I had the idea of evan and actress reader reading tons of thirst tweets together. Just saw a lot of videos and thoughy it would be nice with evan too omg. You can chose if you wanna write with both or not.

notes : this is very short and shitty but I had a hard time writing the speech and actions together so like yea just a little blurb :) Also evan and reader are just best friends. Enjoyyy

“ Alright ready? “ the producer asked. Y/n looked in the mirror and touched up her hair a bit before nodding her head. “ Okay action! “ The cameras started rolling as Evan introduced himself first. “ Hey Buzzfeed, I’m Evan Peters with the lovely Y/n Y/l/n and today is another ungodly episode of thirst tweets. These are actually going to traumatise me. “ He laughed and slid a hand over his face. “ Don’t worry you’re not alone “ Y/n patted his back, both of them making sad pouting faces.

“ Oh don’t make them think we kidnapped you here and forced you two to do this! “ One of the crew members shouted from behind, making everyone burst out laughing, lighting up the atmosphere. Both the actors pulled out their phones and clicked into twitter, the horrifying and chaotic app. “ Alright shall I do the honours of doing the first one? “ Y/n asked Evan. “ Yes please, I don’t think I’m ready. “ Evan took a deep breath in and heavily blew it out, making you chuckle.

“ Whenever I see Y/n on screen I can only think of letting her sit on my face and me eating the fuck out of her. “ Her eyes were widening as she was reading it. “ Woah already on a great start here Y/n “ Evan gave a funny worried look. “ Yea uhm, well I appreciate being on your mind and hope I taste good in your dreams? “ She shrugged and made an uncertain expression. Seeing that Y/n didn’t have anything left to say, Evan started with his first tweet.

“ When I stumble along a video of Evan, my vibrator suddenly appears in my hand and bussy is purring. “ Evan laughed out loud and shook his head in disapproval. “ God these people on twitter need to be controlled! I’m disappointed in you people on this app. “ Evan put a hand on his chest and acted like a disapproving dad, making Y/n playfully hit his shoulder and laugh at him. Them grinning at each other brightly, “ Okay my turn, this is funner than I thought kinda disturbing but that’s the twist to it. Alright next one, Y/n seems like a great person to have a smoke with while watching a sunset, making out with her till the dusk takes over the sky. “

“ Aww, that’s actually really cute and should’ve been the first one I started out with. Well if you have time we can go have a smoke together, I’m free tomorrow in fact. “ Y/n joked, making a hand into a phone and putting it to her ear, mouthing the words ‘ hook me up ‘ with her wiggling her eyebrows. “ Don’t worry about her people, she’s just desperate for friends, she’s a loner. “ Evan used his large hand and covered Y/n’s face. “ Hey! I choose to be alone sometimes okay “ She scolded Evan, smacking his hand away. He put up his hands in defeat and cackled, “ I trust you, but remember when you’re lonely I’m here to cure it “ Evan placed his hands onto her hand and puckered up his lips while smiling.

“ Yea yea yea, read your next one big boy “ Y/n gestured to his phone. Evan focused his gaze back onto his phone and scrolled to the next tweet. “ I would like for Evan to push me against the wall with his hand around my neck, choking me, then smashes his lips against mine and we have a very heated make-out. “ Hearing him read out his tweet, Y/n almost spat out her water. She was shocked, who knew the internet was so wild and brave to say such things. “ Bravo you’ve got your first nasty one that WILL haunt your dreams tonight. “ Evan just stared at his phone disgustingly, poor man is disturbed.

“ Well firstly, I’m traumatised. Secondly, I would never choke anyone because I am not a sadist myself and wish to not hurt anyone. “ Evan placed his phone faced downwards and wiped imaginary sweat off his forehead. “ Yea guys don’t misunderstand that he’s a sadist, because he’s actually a secret masochi- '' “ Guys please don’t listen to this little girl she doesn't know anything that’s coming out of her mouth. “ Evan interrupted her by putting a hand over her mouth. Taking this as an opportunity, Y/n pinched him arm away, making Evan wince.

“ See everyone! I just got it on black and white that Evan enjoys painnn. “ Not giving a single second for Evan to respond, Y/n moved on to her last tweet. “ Okay last one, let’s get a juicy one. Ah this one, I’m literally so gay for Y/n I wish I could make her feel so good. “ Oh did Y/n love having an effect on both genders. “ Well my fellow, sorry to break this to you but Miss Y/l/n sexuality isn’t colourful. “ Evan said while still soothing his pinched skin. “ Welllll you’re wrong, I actually don’t have a label so you freaky fellows still have chances. “ Y/n smirked while squinting her brows together.

“ Omg you’re saying I have a chance too!? “ Evan dramatically gasped while flicking his wrist. “ Nahh you’re just my best friend “ Y/n wrapped her arms around his shoulders while smushing him closer to her. “ Way to go for friendzoning me “ Evan mumbled into her hair as he pretended to cry. “ Your welcome, now read your last tweet crybaby I can’t handle this suffering any longer “ Picking back up his phone he read the last and final tweet to end this pain.

“ I wish Evan Peters could smash a laptop on my tits right now, oh come onnn. Why is it always violence? “ Evan sighed. “ Oh well at least it’s over, now put down that phone and delete that app later. You're too sweet for it. “ Y/n suggested as she funnily pushed off his phone patted his head, acting like his mum.

“ WELL uhm that’s it for today’s disturbing thirst tweet, uhm buzzfeed please never invite us again though it was our pleasure to be here.” Evan unexpectedly shouted his sentence, making Y/n jump and her making a ‘ are you crazy ‘ face. “ Yes thank god let’s please wrap this up but also don’t forget to watch our latest movie American Animals streaming on netflix and hulu. “

Y/n was so glad to wrap this up because all she learned today was that she made the right choice of not being on the internet.

first creature getting thrown on here is Hyperlink since its the easiest to explain ^_^

Hyperlink is in a universe separate from Endgame and is also in a world that ive been building with my friends :^) we dont have an official name for it and its just called virus for now xP

kaz/hyperlink is a computer virus (more like a computer annoyance) that lives in my computer. it lives in its own folder and has a room made from pngs it grabbed from the internet. hyperlink will roam around the screen looking for any files or images to eat or any games to play to pass the time . it also eats the pixels in the screen as if they were snacks which leaves a lot of dead pixels . it likes to play games without telling the user, so often times they will open a game and either it will have progressed, finished, or deleted entirely . kaz will then write the user a detailed review on the game (not spoiler free!) and go back to whatever it was doing. kaz is active whenever, but it typically does its things when the pc is off or asleep . if hyperlink cries, the users files become corrupted and unable to open/inaccessible. it cannot be deleted from the computer due to a restriction it placed on itself so if you get it, you might as well throw the whole pc out. kaz has its own thoughts and behaviors but the way the user interacts with it can also shape its personality and it can be “wiped” if the pc is factory reset. it has a colorful outline and this changes based on its mood and feeling and can desaturate or disappear completely if it gets overly emotional (which is very rare, hyperlink isnt really an emotional thing). hyperlink also likes to draw in ms paint and sometimes the user can open up their pc to see the background changed to a really shitty drawing. theyd be similar to little drawings youd see in student notebooks. it likes to edit photos too and will draw over them or crop and resize them and delete the original image forever so the user is left with only the edited version(s). hyperlink communicates using the Sticky Notes application. when it talks a lot, numerous notes will pop up and flood the screen

hyperlink lives in felix's (my) pc and for a while, it was living there alone. then somehow a bunch of other viruses showed up one day and now it has to share the living space. because kaz was the first one on the pc, it takes this very seriously and tries to be the one in charge of the other viruses. unfortunately for kaz, no one takes it seriously and actually treats this as a joke most of the time hyperlink is not exactly evil but it is not the nicest thing in the world . it can get pretty cocky at times

I cannot speak in full about the breakup. I think it says quite a lot that it began four months before the two years in which memories do not appear to have formed. And that I am here only because of the next of the system’s relationships.

I am a part. We are a system of parts. I do not function as a whole person. Given the nature of our system, we have never functioned as a whole person. We have always been incomplete.

I can focus on one thing at a time, and I can be very successful in that one thing. And everything outside my focus falls away. All other stressors, a class that includes too many basic living skills, go away so I can do my one thing.

And this is to say that I cannot survive independently. Not and be “functional” at the same time. When I try, the stressors only snowball and magnify until the brain says “enough” and wipes my memory.

As far as I can tell, this is the way we have always been.

The boy could not have left the parents’ house without someone to take up the slack. Angela failed miserably until she asked a caseworker to manage her money and bills. I cannot leave my partner to live independently. (We have aced all accounting, bookkeeping, and economics courses we have taken, and most of our projects involve a spreadsheet in one way or another – so it is frustrating that I can and have taught the subjects that I cannot apply in my own life.)

The fiancée was our lifeline.

The fiancée’s primary models of a relationship were her parents. The parents divorced and the mother lived in bitterness since. The fiancée’s mother blamed the father for everything, including her unwillingness to move on in the many years after the divorce.

The red flags were there to be seen.

The breakup was drawn out over many months, and in the end, the fiancée finally walked away with everything of value (and much that had no real value but appeared to have been taken out of spite) while we were hospitalized.

And this was the beginning of two years that, by all rights, we ought not to have survived.

We met the fiancée while working at a summer theater. We did not like her at first but grew to like her over a shared adversary (the technical director was inept with labor relations).

We wrote to each other often while we finished high school. We visited as often as we could. And then we moved in together with a few other roommates. We then bounced around the state, essentially homeless, for most of a year, before we moved to our final apartment together.

The boy worked an assembly line job for too many years, while the fiancée finished college. The plan was that the fiancée would then find work so we could finish college. But the fiancée followed the pattern of the mother, differing only in that she found a boyfriend.

[Off topic: We later learned that the fiancée attempted to hook us up with a mutual friend, but the friend did not appreciate being used in this way, so would not play along.

There was a particular cruelty to the fiancée’s departure. A cruelty that was strikingly out of character from the fiancée, even under their mother’s model. While responsibility can fall only on the fiancée’s shoulders, this cruelty was more characteristic of the fiancée’s new boyfriend.

I find no joy in thinking that the ex-fiancée may have felt this cruelty first-hand at the end of her relationship with the new boyfriend. (We were told by mutual friends that the new boyfriend had previously attempted the same move on another couple but turned cruel upon first meeting and seeing the woman – in the primitive, early days of the Internet, when photos had to be scanned on a rare and far too expensive scanner, and then uu-encoded to be delivered in a text-email form.)]

There was a time in our life when this person made a difference. Whatever happened in the end, is something we appear to have recovered from.

We were far from perfect on our part and so I cast no stones.

Our models were not the healthiest. The relationship maybe should have ended before it began. It was doomed to end disastrously.

But again, this comes from a lifetime away.

I know enough of what we went through, as a result of the breakup, that I have no wish to relive it. This may be something that keeps me in my current relationship, even when the red flags are everywhere.

The key difference is that, while they did live in separate homes for many years, my current partner’s parents remained married, even after their mother’s untreated mental illnesses made it impossible to live together. In my partner’s better days, they recognize their dependence on me, and want to be healthier for me.

Aside from the short relapse in November or December, my partner has been showing signs of effort to be healthier for me. Not to take it out on me just because I am the nearest target. I do not expect this effort will last for more than a few months (or weeks?), but it is still an improvement.

Okay so one of the things I really like doing in fandoms where the reader/listener is physically present in the story is depictions of physical character progression. Especially if the "player character" experiences a lot of shit that would reasonably affect their appearance.

I currently don't have the artistic ability to complete these to the level that I would be happy with SO I tend to use picrews (instant gratification baby)

This is my very long winded way of saying. I made a character progression for Baby from the Sadism Hold series (yandere boy Ivan) and I think it's neat so I'm subjecting the Internet to it.

Me and my listener stand-ins are all masc and use he/him but I'll be nice and use they/them for the breakdowns

Also Disclaimer: Picrew 1 is based mostly off the information given to us about Baby and their life by Ivan. There is every likely hood he was just lying to get Baby to break... but I like the stark physical progression so we're running with it but maybe not as bad as he said it was.

Picrew 1: The Before

Decent life. Spends most of their time working. Doesn't go out much. A little lonely.

- the blush... Sorta to convey the "don't know what they want anymore" idea. Blush usually conveys attraction but with everything else it looks unnatural and sickly

My reasoning for the backgrounds.

One thing that stood out to me was the water symbolism in that one audio so I wanted to represent that here. So the wave background is present for all three but they all represent different states(?) of water

I also picked green cause A. I like it. And B. Because it's a natural color in nature and in water but Blue felt a little too close to Ivan.

Background 1. Very muted green. To me this represents stagnant water. Stagnation is not inherently bad but if you're not careful it can harm you (don't drink stagnant water kids)

Background 2: Deep black. this is Contaminated water, and also crushing water. I wanted it to resemble Ivan's whole water wearing things down speech. It's also mental rock bottom (of the ocean *ba doom ching*)

Background 3: very vivid multi-hued green. The vivid and variegated colors represent a healthy and thriving ecosystem with lots of diversity. Like a lake with lots of plants and animals living in it. A call back to the rich social and work life we're told about in Cams video

I finally come bringing ninja turtle content!! It's been a hot minute, lmao.

It's not EXACTLY Rise or any of the shows, but my own AU/iteration of the turtles. Currently don't have a name for it, it's just dumb and goofy and made me happy so here's some info about it!! Note that these are just doodles! Not their fully fleshed designs. Also please correct me if I am wrong with any measurement conversion! I am (unfortunately) American. 💀

First we'll start with Leo and Donnie, the oldest two!

Leo is the oldest of the four (16). He is a Bog Turtle, he stands at about 5'2" (157.48 cm I think). As the oldest, he's always been there for his brothers and Splinter. He is very quiet compared to the others, not that he is mute but he talks very rarely. He is the most serious, yes, but he is also a very bad influence. . . Especially to Raph. Not that he is violent or anything, but he has definitely said some things that none of his younger brothers should hear. He is the most advanced in speaking Japanese of the four. He is also into Herbology and is a wanting to become a botanist. He has many plants in his room

Now onto Donnie!! They're the second oldest (15). They are a Florida East Coast Diamondback Terrapin and stand at 5'10" (177.8 cm I think). As the second oldest, they're often the forgotten one. Not in the sense that the others forget their name, but they are also quiet, and timid, so the others unintentionally forget they're in the same room or area with them. They try to be the voice of reason, especially in dangerous situations but their words fall upon deaf ears. . . Well, that is often literal if they're standing on Raph's left side. They're like a gentle giant, trying to use their science skills for good but if they've been up for more than 48 hours with no sleep, their experiments, research, and technology become. . . Questionable to say the least. They enjoy video games, their favorite being Minecraft. If their game was ever deleted, then safe to say New York City would be wiped off the map.

Here's Raph! I've drawn him the most but you'll have to wait for that. He is the second youngest (14). He is a Pascagoula Map Turtle and stands at 4'11" (149.86 cm) making him the shortest, but don't think for a second that you can underestimate him. His entire left side is quite weak, having deformities to his plastron and carapace at his shoulder. He has scarring at his neck and on his face, being partially deaf in his left ear and partially blind in his left eye. He had a hearing aid and glasses with the one lenses when he was younger, but it always made him mad so Splinter stopped forcing him to wear them. He does have to wear and arm and leg brace however when him and his siblings go out to the surface. He is almost on the same speaking level as Leo with Japanese, but writing is often his struggle. He is easily frustrated by simple things, let it be simple tasks like doing dishes or cleaning. He wants to prove he can do everything the others can do, having been "sheltered" for a long time by Splinter. He has grown a major soft spot for animals, especially cats and dogs. Despite his flaws and disadvantages, he never lets that stop him, being too stubborn to give up.

And last but not least, have Mikey!! He is the youngest (13) and is a Western Painted Turtle and stands at 5' (152.4 cm). He is a bundle of joy and chaos, never let his cute appearance fool you. A the youngest, he absolutely has his ways of getting what he wants. Well, he did when he was younger but now that trick doesn't work anymore. He is an artist, making money from commissions without ever having to show his face! He has horrible humor, like it's not funny at all. He was an IPad kid, playing lots of brain rotting games and having access to the internet way sooner than he should have. It got to the point where Splinter unforced a 1 hour screen time and supervised him until he was old enough to know better. His brothers often let him paint their shells when he's bored and the walls in his room are already covered with paint. He's a joy to be around and can make anyone happy. Also has goofy lil braces :)

The viral (and now Interscope) star incorporates hip-hop producers and nabs an ‘SNL’ slot before her album debut—finally, her voice is bigger than her controversial persona.

RARELY IS A BREAKING ARTIST as polarizing as Lana Del Rey.

The 25-year-old songstress became one of 2011’s most seemingly organic upstarts. Following the release of her breakout single “Video Games” and its vintage-shaded video, apparently filmed and edited on her Macbook, the Lake Placid, N.Y., native racked upwards of 13 million YouTube views and has sold 20,000 copies of her double A-side “Video Games” single since its October 2011 release, according to Nielsen SoundScan. It debuted and spent three weeks at No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot Singles Sales chart. Joining Ellie Goulding and Jessie J, Del Rey recently signed with Next Model Management.

But it’s her all-important authenticity that’s had the Internet atwitter. Multiple blogs have painted a target on Del Rey, whose previous musical incarnation as Lizzy Grant, her birth name, was almost entirely wiped from the Web. On the surface, her tactics could appear calculated: Del Rey’s 2010 5 Points Records debut, Lizzy Grant aka Lana Del Ray, was on iTunes for only two months before vanishing from the store, while her website and social networking profiles were deleted and relaunched under her current guise.

Has a major label been silently orchestrating one of 2011’s greatest indie viral success stories? With her Del Rey debut, “Born to Die” (Interscope), arriving Jan. 31, the pillow-lipped singer/songwriter is the new year’s buzziest commodity, becoming the first artist since Natalie Imbruglia in 1998 to play “Saturday Night Live” (Jan. 14) before releasing her first major-label LP. She’s confirmed for “Late Night With David Letterman” on Feb. 2 and scheduled to appear on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” later the same month. Still, character assassination attempts on the Internet are a daily threat, even if acclaim outweighs the conspiracy theories.

“The Internet’s been well-established for 14 years,” Del Rey says. “It’s not like 1962 where you can’t find out about me. My intention was never to transform into a different person. What other people think of me is none of my business. Sometimes, it hurts my feelings. But I have to just keep going. The good stuff is really good. Some of the other stuff is difficult, but I’ll be able to tour now, probably sing for a while. That’s nice for me.”

ACCORDING TO DEL REY, SHE WROTE more than 70 songs during her time in England, and soon filmed DIY videos for “Diet Mtn. Dew” and “Video Games.” A verbal agreement with Stranger Records to commercially release the latter gave Del Rey’s camp wiggle room to reacquire the song rights in case of a major-label signing. “[It was] a very free single deal. If we got a record deal for an album, they would let her take the single back and get the rights back,” Mawson says. “I just realized the other day we didn’t sign anything… It was a verbal agreement from chatting and then we confirmed by email.”

Labels came full circle when the BBC’s Radio 1 played “Video Games” last summer, thanks to Mawson’s European connections, and her Internet buzz kick-started. The artist began fielding offers from imprints that previously denied her, deciding eventually on a joint deal with Interscope Records in the United States and Polydor Records in the United Kingdom without holding any grudges.

“Signing someone and spending a lot of money, it’s a very dangerous thing to do. Largest failure-to-success rate in any industry,” Del Rey says. “I never had any help, and I really needed help.”

The timing of the deal and her video’s viral release raised eyebrows in the blogosphere. News of her signing broke in late October, but the ink on the contracts had dried in July, fueling conspiracy theorists to assume that the machine had helped with the clearance of copyrighted material included in the videos and promoted her material. It’s not unusual for labels to pull invisible strings for new artists, but rarely is the artist afforded both the creative and marketing freedom that Del Rey has had.

It’s here where her labels, which provided her a budget for videos and album completion, as well as hired a publicity firm (Shore Fire Media) in August, deviate from standard practices. Polydor president Ferdy Unger Gamilton says, “Apart from the strength of the song and the video [for “Video Games”], this shows how the world operates now. Something like this can just gather its own momentum. So many have been reached by it without traditional media or marketing.”

The viral factor of “Video Games” paralleled several breakout Internet sensations of 2011: Del Rey associate the Weeknd, and Frank Ocean. And for Del Rey, the gone-viral marketing method, which often hangs still on quality of music and artistic mystique, was key for convincing label executives wowed by her ability to navigate different Web cultures. She was embraced beyond genre lines, a Net star on sites like Stereogum and Pitchfork, and also popping up on sites like In Flex We Trust, MissInfo.tv and 2DopeBoyz.

“I don’t think she’s any sort of heavy-handed marketer. I think she basically has it down from start to finish. That’s what’s the allure is, in terms of what I saw and what other people are seeing. You have an artist and it’s all just so honest,” Interscope executive VP of A&R Larry Jackson says. “There’s no video treatment we’ve come up with. We haven’t produced the records. It’s 100% solely her. That’s the most honest part. And that’s all that matters. The honesty is the marketing.”

TRANSLATING HER MUSIC TO THE LIVE STAGE after a two-year hiatus, Del Rey tested new material at Brooklyn’s Glasslands in September, taking the stage for a secret show under the alias Queen of Coney Island. Not meant for review, the gig drew criticism from attending writers, tipped off by rogue tweets, who criticized her shaky delivery and live band of session musicians.

“I was noticeably scared,” says Del Rey, who popped her gum into the microphone throughout the performance. “I don’t get onstage trying to be spectacular. I act like it’s sort of still about the singing for me, because that’s all I have so far, are the songs.”

Del Rey didn’t allow the litany of mostly harsh comments on YouTube clips from the show deter her. She upgraded her official New York debut to Bowery Ballroom, where she performed to a sold-out crowd, and then played to packed houses in London and Los Angeles. The reviews have turned laudatory. (“The comment-board fights and blog posts don’t detract from the fact that she can actually sing,” the Village Voice wrote of her Bowery gig.)

On her tracks, Del Rey, who initially described herself as the “gangster Nancy Sinatra,” disaffectedly intones about both eternal and finite romance over cinematic arrangements garnished with hip-hop drums. Though indie artists like Bon Iver and St. Vincent shape-shift to respectively appear on cuts by rappers like Kanye West and Kid Cudi, Del Rey casually massages hip-hop into her stand-alone compositions, working directly with such producers as Jeff Bhasker (West, Jay-Z) and Emile Haynie (Cudi). Do you have any recommendations for good book-based LOTR fanartists? There's lots of great and creative Silm fanart, but even those artists mostly default to movie designs for LOTR characters ;_; ALSO, (though I think this is a REALLY long shot) are there any Austen fanartists AND do they ever draw non-adaptation fanart? I figured if there's one person who would know if this existed, it's you...

The thing with Austen fanart is that even when it’s not directly from the films, it’s influenced by them (in the sort of way that P&P2005 is very caught up in assumptions from P&P1995 even while deliberately pushing back on it). I found some on DeviantArt a long time ago—lol, I have to check my old journal account.

…Okay:

- palnk is clearly influenced by the 2005, but it’s def not duplicated (she’s done a sort of comic of the Netherfield Ball since I last looked!)

- ellaine has done some gorgeous LOTR stuff for my faves (I love her Éowyn here and Faramir here), and has a non-movieverse Darcy/Elizabeth here (and does SW too, it turns out!).

- himmapaan appears to have deleted his work (I imagine he got a contract), but you can still find his Austen stuff floating around if you’re creative.

- my friend @sqbr/ @alias-sqbr did some adorable steampunk Austen and is the lone person (afaik) to illustrate the coffee scene!

- My favourite Tolkien artist is Catherine Karina Chmiel, whose LOTR stuff is my gold standard—in particular, Boromir is one of her faves and her version is pretty much exactly how I imagined him, and I love her comics and her steely version of Faramir and Éowyn.

- A ton of bookverse Éowyns for a thing.

- I don’t know if she’s still around, but I really liked Elizabeth Wyeth’s Tolkien art back in the day.

prompt: would you just shut up and kiss me already?

everyone was surprised when you and the quiet and mysterious sakusa kiyoomi started dating, it wasn’t that he was unlikable by the public, it was because sakusa kiyoomi did not pay attention to anyone or anything besides volleyball. when word got out that sakusa was dating someone the internet broke loose asking who was the person he was dating, how did they meet, how long have they been together, who made the first move and so much more.

he honestly thought that you would be bothered with the attention that your relationship with him was getting, but to his surprise you remained unbothered, as if the media was not talking about you at all. sure there were times when he saw your face scrunch up when you were reading something on your phone about all the stupid rumours but you would quickly shrug it off. maybe that was the reason why he fell for you in the first place, you were always unbothered by the opinion of other people and you never let any prejudices control your opinions about him even before you two started dating.

you peaked your head from the kitchen when you heard the front door open, smiling when you saw your boyfriend come in “hey omi, how was your day” you wiped your hands on the apron you were wearing, preparing dinner for the both of you

he dropped his bag near the door and walked towards you.

he appreciated the things that you do in the apartment, making sure to keep it the way he likes but also putting a touch of you in it which he loves.

“it was good, my serves are getting better but miya insists that he’s the best server on the team”

he smelled the food that you were cooking and immediately noticed the smell, it was your signature dish after all, the one sakusa loves to eat when he’s had a bad day, it somehow always made him feel a lot better.

you giggled at their little rivalry, already knowing atsumu challenged sakusa to another service competition.

“that’s good, i bet you won this time am i right?” you turned to face him but quickly realising that he was behind you

“kiyoomi you scared me” putting your hands up when he appeared behind you in a matter of seconds.

“you know omi, you should really talk more” you smiled at him while wrapping your arms around his neck.

he shook his hair and gave you a lazy smirk and placed his hands on your waist “and you should talk less” he leaned in closer to you, close enough to have your noses touching.

“well if i didn’t talk we wouldn’t be here right now, after all i was the one who made the first move” you teased making sure to brush your lips lightly against his.

“you know i thi-” you got cut off by his words

“would you just shut up and kiss me already?” he groaned, wanting to just feel your lips on his.

“hmmm maybe if you asked nicely i’ll give you a little kiss” you couldn’t help it, it was just so fun to tease him

but he didn’t even reply to you, instead he placed his hand on the back of your neck to pull you in for a loving kiss.

you melted into the kiss, grabbing the strands of his curly hair from the back of his head playing with it just the way he likes

he pulled away from you but pressed your foreheads together

“you’re so annoying” you heard him say before pressing a peck on your lips

“you love me” you stated grinning at him

“yes, i do”

now this really feels like home

Lifespan • Mason Mount

Warning: mention of death, other than that I hope you like it x

When you started to think that something was wrong, that you were different from everyone else, you were afraid. Whenever you were on the verge of talking to someone about it, you simply couldn't; the fear of being seen as crazy or not being believed was always in the forefront of your mind.

It all started when you turned twenty-one, before that you had never had a chance to believe that something was wrong with you. Your sister had just become a mother and everyone in the family was so happy with the new arrival, including you, that you went to see them with your hands full of presents as soon as you could.

That little bundle was so small and defenceless, in his cradle carefree and ready to live all the life he had ahead of him. You took him in your arms, careful not to be too rough, cuddling him for a while, captivated by that little miracle and swearing to yourself that you would do anything to be an example to him.

Something shiny on his leg had caught your attention, a series of numbers running backwards like a countdown had you raising an eyebrow in confusion. 89:54:12...11...10...09... you had brushed it tentatively but nothing happened.

"You're all right (Y/N)? Is something wrong?" the new mother had asked, seeing you focused on looking at her son's skin and knowing how you were always looking for the smallest details.

Looking up at your sister and back down at the little leg, it was all gone. Just as it had appeared it was gone and you shake your head, "Nah don't worry about it. I'm just still in shock from this beauty"

Over the next few days that episode buzzed around in your head annoyingly, you were curious wanting to find out what it was but at the same time it scared you. What if it was a curse rather than a good thing? Several times you had gone back to visit your nephew and each time the number was different, lower. And you found you could only see it once a day, the sign disappearing just as it appeared. At its own pace. You could only see it on the side of the left leg, it was hard to see when covered up and you couldn't see it on yourself.

That thought now took up all your spare time, you had even researched it on the internet but had not been very lucky. You had found out what it was at your own expense.

You had errands to run that day and got up early, it was a nice day and you thought you'd leave the car in the garage and go for a nice walk. You look down at your phone as you wait for the pedestrian light to turn green and as you do so you realise your shoe is untied. You lean down to fix it and a sparkle draws your attention to your right, a little girl apparently alone with a backpack bigger than her on her shoulders is waiting beside you. 00:00:06 is written on her leg.

The light turns green and lots of people start walking quickly before getting stuck in the red light again. You hurry walking but when people start shouting to be careful you instinctively grab that little girl by her backpack pulling her to you avoiding an accident, a truck that didn't even stop.

"Thank you, ma'am"

"Oh my god are you alright?" you murmur shocked walking the child to the other side of the pavement safely as she nods and then goes on her way, you following her with your eyes. Until she collapses to the ground and you swear your heart skipped a beat as your legs start running towards her, 00:00:00 in red on her leg.

Mason immediately notices something is wrong with you as soon as he opens the door, your expression blank and your face almost colourless. He immediately wraps you in a hug closing the door gently and your grip tightens when he would like to pull away to look you in the eye.

"What's going on (Y/N)?" he asks worriedly, stroking your hair as you shake your head, you held on as you tried to resuscitate that little girl in vain; as they loaded her into the ambulance with the sheet on her tiny body and even as you answered the police's questions. And you're literally exhausted, tears start to roll down your cheeks as Mason forces you to look at him, laying his hands on your cheeks gently but firmly. "You're worrying me"

"There was an accident today" you murmur with a broken voice and he takes a step back to look at you entirely and make sure with his eyes that nothing is out of place. He pulls you to his chest again as he tries to get you to move towards the couch.

"Do you want to tell me what happened?" he asks softly not wanting to push you, you sit by his side leaning forward and resting your elbows on your knees. Your tongue goes to stop a tear that is falling down powerfully at that moment.

"There was a little girl" you tremble at the mere memory, "she was maybe twelve. And we were... there was a red light and then we crossed and she was alive"

"Oh babe" he sighs stroking your back, watching you shake your head.

"No Mase, she was alive on the other side of the road. Then... then she fell to the ground and-" a sob shakes your body as he looks at you helplessly.

"I knew it"

"What? Babe it was a random accident, you couldn't have known"

"I knew it Mason! I knew something was going to happen but I thought that having saved her from the truck she was going to be saved and instead..."

"What are you saying (Y/N)?"

"Mason, I'm losing my mind" you look at him genuinely scared and he wastes no time in wrapping you around himself again. "You just went through a traumatic event, it's normal for you to feel upset honey"

"No I- I need to tell you something" you sit up properly not breaking eye contact, watching him swallow but waiting for you to continue. And you tell him everything from the beginning trying to be as accurate as possible, from the birth of your nephew to the shiny writing on his leg; the research and testing to find out more and more every day, to that day when you really realised what it was by learning that you can't change fate.

"What's the point if I can't do anything to change it?" is the first thing you ask to a silent Mason, trying to absorb that strong informations all at once. And you can't blame him if he doesn't want to believe you, I mean it's kind of surreal, isn't it?

"You can see the date of people's deaths?"

"Apparently. But please call it a person's lifespan instead" he nods, his hand touching your knee to make you feel his presence and his thumb stroking you gently.

"Wow all this is just... wow. I wonder if there are more of you out there"

"You believe me?" you're on the verge of tears again as he smiles softly.

"Why wouldn't I, you have magic" he manages to make you laugh in spite of everything, a tear escaping your control but you promptly wipe it away.

"How does it work? Does it hurt?"

You shake your head, "I don't feel anything, just this light which is then replaced by numbers... I should have realised sooner" your gaze ending on Mason's legs who is thankfully wearing long trousers, no more numbers for today.

He follows your gaze, "Have you seen mine?" the question pops up and you quickly shake your head closing your eyes. "I can't see it if you've got it covered and I don't want to please"

"No hey it's okay, it's okay" slowly he pulls you with him until you're lying on the couch, you sigh settling yourself better in his arms focusing on his beating heart and nothing more.

"Have you tried searching on the internet?" you nod, "Yeah but I haven't found that much"

"Yeah but maybe now that you know what it's for you can look more properly"

"Some other time. I can't do it now"

"We'll do it together when you want to" he leaves a kiss on your temple as you give him a first sweet smile after all those tears.

Having someone to share all this with turned out to be a godsend. Just as he had said, since the accident Mason had been with you through everything and you had almost moved in with him.

You would have liked to say that you had learned to live with it, but the truth was that since that day you had been so afraid it might happen again that you no longer looked down. Mason had researched it for you, urging you to try this and that, sometimes much more excited about discovering new things about it than you were. But at the same time he'd also given you your space to decide how to deal with it all and you'd simply decided not to deal with it; not being able to do anything to avoid the inevitable had stopped you from studying how to live with it.

Your phone vibrates and Mason's name appears on the screen after a moment, your smile disappearing little by little as you accept the call. Hearing his voice calms you a little, but that doesn't mean you don't feel your heart in your throat when he tells you that he's in the hospital and that he and Declan were in an accident.

He needs you and you don't think twice about getting in the car and driving to him, phone to your ear as your eyes work further than your legs to try and find him as quickly as possible. And when you do, the relief is so intense that you hold him tightly to you as he groans slightly.

"How are you? Declan?"

"Just a few scratches. He was unconscious when they took him away" Mason sits back in the chair and you at his side stroking his back as you let him run through what happened with his mind, holding him in your arms when he breaks down just like he did to you when you needed him.

"(Y/N) I need you to do something for me" you don't need to make him continue any further to understand what's going through his head.

"No Mason" you shake your head seriously, "don't make me do that"

"Please (Y/N), I need to know" he murmurs looking into your eyes.

"Why? Even if it was you couldn't do anything so why would you want to know?"

"I'd like to make sure he's going to be okay and because I could be around if him..." his breath dies in his throat at the very thought.

"I can't" and you try to stop him as he shakes his head walking away to get some air, putting a glass divider between you and him.

Your gaze drifts from him to the door where nurses come in and out, your leg shaking rhythmically. You don't want to be the one to tell him that news, it would destroy him. But then why does it have to be bad news? Yeah, but what if it is?

You look at Mason one last time before getting up, your mind not even registering what you ask the nurse in the hallway; her sweet smile leading you past the room you seek.

"I'll only stay a couple of minutes, thank you very much" the nurse walks away and you watch your friend from a distance, still undecided as to whether that's the right thing to do. Silently you step into the room moving closer until you're beside the bed, Declan has a few scratches on his face and an injured shoulder at first glance but the fact that he's been unconscious for so long doesn't give the doctors the green light to dismiss him at the moment.

His legs are covered by a sheet and for a moment you think it's a sign. Your hand freezing in mid-air on the first try. And then the glow starting to appear even from under the sheet, your hand moving on its own to uncover his leg and your eyes closing at that light more brightly than usual. Your heartbeat the only thing you can hear for a moment until you open your eyes. A few tears escape your control as you pull the sheet down as if you got burned, your hand going to cover your mouth as you hurry out of that room.

"Oh (Y/N) what have you done?" you almost clash with Mason and he's quick to wrap his arms around you as you try to pull yourself together. When he hadn't seen you where he'd left you once he'd gotten back, he'd known immediately and the guilt had hit him hard.

He shouldn't have asked you, not knowing the emotional effort you have to put into all that. Declan was going to be fine and even though his fate may be another, knowing that beforehand wouldn't have changed anything; he'd be by his friend's side no matter what and putting you in that position...

"It's okay, I had to do it. If I can't use it to calm those I love, then when?"

"So...?"

"I can't know what's next for him but Declan still has a long life ahead of him" despite everything it's a relief to hear and the boy cheers slightly, his gaze inevitably shifting to his bed visible from outside.

And maybe that's what it's used for, knowing to be able to spend most of our time with someone we love; no regrets.

"Go to him" Mason leaves a kiss on your lips before going to sit next to his friend. A solid 62:03:20 runs down his leg.
