#amy watches penny dread
are you into any horror media (movies, shows, etc.) ?
some! i'm trying to branch out more bc i think it's such a cool genre and i LOVE spooky shit, but i am also a huge weenie who hates jump scares and hits the ceiling at any sound i don't expect, so i haven't really watched a whole lot of horror movies/shows. i do love some Gothic horror though!! i've really enjoyed Penny Dreadful (OBVIOUSLY lmao), Crimson Peak, The Haunting of Bly Manor, Midnight Mass, The Conjuring, Hush, The Invitation ... stuff like that -- that gives you more a creeping sense of dread that builds and builds -- is more my speed? like, the experience i look for in horror is the escalating sense of "WHAT THE FUCK!!!" more so than slasher/gore/jump scare kind. i also really enjoyed the CW Nancy Drew, iZombie (which I still need to finish), and Los Espookys, which aren't like HORROR horror but have horror elements to them. i am eternally on the lookout for stuff like that so PLEASE send recommendations if you have them!!
i've started a few things, like The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina and The Order, and also have a bunch of stuff on my watchlist, so if any of these are worth my time, pls let me know!!
The Order
Hemlock Grove
Santa Clarita Diet (which I think I WOULD like tonewise, but i have been told there's a lot of v*miting, which i struggle with)
Brand New Cherry Flavor
What We Do in the Shadows (also sure I would enjoy, I'm just not really into vampires)
Wolf Like Me
Evil
Outer Range (not sure if it's horror but def looks creepy and holy shit have you seen Noah Reid in the trailer)
Archive 81
Ghosts (doesn't look scary but I love ghosts)
i'm slightly more adventurous with READING horror, but still haven't read a lot of it. in the past year i've really enjoyed The Book of Accidents and Wanderers by Chuck Wendig (one million trigger warnings for both, please look before reading!!), The Death of Jane Lawrence by Caitlin Starling, The Ghost Sequences by A.C. Wise, Summer Sons by Lee Mandel (ESPECIALLY if you loved The Raven Cycle and specifically Pynch), Empire of Wild by Cherie Dimaline (tho it had more than a few incidences of fatphobia :\), The Family Plot by Megan Collins, and Skin Shows by Jack Halberstam (which is queer/critical theory but his work is wall to wall bangers and I highly recommend). i have a bunch more loaded up on my kindle app (Extasia by Claire Legrand, Wake the Bones by Elizabeth Kilcoyne, Within These Wicked Walls by Lauren Blackwood, The Year of the Witching by Alexis Henderson, Witches of New York by Ami McKay...) but just need to ... actually read them.
so uhh yeah! tl;dr i DO but i am a big baby and would love recommendations if something sounds like it would fit my tastes!! i especially love ghosts/werewolves/hauntings so hit me up!

a show about death, immortality, god, and love ending with the main character being killed by the man who loves her most, who she loves most, in order for her to find god and peace, because otherwise she would have suffered immortality, as all the immortal characters live unhappy and unfulfilling lives, bringing sin and heartlessness to the world around them. except she was bringing it to all of humanity by living as herself. when all i wanted was some sexxy vampire stuff and the characters to all end up happy and vanessa and ethan to be together and be in love, saving each other, but y’know

So. My submission for the Fluff Crawlspace is really only, like, 2/3 fluff. Because I'm me, and I can't help but throw in a little angst in what's supposed to be a day to celebrate adorable, light-hearted Shamy goodness. But I hope you enjoy it anyways:
The parameters of Date Night became much more blurred once Sheldon and Amy started living together. They were with each other constantly now- at home, at work, and everywhere in between (literally; they drove together from the apartment to CalTech every day). They had virtually every meal together now, even at work, so did that make every time they ate together a date? What about when they watched a movie, or went to a lecture, or spent any kind of quality time together? It was a pesky game of semantics that Sheldon still wasn’t sure how to clarify in their Relationship Agreement.
Regardless, Date Night remained a fixture in their lives, every second Thursday of the month or every third in a month with five Thursdays. It was comforting, in a way; no matter how their relationship would evolve or change, no matter the discoveries they would make, the children they would have, or the years they would share together, taking one evening a month to get dolled up for a night on the town to reconnect would remain a constant. Their love would always be a priority.
So it took Sheldon by surprise, when it was Amy’s turn to pick the location of their next Date Night, that she chose to have a night in. Amy always enjoyed a little pomp and circumstance when it came to their dates, so when she told him that they were just going to order chinese food and stay in their regular day clothes, Sheldon was more than a little suspicious. He’d been with her long enough to recognize when she was trying to butter him up, but if there was one thing that he loved, it was getting his way even if there was an ulterior motive behind it. And besides, a low-key night at home with his girlfriend would be worth the price of whatever said girlfriend had up her cardigan sleeve.
Unless that price was watching what was to him the most dreaded movie sub-genre in existence. The rom-com musical.
“La La Land?” Sheldon asked as he sat on the loveseat, arms crossed and staring down his girlfriend. “You mean the movie that won Best Picture for all of two minutes before going to the actual deserving film?”
Amy paused in the middle of unwrapping the DVD to look at him. “You know about that?”
“Of course, it’s all Penny talked about for weeks. I also learned from her that the movie is full of unrealistic bursts into song, signs of Hollywood’s narcissistic self-absorption, and jazz.” Sheldon crossed his arms and sat back in his seat. “I won’t let you put me through this.”
“If I can sit through the extended edition of Batman v. Superman for you, you can sit through this for me.”
“But-”
“No buts. It’s my turn to pick the movie. End of story.” And with that, Amy popped the DVD in and moved to the couch, plopping the popcorn between them as she went. “I won’t even make you hold my hand this time.”
Sheldon sighed. It was only when Amy was irritated that she started picking at years long fights like this one. “I’ve told you, I don’t object to holding your hand in general, but for prolonged periods it gets sweaty and itchy and keeps me from paying attention-”
“Just start the movie, Sheldon,” Amy said.
And so he did. From the moment the movie opened with people dancing on cars on a freeway he unfortunately knew well, Sheldon knew he was in for a miserable ride. He heaved a sigh at Mia’s acting woes and rolled his eyes at Seb’s hipster attitudes. Never mind that he found the colors aesthetically pleasing or the script surprisingly sharp, nothing could save the horrendous, erratic notes of jazz. Even if Seb’s passionate explanation of the genre reminded Sheldon of Physics.
Then as the movie was bathed in the purples and pinks and a hint of orange, and Mia and Seb tap danced to the backdrop of a Los Angeles sunset, Sheldon somehow found his toes tapping out a soft rhythm with them. Amy glanced down at his feet as well, and Sheldon quickly drew them closer to the couch and out of her line of sight.
But it was the scene at the Griffith Observatory that did him in, the horror he felt at their audacity to sneak in after hours offset by his fantasy of enjoying the museum without the usual throng of people surrounding him. And as Seb and Mia gazed into the astral projected sky, and as he lifted her into the starry night, Sheldon felt his hand creep slowly around the half-full popcorn bowl and towards Amy. Maybe it was his deeply secret love of astronomy, or their perfect waltz pose, or the memories of dancing with his own love as the universe watched over, but just as the scene began fading into white Sheldon decided to leave old arguments and his own stubbornness behind and take his girlfriend’s hand.
As the music drifted down from it’s crescendo, Amy glanced at him, and they shared a smile before turning back to the movie.
The rest of the movie was expressed through their hands. Sheldon found his thumb tapping out a rhythm on Amy’s hand during the summer montage, and Amy’s fingers grew restless and fidgety when Seb left to go on tour. Sheldon’s nails dug into her palm during their argument, and they both held each other in a vice grip when Seb chose to skip Mia’s show. They relaxed during Mia’s audition, and as Seb and Mia sat on the bench afterward Amy slipped her other hand into the crook of his arm and rested her head on his shoulder. But Sheldon felt himself grow more and more tense throughout the epilogue, his hand going cold in hers, and in the final moment where Mia and Seb parted ways he dropped it altogether.
“Well,” Sheldon declared as he tossed the remote aside. “That was a colossal waste of time.”
“What do you mean? You seemed like you were enjoying it.”
“How can I enjoy a movie with an ending like that?” Sheldon stood abruptly, grabbing the long abandoned popcorn and taking it to the kitchen. “You take two characters, endear your audience to them, demonstrate over and over how perfect they are for each other, and then break them up for good?”
“They wanted different things,” Amy said. “Their dreams didn’t align anymore.”
“They would’ve been fine,” Sheldon said as he emptied the popcorn into some tupperware with a little too much vigor. “Mia could’ve done her movie and then gone back to Seb.”
“But he was touring with the band,” Amy argued as she rose to join Sheldon in the kitchen. “They just grew apart, that’s all.”
“They didn’t even try!”
“They did try, and it only made them grow to resent each other,” Amy said, resting her arms as she stood at the island. “They broke up so they wouldn’t keep hurting each other. All that long distance, back and forth and back again. It would’ve been too much work.”
“It’s not too much work for the person you love!” Sheldon almost shouted, making Amy take a step back again. “No, the problem was that they put their own ambitions above each other. A partnership is about working to achieve your dreams together so that you can have it all in the end. Is it even worth it to open that jazz club, or get that Oscar, or win that Nobel Prize if you don’t have the love of your life to share it with?”
The air hung heavy after Sheldon’s words, the silence deafening. Sheldon felt his eyes grow wide in realization of the carefully guarded emotions he let slip to the surface, and he quickly turned to avoid seeing Amy’s face. He had no clue what Amy must be thinking, and he feared the worst until he felt her small arms come around to hug him from behind.
“I didn’t know you felt that way,” Amy whispered, her head pressed between his shoulder blades.
Sheldon’s hand came up to grasp her own, feeling like he and Amy were fused together as one, like this was how they had always been meant to be. “Well, now you know,” he said, speaking just as softly.
“Sheldon…” He heard Amy’s voice grow tight along with her embrace around his middle. “You know I’m always going to come back, right?”
Sheldon craned his head to look at the black suitcase sitting in the corner of the living room, its omen constantly draped over them as Amy’s departure for Princeton drew ever closer. He turned in Amy’s arms so he could look at her. “That wasn’t what I meant.”
“Then what did you mean?”
Sheldon released a heavy sigh as his hands came to rest on her shoulders. “I wasn’t talking about you, I promise. I meant it when I said that this is a chance you need to take. I was talking about me, before, before…” Sheldon thought back to years of putting his work before Amy, of looking down on her achievements, of taking for granted that she would always be there until she left behind the shattered pieces of his heart in the middle of Howard’s living room. “Before.”
Amy stepped closer to him so that their chests pressed into each other, her heart beating beneath his. “Well… we’re just gonna have to find a way to make sure our dreams align.”
Sheldon tilted his head down so he could look at her, a smile playing at his lips despite his earlier melancholy. “We’re two of the smartest people on the planet. I’m sure we’ll think of something.”
Amy grinned back, then stood on her toes to kiss him before turning back to put away the popcorn. With her no longer looking at him, Sheldon took a chance to glance at the bookshelf beside their bedroom door, where Gollum stood watch over a certain something tucked behind a stack of comic books, where Amy was sure to never venture near. That could be one way to get their dreams aligned… but no, it wasn’t time yet. He didn’t know when it would be time, but people seemed pretty adamant that he’d know when it would. So for now, he would wait. Maybe after the summer, when Amy came back to him. Because she was right, no matter how long she left, she always came back.
But there was one thing he knew without a doubt, as he wrapped an arm around Amy and she held his hand in reply as they turned off the lights and went to bed. He was adding the La La Land soundtrack to his Spotify, even if it was jazz.

Good morning! Whats your favorite show/movie? Who are your favorite characters? Why do you like them so much? Also!! Did you have a good sleep?
Okay so I was a film major for a while, and I have opinions.
Penny Dreadful
I love this show. Like, so much. I adore it. I can not get enough of that show. Just all of the imagery, and the fantastic writing and acting. The episode intro alone is one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever seen. Eva Green is a goddess and I love everything she’s been in. The take on classic horror stories is So Good, and it actually became the inspiration for my Gay Frankenstein story! (Started as a stitch AU, and then went completely OC after I had Ideas) but the show itself is so intimate? I think it’s largely that the period they’re in, everything was so repressed and restricted. So when the characters break out of those moments, it’s more meaningful. And the love-hate relationship between Ms. Ives and Malcolm in season one? Exquisite.  I could literally write essay’s about this show, but I’ll restrain myself and just say: it’s the best ensemble show I’ve ever seen. The characters come together, but they also each have their own distinct lives that sometimes intersect, but in s2 especially, are quite separate. They are constant with one another like ensemble shows usually portray. Also gothic horror and romance? My absolute favorite.
Anything by Guillermo del Toro
This man Owns My Entire Soul. I’m not even joking, everything he writes and directs is perfection. Crimson Peak is probably my favorite (I have a stitch AU for this too ;) ) because again, Gothic horror and romance. I’m a slut for that shit. Also Tom Hiddleston and Jessica Chastain? Delightful casting. I think it’s obvious by now that I love tragic relationships, so their dynamic is *chef’s kiss* amazing. they’re so damaged. And this quote right here is one of the BEST things I’ve ever read:
“But the horror... The horror was for love. The things we do for love like this are ugly, mad, full of sweat and regret. This love burns you and maims you and twists you inside out. It is a monstrous love and it makes monsters of us all.”
Engrave that on my headstone, please?? I’ve got a sort-of Dorian Gray AU (it’s delightful) that’s basically built on this entire premise. Mitch makes the mistake of falling in love with Stiles, and does many terrible things because of it. Mostly to himself, at least.
I think my love of Crimson Peak is very closely tied with The Shape of Water. another beautiful movie, I could wax poetic about this forever. it was beautifully written, and such an artistic movie. I love the way it was filmed, and the set design, and all of the subtle imagery. Such as Elisa’s apartment being cast in cooler tones, it always felt very damp and had evidence of water damage, compared to Giles’, a mirror image of her own, in more warm tones. This is another one I could (and have) write essays about. There is so much packed into this movie, from the themes on toxic masculinity and entitlement, to the conversation on queerness and race and disability, and how all the various relationships are portrayed. Like. there is so much to pick apart in this movie.
Aside from that, ofc Hell Boy deserves an honorable mention because i grew up on those movies. I’m pretty sure the Golden Army especially is responsible for who I am today, given all the lore on the fae in that universe. Wow, that explains so much about me... Also one of my first WoW characters was an elf named Nuala xD I still have her, too, and it’s been like 12 years lol
Near-Future Sci-Fi
Sci-fi is one of my favorite genres, I am a huge nerd for theoretical and astrophysics. But my favorite kind of sci-fi is the stuff that still takes place on Earth, rather than epic battles in space. Ex Machina and Annihilation are at the top of that list. Alex Garland is another writer/director that I love. He has the same kind of approach as del Toro, where he puts a lot of fine details into his work. And I love that it’s very cerebral; there are so many layers to Ex Machina. My English 101 prof actually refused to analyze it in class when I suggested it to him, because he didn’t think my class could. Basically handle? Dissecting that movie? Because a lot of it comes across as very surface level, but in some cases when you look deeper, it’s actually suggesting the opposite of what you might think at first glance. (And he was right, my fellow students were awful. I miss that class though, it was one of my favorites T_T Mr. Ryder was an awesome dude and super chill.)
Morgan is another good example. As you can see, I fucking love androids lol. Which brings me to another of my all time favorite movies: Cloud Atlas. I could literally watch this movie endlessly, I love it so much. The acting, the writing, the filming, all of it is top notch. And one thing they did in the movie that didn’t come across in the book, was reusing the same actors through the different eras in the book. That was just so neat, because it really encapsulates how connected these souls are, as we follow the threads of their story throughout time. If you haven’t seen the movie, I can’t recommend it enough.
Another one I always think of alongside Cloud Atlas, even though they aren’t related at all, is Predestination. It’s a great movie that explores the idea of fate and free will in a really clever way, utilizes time travel in a very organized way that I think was neat (think Umbrella Academy. They even use briefcases! As you can see, I love sci-fi bureaucracy, it’s fun. In fact The Bureau is another movie I enjoyed) and the main character is actually, explicitly trans, which was cool. You basically get to see the entire story of their life, and I don’t want to spoil anything, but it’s just. So good. Mindfuckery galore.
Shoot, and I almost forgot! Arrival! That is one of the best movies, and another one I could watch nonstop. It focuses on mathematics and linguistics and I swear to god, I almost altered my entire college course because of this movie. Amy Addams is brilliant, Jeremy Renner is so soft and nerdy, and again, it has an amazing take on time travel. I am very particular about how time is handled in Sci-fi, and this portrayal was one of my favorite. (Most of my physics studies have been dedicated to the theory of time, so like. Strong Opinions.)
Fantasy
Stardust! It wasn’t until Good Omens can out that I realized Neil Gaiman is responsible for most of the stories I loved as a kid lol, and I had no idea he wrote stardust! But that is such a beautiful movie (I have a Stardust AU lol) and it’s definitely one of my comfort movies. Captain Shakespeare is one of the best characters ever, bless Robert de Niro. I would die for him. Fun fact, i had no idea Ipswitch was a real place until like. 2019. I 100% thought it was made up for the movie 😂
Alongside Stardust, I’ve always loved The Golden Compass. It’s fantasy, but also with that old-timey steampunk science feel, which is so fun and surprisingly difficult to find!
Mortal Engines also has the same kind of feel, and it was such an epic movie in every sense of the word. I’m a little sad that after all the work that went into it, it didn’t get a dedicated following or fan base, because I feel there’s so much potential in it. But at the same time, fandom tends to gather around media that has plenty of flaws for us to repair with gold, and there wasn’t much room for that in Mortal Engines.
I’m going to put Jupiter Ascending here even though it technically fits with the sci-fi, because that section is long as fuck and also this movie has such a fantastic feel. Mila Kunis? beautiful. The CGI? beautiful. Eddy Redmayne? One of the best villain portrayals i’ve ever seen. The whole oedipal vibe he had was immaculate, as was their portrayal of reincarnation, and just. The world building. GOD. I get so weak for through world building. Also the fkn intergalactic bureaucracy when they’re basically at the space DMV? One of my all time favorite scenes in movie history.
Horror
I have very little room in my life for horror. As I said, I have strong movie opinions, especially when it comes to horror movies. I don’t like how most of them rely on cheap jump scares and overused gore and gratuitous rape scenes, instead of, y'know, actual good writing.
Which is EXACTLY why I adore It: Chapter 1 & 2. It has none of those things, but still manages to be so terrifying. They are my favorite horror movies, and I’m saying this as someone who has genuine childhood trauma bc of the novel. Like. I couldn’t shower/take baths alone until I was almost 10 T_T When I was 6-7 and saw kids play by storm drains, I would run over screaming about how Pennywise was going to get them. Like, I had issues man. I was terrified to see the first one, and wouldn’t go until I could go with my best friend after she had already seen it, so she could warn me when something scary was about to happen 😂
And, one of my favorite aspects of the movie, and the thing that gave me Mad Respect for Any Muschietti? The way he filmed Bev and her father. They have a character who is literally being molested, but they never once have to show it. And yet their interactions are still so viscerally upsetting to watch. Sexploitation puts me off of most horror, and the fact that Muschietti doesn’t use it here, even when it would be actually somewhat justified? *chef’s kiss*. I love him.
I love horror as a concept, I’m just really picky about it because I expect the writing to be good. I don’t like short cuts. But in a lot of cases, even if I don’t enjoy the movie itself, I love to watch analysis videos on youtube! I love to see the philosophy and symbolism in different horror movies, even if i don’t like to watch the movies themselves. It’s a fun hobby.
Misc.
Then in general, some other stuff I love in no particular order:
The Internship (Bless Dylan, Stuart is such a bitch and I love him)
American Assassin (ofc. The writing itself is eh, but Mitch is my man)
Dylan’s episode of Weird City. (I actually have a lot of feelings about this one. Jordan Peele is another amazing writer/director, I really need to catch up on his works.)
Dorian Gray (*chef’s kiss*)
Rogue One (Makes me cry every time)
WARCRAFT (Obviously this is a fav. It made me so happy, words cannot express.)
Coraline and most other stop motion animation. I’ve always had a soft spot in my heart for that.
Literally anything associated with Tim Burton. Fun fact, when I was 12 and in middle school, I planned to decorate my future house inspired by tim burton. Like, i had Plans.
Most adaptations of Alice in Wonderland!
So! this got long as fuck! But you said you like that kind of thing lol 😂 I had kinda Eh sleep since I was up so late lmao, and I kept waking up (as usual, rip). And I’m so mad I go up for nothing! The dude I was supposed to show my listing to never showed, and is refusing to answer my calls >_> It’s been 2 hours now, and I still haven’t heard from him. But whatever, I already have a full price cash offer on the house so who cares. And that means I can play WoW all day, now!

10 characters 10 fandoms 10 tags
Yay thanks for the tag @livinginsunnyhell
Hmmm... *cracks knuckles* don’t be surprised if there are a lot of daddy issues to go around.
1) Mickey Milkovich, Shameless... the perfect storm of character who had all these surprising layers to peel away plus a fan fave pairing plus an actor who is as charismatic as he is talented and a hateful villain to pit him against in dear old Dad.
2) Jack Shephard, Lost... the natural caretaker with major daddy issues. If Matthew Fox cries I cry okay? It’s been that way since Party of Five. I will never watch the Lost finale with a dry eye.
3) Castiel, Supernatural... the angel who fell in love with humanity. And one human. The good soldier who never quite got the knack for doing what he was told thanks to that beautiful crack in his chassis that let all these amazingly human emotions pour out. What a journey. Um also Daddy issues, but this time with a capital D because God was a deadbeat dad. Cas deserved better. Every season. As did Misha. Forever Cas girl.
4) Leslie Knope, Parks and Rec... Amy Poehler my love. I’d vote for Leslie Knope.
5) Loki, MCU... see: Daddy issues. A scheming little shit but also so rootable. One of the few MCU versions I prefer to their comic counterpart which of course is all Tom Hiddleston.
6) Beatrice, Shakespeare... it’s an OG fandom okay? She speaks poniards, and every word stabs. Favorite scene: Benedick after finally admitting his feelings asks how he can prove his love and grieving fuming Beatrice doesn’t want poetry or flowers. No she says “Kill Claudio” and explains her frustration in being denied the outlet to avenge her slandered cousin because dueling was a man’s business. God that I were a man... I’d eat his heart in the marketplace. Benedick gets it, steps up and agrees though Claudio is his best friend. It’s an intense test of true devotion in what had been a lighthearted comedy and always blows me away. Boss ass queen I love her.
7) The Creature, Penny Dreadful... Rory Kinnear should have an Emmy for his brilliantwork on this series. By far the best and most faithful live action portrayal of Frankenstein’s creature. Practically invented daddy issues.
8) Wade Wilson, XMenverse... tears of a clown. Deadpool is Deadpool and I love him a lot.
9) Ten, Dr Who... every Whovian has a favorite Doctor and the tenth doctor is mine
10) Faramir, LOTR....brave af but also just wants to marry Eowyn and be a scholar. Valid of him. Dad didn’t love him best. His loss.
Um I tag (if you feel like it) @onamelancholyhill @bellafarella @thevermingod @casdeservesallthelove @ianrightsonly @luckyshazmrsmonaghansblog @dean-you-assbutt-cas-loves-you @tikistitch @exitpursuedbyasloth @foreverlokid

Amy Madigan as Iris Crow in Carnivàle (2003 - 2005) with Clancy Brown as Brother Justin Crow.
“When I die, I’m going to Hell. And if I’m very, very fortunate, my brother will be waiting for me with an embrace.” ~ Iris Crow
Tumblr media
Amy Madigan as Adelaide Finnister in Penny Dreadful: City of Angels (2020 - active) with Daniel Zovatto as Det. Santiago Vega.
“So much I have sacrificed for you so you could be pure and walk with the Lord. When you were threatened, I became God's righteous minister of death. How could you know all I've done to take care of you?” ~ Miss Adelaide Finnister
...
Amy Madigan's characters share a lot of similarities.
Carnivàle was set in 1936, during the Great Depression and the Dust Bowl, while Penny Dreadful: City of Angels takes place in 1938 in Los Angeles.
In Carnivàle Amy Madigan portrayed Iris Crow, who was the sister of Father Justin Crow, a methodis minister who later became a popular radio evangelist.
In Penny Dreadful: City of Angels Amy Madigan is Adelaide Finnister, the mother of Sister Molly (Kerry Bishé), a charismatic radio evangelist and singer.
Both Iris and Adelaide are not married and sacrificed their lives for serving their idea of God and mostly their preachers daughter or brother, even committing murders. The both shrewdly manage the church’s finances and oversee the growing religious empire of their kins, trying to keep them on the path of righteousness.
In Carnivàle, Iris, born Irina Belyakov, has a shady past and secrets that wants to keep hidden from her brother Justin, born Alexei. Iris is the only person who knows about her brother's supernatural powers, she knows that Justin could use them to kill and harm poeple. But while Justin’s first murder was done in her name, Iris’ first murder (as far as we know) was done in his. Her nature is more insidious - she’s his “enabler” and allows him to skip merrily along the path to darkness because she thinks he’s doing it in God’s name. She’s the one who torches the Dignity Ministry, and it’s really all Justin’s fault. As she puts it so infamously: “You needed martyrs. I gave them to you!”.
She kills six innocent children because she knows their deaths will draw attention to Justin’s cause - and she’s exactly right. Money comes pouring in to allow Justin (once he gets back from his little wilderness trip) to build a newer, larger church that ends up taking over the entire valley and turning a migrant camp into a freaking city - New Canaan.
We know Iris is motivated almost entirely out of devotion to Justin, but it’s still not entirely clear why she stays with him after he makes it clear he neither wants nor needs her help. In Season 2 when he starts sniping at her, keeping secrets, and generally acting like a jackass to her, Iris still retains her deep and unshakable loyalty to Justin, murdering Eleanor, an Oki woman Justin redimed from her sins - she used to steal from Church offers -, and worked as colf in their house in New Caanan, because she watched Justin's true evil nature. Late in the second season, Iris joins her foster father Norman in an ultimately unsuccessful plot against Brother Justin.
In Penny Dreadful City of Angels, we saw Miss Adelaide plotting with Nazis and ruthless councilman, head of the Los Angeles City Council's Transportation Committee, Charlton Townsend (Michael Gladis) to get power in Los Angeles though the radio and the construction of a new motorway. In the last episode of Penny Dreadful: City of Angels, Miss Adelaide, after an argument with her daughter Molly, who wants to leave the Chruch for Tiago, reveals that she had James Hazlett, a diacon at the Church and a motorway entrepreneur, and his whole family killed, because he fell in love with Molly, threatening her position as minister —and Adelaide's one as well. Adelaide tells Molly that no one will ever be allowed to threaten her work and that she doesn’t want to hear anymore talk about Molly leaving. As desperate reaction, Molly takes her own life.
In Carnivàle Amy Madigan's character is the main ally of Father Justin, the villain of the show, while in Penny Dreadful: City of Angels she portrays one of the antagonists: they want to built a new motorway and create a new Los Angeles, segregating minorities and make social tensions getting worse.
Both shows are about the fight between supernatural forces and humans trying to defete the evil powers.

Chapters: 1/1 Fandom: The Big Bang Theory (TV) Rating: Teen And Up Audiences Warnings: No Archive Warnings Apply Relationships: Sheldon Cooper/Penny Characters: Sheldon Cooper, Penny (Big Bang Theory), Leonard Hofstadter, Amy Farrah Fowler, Bernadette Rostenkowski, Howard Wolowitz Additional Tags: penny being pregnant is utter bullshat, so here is my answer to that Summary:
The baby isn't Leonard's.
While the light is still red, Sheldon leans in and kisses Penny gently. She feels an interesting sensation in her belly as his lips meet with hers, and she is hopeful that there will be a lot more kisses like that in her future.
For Sheldon's fortieth birthday, he and Amy throw a huge party and invite everyone they know. With their Nobel Prize money, they have cash to spend on this affair, which they host at a luxurious mid-century modern beach house in Los Angeles (obviously this was all Amy's idea and Sheldon reluctantly went along with it). Raj mans the grill, providing hot dogs and hamburgers, and there is plenty of alcohol available to enjoy as well--Penny makes sure of that, although she does not imbibe herself--for obvious reasons.
"Are you having fun, Mama?" Bernadette asks Penny, after doing three tequila shots in a row with Amy while Penny watches with increasing jealousy.
"Of course! I love seeing my friends getting drunk and then almost drowning in the pool," Penny says, and Bernie laughs too loudly.
"I'll toast to that!" Amy says, doing one more shot than Penny would have advised.
Kripke and Bert are in the corner of the pool arguing about the season finale of Game of Thrones, and Leonard and Wolowitz are watching some Youtube video of the latest particle physics discovery on the patio, preferring to stay in the shade until absolutely necessary.
Penny is sitting by the side of the pool, surveying the action, happy for her friends and the fun they're having. She is also trying not to think about ruining most of their lives with one small sentence, which will have to be done sooner rather than later.
Sheldon extracts himself from Amy for a few minutes and comes over to sit by Penny. They both put their legs in the water. Penny briefly touches Sheldon's toe with hers, which makes him twitch a little. Penny laughs. She knows how much he hates other people's feet.
"Happy birthday, sweetie. I hope you're having fun."
"It's not the worst party I've ever been to," Sheldon admits. "Although I'd much rather be eating Thai food at home while watching--"
"The new Spiderman Blu-Ray, we all know, babe," Penny says. She loves her weirdo friend.
"Yes, that's correct." Sheldon takes a sip of the spiked lemonade Wolowitz made. Penny does enjoy a semi-drunk Sheldon. That's how they got into this mess in the first place.
"So I suppose you haven't told Leonard yet," Sheldon says, looking across the pool at Leonard, who is now eating a hot dog while playing volleyball with Howard. Penny has never been less attracted to him.
"Oh, yeah, I told him last night and he took it really well. He can't wait to raise your baby and co-parent with you and Amy. He's over the moon."
"Sarcasm?" Sheldon asks.
"Yes, Sheldon. Obviously I haven't told him yet. I wanted to wait until after this party. He's so happy right now--he thinks he's going to be a daddy and he never stops talking about it. This baby was going to give him the chance to raise a child the direct opposite of how his mother raised him."
"Why would he want to do that? Beverly is a perfect mother," Sheldon says, and Penny ignores him.
"Anyway. I'll tell him tomorrow night. Are you ready to stick with the plan? I'm not putting my ass on the line if you're going to chicken out."
For a brief moment, Sheldon puts his arm around Penny and she rests her head on his shoulder. This public display of affection is not a good idea, but nobody is watching them, and Penny can always explain that Sheldon was expressing his newfound happiness for her pregnancy if anyone asks.
"I'm ready. Amy thinks I'm going to a conference in Colorado next week and that's why I've been packing in advance."
Penny nods. "Good. But... you don't have to do this, you know. I realize this isn't how you imagined your life turning out. I can deal with it on my own."
"Of course I know that, Penny. And yes, this is not optimal. I made a vow to Amy and I planned to uphold it for as long as I lived, but things change. Now that I've won the Nobel, I find that I am amenable to other possible outcomes. You are carrying my child, and I am committed to you and the baby. We can make this work."
Penny smiles. "We can. I know we can. Have you figured out how you're going to explain this to your mother yet?"
"No. I can't even picture how she's going to react. There's no telling what Jesus is going to think of my actions but I'm sure I'll find out soon." Sheldon sighs and Penny feels the familiar ache of how their lives are going to change so drastically and how many people it's going to affect. "I have to return to Amy now. You are going to tell him tomorrow?"
"Tomorrow," Penny promises, dreading every single second leading up to her telling Leonard that she is actually having Sheldon's baby.
"Then I'll be ready tomorrow," Sheldon says, giving her a quick peck on the cheek. He takes his shiny alabaster legs out of the pool and walks away to find his wife. Penny watches him closely. Although she occasionally had feelings for Sheldon in the last 12 years since they've first met, of course she didn't think they'd end up together. But it feels... kind of right? She doesn't love him, exactly. Not yet. She's hoping that will come after all the guilt from cheating on Leonard with his best friend, and taking her best friend's husband from her, has dissipated somewhat. It's right there on the surface--part of her thinks she's been falling in love with him one small moment at a time for a while now--at least ever since they went shopping together and Sheldon came out looking like a snack in that black suit of his. That's when Penny realized he was way more than a socially awkward comic book nerd.
Penny gets in the pool and swims over to Leonard, who offers her half his hot dog, which she takes gratefully--she's eating for two now. Bernadette joins Howard at the volleyball net and they play together, couple against couple, not knowing that there will be one couple less in the next 24 hours or so.
24 HOURS LATER
Telling him now. Meet you outside in hour. - P
Fine. See you then. - S
It’s about 8:13 PM on a Sunday night. They just had dinner--Leonard made a lovely meal of roasted chicken and mashed potatoes, which Penny had been craving for a week. Leonard is sitting at his desk, writing a grant proposal (or something, Penny isn’t really paying attention) and listening to a TED talk. In other words, just like every other Sunday night Penny can remember in the last couple years. She has no idea what Sunday nights with Sheldon is going to entail, but she’s definitely ready to find out.
This would all be so much easier if she went with her first plan, which was to leave Leonard a note and never speak to him again. But Sheldon vehemently disagreed with that method and convinced her to tell Leonard the truth in person. Penny hopes Sheldon’s inherent goodness will rub off on her.
“Hon? I have something to tell you,” Penny says. She’s sitting in Sheldon’s spot on the couch.
“One second, let me finish this sentence…” Leonard says. Penny waits at least two minutes before Leonard turns around. “Okay! What’s up? Is the baby kicking again?”
“No, that’s not it. But it does have to do with the baby. Um, remember that night when Sheldon and I went out for some drinks and then I came home and was too drunk to, you know… do it with you?”
“Yes… of course I do. The week before is when we made that baby. And as I recall, we haven’t ‘done it’ since then.”
Penny nods. The ever-present guilt is starting to make her a little queasy. The questions she asks herself over and over, day and night, are stacking up again--how could I do this to him? He loves me so much and I cheated on him. I’m the worst wife ever. And the like. Penny has always known her morals have been questionable. In a way, she’s not even surprised this happened. Her relationship with Leonard was bound to derail eventually, just because she is the way she is. This is what she thinks in her darker moments--most of the time she’s able to at least justify it enough to make the guilt go away for a while. But that’s not happening tonight. Most likely tomorrow she'll wake up and her other dominant feeling will take over--that she deserves this baby, that her marriage has been a disaster from the beginning, that Leonard cheated on her before they even got married... you know, that kind of thing.
“Well. Sheldon and I had a good time that night. We laughed a lot. He drank more than I’ve ever seen him drink. He was telling me about winning the Nobel Prize and Amy and the problems they’re having in their marriage, and I did the same…”
Leonard looks--well, he looks a lot of things. A bit hurt, a bit confused, a bit angry. He’s going to be a lot more of those things in a few minutes.
“Why would you tell him about our issues? We barely even have any. You know I don’t want to go around telling our friends everything.”
Penny resists the urge to roll her eyes. They have plenty of issues that her pregnancy was just going to provide a band-aid for; before she got pregnant they'd fight every couple of days about both the little things and the big things. From how Penny never takes the trash out to how Leonard doesn't want Penny to audition for anything because he thought her acting days were over. They fought about that one a lot.
She doesn't argue with him on this point, though, because she's the one currently at fault here. "I know. But I was drunk, and I was in a mood. Well, something happened. Something you aren’t going to like. I made a mistake. Sheldon and I both made a mistake. When we got in the car to drive back to the apartment, we sort of… ended up in the parking lot of the Pasadena Public Library. And…” Penny doesn’t know how to finish this sentence. It’s so bad. It’s so so bad.
Leonard has started to figure out that his worst nightmare may be coming true at this exact moment. “And what? You checked out some books and went home?”
“No. It was dark and rainy and we were both drunk. One of us kissed the other. Then we got in the backseat and things… happened.”
“What are you telling me, Penny? Because surely you aren’t saying that Sheldon got you pregnant? That would be utterly ridiculous.”
Penny stares at the floor. She’s glad she already moved most of her stuff into the car so she wouldn’t have to stick around much longer. Can she leave now? Does Leonard have all the information yet?
It turns out he has a lot more to say. Penny listens to Leonard yell, and cry, and accuse, and say all the mean things she knows are true. He deserves to let it all out, she thinks. He deserves a better wife, and she deserves a better husband. They were never right for one another--just because they lived across the hall from each other doesn't mean they are soul mates. It just means they lived across the hall from each other.
While he goes on and on, Penny thinks about how she used to love Leonard at one point in her life--it seems like a long time ago, but she wasn’t always dissatisfied and bored with their marriage. She should have done something about it instead of ending up in a backseat with Sheldon, but… it happened. Things can change so quickly.
“I’m going to leave now,” Penny says when Leonard has finally run out of things to say. Leonard doesn’t argue with her. Instead, he ignores her completely, which she actually prefers. She gets her purse and a few other things from her room, and leaves the past behind.
Sheldon is waiting for her in the lobby. They hurry to her car, and once Penny has driven a mile or so, she stops at a red light. She turns to him and is surprised to see that Sheldon is smiling. Like, a real, actual, human smile.
"How did she take it?"
"Not well, I'm afraid. I believe she's writing you several angry texts or emails as we speak." Penny knows there's a lot more to the story, and that Sheldon is devastated in his own way. Amy was the first love of his life. She hates what Amy is about to go through, but there's no turning back now.
"That reminds me..." Penny says. She lowers the window and throws her phone out of it. It lands with a satisfying thud on the road.
Sheldon, without even thinking about it, does the same with his phone. Penny is shocked but delighted.
"This is the new me. The 40-year-old father of a new baby. The 40-year-old husband of Penny. The 40-year-old Nobel Prize winning scientist. I like the sound of that," Sheldon says. Penny laughs. She can fall in love with this Sheldon. This is a much different version of the 20-something she met for the first time who proudly showed her his whiteboards so long ago. This is the man she may, in fact, spend the rest of her life with--and that doesn't scare her or bore her to tears when she thinks about the prospect.
While the light is still red, Sheldon leans in and kisses Penny gently. She feels an interesting sensation in her belly as his lips meet with hers, and she is hopeful that there will be a lot more kisses like that in her future.
"Let's do this," Penny says. Sheldon nods, and as the light turns green, they drive into their future.

Before I watched DW everyone kept talking about Rose and how great she was and how I was going to love her. I don’t know if it’s because of the hype but I was seriously disappointed because she was nothing special and everyone kept acting like all other characters before her were just good and every character after her horrible. WHAT? I liked River, Amy, Rory, Clara better. Huge let down.
I was the same, nonny, before I watched I had my handful of Doctor Who mutuals telling me how awesome Rose was and how terrible Moffat's companions were. But since I started watching from Twelve's era, Rose seemed boring as hell and paled in comparison to Clara. And that's a shame because I fucking love Billie, she was my favourite in Penny Dreadful but here she was... Okay. First thing I thought was: Her voice technniqur surely has changed and matured for better over the years, huh?
I think I would have liked Rose better if there wasn't so much PCM in Ten's era or she had stayed just as Ten's friend instead of pushing her down to everyone's throat just to despatch her in the finale with Tentoo. Indeed, I think that I would have liked RTD's era a lot better if Donna or Martha were the lovers and Rose the friend. Because David's chemistry with the actresses was a lot more natural with them than Billie. No shade to any of them, of course.
And then is the fandom acting like she is the only character that matters and being angry at Moffat because he didn't make a stupid "Rose is back!" plot and concentrated in his own characters and romances.
If I was going to like her, the fandom and the PCM kind of killed that, and it's a pity.
Charley Pollard is what RTD dreamed Rose would have been in my opinion. She was a blonde, sweet, quirky companion, she fell in love with the Doctor and ended in other world. But her story was a lot more realistic and the narrative never cuddled her.

hi, i always come to your blog when i'm bored and need new ships to ship since you have similar taste to mine. can you recommend me any pairings that are kinda angsty and with a love-hate dynamic?? it doesnt matter if it's books or tv shows or movies. smth like bonkai, or klebekah or damon&kath. i love even unrequited love type of tropes etc
i’m glad to be your blog of choice in such matters lol
this always happens but when ppl ask me for ships my mind is a sudden blank. so this might not be the best selection since i’m sure others will come to me after i already post this ask but:  i would recommend amy and dan from veep (hbo) for amoral competitive assholes who love/hate each other. i’d also go with number five/handler from the umbrella academy. then there’s dinah and billy on the punisher if you want angst-hate. i also love the trashy and not really good but also great incesty bart and cindy from the dollganger series, namely the 2015 “seeds of yesterday” movie. it is. so. much. trash. (and trashy angst) (like, it’s hilarious how much bart tries to “hate” cindy)
oh! there’s also this modern adaptation of the taming of the shrew i watched with rufus sewell as petruchio and it is *chef kiss* in terms of “i hate u but i love u”
remembered another one! lee and wilson from utopia. oh my gosh. the hitman (lee) who teases one of his victims. wilson hates his guts. i love. there’s also ethan and hecate from penny dreadful! the sneaky witch and the suspicious werewolf. sparks fly (they also arguably have one of the hottest sex scenes on tv)
(speaking of romance, there are some villain/heroine YA books out there catering to this specific trope but honestly a lot of them leave me cold. stuff like the grisha trilogy (alina/darkling) or the shatter me series are fun, but they’re not visceral enough imo. i recommend looking at this post where, among other things, i talk about some hate/love bookish couples)
jfc this answer is a mess. i have so many! like this is my brand! but because they’re so many my mind is a blank lol

hi ellie! what's your top 5 tv shows? (no skam, this is kinda obvious 😂)
haha anon thank you for reminding me there were tv shows other than skam :D
- Buffy the Vampire Slayer - first series I ever went apeshit for, it brings up so many memories of saving to buy dvd boxsets and watching VHS tapes with my bestie and halloween parties and cutting snippets out of fan magazines (whoop i’m old). It’s dated and problematic now but. It’s still so Quality TM. It’s so good at using dumbass genre tropes (which are also super fun don’t get me wrong) to say super deep shit about life and love and growing up. There are a lot of parts I wish I could rewrite and maybe send different messages (Still not over Tara’s death...) but still, when I rewatch it I’m like wow, that shit was my life once upon a time. And the Vibe ! It’s still so funny and taught me the importance of using humor to support darker storylines so it doesn’t get too gloomy or self serious. And they’re doing a modern comics reboot, which I’m so gonna buy once money happens. Also we’ve gone far enough round the bend that some of their outfits are like. really cool again. And it was the actual first time I saw a lesbian couple story that was so positive and loving and celebrated. I didn’t even know I was bi at the time but it made me so happy. (and it pushed me into my witchy phase instead lmaoooooo)
- Star Trek (techically a cheat bc a lot of series in one but lmao). I became a fan like 5 years ago and still it felt like I knew it already, because it’s so engraved in our consciousness. It’s just incredible to think that people were obsessing over shit, shipping stuff, falling in love with characters, just like we do, already in the 60s. It feels so comfy to watch, and the optimistic worldview still gives me hope we can get our shit together as a species. I just go back to it periodically, it’s one of those things you know will be there forever. And some of the stories are dumb or really bad but some are just....so good and so deep...wow. My favorite has to be Deep Space Nine because I love so many of its characters and it got a bit darker and more ambitious with the overall storytelling. And I could write a political science essay about several of the plotlines. You got bad rubber lizard masks and everyone dresses like a train carpet, but also you got really deep storylines about guilt and propaganda and genocide and how to make ideals stick and nation building and the evils of blind bureaucracy and idealism vs pragmatism and !!! It’s my jam really.
- Black Sails ! I’m still ??? that we got a show like that. It was billed yay pirates boobs beaches explosions, produced by Michael Bay ! But what we got instead was like, ok wow. First of all 4 main characters are queer, plus two polyamorous relationships, plus several side characters who aren’t straight either including one that is introduced in the last 5 min of the show. They start with this really badass scary pirate captain who has a troubled story with a woman and then half way through the second season (spoilers) they reveal that the entire backbone of the series’ story is that he was in love with a man and he is so angry at how they treated him that he’s going to war with the entire British Empire over it. It’s one of the finest examples of heterobaiting I’ve ever seen. AND his relationship with the other main character is also extremely full of longing and subtext even if they never actually go there. Plus, awesome sword fighting lesbian pirate ! And of course apart from that the story is really good and says some incredible things about stories, power, oppression, empire, freedom, how ‘monsters’ are made. I think a lot of people slept on it because the first season is kinda slow to start and has a really problematic rape storyline. But imho it’s worth powering through. And it has one of the most satisfying endings I’ve ever seen in a TV show.
- Brooklyn Nine-nine. Ultimate comfort show and still so fucking funny - it’s arguably gotten better over time, even. Jake and Amy are one of the rare canon het couples I actually read fic for lmao. I love how all the characters are interesting in their own ways. I love how they dismantle toxic masculinity so hard, do diversity in a way that feels completely organic, and tackle some stuff that is seriously wrong with the US/cops in general from their middle of the road perspective in a way that never feels like they’re teaching you a lesson. I love that their female characters are all strong in different ways and shown to be flawed and still lovable and hilarious. I love how they portray their queer characters in such an honest way without ever reducing them to their sexuality. It’s one of these shows that actually makes being a grown up appear interesting and not boring.I love the big found family vibes. I love it so much.
- Bonus Cheat Round because I’m incapable of choosing one last one ! Halt and Catch Fire (Lee Pace ! Amazing creative female partnership !) Doctor Who (Moffat can fuck off but some of the eps remain incredible sci-fi stories) Skam (sorry oops), Avatar/Legend of Korra, Agent Carter (mostly the 1st season tho), Pushing Daisies (Lee Pace! Super cuteness! Whyyyyyyy was it cancelled sighhhh), Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries (Adorable period drama w badass female MC), Legends of Tomorrow (admire their committment to going for the most balls to the walls out there solution everytime, plus badass bis everywhere), Parks and Rec, the Good Place, Broad City, Penny Dreadful (altho I hate the ending my god), Hannibal, a Series of Unfortunate Events, the Expanse, Killing Eve (just watched, it’s amazing)... I guess I watch too much TV lol but don’t we all.

2. No titles but a nickname, Cam. She actually got it due to her interest in photography (camera).
3. For the most part she had a happy childhood, living with her parents, uncle, and cousin. A good memory is when her parents took her to Windy Valley for the first time to fly kites there. A bad memory is when she accidentally fell in a frozen pond in Ice Cap, which explains her dislike of winter and ice
4. She has very fond memories of her parents, which drives her to find them. The worst memory she ever had was finding out they went missing
5. She doesn't have a sibling, but she considers her cousin Erin to be a big sister. Though they different interests they support each other
6. Like every kid in the Sonic universe she doesn't go to school
7. She was very shy growing up so she didn't make any friends.
8. She doesn't have pets in a traditional sense. She does take care of Chao and has one named Shelley. She doesn't hate animals but she's cautious around bigger animals
9. The Flickies are tricky because they think that she's like Eggman. So she has to work extra hard to gain their trust like feeding them more food or turning her home into a sanctuary after freeing them from Eggman's badniks.
10. For the most part Cam isn't interested in children, especially babies and toddlers. Older children are more easier to deal with. As a parent she would take her children on a trip around the world so they wouldn't be stuck like she had been during the years her parents were gone.
11. Cameron eats like any other kid her age. She doesn't have peanut or tree nut allergies but Erin does, so she takes the extra step by not having ANYTHING nut related in their pantry. She eat nut products outside the house and she checks to see if there's no nuts or peanut oil in any of the groceries
12. She loves pizza, especially pineapple and ham. She also eats onion rings. For healthy stuff she eats pineapples and edible bush berries
13. Her least favorite food is pickled vegetebles. This is actually my sneaky reference to Chris Chan, who has an infamous hatred towards pickles. Cam also doesn't like coffee
14. Cam remembers dining at Twinkle Park for her birthday
15. While she's not terrible at cooking, the most she can make is basic food like pizza and simple soups. Depending on what kind of food she makes, if someone else eats it they would say it's good or needs a lot of improvement
16. Cameron collects sea shells. She also collects photographs of the zones she visits and puts it all in a scrapbook. Every now and then she makes copies of these photos to sell, especially after she lands a job at a fanzine. At Casino Park she develops an obsession with rings, but later she tempers it when she gets too greedy.
17. Again, Cameron is a photojournalist so taking pictures is pretty much a given
18. She reads travel magazines but also the occasional Penny Dreadful, her favorite music is soul and new age/spa. She doesn't watch TV much but when she do she gravitates to traveling shows or historical fiction. For video games she plays puzzle and platforming games. Other than that she took up gambling instead
19. Her least favorite genre is romance
20. She's not particularly fond of musicals
21. Cam doesn't have much of a temper but that doesn't mean she is fragile. When she gets cross with someone she doesn't mince her words while still being polite
22. She doesn't insult people (that's Sonic's thing) but she does use these terms: Rotten Egg (Eggman), Emo the Hedgehog (Shadow in SA2), Little Miss Arrogant (Darcelle). She tells them directly to their faces all throughout SA2 because they're on opposing side. Other than that no.
23. Cam has very good memory and can recall things with ease. I consider it impressive compared to the abundance of Super Forms, Chaos Control, and superpowers of the Sonic world.
24. Her sleep pattern is weird. She can stay up really late in the hours if she's feeling adventurous, but other times she sleeps all the way up to 3pm in the afternoon due to long hours at the diner she works at
25. Cameron finds a lot of things funny, whether it be random or ironically intentional. She has a good, if sardonic sense of humor. She relishes in seeing Eggman's plans blow up in his face. She also finds Amy's crush on Sonic pretty amusing if not adorable; this lessens once Cam and Sonic start dating (yes I have Sonic+OC ship get over it) when Amy becomes too much and she has to set her straight.
