some people are truly off their rocker and i don't want to attribute it solely to shit i see on twitter bc I've heard this irl a few times these past couple of weeks but i did see someone on twitter today questioning why Palestinians have children... why the fuck not? these children are the hope for a better future; they're the continuation of aeons old bloodlines; parents have a right to have kids even under apartheid. what your question suggests is nothing short of eugenics imho and truly completely disconnected from the humanity of Palestinians and their rights to full, dignified lives with choices and possibilities. like imagine being pro-choice until one of these choices is "can i have a child if my people are being ethnically cleansed". so long as there is life there is hope and that isn't just a trite little saying it's a way of existing and resisting.

Just some things I think deserve a super accurate movie/show adaption in a beautiful 2D animation style:
The How to Train Your Dragon series
Gregor the Overlander
Artemis Fowl
The Adventure Zone
The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
Frankenstein or the Modern Prometheus
The Wonderful Wizard of Oz (fr so much was left out of the 1939 film!)
Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking-Glass
The actual Little Mermaid story (there are a ton of adaptations I haven't seen yet so maybe it exists somewhere but we all know Disney’s didn’t even come close)

Also speaking of the song Villain, I think it's really really funny how people make AMVs for their favorite little evil and/or morally dubious characters while completely not understanding the song... It's not literally about being a villain. It's about being transgender. It's using the term "villain" as a label forced on the singer for their identity, something other people call them that they're sarcastically reclaiming. So, like, people think they're making AMVs that are like "wow so twisted and fucked up and evil" but they're actually just applying a transgender pride anthem to the character 😭

I know I'm definitely not the first person to complain about this, but guys...REBLOG.
REBLOG REBLOG REBLOG REBLOG
As creators we're on this platform for the community and the interaction, not for the faceless likes (which do nothing for the algorithm on top of that).
If you like a fic, tell the author in some tags! If you enjoyed an artwork, reblog and leave a comment. Even an empty reblog helps. Don't want to clutter your blog? Make a side blog.
I've seen people say that we 'don't owe each other anything' and that's true. But if you want to keep enjoying free content, you guys better start reblogging.
Cause otherwise all the artists you admire so much, or the authors you've followed for years will disappear into their private circles and there won't be any content for you to enjoy at all.

Love it when people barge into my comments or ask box all confused about the penis thing. Like I promise you that if you scroll like 10 posts you will understand that I always do this and it's normal. It's nothing to write home about. The answer is easy but also you don't need an answer and will probably survive even if you never find out why I put penis and cock on all my fiber arts posts. It's OK.

idk why people are having such a hard time wrapping their brains around the fact that not referring to people as prisoners and instead referring to them as people in prison or incarcerated people is a really really simple thing you can do to help combat decades of the systemic dehumanization of black, brown, and poor people. in the US and a lot of other countries around the world, the term prisoner has extremely negative connotations and stigma associated with it, and invokes a whole lot of bias and stereotypes about who is in prison and what for. the idea that people who are in prison are there because they are bad awful people is deeply ingrained in almost every aspect of US society and culture. prisons systemically dehumanize people and do everything to strip away people's autonomy, individuality, identity, freedom, and human rights.
the push for person first language when discussing those who are incarcerated literally comes from people who have been systemically dehumanized from these oppressive punitive systems. this is not an ahistorical uwu sjw don't say "autistic" say "person-with-autism" thing. there are decades, fuck even centuries of significant, deeply racialized and oppressive political and historical context you have to take into account.
so please don't feed into this dehumanization by referring to people as objects in this extremely oppressive, racist, classist, harmful punitive system. use person first language y'all, it's not that fucking hard.
here's some articles if people actually care enough to educate themseves

hate when usopp is portrayed as a weakling when he loses a close range fight. he’s a sniper. his specialty is long range. even zoro and sanji struggle with long range battles because their fighting style is short range. but they are never portrayed as weaklings.
actually usopp is really fucking strong for being a sniper that is never used as a long range fighter. in a long range battle, usopp will win every single time because he’s a damn good sniper.

Do you think Kes' ability to pick up on things so quickly is linked to her being an Ocampa? Like, since she's 2~ years old in canon (and has distinct memories of her father) I imagine her species doesn't spend much time as children and I wouldn't imagine they'd have formal schools (like entire buildings for schooling) and would instead learn from like, primarily parents or other elders. In that case learning things very quickly would be extremely beneficial for their survival.
Kes: Oh yes, childhood...what a lovely few days~
Kes was a baby like for a day and then the next day she was up and ready to learn. Kes meets Naomi and every day that passes she becomes more and more amazed that she's still a baby. Wow! It's been like two months and she still can't do anything?? The doctor told her it was normal but wow.
What I'm saying is they should have had Kes as a jack-of-all-trades character who could slide into pretty much any of the teams on Voyager. The Doc misses her when she's not in sickbay though!

I've been seeing so many anti-Daniel posts, I get why you (not you, in general) might not like him but why are you out here trying to convince others to not like him/mocking people who like him? Just let people be fans of whoever they want to be fans of, it's not that hard. This makes a fandom so toxic, complaining is fine but this a human being we're talking about, why do you have to be so hateful towards another person, one who doesn't even know you exist? People need to be reminded to just live and let live atp, go touch grass or whatever. (Idk why I put this in your asks but yeah)

Why do you people get so mad when someone tells you incest is bad? 🤨📸
Hey Dumbass Anon,
We get mad when morons like you come at us because we're fully aware that incest is nearly always wrong in real life, but that has absolutely nothing to do with shipping it in fictional circumstances. You idiots fail to understand that there's a huge difference between FICTION and REALITY, and that enjoying something in fiction doesn't mean condoning it in reality.
Plenty of people are fans of gory films and shows like the Saw series, Hannibal, Dexter, any slasher flick, or even Game of Thrones or The Boys, but only an utter imbecile would believe that those people approve of murder, torture, cannibalism, and so on in the real world. Part of the point of fiction is to allow us to explore dark, dangerous, and/or taboo topics in a safe environment, after all. So why is so hard for you absolute walnuts to understand that this applies to things like Wincest as well?
In addition, the reasons why real-life incest is almost always horrible don't actually apply to Wincest anyways. Sam and Dean are consenting adults who can't have offspring with each other, so there's no possibility of child abuse, rape, or inbreeding. No one at all, whether fictional or real, is getting hurt by fantasizing about these two characters being in a romantic and/or sexual relationship.
Whereas by your ignorant "logic," nearly every major ship in SPN is problematic in some way: any ship with angels or demons involves rape if the vessel is still alive or necrophilia if the host is dead, any ship between a human and any kind of supernatural creature most likely involves major age gaps and/or power imbalances, necrophilia if the creature is undead, and possibly some form of bestiality, and so on. So why aren't you jackasses also going after shippers of Destiel, Sastiel, Sabriel, Denny, and so on?
