v hanging out at judy’s, listening to shit on the radio, smoking together, giggling over dumb jokes, one of them always laying or leaning on the other, and if not that, then laying near each other. they watch a movie on the tv, order some pizza, maybe get bored and start messing around. vic ends up staying the night (“it’s way too dark to drive right now” she says, and in the back of her head johnny goes “yeah right, fuckin’ night-cruiser”) and she and judy stay up reallll late, either busting out a board game, a puzzle, or dusting off an old console judy’s got buried in her “random stuff” closet. hell, the 2 techies could even take something apart and put it back together again to keep entertained — maybe now’s the perfect time to build that chair that’s been sitting in its box. whatever they decide to do, they don’t finish it, they can’t. they end up stumbling to the bedroom and just crashing into bed, so exhausted from trying to fit everything in one day. but it was a good day, you know? one really good day.

do you think penelope and callisto also have nicknames for judith except judy, like for example treausure ?

Girl— absolutely!

Judith is the most precious little bean, and her parents constantly fuss and dote over her! (With good reasons, might I add)

I personally have a few hc nicknames that Callisto and Penelope have for Judy:

✿ Little spitfire, or simply spitfire :

Callisto is the one that gave her the nickname, and it simply stuck with her ever since! Reynold also took a habit of referring and calling Judy like that, (even tho Callisto wanted to gatekeep the nickname hehe).

‘Spitfire’ is also what Callisto calls Penelope when he’s teasing her, and it’s actually where he got it from in the first place, thinking that mother and daughter are quite alike when it comes to their fiery temper. (It’s also a bonus that both Judy and Penelope have fire spells/magic).

✿ Little dragon :

This one is quite easy to figure out. Judy has dragon wings, so it’s not a surprise that she has this nickname.

Penny will often cradle her to her chest, and just say something among the lines of “my little dragon Princess” as she strokes her hair lovingly, and plants a kiss on her tiny forehead, and Judy just shrieks happily. Callisto melts every time he sees this, mans loves his girls so much <3

✿ Small Lady Dragon :

This is the name she demands to be called every time she has tea parties with her plushies, dad and uncles. Callisto came up with it when they were roleplaying, and she’s been set on the name ever since.

Judy insists that this is her official title, to the amusement of her relatives and servants, Penelope will shake her head smiling, while Callisto laughs quietly at the adorable sight.

✿ Chérie : (This is mostly for a Modern!AU), but I see Penelope as someone with a large range of languages, so it comes natural to her to call Judith cute nicknames in other languages!

Judy giggles every time, saying “Mommy used the pretty word again!” and insists on being called that by her mother, which motivates Penelope to call her daughter that more often.

Callisto pesters Penelope often, because he wants to learn new nicknames as well. He always tries his best, but some times his pronunciation is a little off, which leads to Penny poking fun at his attempts as he pouts frowns. She thinks he’s cute, and is actually very fond of the fact that he tries his best to be a good father.

✿ Besides the ones above, her parents obviously call her : treasure, sunshine, dear, lovely, baby and Princess, because simply put— she’s all of the above for them. Judy is their pride and joy, and she fills their days with happiness thanks to her little antics.

Judy and Nick have absolutely purred when they're super comfy snuggled up together, and at first they were both super self conscious about it until they realized the other found it super cute- er, endearing, so now they let themselves purr around each other without worrying about it.

Also, Nick gradually goes from very minimal physical affection to being physically unable to keep his paws off of Judy for more than a few minutes. It's honestly embarrassing.

I've been thinking about this and I think that Judy Garrick could be the perfect parallel for Bart.

Picture this, a young preteen Judy Garrick shows up in the modern era. She's brash, she's inexperienced, she's uninhibited. She's just a kid trying to fit in and figure it all out and trying to have fun along the way.

And then you have Bart. He's older, he's wiser. He isn't the kid he used to be. He's grown in so many ways. He's entering young adulthood. He's trying so hard to forge his own path in life while balancing the family legacy. He desperately wants respect but not at the cost of having fun.

Suddenly, Bart's faced with a time displaced little kid. A time displaced little kid, who insists she isn't a kid, with the last name of his mentor. Bart's face to face with a walking reminder of everything he worked so hard to grow past and he's trying so hard to keep this kid alive out of respect for Jay but there's also some resentment there that Judy is Jay's real family. Not Bart.

Judy of course wants nothing to do with Bart. Who is this guy trying to tell her not to jump on power lines? Why did Jay say that she had to listen to him? It's so unfair. All he ever does is tell her to stay behind him. She knows how to fight, thank you very much.

The parallels. You gotta think about the parallels.

(*also to preemptively combat this, no I'm not ignoring Max but we can acknowledge Bart's father-son relationship with Jay without discrediting his father-son relationship with Max. Bart has two dads.)
