Stop borrowing grief from the future wednesday

#beating myself upside the head! stop! borrowing! future grief!!!#stop it!!!#im tired and everything is bad #and im worried about fading tattoos. which is silly. this is brand new #i can always get touch ups or have it faded and then do a darker cover up #but idk worry about artist relations and im kinda unhappy with my artist and idk if thats my fault or not #just. blegh #the art is fine. its not as dark or bold as i wanted but neither is it as delicate #i think part of me was pulling to each of these exyremes #extremes*#and now its a sort of middle ground neither feminine nor masculine style #(ignore the gendering of that im talking societal perception)#i think i wouldve liked to have gotten bolder line work done. just for aging purposes #and less intricate detailing bc again aging #but i will be careful with sunscreen and moisturizer. alas.#bolder lines hurt more. but i think id have been willing to try #again . commitment issues. multiple styles. etc.

#my art #i hate having long hair and yes to me this is long bc i normally have a pixie cut #but my favorite hairstyle is space buns! theyre so cute #my hair has such nice curly waves but it gets so ramen noodleish at a certain point lol #idek if i want to grow it or cut it rn #its all old bleach and bad color but i have so many grays #idk whether to pink it or stay natural anymore #im always unhappy with the pink at first bc i hate it too saturated #but i wish people would stop fucking commenting on it when its faded #the peach blonde honestly isnt horrible bc i like the light around my face #but like ppl at work have never seen me with my naturally dark hair!#the pink is just. so much goddamn blonde maintenance #it i wasnt worried about people monitoring me going jokermode i would dye it green #yes in his honor and yes bc green is historically the easiest color to maintain #but i being stupid love pink which is literally the opposite of green and the hardest color to maintain #jesus my hair rant. anyways

Notes:

- Main outfit based off the orginal skin for them (minus capelet). I might do a better design at a later point but I am out of outfit brain power atm

- They like nicer clothes (like sweaters and button ups) but are often annoyed by the lack of mobility

- Mask only comes off when alone or with people they trust. Their headscarf, on the other hand, is used to protect their hair, so they might take it off in public, but usually only briefly, to adjust it.

- The Moofia was important to them. Even after its effective dissolution, cows were very dear to them. Also cow axe :]

- Prone to annoyance and nervousness in equal measure. An asshole on bad days and tricky bastard on good ones.

Thats mostly it. I am going to be thinking about them for weeks to come <3

Emotional regulation 🅱️lease

#spent my day editing not one not two but THREE things I had written and received feedback and critique on #and most of it was fair but like fuck and when I called home my mom yelled at me #like it’s hard not to be self critical when literally everything in my life is critical of me #and I cut my hand doing the dishes washing my kitchen knife #and I know my students are filling out surveys and I know I’m gonna get the criticism about being slow at grading that I always do #and I’m worried they’re gonna be unhappy at my internship that I haven’t finished labeling the wardrobe and I don’t think I can #like the nature of grad school is that you are being shaped and given constructive criticism #but like would it kill someone to compliment me on something that isn’t how well I rise to challenges #a lot of it is me rushing papers and getting scores that reflect this but #this is when usually I would post art or fic and then get positive validation that way but I don’t have time to draw so #I need to stop listening to ROME I can’t listen to him after 10 pm it makes me too depressed #also like I think I’m depressed again ✌️

I’ve done a lot of planning and prep and tried to think ahead so hopefully August will be okay this year

#personal #I’ve somehow managed to book myself almost completely solid with nannying so there will a minimized chance of a thought occurring #and I don’t have to work on the 22nd this year. it is a Tuesday this year.#it happened on a Friday but this time it’s a Tuesday.#so I plan my day! I think I’ll treat myself to a nail appointment and a coffee and after my bf is done working we can get lunch together #and I’ll read SxF and sailor moon and TPN vol 14 and nap and it will be okay!#and there’s eema bday art to look forward to. that always makes it better :)<333 #not unhappy but not unsad !

Sorry I can't update you on any of the writing I'm doing rn I know it's not a ton of you who are really interested but it does feel weird not to have anything to put out lately. Either way here's what I can tell you, I'm making a lot of progress on sea of stars (scrapped the old version at around 5k words and I'm at almost 6k now with some much needed improvement) and I've got a new series I'm workshopping atm as well as some outlines for the travel log series. I've been pretty busy with work and my health lately but this is one of the few things I'm very passionate about that I can still do around those two things. Regardless, if you're one of those folks who do enjoy my lil stories, thank you for being patient ❤️ and thank you for enjoying what I do
