coming out of my cave to say i started a series last sunday and have eaten up the first 3 books in it like a famished little rat in the space of 4 days and i am still drooling over them.

dark verse series by runyx is everything. the emperor is my favourite. dante and amara's story deserved two books. that's it i'm done.

Just finished reading the darkverse series by Runyx (super late I KNOW!) (right on time for the syndicator, I KNOW!) and I just want to come out and say that I loveeeeee the series. There’s not a single character I hate, and there’s not a couple that’s boring, and can we talk about the female characters?? They’re all soo strong and their communication skills?? Oh my god.

I can sit and rant about how wonderful the series is but there won’t be enough time in the world for it. May only disappointment with the series is that it’s not longer and it’s about to end 💔

Track 2 - Cruel Summer is PoppyAlex from People We Meet on Vacation (or You and Me on Vacation for the Brits) by Emily Henry. I think this one is pretty obvious : vacation, summer vibes and an upbeat song for a feel good friends-to-lovers contemporary romance book ! I love Emily Henry and even if this is not my favorite book of hers, these two are very cute !

Track 10 - Death By a Thousand Cuts is TellaLegend from the Caraval trilogy by Stephanie Garber. I think this song is kind of perfect for these two : not wanting to say goodbye like at the end of Legendary from both of them ! Still writing pages for a story over feels very Finale with its almost-ending and true-ending, and love cutting like it hurt them both in Finale :) (art by @/artsiidaisy on Instagram)

Track 11 - London Boy is HudsonGrace from the Crave series by Tracy Wolff. Not going to lie they are the first couple that I think of when I think about a British boy, maybe because of how many times it was mentioned 😭 This series may not be my favorite, but it’s funny and I still like it (in the way you like an old series that you read when you were a kid), and the couple is actually really cute ! Track 12 - Soon You’ll Get Better is HeronGrayStairs from the Infernal Devices trilogy by Cassandra Clare (⚠️Spoilers⚠️). This is not a romantic song, but it represent the three of them pretty well at different point in the series : when Will thought he lost Jem in CP, when Tessa and Jem lost Will in the CP epilogue (I cried so much omg 😭) and, I have a feeling, when Tessa will lose Jem at the end of his life. Track 13 - False God is DanteAmara from the Darkverse series by Runyx. I feel the way this man WORSHIPS the ground Amara walks is a pretty good representation of this song ; and I’m almost sure he talks about her being his goddess at one point in the book, so. False God it is.

Finale.

Dopo due giorni di messaggi insistenti da parte del pianista, a modi stalker, oggi ho tirato fuori la mannaia gli ho dato una spolverata e ho chiuso definitivamente sta cosa senza troppi giri di parole, perché se sei stupido e non ci arrivi da solo perché non riesci a leggere tra le righe, cosa che per un musicista è obbligatoria, hai bisogno del bastone non della carota, come mi aveva consigliato Spock "diglielo e chiudi sta cosa", fatto. Mi vengono in mente tutti quei messaggi che ho ricevuto, 4 in realtà, di persone che mi chiedevano se facevo ancora swing italiano, avevo trovato questo compromesso tra me e lui (io chitarrista e lui pianista classico romantico, gli opposti) e quello che poteva piacere a questo pubblico di trogloditi alcolizzati, c'ero riuscito amara consolazione, ma lui ha sempre preso questa cosa come un passatempo, alla faccia del professionista uscito dal conservatorio, o per certi versi solo una pratica che gli poteva portare soldini in tasca, visto che io non suono mai gratis e so districarmi bene nella gestione manageriale e la promozione di eventi musicali, cosa che al conservatorio non ti insegnano. Era un progetto a lungo termine e che mi dava l'opportunità di tornare a lavorare con la musica, cosa che giustamente a lui non interessa perché per lui la musica è un lavoro d'ufficio non la passione della tua intera vita, quella per cui lasci tutto e vai a suonare. La cosa è stata bella un paio di settimane, quando all'inizio ci preparavamo il repertorio e avevo già trovato la prima serata, poi un giorno mentre provavamo in una sala prove del balletto al teatro nel divertimento, la musica è anche questo, e tra le risate grasse ho improvvisato un balletto pseudo classico mooooolto ironico, ridevamo con le lacrime, l'abbiamo fatto vedere agli amici che si sono sbellicati pronti a venire alle performance e fare casino, si vede che la sua fidanzata posh inglese ballerina classica non ha gradito l'ironia e da quel momento è caduto tutto, ma lui non ha mai avuto le palle di dirmelo. Ricordo ancora oggi con dolore la notte insonne che ho passato, pensando alla prima serata, si proprio appena iniziato il progetto con un impegno preso lei, neanche lui, alla fine di una prova a casa loro mi dice che ha guardato le previsioni del tempo e siccome il giorno del concerto, che era una settimana esatta dopo, pioverà noi abbiamo pensato di

andare in Italia e se chiedevo al tizio del locale se si poteva spostare la serata, rabbrividendo ho scritto sto messaggio al tizio che in tranquillità mi ha risposto "se piove spostiamo tutto dentro, perché è l'ultimo concerto della stagione". Sempre lei, perché sai lui ha bisogno di una vacanza (dopo che è stato 2 mesi in vacanza???), le feci notare che erano 8 anni che non andavo a trovare mia madre. Fatto sta che da quel momento in poi la cosa era solo di mio interesse, con varie merdate che mi ha fatto fino all'ultima serata che non riusciva a fare coincidere le prove con le sue lezioni private, non abbiamo provato abbastanza e si è visto che durante la serata ha sbagliato diverse volte, brani semplici. Ad oggi non so esattamente se il motivo è quello, perché e visto che lui si reputa 'amico' non mi ha mai voluto chiarire sta cosa, alla faccia dell'amicizia, può essere anche che non gli interessava o visto che mi ha svangato i maroni per 2 anni chiedendomi di fare qualcosa assieme pensavo che sarebbe stato bello, perché suona bene anche se non gli interessa della musica, un musicista che non parla mai di musica e non entra nel merito dei discorsi musicali che musicista è? Ah beh lui è diplomato al conservatorio, è maestro di piano, e ti ci puoi asciugare il culo con quel foglio di carta. La mia incazzatura evidente su questo post non è tanto dovuto ai suoi messaggi insistenti, ma proprio a questa cosa del progetto, anche un pò al fatto che lui negli anni è cambiato per andare incontro ai bisogni della tipa tanto da diventare un'altra persona, infatti non è più lo stesso che ho conosciuto io, cazzi suoi è sua la vita, ma in quella situazione mi hai tagliato le ali, perché era una possibilità troppo ghiotta per me per levarmi di dosso l'aura da perenne disoccupato in cerca di un lavoro qualsiasi per sbarcare il lunario, visto che qua dell'arte musicale non frega niente a nessuno, però forse questa cosa è un pò ovunque ma io vivo qua e non ovunque. Concludo che poi Tumblr mi segna il post come "Che pesantezza!!!" :D

P.S. Ho cercato nell'harddisk esterno per vedere se avevo ancora qualcosa, non c'è più neanche la cartella di quel progetto, cancellata.
