watch or read as the routine went, but you couldn’t seem to look away from each other. The kiss was soft, and sweet, and so filled with love it almost made you cry. After, cuddled up with her while she played with you hair and you slowly dozed off, you did cry. She must have noticed, because she rested her lips against the top of your head and hugged you even closer.

aaaa tfw u been without central heating for so long that you get all dizzy and cant sleep once the house is finally warm again its like brain explode cos of such a sudden change aaa or maybe just because i stayed up really late to reset my sleeping patterns in order to actually get to the shops, lol and i guess it kinda worked cos its am now which is almost a morning but also i still feel Tired Dead so i’ll probably go back to sleep and wake up after noon aaaa

anyway i also finally got a new phone after my old one broke ages ago and hopefully this one will work good?? i got a £100 one when my last one was the cheapest possible £35 one in a sale so thats probably why it was so shoddy. this one has 3 times the memory so it hopefully won’t get the same problem of not having enough space to hold its own updates til it dies a slow and ignoble death. Hell, maybe I could actually download Apps! I remember Apps! XD Srsly i had to keep my even older broken phone to use my basic tiny mobile banking app, it was annoying. Maybe I could even finally play the pokemons???

but also it as like Embarassment City cos like I hadnt had hot water for TWO MONTHS and i was in this eternal spiral of ‘cant go to the store and pay bills cos i am smely, can’t un-smely cos no water’. and then I finally resolved to by asking for my support worker’s help to like.. escort me there and shield me, i suppose?? I also really needed to get this new phone cos i had no way of contacting her.

And she actually took me to this really big and fancy Tesco super SUPER market!! It was like the size of my old high school!! There was a whole phone store inside it and it was super huge and crowded and scary and also exciting!! AND GUESS WHAT HAPPENED I SUDDENLY GOT SICK FOR NO REASON wtf why my luck like this i just suddenly felt super woozy and stomach ache on the drive there and it wasnt even travel sickness cos it was a really quick and short drive. I still dunno what happened, maybe just the bread i ate that morning was slightly out of date cos thats all I even had?? Or I dunno maybe my travel sickness gets worse if i have a relatively empty stomach. So yeah we got to the store and I was like WAIT A SECOND and rushed to the bathroom and was in there for like half an hour throwing up and then i felt completely fine? So it was probably the bread, right? But even if it resolved itself quickly and was no big illness, I was still super panicked that entire time, getting all anxiety dizzy in a supermarket bathroom cos WHAT IF IT GETS WORSE AND WE HAVE TO CANCEL THE WHOLE DAY AND GO HOME and also WHAT IF PEOPLE CAN HEAR ME PUKING and also WHAT IF I SMELL LIKE PUKE ALL DAY and also AAAAA I’M KEEPING MY SUPPORT WORKER WAITING But it all turned out okay, lol

And then the cashier in the phone store was really nice and helped answer all my questions cos I know Nothing about phones. And we even had a bit of jokey banter over the weird names of all the phone models. (”Titan Grey”!) But then i also feel awful about embarassing myself with my Inability To Choose Between Things. I kept everyone standing there for like fifteen minutes but IT FELT LIKE AN HOUR and I was just like ‘pleas stop telling me the phones are equally good, please throw me the slightest bone’. So I just ended up going for the slightly more expensive one with a better camera cos the sticker was blue instead of pink and i wasn’t wearing any pink today. THIS IS THE KIND OF IMPULSE PURCHASE THAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU LET BUNNI DECIDE And then it was kinda hilarious how the guy was then like ‘okay so what colour do you want’ and i was like ‘AAAAAAA’ i just went with titan grey cos it sounded funny ALSO!! I got a little stylus thing for touch screen phones so it’ll be easier to use! And it came with a free speaker amp which I will probably not use but it looks cool at least! :D

And then I embarassed myself again by walking too fast in the shop and getting lost from my support worker and kinda freaking out a little, but she managed to find me and It Was A Dumb Thing To Worry About Ehhh... Oh but I did enjoy browsing all the cool stuff this store had that normal ones don’t! I have no idea what a Pomelo is but now I own one!! It looks like a giant orange but kinda lemon shaped?? I just keep looking at it instead of eating it, its so weird and cute! I also LE GOSH found the one brand of noodles I really loved as a kid: Other Flavour. Remember that post I made earlier this year about the prawn flavour nostalgias? Well those weren’ EXACTLY how I remembered them, they were a little more spicy and the noodles were stickier. But it was still awesome! I’ve changed a lot in a decade too, lol! So anyway I found the curry flavour version of those, which i also liked, and i cleared the whole damn shelf of them into my basket. Who knows when I’ll ever get to return to super tesco!!! ALso they had a way bigger world foods aisle and I decided to try some random asian sweets and snacks. Its a shame I don’t know exactly what they’re called cos the packages are all in japanese and korean. It says ‘Kusaga strawberry gummi’ but that might be the brand and not the name of the food itself? And then the other one is just ‘korean seaweed’ on the english label. Like yo, what one?? There’s loads of different seaweed snacks, like nori and konbe and dulse and probably even more!! And ive never tried any of them so how can i tell, lol? This one, whatever it was, came in small flat sheets and kinda tastes barbeque flavour. And when you hold em up to the light they look like cool glowy cathedral windows~! Also the gummi sweets get stuck in my throat so i probably won’t get those again, lol. Good tho! Despite the choking!

Oh, and @summon-daze your hat absolutely saved me!! Great shield against the sun and the social embarassment! Plus it made me feel confident cos of how damn cute at least 10% of my existance looks today. I am a beautiful head on a trash body! So they had No Man’s Sky on clearance sale for £10 and I got it cos I remembered you had it. I Dunno if I ever asked if you enjoyed it tho? XD But it was cheap so even if it ends up being bad I won’t be too sad. And honestly my standards are low so as long as it delivers on Randomly Generated Worlds Oo Look At That Weird Aminal i’ll probably be satisfied even if there’s not much gameplay.

gang gang! the game changed eren’s spoon episode: instead of a spoon, his hand transforms reaching for a bandage you meant to hand him and he dropped. doesn’t really seem like a necessary change, but titans ran in and you had to protect him.

game levi has a lot less chill than usual lmao so demanding (this changes later tho)

getting to know jean: tease him about his mother XD (highkey bc no one else has one sakdjfnaksnf)

it’s really sweet how hange picks you out. it’s mostly bc your character’s eager to help her with experiments. in bel’s fanon, anyone can advocate for her as a plot point.

while getting to know levi, he leads a joint training exercise for a select few soldiers from all the regiments to teach teamwork. most were just looking to earn brownie points for a promotion, so he calls it off. bad form y’all~

um sir she’s already killed a fuckton we’re flattered but a bit condescended to askjfnaksfnaj (he ends up teaching you some new moves tho so fair bc we all know he’s clumsy with his words)
