When the Body Says Yes
Tumblr media
Pairing: Vampire Bucky Barnes X Reader
Summary:  Your hunt for an authentic Venetian mask in Venice leads to a different hunt entirely... one where you are the prey.
Words: 3.1k
A/N:  I hope you enjoy this little patch of darkness!  And I humbly request your feedback.  If you like it at all please give it a 🧡 and a reblog, If you loved it then please let me know in a reblog comment - I will always respond so long as Tumblr doesn’t toss them into the void.
I was inspired to write this fic on a recent trip to Venice.  Walking around the city - getting lost is often the best way to find unique things - I discovered the “Dutch Pavillion” which had an art show called “when the body says yes”.  This inspired the smut aspect of the fic.
Please note this is not a happy ending...
Warnings: Dark Bucky, Vampire Bucky, angst, hurt/no comfort, stalking/hunting, fear/panic, non-con smut (effectively sex-pollen), explicit sexual content, blood, character death (ambiguous), talk of lost loved ones.

Tumblr media
The late October air is mild and still.  The setting of the sun illuminates the city of Venice in a different way; streetlights and shop fronts bring life to the night.  Market stalls and street vendors sell tourists souvenirs and tat, and restaurant staff haunt the steps of passers by, claiming the best pasta in Italy or one-time-only discounts.
The streets are packed with people in costume, and street artists entertain the throngs with performance and song.  It is Halloween.  How could you not be giddy as you shop for an authentic Venetian mask on a night when the whole of Venice seems to wear one.
In the mass of bodies, some costumes stand out.  Your eye is drawn to a particularly alluring devil mask; white with gold filigree and a sinister, red-lipped smile.  The person wearing it, certainly a man, is tall and broad-chested, wearing a long black cloak with the hood up.  Besides the mask he may as well be a shadow, and he is looking right at you.
His mask is wonderful and you should really approach him to ask where he got it, but the coldness of his eyes - dark and foreboding behind the mask - warns you off.  You glance around, aware that you are stood in the middle of the pavement in everyone’s way but when you look back he is gone, vanished into the crowd.
The chill at the nape of your neck cascades down your spine and over your skin as goosebumps.  It is probably just the charged atmosphere and the occult connotations that Halloween brings, but you cannot shake the feeling until the smell of fresh pizza fills your nostrils and your tummy growls in appreciation.  Tasting the local offerings is definitely on your to-do list but only after you have bought yourself an authentic Venetian mask, of course.
Your hunt for the perfect mask takes you away from the busy central area around San Marco.  The streets become less retail and more like narrow alleys between tall misshapen buildings.  High-up balconies with flowering planters give way to shuttered windows and crumbling brickwork.  The air has taken on a sudden chill as mist hazes the air lightly.
The hairs on the back of your neck bristle, skin crawling uncomfortably as you realise that you don’t quite know where you are anymore; the map makes no sense compared to what you are seeing with your eyes.  Behind you, shoes scuff on stone and you whip around only to find the pathway clear. You are alone.
The city hasn’t felt at all sinister until now, but you try to pass it off as a symptom of the night; Halloween is a time for ghost stories and chilled bones, all the more effective to the solitary wanderer.  By rights you shouldn’t be here alone, but you are.  A promise made to a friend recently laid to rest; you had planned to do this together, to cross Venice off your bucket lists together, experience the romantic city on the water.  Lucy. Her bucket list would forever be unfinished, her time cut short, your heart broken in two.  You were doing this for her, making good on all the plans you had discussed, all of the things you had both dreamed of.  She would laugh at you if she could see you now, quaking in your boots because of a little darkness and fog.  The memory of her light laughter carries you forward.
You were hoping to make your way to the Rialto and use the bridge to cross the grand canal to San Polo, but the huge structure remains elusive.  Instead, you find yourself passing through some of the more dilapidated parts of the city.  You had seen the Cannaregio area in your guidebook and had wanted to visit during the day when shopping for craft and vintage items would be better, but you find yourself on the edge of the old Jewish Ghetto before realising it; a sign of carved stone under an archway tells you Sotoportego De Gheto.  You pass underneath and keep going.
There are fewer people here, and the ones you pass are not dressed in costume.  No one is wearing masks, which makes the dark cloaked figure in a white devil mask all the more conspicuous.  The man from the parade.  He is standing in a dark space between two buildings, his mask pale and ghostly in the shadows.  He is watching you.
For a moment, you are frozen in place.  A step aborted with a slight stumble and a gasp caught in your throat.  That prickling feeling at your nape returns with fervour, crawling over your scalp now, making your heart race with fear. He had not been ominous when you first saw him in the crowd but now you feel like you should not get any closer, and you definitely should not cross his path.
Heading in a different direction, you try to put some distance between you and the man.  You take turn after turn in the dark, closed-in alleys, crossing canal after canal with their bridges made of steps and no railings.  And just when you think you have lost him, the swish of a dark cloak in your peripheral vision sends your panic skyrocketing upwards once more.  It feels like he is everywhere you turn.
Suddenly frantic, you run – crossing small, cobbled squares with strange, covered wells and dodging around corners – just to escape.  Everywhere you turn the shadows seem to move.  Pale masks with sinister red smiles follow every step.  Every time you think you have seen a normal person who you can ask for help, it is another ominous shadow that moves just like the rest.
Your eyes are swimming with tears when you emerge from the alley at the edge of another canal.  The bridge nearby is larger than the few before it and you take the steps at a run, crossing over onto an open square with a large white building that looks to be some sort of church or museum; the rainbow colours in the circular gothic-style window give you hope.
It is warm as you cross the threshold and a delicate musky scent welcomes you inside.  The atrium is clad in dark wood, carved in the gothic style. Its pointed arches and flourishes are highlighted by the cosy orange glow of lanterns that surround a petite lady in a dark orange robe, her shaved head accenting the beauty of her face. She smiles at you and welcomes you to the Dutch Pavillion, a place to explore one’s inner self and beauty.  You glance over your shoulder and out into the night.  There are no ominous shadows and no pale masks haunting your steps now, and you sigh with relief as you step further inside.
The warm glow of the lanterns leads you to the right, through a large doorway where the wood stops and the same white stone from the exterior continues throughout the rest of the huge chamber.  A sheer curtain made of fine filaments of woven threads hangs between you and the rest of the chamber.  A projection of some film reflects against it, and you see it from behind, bodies writhing in pleasure as the flickering images reveal an orgy in progress on the curtained screen.
What is this place?
The floor around you is covered with shoes, paired nicely and respectfully, and you realise that beyond the fringe curtain the whole chamber floor is covered in cushions and upholstered shapes that rise and fall like waves.  Not just waves, soft peaks and raised platforms too, all comfortable and appealing.
There are people there, watching the film as it plays on the strange fringe curtain.  Couples cuddling and others reclining in this comfortable, care-free space. The scent that welcomed you in is stronger here, reminding you of something you couldn’t quite place, stirring emotion in you that could only be described as desire.
You shouldn’t be here, but you don’t want to leave.  Whoever was following you could still be there, waiting for you outside.  The man in the mask.  You don’t know what he wanted but it couldn’t be good.  The least sinister motive for his pursuit would have been to talk to you but then he would have called out to you, surely? Your skin crawls again as you stand, caught between leaving and pushing through the curtain.
You decide to peek, fingers twitching as they part the fringe, revealing more than could be seen before.  It is a scene in motion, people in various states of undress, writhing and gyrating in pleasure.  The scene in front of you reflects what’s being projected onto the curtain, larger than life and unfiltered.
A quiet squeak and a loud thump startle you and you turn to find the door to the outside closed.  The petit woman in the orange robes passes you with a dark cloak over her arm and something else you recognise held reverently in both hands.  A white devil mask with a sinister, red-lipped grin.
You stagger back, tripping on the shoes, crying out as you fall to the ground but you don’t land. Instead, you are held up and lifted back to your feet by strong arms that cradle you gently.  That is when you first see him properly.  Styled dark hair that is swept back and piercing blue eyes that smile at the edges.  Dusky pink lips that look plush but firm, all the more vibrant against his pale complexion. The suit he wears is dark, as is his shirt.  His whole demeanour speaks of strength and power, and he looks more than sightly amused by your panic.
“Forgive me,” he says, voice neither too deep nor too soft.  His eyes glint with mischief.
Your panic does not abate. No matter what your eyes and your brain tell you about this man, your gut is telling you something else.  This man is beautiful and dangerous.  A predator.
As he helps you to your feet his eyes never leave yours and you can feel your head start to swim. The musky scent from before is suddenly overpowering and you feel like you can’t breathe.  You stumble against him and he inhales deeply, eyes fluttering closed, mouth falling open slightly as he sighs with pleasure.
“Please,” you beg as your arms start to feel heavy, “please don’t hurt me.”
He smiles softly, tipping your chin up so he’s looking down into your eyes.  The breath he blows gently over you intoxicates you even more and you can feel that irresistible pull of desire once more.
“Who are you?”  You moan, trying to shake some clarity into your foggy brain.
“You may call me James,” he places his fingertip on your forehead, “now, stay.”
You cannot move, no matter how hard you try, you can only watch as he sinks to his knee and removes your shoes one at a time.
“What do you want with me?”
He looks deep into your eyes once more, the blue of his almost black now and you’re reminded of a predator’s prey drive.  Is that what you are?  His prey?
“You’ll see.”
He parts the curtain and walks you through, your feet obeying his pull but not your own need to escape.  The longer you’re under his spell the less you care, your heart beating fast out of excitement instead of fear now as his control strips you of all the emotions that you felt before.  All that was left now was desire, devotion, excitement and a need for this man who had hunted you through the streets of Venice.  James.
Other hands touch you as you pass carefully in James’ wake, the light caresses neither satisfying nor offensive.  James’ hands, however, they set fire to your nerves and make them sing with adulation. He insists on undressing you himself, glaring at anyone who approaches you.  They recoil in fear, seeing something in him that you have no capacity to comprehend in your altered state, and soon it is just the two of you on a raised part that you accept as his bed.
James’ naked body is as beautiful as his face.  He is sculpted, strong and pale against the vibrant coverings and cushions of his bed. When he lays you down beneath him you can only watch as he settles between your parted thighs, lust-blown eyes devouring you whole.
His first kiss is at your ankles and the tops of your feet where he nips with his teeth and soothes afterwards with tongue and lips.  The path he takes up your body is slow and consuming.  By the time he is at your thighs you are on fire, desperately needing more than what he is giving you.
In the back of your mind, the rational part of you screams to escape.  You know you should be terrified.  You had not agreed to this.  You know nothing about him, nor do you want to after he stalked you through the city, hunted and herded you to this place.  His place.
The nip of his teeth on the inside of your thigh is sharp, a deep ache blooming under the site, drawing your attention back to him.  His lips are sealed around the skin as he moans deeply, lightly suckling and licking. Your head falls back as a wave of light-headedness takes hold of you, just on the edge of bliss, almost like feeling drunk.
James’ face flushes pink and he smirks before he continues upward to your naked core.  His kisses are hot and needy as he trails his lips over the soft hair of your mons and inhales the scent held there.  He moans as he smothers you with his mouth and licks between your lips causing you to gasp and writhe.
The projection on the fringe curtain shows you both together; you lay on your back with a blissful smile on your lips and him lay between your legs, his cock hard and glistening as he devours you.  The red smear on your thigh an afterthought.  You watch your back arch as he slides his fingers inside you, and the feeling is surreal; watching yourself as he works you into a frenzy is beyond erotic.  You feel yourself cresting the wave of pleasure with his fingers inside you and his mouth working its magic, and when you crash on the rocks of oblivion your whole body shakes with the aftershocks.  You pant and moan as you come back into focus and you see James’ eyes on the screen, he looks at the camera with his dark, lustful gaze before returning his mouth to your flesh and beginning the process again.
His teeth nip at the skin of your hips and tummy, lips soothing afterwards as he travels further still, up to your breasts where he lathes one breast with his tongue, flicking and sucking on your nipple until you moan again.  Fingers still buried in your core, he has been massaging and teasing enough to keep you close to orgasm but not quite there.  His ministrations on your breasts tip you over and he supplies an orgasm for each breast, nibbling your nipples then sucking hard until you climax each time.
“You’re perfect,” he sighs above you with his cockhead poised at your entrance, “delectable, delicious and divine.  Just as I knew you would be.”
He penetrates you firmly but smoothly, burying himself in you to the hilt.  The solid stretch of him filling you makes your eyes roll back and closed.  His thrusts rock your whole body as you cling to him, your legs around his hips and hands grasping his shoulders.  It is not long before you pant and beg him to make you feel good again, and he does. He hooks your legs over his elbows and pushes your legs back so you are wide open to him.  Open and more vulnerable than ever, weak and at his mercy.
Leaning over you like he does, his cock is buried so deep you can see it pushing against your tummy from the inside; he is hitting your sweet spot every time now, and your eyes water with the intensity of it.  James looks ravenous as he watches you come apart under him, grinding his hips against you until the spasming of your core brings him to his own end.
Buried deep and pulsing inside you he drops yours legs and falls forward.  His teeth nipping at your neck is harsh like it was at your thigh, a deep painful ache settles where his lips join your skin and his hands are rough as they hold you to him.  You can feel a dual throbbing; in your core where he is still buried, hard and pulsing, and in your neck where he bites down on you.
The waves of your bliss start to fade and when James releases you, you look up at him with black tinging the edges of your vision.  A cold chill settles over your skin as you see that the redness of his lips is not the flush of his orgasm, but blood.  Your blood.  And his teeth are not white anymore but tinged with red, and sharp.
“No!”  You gasp with panic, and wriggle to get free – his spell seemingly loosened now – but he pins you down by your throat.
“Shhhh…” he soothes, the sinister air about him has returned and so has that scent, “you taste so much better feeling pleasure rather than fear.”
He blows an intoxicating breath over you again and you start to succumb.  At the grey edges of your vision you see faces – white with red-lipped smiles – and James doesn’t make them leave this time.  Your fear is replaced by desire once more as James bows his head to your neck and kisses over the deep throbbing ache he left there.
“Don’t worry, I won’t let them have you for long,” James smirks, “you’re mine.”
A sharp pain at your wrist makes your eyes water and you close them against the horror.  Absently you wonder if you’ll see Lucy again soon. You don’t know whether her fate or yours is worse, neither is what either of you hoped for.  Either way you’ll meet again, you’re sure of it.  If these creatures exist then surely there’s a heaven and a hell, an afterlife or another form of existence.
You screw your eyes shut as more bites are added to your pain.  You feel dizzy now, ethereal and warped all at the same time.  Tiredness floods your body and when the darkness claims you, you’re glad.

For the past two years there's been a zodiac themed display of fun postcards designed by a variety of artists in the gift shop of the Museum of Contemporary Art. Looking forward to the Year of the Dragon, I'd been planning to go for a while and finally headed over. To my dismay it was not there! However, I was prepared to undertake one of my favourite activities, pestering an unsuspecting employee about it in Mandarin. Props to that man, who actually made a phone call to somebody about it, who called him back after investigating, whereupon he wrote down an address and phone number for me, because it turned out the whole thing was not organised by the museum but by a print shop. He suggested I call them first, but he was unaware that my least favourite activity is calling strangers on the phone in Mandarin, plus the location was only a ten minute walk away. The museum itself seemed plagued by an unusual amount of tourists and school children today, so I decided to skip the whole thing and go on this quest.
I was rewarded en route by a street full of seasonal decoration shops preparing all the shiny things for Chinese New Year (is this not also a kind of modern art??), and a wander down some alleys I would never have otherwise wandered down. Finally I found the place, Retro Jam 印刷, which to my good fortune had the sought-after postcards on obvious display. They seem to do all manner of screen and risograph printing, and also sell supplies and prints. I can't speak to the quality of services but I had a great time poking around in the latter. Across the street was a place called Risograph Museum, which as far as I can tell was unrelated to Retro Jam, and was not a museum but a small shop of prints and cute items where I also flipped through cards to my heart's content (apparently the main Risograph Museum with printing services is in Taichung).
Afterwards I had ambitions to go to IKEA and get a duvet cover for an IKEA duvet I'd come into the possession of recently (via a friend distributing loot household items before moving back overseas), so I walked to Beimen Station when hunger struck. I am not the kind of person who can simply walk into a strange restaurant. Usually it requires extensive investigation and two to three back-up schemes, which is not really something I care to do while sitting outside the metro by a noisy intersection. The primary way to streamline this procedure is to focus solely on curry. There was a place called Curry Lab. Tokyo (with the punctuation, yes) conveniently near IKEA, and it had a solid 5 stars, which induces suspicion because that generally means the place gives some discount or bribe for good reviews, but I chanced my luck.
It was dishearteningly dark within when I got there despite being 16:31 (with 16:30 opening hours listed) but the employees were present and the door was open, so I asked exactly when business commenced and they turned on the light and told me to sit down.
Lo and behold, I really would rate it as one of the top 5 Japanese style curries I've had. Something about the spices and the onions. I was impressed. I even indulged in a pudding afterwards, which was equally delightful.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Google Maps' estimation of the crowd level at IKEA had me a bit wary but it was pretty empty and I had a grand time feeling the fabrics, sniffing the scented candles, and restraining myself from purchasing an orb to ponder (I already have a lantern at home, one spherical glowing light fixture is enough unless I move into a bigger place). I even got the duvet cover I went there for and nothing else!
(imagine how immense my willpower must be in the face of these, for 499元 🙀)
Tumblr media
When I finally got out it was rush hour and thus time to squish into the MRT like sardines. I have lived here long enough to have no qualms about moving people who will not move themselves. No more timid 不好意思 from this 外國人, it is time to 讓開! (Perhaps I give myself more credit than I'm due in terms of audacity, as more often than not the wave of humanity entering the train car behind me would propel me forward one way or another, I've simply learned to proactively embrace that inevitability.)
I've been feeling unexpectedly resilient regarding going out and doing things lately, although it may be because in going out I'm procrastinating on what I should be doing at home (although I am still thinking about it and making notes while walking around). In this way being outside feels more like a break instead of a torment 🤔 We'll see how long it lasts, but I might as well enjoy it.

Travel Blog: Leipziger Buchmesse Friday
Timcampy's Adventures, meeting Friends & Religious Gold
Day two of the Bookfair. Today I was about to wear the new variant of the Runaway Outfit again, which I had made for the Polaris back last year AND the new Innocence I just made one week before the con.
Day two started very early for me ... I woke up at 3 in the morning and with a cat using me as trampoline and the overstimulation from the day before I was alerted by everything.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
But I wanted to cosplay still. And even work with Make up again. I am super unskilled with Make up for Cosplay because aside the curse I haven't used any since my teens and just started doing it in ... October. I have learned quite a bit since then like switching to a different type of make up that doesn't need 5 days to be scrubbed off, that's better for my already sensitive eyes.
I also snapped off one of the nails from the Innocence and learned I need ... assisstance when visiting the bathroom while wearing it. oof.
Tumblr media
I'm thankful I was not the driver for this day and just was able to chill for once after being stuck in traffic the evening before.
This time we actually started with taking different photos before the hall got too full, we even made a small video.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
For the fair itself the section for comics/manga had started as a part of the fantasy and children's section ages ago and 10 years ago it got its own hall and even was expanded last year to 1 1/2 halls. Hall 1 was mainly artists this time with a HUGE department for artists and several rows of an artists alley along with some merchants. The half of Hall 3 was different publishers like Crunchyroll, Tokyopop, Nintendo and bigger merchants or even other conventions.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I have to say my feeling of hunger was not existent that day but I felt my eyes were getting worse, I even had to put on my glasses for a while, hoping it would be better. Was truly motivated me was that the german DVD/Blu Ray Publisher of D.Gray-man still recognized me and asked me to return with the 1st Uniform to take Photos for promoting the series on their Instagram and I was just .. wow. Still can't believe they asked me.
Tumblr media
While we wandered the glass hall several times for finding my DGM Mutuals we decided to give the other sections a visit as Alu had a mission and as we walked through the religious section one vendor gave us a little bible book and ... "real gold" ... uhm.. Mister you know I'm running away from the church yes? :'D
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
After that we went to one of the big book shops and of course I had to look up some cook books. My guilty pleasure. But this time I didn't end up buying a ton, I only got one.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Back in the glass hall I was finally able to locate my DGM Mutuals and we made a pile of Tims as you can see. Haha. I'm so glad I am brave enough to talk to people again, it was an issue in the past that I just shyly crossed their ways and wished they would notice me, but nope, not this time. I also walked to other cosplayers and told them I love their costumes. Just to brighten up their day.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
A few more impressions from the location itself. If you look closely you can spot the D.Gray-man Nendos of Allen, Kanda and Lavi. Oh and I finally got a pocket watch again! Mainly for my past!Allen Cosplay if I will wear it again, the owl reminds me of the bookshop emblem we see in chapter 249.
Tumblr media
As we later sat down in the glass hall, we got myself a snack for photos and put aside our stuff and I didn't notice but a friend of a friend took Timcampy and played around with him. Until they complained that parts weren't made to their liking and that was the point I was close to snapping. I can tell my was over everything already with the little sleep I had, my eyes acting up, running around all day long already.
I tried to get lost while we went on another window shopping trip and actually bought a Ramen and an Udon bowl. Just to drop the bag 2 minutes after buying. Then I only had a Ramen bowl and a pile of shards. All went downhill then I didn't want to talk, I didn't want a hug, I sat down and tried not to have a panic-mental-breakdown-whatever. I even went out into the rain just to RUN to get the steam off. I went to my friend Julia who luckily involved me into small talk that calmed me down. But the day was ruined. I returned to my friends but some of theirs popped up and started a conversation, usually they are very lovely and I like them but I just couldn't listen to someone talking anymore. I left them to just walk around.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
It was late already and it had started pouring, for now I decided just to stare at the rain running down the glass.
Tumblr media
My friends wanted to calm me down, hug me, but I declined. I didn't want to talk. We went back to Schu's place, I had dinner and went to bed, rolling myself into a blanket like a burrito.

Supernova 2023 Day 2 Report!
Tumblr media
I had the opportunity to go to Supernova 2023 at Adelaide where on Day 2, I spent some time walking around and buying many things!
It was a big convention filled with so many people and cosplayers from all sorts of media!
I went with my good friend Pie (@piedivide) who you will see throughout the report! Thank you for the fun weekend!
Here is Day 1's report.
The report is below the cut!
Day 2
This time, I wasn't in cosplay. It was nice not needing to worry about dressing up and making sure everything looks good. I could sleep in a bit more too!
Although I slept rather late that night admittingly because I spent a while recording many random Tiktoks that I've been publishing slowly lol
I wanted to record some videos while still in cosplay. This was the only time I had and so, through the sheer power of my will, I made like 30 random videos before my eyes had enough and I took my cosplay off.
Feel free to follow my Tiktok below if you want to see them!
Tumblr media
Anyway, I headed back into the city and met up with Pie! We headed straight to the convention this time around.
Once we got there, we saw an amazing Dan Heng cosplayer! Pie was the one who spotted them sitting, and he gave a complement to them as we walked by.
It was strange that they were leaving already since it was only around 11:30am. The convention was just beginning.
But Pie did say it was fitting for Dan Heng to do so, go in and then leave once he got all the data he needed lol
Once we were there, they let us go through this special gate for people who already had wristbands. I felt like an VIP member haha
Tumblr media
We beelined to the food stands again, since Pie was hungry and I could go for some food lol
We bought pretzels again, but this time I got this one with Nutella all over it, and Pie got a Cookies and Cream pretzel.
We had savory on Day 1, so Day 2 was sweet!
It was an absolute mess to eat it though, I had Nutella all over my hands and even it got on my glasses somehow???? I had to go straight to the bathroom after to wash off the sheer amounts of Nutella on my hands lol
It was good though.
We also got slushies, where mine was raspberry and Pie's was grape! It was pretty nice.
Although I did sort of regret buying it because my hands were so numb for the longest time and it stained my teeth and I couldn't even drink it all ;;
Pie's slushie looked like the Grimace Shake to which I informed him of that fact and I told him good luck lol
It was spending time!
We walked around at first, looking around at what Day 2 had to offer before going to the one artist stand I mentioned back in Day 1's report.
I first bought this beautiful Dan Heng IL print. That was all I wanted to buy initially, but then I saw a beautiful Navia print so I went back and bought that one too lol
Pie got Gojo Satoru, Neuvillette, and Ina prints! They're so cool!
We went back to the book stand we were at in Day 1 and we each got some more manga because yes. I got Komi Can't Communicate Volume 2 and Heart Gear Volume 1.
For Heart Gear, I picked it up and read through like half the book and then decided I would buy it since I liked it lol
Pie got Pokemon Adventures Volume 1, JJK Volume 0, and Hunter x Hunter Volume 11 and 12.
Manga.
After this, we did our tradition of buying each other exactly one print!
We went our separate ways and agreed on a spot to meet up afterwards.
I thought I was sure on which print I wanted to buy Pie, but I soon found I was very wrong lmao.
I walked around the Artist Alley, considering my choices until a beautiful Leafeon print caught my eye.
Pie earlier bought a Eeveelution pen blind box and got Leafeon, so I thought it was rather fitting!
I bought it without a second thought and headed back to our meetup spot. Pie wasn't there yet, so I walked a bit around the area so I wasn't standing there weirdly since I wasn't sure how long Pie was going to take.
I came back and there Pie was!
We sat down nearby and exchanged our prints! Pie got me this super cool Kureiji Ollie print that I absolutely love! So vibrant and colourful!
Thank you Pieeeee.
Tumblr media
On Day 2, Nikola Ðuričko was having a Q&A session! He's a Serbian actor my mum really likes, and so I wanted to get a photo of him for her!
Just to prove he's real and we saw him lol
Originally, we thought the Q&A was at one the small stages the convention had set up.
So we sat down and waited, only to find out that the Q&A was not happening at the stage aha
There was a panel with these two writers instead who were talking about their book and various techniques surrounding writing, which was pretty interesting to me as a writer myself lol
We left after a bit, and looked around for this actor.
We found him at the end standing at his table interestingly, it didn't look like any Q&As were going on.
It was rather confusing, but I accepted it as it was.
At least we think we did find this actor, we weren't sure if it was him or not lol
I took a picture from afar anyway, if it wasn’t I could tell my mum it was him either way lol
We checked the photo after and compared the guy we took a picture of to the picture of the actor on the wall and it was actually him!
Yay! That was that done.
The last thing we did at the convention was buy a sword! Well, Pie bought a sword! The Lion's Roar we held from Day 1.
The person who sold the sword gave some nice advice about Genshin that I listened to rather interestingly lol
Apparently the Lion's Roar is pretty good for Xingqiu, but everyone uses the Sacrificial Sword.
And they were right actually, in the newest event for Genshin, the Xingqiu you can use in one of the trials has the Sacrificial Sword lmao
Here's my haul of everything I got!
Tumblr media
Do you see how pretty all these prints are????
Although now I have to take down all my prints I currently have and rearrange everything to fit on my wall lol
With that, we were pretty much done with the convention.
We saw everything we wanted to see, and bought everything we wanted to have too. On Day 1, we decided that we weren’t going to stay the whole time.
In hindsight, we probably didn't have to go both days.
Once you sort of see everything, it gets sort of boring?
Like there's nothing else to do aside from walking around or playing any of the games, which all spots are usually taken.
But it was still worth going since we now had the rest of the day too!
After we left the convention, we headed back into the city!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
We had some time to kill before the Karaoke place opened at 6pm, so we went to try Ramen! It was something we've always wanted to try, and we finally had our chance!
The place we were initially planning on going to was actually closed, which we didn't know until we got there lol
It was okay, since I saw another Ramen place back the way we came from! Problem solved.
It was a proper izakaya! It was my first time going to one, and it was very pretty inside.
Once we both sat down, we had to decide what we were going to get. It took us a while to decide since we're rather indecisive haha, I remember just staring at the menu going "uh...." lmao
We had to eat with chopsticks. I had war flashbacks to AVCon and the struggle I had with them lmao
But in the end, I got a signature tonkotsu, pork ramen!
Pie got a tori shoyu, chicken ramen!
We also got some really refreshing drinks that were really worth getting, a lemon and lime bitters and a peach ice tea!
With a side of Takoyaki too!
I wasn't initially going to have any drinks since I already had two bottles of water I should have really drink, but the izakaya had this meal deal where it's cheaper if you get a drink as well.
So I went for the peach ice tea, which was so good!
The ramen was so filling, I couldn't eat all of mine. It was good though! The Japanese eat good like wow.
There was so much noodle! I think I nearly choked at one point aha
But I did get better at using chopsticks at the end, so yay!
I couldn't even eat the Takoyaki aha
I had one and then me being me had my bowl taken away with my chopsticks so I couldn't even eat the rest of it (not that I wanted to anyway, too full from ramen).
I want to go again someday!
Since we still had time to kill, we went to the library and a bookstore, where we instantly beelined to the manga section lol
I was surprised I didn’t want to borrow any manga this time around.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
We loitered around the entrance to the Karaoke place.
While we waited, we read Komi Can't Communicate Volume 2 together (or it was me reading and commenting on things and Pie trying to keep up with my reading speed lol).
Once 6pm came around, we were back in the building!
We were put in the same room we were in from Day 1 again actually, which was such a coincidence! We did two hours this time!
We both made a list of songs we wanted to do, so it made things a lot easier.
Of course, we did 光るなら to redeem ourselves from how rudely we were shut off on Day 1 lol
I won't list all the songs but:
I did Sparks by Takanashi Kiara, Livin' La Vida Loca by Ricky Martin, Dragostea Din Tei by O-Zone (I love this song to bits), Diamond City Lights by LazuLight from Nijisanji EN (I knew the chant section by heart, of course), and Five Nights at Freddy's by The Living Tombstone (har har har)!
Pie did Kick Back by Kenshi Yonezu, end of a life (Calliope Mori), and Unravel by TK and Kyoran Hey Kids by The Oral Cigarettes!
For some of the songs Pie did, I was vocal backup lol
It was loads of fun! I definitely felt more confident singing this time around.
My dad actually called me in the middle of Pie singing randomly lol
Our two hours was up rather quickly, and we headed back to the train station.
This ended our weekend on a high note!
Tumblr media
All in all, I had so much fun!
I never thought I would have the chance to go to one convention, let alone two this year! Especially cosplay! (●´ω`●)
All of these things were a sort of pipe dream for me until this year.
I kept saying I'll do it one day, but when was that day going to come?
Would I have to wait years?
I probably wouldn't even do it at that point.
All my other friends aren't as into anime and all this stuff like me. They know of it but they're not super crazy invested into it as I am.
I could ask them to, and they probably would go if I asked, yet I feel like they wouldn't enjoy as much as I would?
And so, I just never thought the day would come. I would watch others go but never go myself. A bit sad actually if I think about it lol
But I'm glad to say I did! I did manage to go to a convention! I did manage to cosplay!
You did it, past Miku!
Thank you Pie, I'm grateful that we could cosplay and go together! I won't forget this weekend! ♪(๑ᴖ◡ᴖ๑)♪
I'm planning on cosplaying and going to more conventions! I have a whole list of characters I want to cosplay that I hope I can complete one day.
We have a lot of plans for next year, so keep an eye out hehe.
I'm going to go into study mode so I can do better makeup and wig styling! One day, I’ll be like those impressive cosplayers!
Thank you for reading Day 2's report! I hope you enjoyed hearing about my experiences. ٩( ᐛ )و

LEGENDS CON RETROSPECTIVE
COSPLAY THOUGHTS
I suffer from specialist little boy syndrome. every local con i've gone to, i've been the only mara jade. HOWEVER. i knew that there would be multiple maras at legends con. and i was right
when i saw barbara hambly was going to speak at legends con, i knew i was going to have to cosplay callista. because i suffer from specialist little boy syndrome.
this is my own interpretation of callista, based on a combination of several official art pieces that i just didn't vibe with tbh. i do what i want
BUT in retrospect. if i ever decide to work with this type of vinyl again. please shoot me
anyway. a few people recognized me. i probably shouldve asked for a photo with barbara hambly but i chickened out.
i'm glad fandom is starting to reevaluate callista. because the misogyny present in some of those older fics? woof
also: new definition of hell unlocked: sitting trapped in a lightsaber sales pitch while your wig cap crawls up your head underneath your wig and you have to sit there nodding politely while trapped in a sensory nightmare
CONVENTION THOUGHTS
pretty tight. lotta good panels
got the unofficial guide book for dark horse star wars writers. some stuff thats applicable to fic some stuff not. vv funny to see how many of its rules the new canon violates tho
also some panels that were actually sales pitches
also some panels that couldve used some audience q&a rather than just prepared questions, but who knows what guests stipulate
i recognize that with every con there will always be some panel overlap, but the 15 minute overlap specifically felt a little harsh. day-of it wasn't as much of an issue bc of last-minute reschedulings
artist alley was a little bare, but it was a first con, things can only go up from here. shocking the places that supernatural merch can creep into tho
SOCIALIZATION THOUGHTS
i shouldve come out of my shell more. or cajoled a friend into making the thousand-mile drive with me.
i might have made more friends if i had gone to cantina night but i don't drink so idk what the vibe wouldve been
i did end up meeting a tumblr mutual for breakfast in burbank proper and that was fun
to make up for not making friends day of i have been following everyone whos posted in the legends con tag. from my main which has a cring url so who knows if they know i was there
HOTEL THOUGHTS
i wish i had checked out the hot tub but i didnt see the sign for where it was until i was checking out. i thought the only pool was outdoors and (see photos above) me and outdoor pools don't mix well
this is a very white trash and/or dean-coded thing to say but every hotel room should come with both continental breakfast AND a microwave
staff were vv nice but also i did feel silly walking around in my costume in the fancy lobby during an actual like. work convention
CONCLUSION
one of the organizers informally speculated that the next legends con might not be until spring/summer 2025. if thats the case, good, bc it means my body will have forgotten what it was like driving from green river utah to burbank in one day (do not recommend)

anyway, a big recap of my victoria bc trip
got up at 6:50 am ish and then headed out at 7:20 took the train and bus to the ferry terminal and then headed to victoria yay, lined up for a a breakfast meal for the ~experience~ and that pretty much took up most of the time. Arrived and took the bus to the royal bc museum, almost missed my bus due to it being full but someone pointed to the huge line to go take the other bus, got lucky there.
The Royal BC Museum was cool, though there wasn't much to it cause there were no feature exhibit at that time and one part of the museum was under reno, but it was still fun nonetheless!! I didn't realize how dark it was so honestly I was a lil spooked at times esp cause I was alone haha. Since it was a very nice day I went down to the Fisherman's Wharf cause I wouldn't have time on saturday and i heard the weather wasn't gonna be good on sunday. Most of the shops were closed for the season LMAOO so there wasn't much to see, but thankfully there was 1 fish n chips shop open and i bought some yum yum, it was very filling. Walked back to downtown and went through the Miniature World museum and it was super cute!!! It was also a lil spoopy for parts of it cause there were portions of it where it was dark and there weren't many people going through it.
Headed to the airbnb around 5 ish, and then chilled for a bit. Was wanting to order dinner but the place I wanted to order to was too busy at that time to take in takeout orders so i had to schedule it at 8 sobs but thats okay cause i was still full from the fish n chips, so i just chilled and tried to nap. The dinner was kinda mid ngl, wish i got the lasagna but i was like "but i can get lasagna anywhere else" it was okay but still LOL. also splurged and bought a cheesecake as well, that was pretty good though. couldn't finish it so i saved half of it for tomorrow's dinner.
The next day was con day!! I was supposed to go to a brunch place but i slept in a little and then when i got there, the line was pretty long and i didnt want to wait so im like eh okay nvm ima just go back home and eat the breadsticks i didn't eat yesterday LOL as well as the creme brulee given by the airbnb host they're so nice. And then I made my way to the con and omg it was a lot of walking lol. Got in and hung around mainly in the artist alley!! I was supposed to go watch the cosplay contest but i lost track of time and missed it LMAO OOPS. I spent waaay more than I thought I would, but very happy with my purchases and wish i bought more haha but my backpack literally would have no room for it. I spent the remaining time at my friends table til like 6:30 and made a new friend that was tabling with her, she was super kind and fun
Got home and picked up dinner on the way, ordered a mixed kebab meal set and it was so good and the portion was huge, very worth it and very delicious. Spent the rest of the night eating and showering and watching youtube and packed a little bit before leaving tomorrow.
Woke up the next day, final day, it was damn pouring in the morning sadly, so I just stayed in the airbnb until 10:50 and then made my way to explore the Chinatown (which I found out is the second oldest Chinatown in North America???? damn). Went to the little Chinatown museum and saw some cool stuff and then walked around the area and the shops nearby. Went to Boardwalk Burgers and chilled until it was time to catch the bus to the ferry.
I arrived hella early cause if I didn't take the bus I took, i would have been late to my ferry;;; BUT MY FERRY GOT DELAYED. So I just spent a lot of time sitting at the waiting area playing my 3DS LOL Made some progress in AA5 again finally, i haven't played it in sooo long ( i really should finish it, as well as spirit of justice, and i still have the great chronicles to play;;) Got on the ferry and played some more AA5 and holy cow the line for the cafeteria was so long im glad i didn't decide to eat dinner there cause I was originally gonna but thank god i didnt. Napped a lil before arriving at the bay aaaand then went home :)
Overall, very nice trip!! Even though I was alone, I had a blast exploring and seeing things and got to take my time to explore shops and whatever I wanted. I had no budget planned going into this and I probably should have cause I spent... quite a lot, but oop.

So con was fun, I made a bit over $900 which... the fuck 😲 I'll find out next month how much of that I have to pay in business taxes (sure would be nice to see any of that go to what it's supposed to 🙂) but it's still a good amount.
Met some nice people, saw some friends, took pics of every Wei Wuxian cosplayer I could grab (sadly just three, the two others I saw were too fast 😭), mom found a Lan Wangji for me because she occasionally remembers my obsessions that I never shut up about, and I even got an unexpected Huaisang. There were some really cool cosplays, people are really getting more and more creative with it. I'm not sure what show or game or whatever has a lot of mushrooms in it, but there were a lot of mushrooms walking around and it made my little mushroom-fixating brain happy. XD
I also got some things, because those are the dangers of being in the Artist Alley for the whole weekend. But well
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Look at my stuff! I got the tote and stickers before we left on Saturday and mom surprised me with the drawings yesterday. And also as we were packing everything up last night, one of the girls in the booth in front of us gave us each a sticker, and look how cute this is
Tumblr media
(the placement adjacent to Tribby was completely accidental and I'm still giggling about it XD)
I am exhausted and I still have inventory and shops updating to look forward to when we get home, but I'm quite happy.

OK WAIT y'all i didn't tell you about some of the highlights of my artist alley time
first of all. yea there were Quite a Few dsmp enjoyers and so my stuff did rather well, so i'm very glad about that haha, it was so endearing when you could See some of their faces light up when they saw my table....<33
but there were a few different types of buyers. there was the Shy one. you could see they wanted to get stuff but sometimes it took them circling back a few times to actually buy anything. very cute tbh. there was this one girl who was with a friend, though, and the friend wasn't a dsmp fan but they knew about it because their friend really liked it, so the moment they got to my table she went "omg it's dsmp!! the thing u like!! what do you wanna get?? i'm paying" and the girl was so bashful and hesitant but with her friend's encouragement she ended up getting quite a lot 😭❤️ the friend herself got a print because "i don't watch but damn this looks good" i love them
then there was the Casual buyer. they came, saw what they liked, got it, moved on. my favorite example was this goth dude who, completely wordlessly, got out his wallet, pointed at a fox fundy sticker, we exchanged the goods, and moved on. pleasure doing business with you sir
there was also the Clueless buyer. they didn't look like they knew it was dsmp stuff but they just found some of my designs cute. bless them
and my favorite one, the Confident one. oh fellas...... listen, whenever a guy or a group of guys walked by, i always got a bit nervous because, yk, it's not uncommon for them to be Rude. however!! there were some who were absolutely lovely, which always got me super excited. my absolute favorite example - this one guy in an ace attorney cosplay, my age, very fuckin cute, strode up to my table, eyes sparkling, and said "give me everything you have with dream" and FELLAS when i say love at first sight..... we talked some too, he expressed how he'd been searching for a table like this and he'd been getting a bit down cause he couldn't find much and how cool my stuff was, and i swear when i say i was swirling my hair and kicking my feet... yes this is why i'm HERE, and also i love you forreal....... such an absolute sweetheart.....
ok but there was another person who wasn't a fan or bought anything but absolutely made my day. they came up, said "i've been seeing these really cool cosplays but i have no idea what this fandom is about, so could you maybe tell me about it?" and i just went "😳🤩🥰😍GIRL.... I GOT YOU"
so i proceeded to spend the next 15 mins trying my best to explain what the fuck the dsmp is and what it's about lollll, a sure way to get me all hyper. and the girl was listening soooo enthusiastically, too, like!!!! she was clueless yet so interested!! at some point there were more people gathered around but idk if they just wanted to listen or thought it was stupid but i didn't care, i was laser-focused on my recap lmao. there was this another girl who kinda interrupted me and went "why do you sound so excited?" which uhh lol? but before i could respond, the one i was talking to turned to her and said "because it's exciting! it sounds so crazy!" like....i love you....wtf.......
it ended w her saying she'll try to look into it so no more spoilers and i just shoved my card to her, like "follow me talk to me you'd need a guide" anyways fingers crossed she reaches out ahaha
there was actually another table that had dsmp stuff, i just didn't go to any other tables myself cause i was feeling quite ill, but the artist later came to me and got whatever i had with hermitcraft, which, admittedly, wasn't,, a lot, so i'll have to work on that haha, but she was sooo sweet and her bad cosplay was so good....very lovely gal
anyways irl dsmp fans ily keep it up

real question, looking for advice if anyone's got any, asking for jobs advice. been unemployed for over a year now . (not straight thru, had a few lucky months at a bowling alley)
under a readmore for dashboard courtesy. it got long and yeah im pissed about the situation. bitching here and there, especially near the end
&rbs are off, if you have an answer please put it in the replies <3 . please read the whole thing before that though
what's a good way to consistently make at least enough money to help around my house with small bills and groceries (a hundred, two hundred a week maybe?), when im stuck walking and biking everywhere, &my handmedown laptop will threaten to blow up if i try to run anything too powerful
if you suggest me something that sounds like some kind of a scam i will delete it though
& nowhere's hiring around me (i live surrounded by a bunch of schools, they like to hire as many freshman to college aged part timers as possible out here) and when they ARE & ive applied, i get emails back saying someone else had better qualifications or something.
the yardwork, babysitting/dogsitting etc etc scene in my area is dominated by the kids in my area, too. everyone's already got someone doing that stuff, i checked. figure it's because people never pay kids much, i imagine it's the same with the companies around here
and when somehow i do land an interview i make sure i smell nice look nice i sit up straight. etc. i talk as clearly & confidently as possible, got a good firm handshake. and i still manage to flub it.
i'll call twice a week at minimum asking to talk to a manager, to follow up with my interview and get told they'll call me back & i get ghosted. i call em back again and it's always the same shit
trying to sell my art, trying to make myself marketable has always made me queasy, &besides being supremely burnt out right now, i don't have an ounce of artistic consistency in my body. i am NOT in control of how it comes out looking. i considered commissions and like. i'll do it, if anyone's interested. but i'm worried they wouldn't go well
like im gonna keep hunting !!!!!! im not giving up my local search, im not. super fit. im willing to bike around 5miles at this point, even in the TX summer, even at risk of injury. im sick to death of being broke and having nowhere to go and nothing to do.
i don't have anybody "irl" to talk to, either, no friends in my immediate area to ask about this.
no close friends in my immediate area at all, actually. i can count the people i was in school with growing up on one hand. and everyone's moved away to other states besides my girlfriend, & she lives 30mins away & has her own job & shit going on. can't ask her to drive me around all the time
it's all starting to feel hopeless. like, i haven't given up completely, im not JUST complaining about it. i'm still working on finding something
& im lucky enough to have a mom that isn't mad at me or anything. i'm lucky she loves me enough to have put up with this with me for so long. i'm lucky enough to not be life-or-death levels of desperate
(which is why i won't make a donation post unless it's important)
but she doesn't have any advice for me, either. she has hundreds of facebook connections in her industry.
sometimes shit's tight, sometime's the fridge is bare & we apply to food stamps, the lights turn off & my aunts, or one of her friends helps us out. but she keeps a roof over our heads. & she's always got ten to twenty people putting her name in, when she's out of work
but i don't have that. &im hanging onto my last thread here for dear life

In June 2023 I went to the first edition of the summer variant of Dutch Comic Con. They moved it from May to June and it was terrible as it was WAY too hot to function, it was the first time I didn't even go in cosplay. Either way, I always post, so here goes.
I went for a whole weekend with my bestie Eneath, which was fantastic, because we could go by car instead of train. It was a delight. However, the weather was not great.
I do not have a lot to report though; I did not take any photos with other cosplay, also due to being insecure about not being IN cosplay myself. On day 1 I did visit with hobbit vibes in mind, and on day 2 I went more casual than I had ever been at a Comic Con I think? I don't actually remember how I went.
I did take some pics though!
Tumblr media
These are some dice I bought! Tiny dice because they are CUTE as hell, dark glittery dice because they are COOL as hell, and a box of d10s in ace colours (in my opinion) because I thought it was awesome except I did not realize they were just d10s, rofl! All good though, just a bummer as I thought it was a whole set.
Tumblr media
I went absolutely insane with finances this time around though. I bought a fan with my favourite Genshin Impact character on it, literally using the element anemo to cool myself down... a bunch of Digimon stuff that I can build and some TCG, and on my bag you can see a geo vision from Genshin Impact. The vision is actually why I made a new friend at my local grocery store, he recognized it from the game and now we chat on occasion LOL. Also a bottle of mead, sadly apple cinnamon, because they had no cherry cinnamon.
Tumblr media
A bunch of artist alley merch as well. As always, love me some Miraculous Ladybug. I also got two fake Pokémon cards, gorgeous Ninetales, my favourite Pokémon... a sticker of The Last of Us, my favouritest game ever, and some Genshin Impact stickers... now also including Kaveh, another character I really like.
Also... gosh I love this so much, look:
Tumblr media
Ellie and Joel figurines! Also a Kazuha waterprint art below it rofl. I ended up not liking the fanart as much so I kinda forgot I owned it.
And uh, super random but I fucking loved that they introduced an onigiri stand and I am *starts foaming*
Tumblr media
The one on the far right was vegan, the two on the left are tuna. I had to try both, haha.
Last but definitely not least, they had a little Lord of the Rings thingamajig that we visited, where you walked a little bit through the journey. I remember being at the verge of tears somehow because I felt overwhelmed, but I'm a pro at holding in emotions sometimes. Here is the pics I took. Let me test this new feature, if it sucks I will edit the post.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
They should all be clickable for bigger. We'll see.
That is all I have to report on this Comic Con. The next post will be absolutely epicly, because it was a huge staple in my life and it still brings me emotions. Thank you for reading!

ok i finally have a moment to type up about my c2e2 weekend
well it unfortunately started with a run to the DMV so i could get my ID because the site was kind of cryptic saying that everyone needed to have an ID on them at all times which like..... no one got carded but it was definitely needed for all the after hours stuff we did so whatever
and then i rushed to get ready to meet up with my friend rowan that i met through a transmasc fan discord for ofmd he came in for the convention but decided to be a bit early and stay a bit late to do all the typical chicago tourist stuff so i just him and his friends at their hotel and we hung out at the hotel bar
then saturday was the pirate day! i started the day meeting even more of people i met thru ofmd fandom and we did a quick walk around the con before getting into line for the panel so we got good seats (and we got such great seats!) and the panel was actually so good! i usually don't like watching panels and even being an ADHD dude with hyperfixations i usually don't even watch them because the second hand embarrassment is too much but it was just SO much fun! like you can tell they all really love being a part of the show and the fan questions were actually all so good
we had out photos after that and it was intense they really do rush you through those we did our samba photo first and he was so excited he was like "oh yes! knife happy roach! got it!" then we had our picture with kristian who is just the sweetest and then the trio together which was so funny rowan really wanted us to do prom picture so we decided that he was gonna stand with vico, abbi with kristian, ally with samba, and i was gonna stand to the side and pretend to be depressed i was dateless
and we get in and say "prom pose" and i strike my pose and the photographer laughed at me before realizing that vico's partner, who was sitting to the side and watching, was going "NO PROM PROM" because none of the actors really got it lmao so they let us redo it i can only imagine what the first pic looked like lol
and then i had my individual vico photo which was my gift to myself this year and i just walked in and was like "can i have a hug" and they were like "OF COURSE" and just pulled me in and i quickly got to say my planned "i love you thank you so much for jim" and was like backing out and they had honestly been getting yelled at by c2e2 staff for taking too long because they were like "of course by the way i LOVE your hair" and i'm like "omg thank you" as i'm still backing out because the staff are GLARING lol
rowan was on a panel for "found family trope in our flag means death" so we went to that and it was so cute and i teared up tbqh but yeah he gave a shout out like "yeah like most i found so many amazing people through this fandom and i even got to meet a friend from the transmasc discord server i'm in HI NOAH" lol
then we did a quick walk around artist alley because it closed so early we thought we'd have time to do the official meet up first but we knew we wouldn't make it and i am a bit sad i missed it but i got a shorty from killer klowns from outer space plushie and i love him so worth it
saturday night was karaoke then and some of my other friends julie and krys had planned that out and rented a private room that we then chipped in for and so it was all of us just hanging out in a nice sectioned off room and could enjoy ourselves and sing without worrying
and somehow i wasn't hungover and made it to drag brunch where one of our friends was in full kraken era ed cosplay and got pulled up on stage and roasted by the MC and we got kinda drunk again on mimosas but we still made it to the actual con although rowan only had some autos and then his individual vico photo i just kinda hung around i tried to find some more cool stuff but sadly i couldn't find any ofmd stuff really i did get one ed charm but i also got some great patches for my vest which i definitely could always use more patches for my vest
me and rowan had a bit of a quiet evening we ordered some food and watched ofmd (naturally) and then i had to head home because i couldn't really take off work so i went to work half dead and then me and rowan met up again after he had done the rest of his touristy stuff (he went to the bean of course and i ragged on him a bit for that) and we just hung out like lumps until he had to leave for his plane home (and i had to start dnd i know rip me)
i miss everyone so much already and i had such a great time like i only had a couple con experiences and they weren't great but ofmd fandom is honestly so awesome i had such a wonderful time so much so that even though i'm like i'm sad it's over i haven't had a post con depression as it were lol
but yeah i'm so exhausted now and for some reason i'm still making myself try to type up my writing today so now i gotta go do that before i pass out
well it unfortunately started with a run to the DMV so i could get my ID because the site was kind of cryptic saying that everyone needed to have an ID on them at all times which like..... no one got carded but it was definitely needed for all the after hours stuff we did so whatever

and we get in and say "prom pose" and i strike my pose and the photographer laughed at me before realizing that vico's partner, who was sitting to the side and watching, was going "NO PROM PROM" because none of the actors really got it lmao so they let us redo it i can only imagine what the first pic looked like lol
and then i had my individual vico photo which was my gift to myself this year and i just walked in and was like "can i have a hug" and they were like "OF COURSE" and just pulled me in and i quickly got to say my planned "i love you thank you so much for jim" and was like backing out and they had honestly been getting yelled at by c2e2 staff for taking too long because they were like "of course by the way i LOVE your hair" and i'm like "omg thank you" as i'm still backing out because the staff are GLARING lol
rowan was on a panel for "found family trope in our flag means death" so we went to that and it was so cute and i teared up tbqh but yeah he gave a shout out like "yeah like most i found so many amazing people through this fandom and i even got to meet a friend from the transmasc discord server i'm in HI NOAH" lol
then we did a quick walk around artist alley because it closed so early we thought we'd have time to do the official meet up first but we knew we wouldn't make it and i am a bit sad i missed it but i got a shorty from killer klowns from outer space plushie and i love him so worth it
saturday night was karaoke then and some of my other friends julie and krys had planned that out and rented a private room that we then chipped in for and so it was all of us just hanging out in a nice sectioned off room and could enjoy ourselves and sing without worrying
and somehow i wasn't hungover and made it to drag brunch where one of our friends was in full kraken era ed cosplay and got pulled up on stage and roasted by the MC and we got kinda drunk again on mimosas but we still made it to the actual con although rowan only had some autos and then his individual vico photo i just kinda hung around i tried to find some more cool stuff but sadly i couldn't find any ofmd stuff really i did get one ed charm but i also got some great patches for my vest which i definitely could always use more patches for my vest
me and rowan had a bit of a quiet evening we ordered some food and watched ofmd (naturally) and then i had to head home because i couldn't really take off work so i went to work half dead and then me and rowan met up again after he had done the rest of his touristy stuff (he went to the bean of course and i ragged on him a bit for that) and we just hung out like lumps until he had to leave for his plane home (and i had to start dnd i know rip me)
i miss everyone so much already and i had such a great time like i only had a couple con experiences and they weren't great but ofmd fandom is honestly so awesome i had such a wonderful time so much so that even though i'm like i'm sad it's over i haven't had a post con depression as it were lol
but yeah i'm so exhausted now and for some reason i'm still making myself try to type up my writing today so now i gotta go do that before i pass out

SwampCon
Tumblr media
SwampCon is the first convention I have ever been to. Safe to say that I enjoyed it very much. Everything from the hundreds of cosplay artists to the cute maid café was a new experience for me.
I only ever view cosplay artists on social media platforms such as Instagram and YouTube. However, seeing them in front of me in person was AWESOME. I recognized so many of the characters that walked by me, such as ones from Blue Lock, Spy X Family, AOT, etc.. As a closeted weeb, who doesn’t like physically displaying any of my interests in anime outside, it was cool to see how this is a safe space for individuals to express themselves. Even one of my own friends cosplayed as a character from Genshin: Scaramouche (pictured right in the middle of the above photo).
As for what we did throughout the day on Saturday: I met up with everyone outside the Reitz in the morning to take some photos for my friend’s cosplay. After registration, we then went on upstairs to the third floor where the Maid Café was. One of my mentors was serving as a maid too, so I was really excited to see her outfit. Everyone looked SO CUTE. It was actually really fun, and I was surprised to see that they had vegan brownies as an option since I don’t eat eggs due to personal dietary restrictions. Several of the servers also performed during our show, which was super cool. I started screaming internally when I recognized the kpop song they were dancing to: Go Go by BTS.
We then went on the other side of the floor to the two rooms known as Artist Alley. I loved loved loved all the beautiful works of art in there. From keychains, stickers, and buttons to quite expensive prints, everything was extremely colorful. I literally felt like a little child going into a candy store when I walked in. This one artist in particular caught my eye because his prints were absolutely breathtaking: Kawaii Satori (the name on his business card). He had AMAZING prints of all the anime I loved, but I had to hold myself back and not purchase the prints because I have too many up on my walls at home anyways (but that’s why you take the business card, so you can buy them online later haha). There was this other artist, Lalaine Garcia, I fell in love with too. Her keychains were so cute (my favorite was this Gojo one). But I took her card instead of purchasing the keychains because I wanted to look around the vendor hall too before buying anything. (I’m so proud of myself for not spending over $20 total though the entire day).
Tumblr media
The vendor hall was next (also on the same floor). I actually wasn’t too interested in most of the stalls there except this one that sold jewelry, notably cute earrings, which was located right in front of the door that led inside. I did buy some Rengoku earrings from there :) because they were small enough to not be out there, but I was also showing off how much I LOVE demon slayer.
Overall, Saturday was super fun with my friends because we spent most of the day taking photos, admiring art, and joking around about what we saw.
On Sunday, I volunteered for three hours at the info desk outside the Grand Ballroom. It was a much more relaxed day since I just had to pass out shirts and point people into the direction of different panels and events that they were lost on. And then got some perks at the end of my shift, which included stickers, a cup, and a shirt.
Tumblr media
P.S. the art on the badge was so pretty, I wanna know who made it

Travel Blog, Connichi 2023!
Part 1 - Thursday & Friday
As the Connichi moved from Kassel to Wiesbaden it was quite a trip for me, double the travel distance, a city I don't know and lots of stuff to happen.
I decided to write about my trip there for myself to cover some events, give some insights and share the memories. Includes phone snapshots, some sketches for situations I was in aaaand maybe some previews for photoshootings ;>
Thursday: arrival, food, traveling
Friday: First con day, cospay, food, mental health stuff
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Thursday, 31. August 2023
As said I had to travel to Wiesbaden, I went by car. The road on its own was mainly highway but before I got to the highway I got stuck in traffic for almost 1 hour. After 5 hours of traveling alone on bad mental health I arrived in Wiesbaden before my friends did and waited for them
Apparently I looked rather pitiful and was approached by some weirdo who tried to give me candy and cigarettes and was super offended by me telling them off. I'm not used to people trying to prey on me but urgh, that was creepy af.
After my friends arrived I ordered my first Starbucks (it was an almond chai latte) as I didn't have anything to eat aside my breakfast that day.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
We walked around in the city a bit and ended up in the indian restaurant I had researched before and I had some really delicious paneer with Naan bread and a Mango Cheesecake.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
But ... Diamy and I decided to go for "medium" spicy and I underestimated it... I .... cried :'D
We later on found a super cute bakery and @adragonstale and I were totally in awe about the pastries they had.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I'm glad my friends arrived the same day, they really saved my mood.
Friday, 1. September 2023 - First Convention day
As the first day starts later on I decided to get out into the city as past!Allen and put on the Nea wig later on.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
We walked a bit through the city, did some window shopping and I was able to share my wisdom about food and nutrition, I am such a nerd about it. Also sightseeing and just being casual about everything.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
After that we decided to get changed and get into our convention attire.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The con itself... dunno. I was missing a whole bunch of publishers as there was only two bigger ones and 1-2 smaller ones, the other big ones weren't there, the Matsuri was lovelessly showed behind a construction fence, the artist alley was bigger, yes, but badly ventilated on friday that even I - who is freezing all the time - felt like I would be melting on the spot. Merch room was not even tempting for me I rushed through it, the other rooms were.. well... indoor photo shoot corners, workshops and all that. The invited guests all no names to me, therefore I skipped on the program. You didn't even have any anime series or movies airing at the con (which was a usual thing before) you had to leave the con and pay extra if you wanted to see old anime movies. Well. It wasn't my cup of tea aside the fact I think the building has no personality, I don't like those soulless new constructed modern styled bricks of congress halls. Yes you had the option to book photo spots in two older buildings BUT the slots were taken super fast and it was one location on Saturday, the other on the Sunday and .. well.. in Kassel you had a ton of old buildings you could visit. Wiesbaden has some nice spots too but things like the park being full of duck poop, drug addicts and garbage to begin with didn't help much.
During the con I .. somehow spiraled into the the now called "Anxiety Chihuahua" state. I met some D.gray-man cosplayers and was actually recognized as Nea BUT got told there would be a group meeting the day after and that it was for an existing group (not noticing it was ... my ... group ... ) and my head was all like "oh god now WHAT IF" and that made me sweaty, anxious and my mood in the end was horrible. To explain that: in my cosplay past I was part of some groups but in the end was ignored or replaced by people who were thinner or prettier than me, even when we had special outfits and the other cosplayer didn't have those outfits or even when I went to a certain event for that exact group ... it's past wounds. As my mental health was already a bit cracked it was easy for me to snap and get down.
I was super awkward and ran around like crazy, almost yelled at that one group that they were super cool and that i adore their costumes and just loudly said that I am just a fool and will be gone now. On the next day they told me they saw me earlier but I was too fast to approach. Uhm, yeah. Hyper anxiety clown here. Of course I didn't take much photos with any Cosplayers as I was too nervous which didn't help as I wanted some memories of course.
Tumblr media
In the end it got that bad that as we went out for food that day I just stood there "I don't want any, I hate everything"; but I had 30k steps done and just a few snacks therefore... I needed something. Too little food and water makes the brain sad too and I think that added to my anxiety getting worse.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
In the end we stopped at a small thai restaurant and my friends had to order for me as I totally refused everything. I knew it was my health being bad and I told them "just order a thing, I will pay. Just no bread". And @adragonstale got me tofu curry with rice (instead of bread) it was warm comforting food. Thank you again. I felt really better after that.
Even that much better that we did some photos of me as Nea!
Tumblr media
And we discovered Wiesbaden has a wild population of parrots, they nearly flew into my face while we took pics.
I went back to my car after that and arrived in time for the Matsuri fireworks.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I was super beat that day after two quite exhausting days and hoped the main day would be better as the two prior. It was about time to debut Allen, and to face my fear with the group meeting and my past cosplay trauma.
Tumblr media
Lil concluding car selfie aka what if Nea would steal Allen's glasses.

tattoo artist sukuna
Tumblr media
I am way overdo to get my sleeve finished and I’m already itching to get a full back piece, so this is right up my alley. Gender neutral reader, and if you’d like to see the tattoo style i reference please go to @/novchild.jpg on instagram :)
It was a spur of the moment decision that led you to drive downtown with your friends at nearly midnight, drunk off each other's energy and eager to do something reckless. Speeding down the motorway, you scrolled through Instagram in search of a tattoo artist.
“Are you guys sure about this?” Your nerves had finally caught up to you as the car was parked in front of the studio you all chose. It was a typical brick and mortar building with a large skull painted on the only window to the outside world. There were a few bald men smoking cigarettes right outside the door, scrawling ink covering their exposed hands and faces.
“Yeah, c’mon!” No one waited for you, everyone climbing out of the car in excitement. Slowly, you got out of the car as well, head down as you walked past the men and into the shop.
Loud, blaring metal music met your ears, jarring you upright and tense. There wasn’t anyone you could see at the front desk, the only workers were huddled in a back corner leaning over something and laughing.
“Which one should I get?” Your attention was drawn away from the men in the corner and to the art hanging on the wall, all different flash sheets from various artists. Some were more gory, clearly drawing inspiration from horror movies while other pieces were bright and colorful, like bubblegum pop come to life.
“Hey.” A gruff voice cut through the loud music, and a man was now leaning against the front desk, spiky black hair in a ponytail with a bored look on his face and several piercings in both ears. He was clearly sizing you up, the black bar going across his nose moving as he did.
Unprepared to speak to him, you were happy when someone else stepped in and started chatting about prices. The man at the counter had on a hoodie with the sleeves rolled up, exposing one full arm and hand that was completely blacked out.
“Choso, any customers?” Another shouted, a man wide in stature with long hair. He sauntered up to the counter, tight black t-shirt showing off the traditional Japanese work covering every inch of skin.
“Getou, can’t you see?” Choso rolled his eyes and gestured to your little group.
“I can’t make conversation?” Pulling a face at Choso, Getou leaned his elbows on the counter and flashed a wide grin at all of you. “So, who’s the first to get some ink?” His narrowed eyes looked over your bare skin and you could see the wheels turning in his head.
“I am! I want that one!” One of your friends pointed at the wall, making Getou hum and nod.
“That’s Gojo’s work, he loves to draw the cute shit. I’ll call him over.” As a white haired man walked over at Geto’s call, one by one your friends made their decisions and were paired with artists.
“What did you choose, (Y/N)?” A friend asked, seeing you still stuck staring at the wall.
“I don’t know!” Throwing your head back, you were beginning to regret even tagging along. There were simply too many options and the task of picking something was daunting.
“Having a hard time choosing?” A flash of white crosses your vision and soon Gojo is leaning down into your field of vision, piercing blue eyes staring at you curiously.
“U-uh yeah.” Stumbling back from how close his face is, you realize how tall he is when he stands up straight, hands shoved into his pockets.
“Me and another guy just got done making a new flash sheet, lemme show you.” It takes him only a couple seconds to go back to his station and come back with a piece of thick paper with drawings on it.
Taking the paper, the drawings were unexpectedly cute. A lot of them looked like rough sketches or crayon drawings, simple in concept but intricate in detail.
“I’ll take this one.” Pointing at a mid-sized crayon drawing, your mouth ticked up in a smile as Gojo took the paper from you with sparkling eyes.
“That one is so cute, good choice! One sec!” Tossing the paper down, he dashes away shouting nonsensical words towards the back of the shop where they’d all been huddled up. “Sukuna! Someones here for ya!”
Rising straight up from a chair with a loud groan, a shirtless pink haired man glared sharply at Gojo. Even from a distance you can see the sharp black lines tattooed across his face and down his body, circles on each shoulder, dashed lines across his chest down his stomach and around his wrists as well.
“Geez you can really yell, you know that?” Running a hand through his hair roughly, Sukuna stands up, flexing his muscles and unknowingly giving the whole shop a show of his chiseled physique.
“There’s a client here to get a piece we made together earlier.” Shoving the paper in his face, Gojo points to the piece you selected. Sukuna mumbles a few words and sets his eyes on you, walking over with a swagger that makes you nervous.
“Alright, where do you want it?” Leaning close to you, Sukuna quirks a brow.
“I don’t know.” You sigh softly, looking down at your arms and legs. “I don’t-”
“Your arm, right here.” Grabbing onto your arm, Sukuna turns it outward to expose the flesh of your inner arm. “It would look good right here, about the size of my palm.”
“O-oh okay.” Nodding quickly, your face is burning when he lets go. His touch still lingered on your skin, the edge of his black painted fingernails digging in briefly as they squeezed you.
“I’ll be ready in ten minutes, go sign the paperwork.” Sukuna speaks with his back to you, already walking to the station he had been sleeping at and setting up. Rushing to fill in the proper papers, you wait nervously at the front of the shop for your turn.
The rest of your friends are already getting started, the whir of the tattoo machines adding to the ambience of the shop. With a wave Sukuna calls you over to his corner, still shirtless with a pair of gloves on.
“Hold out your arm.” Grabbing you once again, Sukuna angles your arm in front of a mirror by the table. Rubbing ointment on your skin, he sticks the stencil on and rubs firmly, making you squirm from the tickle of his hand getting close to your armpit.
“What do you think?” Stepping to the side, he looks at you in the mirror. “Little to the left? Right?”
“No, it’s perfect.” The longer you look at it, the longer you love it. Giving you a pat on the shoulder, Sukuna led you to the table, having you lay down and stick your arm out.
“This your first one, I can tell.” He said, adjusting your body how he seemed fit and rubbing more ointment on you.
“It’s that obvious?”
“Oh yeah, only a first timer would get something like this from me.” A cocky grin spread across his face and he gestured to the wall behind your head, covered in realistic black and white portraits. “This is normally my speciality.”
“You drew yourself?” Pointing up at one of the pictures that looked exactly like him minus the face tattoos, you chuckled.
“Nah, that’s my twin.” Your brows rose in surprise and you looked between Sukuna and the picture.
“Does he have-?” You waved over your face and body.
“He’s too scared to get a tattoo, says he’ll get ink poisoning and die.” Sukuna laughed, pouring out the various colored ink into little cups. “Won’t even let me do a tiny dot on him!”
“Safe to say you two are pretty different then.” You found yourself laughing a little as well, eased at Sukunas laid back nature.
“Mhmm, he’s busy going on the straight and narrow while I’m here ‘ruining my body’ as our grandpa likes to say.” Flashing quick air quotes, Sukuna revs up the machine and fiddles with the buttons. “Alright, you ready for this? Won’t have virgin skin anymore after this.”
“Yes!” Clenching and unclenching your fist, you pushed a deep breath through your mouth.
“If you start to cry, I won’t stop. And if you pass out, I’ll just wake you up.” That was his final warning before he leaned forward, using one large gloved hand to spread the skin of your arm taut.
The first prick of the needle against your skin made you jolt, sucking in a sharp breath and making your eyes fly open. Sukuna snorted, wiped your arm with a towel and kept going. Honing in on the marks and exposed pipes in the ceiling, you tried not to twitch from the needle anymore.
“You’re doing pretty well.” Sukuna mumbled, briefly sitting up and dipping in for more ink.
“Really?” Taking a look at the tattoo, you were surprised to see only one line had been done. It felt like at least three were placed into you.
“Yeah, don’t screw it up.” Sticking his tongue out at you, Sukuna went back to work. Transfixed on watching him, you saw the lines go into your skin, overflowing with ink and being wiped away repeatedly. You were also watching the way Sukuna’s arms flexed, the muscles in his body all on display right in front of you.
“Tell me about yourself while you stare at me.” Sukuna said, not looking up from your arm. Immediately, your head whipped away from him and a deep burn ran over your face. Sukuna laughed at your embarrassment, patting your arm with the paper towel a few times.
“Sorry.”
“It’s okay, you’re not the first one to do it.” That didn’t make it any better. Slapping a hand over your face, you let out an unintelligible noise from the back of your throat.
“Just great.”
“It’s okay to say you have a crush on me, a lot of people that come to the shop do.”
“Sukuna!” Laughing through the shame, you glanced over at him.
“Hey, it’s the truth.” He shrugged nonchalantly.
“Well can you blame them when you’re built like that?” Feeling emboldened by the late night hour, you took a rather obvious look at Sukuna’s body. With only a pair of sweatpants on, you could see nearly all the tattoos he had.
“Aw thanks doll, I work out.” Sukuna shot a wink at you, briefly flexing both arms and making you blush again. “But enough about me, what about you? What made you come here so late at night?”
“My friends and I wanted to do something spontaneous.” Returning your gaze to the ceiling, the ache from the tattoo gun was beginning to settle into your skin. “And what better way to be spontaneous than to get a tattoo?”
“Ha, I hear that.”
“Why’d you get the ones on your face and stuff?”
“Thought they’d make me look cool, and I was right.” Giggling at his honesty, you quickly nodded in agreement.
“The ones on your face, did they hurt really bad?”
“The ones near my eyes yeah, those hurt the most. But thankfully Choso has a steady hand, so it didn’t last too long.”
Absentmindedly, you ran your fingers over your own face, drawing along the edge of your jaw and eye socket. There was no way you could get your face tattooed as heavily as Sukuna had, if at all ever. You had only just now gotten used to the pain of the needle on your arm and you were still twitching every so often.
“How’re you holding up so far?” Sukuna whispers close to your ear ten quiet minutes later. He’s completely focused on tattooing you yet his face is close enough that if you leaned up a little, you could graze his hair with your nose.
“Fine.” You whisper back, suddenly feeling awkward with the low tone of his voice.
“That’s good doll, real good.” His voice dropped even lower, overcompensating for the song ending over the stereo speakers. Trying not to stare at his serious expression, you look over at the other stations. Gojo is chatting up your friend excitedly, and there’s a number of colorful inks laid out before him. Choso and Geto are hard at work as well, with Choso pointedly not speaking, and a blonde man you’d noticed drinking a large mug of black coffee earlier with his button up sleeve rolled up to reveal two dragons on his forearms.
Just as the pain in your arm was starting to truly burn, the tattoo was over. Sukuna washed it down gently, patting your arm and humming to the song playing. Sitting up with a short grunt, he flicked his head to the mirror.
“Go ahead and take a look.”
Sliding slowly off the table, you held your arm out awkwardly and stood in front of the mirror. Your arm was slightly swollen and stinging, shoulder stiff from being in the same position for so long, but a smile spread on your cheeks.
“I love it.” It looked exactly like the picture: a crayon style drawing of a brown haired girl in a giant green frog, a big pout on her lips while the frog sat on a lily pad.
“Lemme snap a couple quick photos before I wrap you up.” Already with his phone out, Sukuna was quick at taking pictures, posing you like when he’d put the stencil on. “I’ll run down the aftercare stuff with you, also give you a card in case you forget any of it.”
You didn’t hear a thing he said about aftercare. Standing nearly chest to chest with Sukuna while he rubbed ointment on your skin and wrapped your tattoo up, the way his arms nearly wrapped around you to put the cover on, the gentle touch of his fingers pressing medical tape to your skin, even the way he was breathing softly and looking at you - it all had you distracted.
“Alright, you’re all done.” Sukuna patted your arm, breaking you from your trance.
“Thank you so much!” Looking down at your tightly bandaged arm, you could feel the intense heat radiating out of it. You quickly snapped your own picture of the bandage as Sukuna dug around in a drawer.
“And since I could tell you were zoning the fuck out just now, I wrote my number down on the aftercare sheet, so text me if you have any questions.” Holding the paper out to you, Sukuna had indeed scribbled his phone number on the paper in thick black marker.
“Can I really just text you?” Taking the paper hesitantly, you fiddled with it in your hands.
“Of course! I want your tattoo to heal well!” Sukuna nodded, throwing his arms out dramatically. Waiting for you to gather your stuff, he walked you to the front of the shop. “Text me anytime doll, I stay up late.” He whispered right before you got to the front counter, making your jaw drop and ears burn.
“(Y/N), you really got a girl in a frog?” A friend laughed, a bandage wrapped around their thigh.
“It’s cute!” You defended it, holding your arm close to your body.
“The cutest fucking one.” Sukuna added on, slapping the counter and pointing at everyone.
“Aren’t you cold without a shirt on?” Choso mumbled, typing away on his phone in the corner.
“No ‘cause I’m not anemic like you are.”
“It’s still cold outside.”
“Doesn’t mean it’s cold in here!” The two of them quickly devolved into petty squabble, giving each other light hearted shoves in the shoulder while Geto collected the money from everyone.
“Bye, thank you so much!” You all called out as you left, waving goodbye and shrugging your jackets back on.
“I’ll be waiting for that text, doll!” Sukuna shouted right as you stepped out, blowing you a kiss when you whipped your head over your shoulder in shock.
“Text? Were you flirting with him?” A slew of curious looks were thrown your way, making your shock even worse.
“N-no!” You stuttered and immediately grimaced at it, face getting warmer as you climbed into the car. “We were just talking while he tattooed me, he just wants to make sure it heals right.”
“Mhmm, whatever you say. Let’s go to the drive through now, Geto told me to eat something after getting tattooed!”
“Hey check Sukuna’s Instagram story, he already posted your tattoo (Y/N)!”
“Really?” Rushing to pull out your phone, it was indeed true. Sukuna had posted one of the pictures he took of your arm, a few silly frog gifs surrounding it, with the caption ‘painted a pretty doll with a pretty frog, hope they come back for more xx’.
“You two were definitely flirting!” Shouts resounded in the car, everyone giggling wildly at the caption. Giggling along with them, you quickly typed a message to Sukuna.
(Y/N): hey Sukuna this is (Y/N). Thanks again for the frog! And the picture you posted on your story looks really good :)
(Sukuna): no problem doll
(Sukuna): next time you want a tattoo, text me and i’ll draw up whatever you want
“Sukuna said he wanted to tattoo me again!” You announced to your friends, all of them oohing and crowding around your phone. “What should I say?”
“I’ll do it!” Someone snatched your phone before you could say anything, rapidly shooting off a message and tossing the device back to you.
(Y/N): are you free tomorrow?
“He’s not gonna-” Right as you were beginning to shake your head and type another message, he replied.
(Sukuna): for you? of course

I was talking with @ryttu3k (read: textwalling at) and thinking about convention season in the World of Darkness:
Cosplay season? Time for Nosferatu to shake off their greyface, for Tzimisce to outdo themselves, and for Gangrel to show up with cat ears!
But NOPE, NO FUN ALLOWED, TOO BIG A RISK TO THE MASQUERADE!
So every single year the Camarilla dispatches teams of Archons to follow conventions around and apprehend every Masquerade violation they can see.
You know that photo that went around about the army being briefed on Naruto running because of the Area 51 storming thing? That, but Archons getting briefed on human cosplay each year.
"This is a pair of hooves made by a Tzimisce. These hooves are fake and made by a mortal -- notice the plastic sheen."
@ryttu3k also suggests "Archons cosplaying to blend in."
@ryttu3k: "Jan Pieterzoon wins the Masquerade one year. The irony is not lost on him."
The Camarilla send in a bunch of ghouls to find Masquerade violations, follow them around and loudly talk about how "fake" their cosplays look for all the kine to hear until an Archon can show up and drag them off.
Archons accidentally violating the Masquerade by trying to arrest a human with amazing cosplay skills. After that, a "how to arrest violators discreetly" module is incorporated into the yearly presentation.
@ryttu3k: "A Ventrue hanging around who just goes from convention to convention because they can only feed on people in costumes and it does lead to some accidental level-1 blood bonds. "Oh shit, I thought those were fake!""
In cities with a big Sabbat presence the Tzimisce tend to go in packs. The Camarilla are convinced they're about to mass-murder some kine and can't apprehend them all at once, so phone in a fake bomb threat. In reality they're just big fans of Doctor Who.
@ryttu3k: "Clever Tzimisce just end up doing a combination of fake and real, like, "No, see, this is clearly made of wire and worbla." "Huh, okay." *Real tentacle flips them off when they walk away*"
Gangrel getting harassed for cat ears having to take them off to prove they're fake.
One year a bunch of Tzimisce get so annoyed that they all vicissitude themselves into Jan Pieterzoon, down to the clothing, just to fuck with the Camarilla.
Nosferatu get tired of archons breathing down their necks so they set up a Nosferatu (as in the film) stall so they can walk around "in costume", mixed with some actually-costumed ghouls, to piss off the Camarilla.
SchreckNET forums absolutely lighting up:
"Stall 5b is selling a ton of mirrors, LASOMBRA AVOID!! One of the archons has been camped out there all night and has caught three of you already!"
"Jan Pieterzoon sighted near DoTerra!"
"Theo Bell is dressed as Batman this year, just letting you guys know." "Which one?" "Adam West."
"Hey guys, regardless of your opinions on the Salubri, can someone get a hold of the Ventrue with the costume feeding restriction and warn him to avoid Commander Shepard cosplayers? My Salubri friend is going as FemShep and she fell afoul of him last year and almost got eaten in public and the Camarilla had to cover it up as a film stunt..." "So, where can we find this Femshep cosplayer?" "Hey you know your username SAYS you're Tremere, right?" "I'm just curious!"
"Which Tzimisce asshole is responsible for posing as Chris Pine? The kine have noticed that the signatures are fake and are complaining at the front office about body doubles!"
"Heads up guys, Pieterzoon's confiscating cat ear headbands that are 'too realistic' now, my pair just got yoinked. :/ "
"I swear I just saw four Pieterzoons strolling down the artist's alley, what the fuck?" "Oh, the Tzimisce are protesting because the Camarilla phoned in a bomb threat to break up a group of them last year." "Ohhhhhh, ty, I'm gonna go get a photo with them."
"Hey guys this is my first convention and I'm Lasombra, how do I avoid ending up in people's selfies?"
"Okay guys, just warning you, you know the Nosferatu at the stim toy stall? Yeah, he's not a Nosferatu, he's a burn victim. I'm going to crawl under a rock now..."
"Guys the Camarilla's really been coming down hard on us down in the Warren so we're staging a campaign to pressure Isaac Abrams into making a Nosferatu (1922) reboot so more of us can go next year. Anyone got some favors to call in?"
